Pirates on Rocks' Ship 996

"What is he doing? Is he provoking us?" Reina asked, puzzled.
“They don’t seem to be provoking us at all, do they? They’re probably just trying to scare us into leaving!” Vista said after thinking for a moment.
"Hehehe... What are you dreaming about? Pirates don't go into a treasure mountain and come back empty-handed!" Reina sneered and prepared to make his move.
The saying goes, "To catch a thief, first catch the king," so Reina went straight for the old white monkey, because it looked like the leader of the troop.
"Wo wo wo wo..." Seeing Reina rushing over, the white-haired old monkey did not dodge, but just kept waving his arms and legs in place. The monkeys around him seemed a little excited, but they were stopped by the monkeys next to the white-haired monkey, so they did not attack Reina.
"Huh? Could there really be some other meaning behind this?" Since the other party showed no intention of fighting, Reina couldn't continue his attack, so he stopped in front of the white-haired monkey.
“How about we go back and call the Doctor? He’s a smart man, he should know something!” Marco suggested from the side.
“That’s right, send someone back and have the Doctor come over!” Reina nodded and said.
Soon enough, an ordinary member returned the way he came to find Dr. Assie.
Strangely enough, although there were many passages here, the monkeys blocked them all, preventing Reina and his companions from passing through, except for the path they came from.
Left with no other choice, Reina and the others had to rest where they were and wait for Dr. Assie to arrive.
Soon, Dr. Assie arrived, along with Laco and Sachi, among others. Apparently, they had heard about what happened here from the members who had returned, and had come out of curiosity.
“Doctor, could you try… to communicate with them?” Reina said immediately as soon as he saw Dr. Assie.
"Woo woo woo woo~~~ Chirp chirp chirp..." Upon seeing Dr. Asie approach, the white-haired monkey danced around excitedly, humming and muttering something unintelligible.
"Are you saying we're not allowed to move forward?" Dr. Assie asked tentatively to the white-haired monkey after listening for a while.
To everyone's surprise, the white-haired monkey nodded, indicating that this was indeed the case.
This startled Reina and the others. What did this prove? It proved that the monkey could understand them!
Chapter 64 A Tricky Enemy
"Doctor, can you understand what it's saying?" Reina asked with a hint of surprise when he saw that Assie had understood what the white-haired monkey meant as soon as he arrived.
“No, I don’t understand at all!” Dr. Assie shook his head and replied.
"Then how do you know he means he doesn't want us to go?" Reina asked in surprise.
“I guessed!” Asie said calmly, pointing to the monkeys blocking the entrance to the passage.
Upon hearing Assie's answer, everyone's faces darkened simultaneously. It seemed that the white-haired monkey had said everything for nothing.
"So what do we do now?" Reina asked with a pained expression.
"What do you mean, what should we do?" Dr. Assie looked at Reina in confusion.
"They won't let us in!" Reina said helplessly, pointing at the monkeys.
Dr. Assie looked at Reina with curiosity, then slowly said, "You really want to go in?"
Reina nodded. If he didn't want to go in, why would he come here? To see monkeys?
"Then just go in! These monkeys shouldn't be able to stop you, right?"
"Hey? That's right! I can just go in! These monkeys can't stop us!" Reina clapped his hands and said with a sudden realization.
The other members all fell to the ground. It turns out you were the only one who didn't understand what was going on!
"Chirp chirp chirp..." As if knowing that Reina intended to force his way in, the white-haired monkey became even more anxious and danced around.
"You mean... there's danger inside? You won't let us in?" Dr. Assie continued to speculate.
The white-haired monkey shook its head, indicating that this was not the case.
"Is that your home, so you won't let us in?" Reina tried to guess.
The white-haired monkey continued to shake its head.
"Then you have to give me a reason not to go in!" Reina said, getting a little impatient.
"Chirp chirp chirp..."
"Sorry, I don't understand!" Reina's lips twitched involuntarily. They had indeed given him a reason, but unfortunately, he couldn't understand it.
"Hey... what do we do now? Since we can't reason with them, should we just force our way in?" Marco asked, squinting as if he hadn't woken up yet.
“Well then… it’s not good to linger here any longer. You guys stay here, I’ll go in and take a look first!” Reina said after thinking for a moment.
Upon hearing Reina's words, the white-haired monkey knew it was no use stopping him. With a strange cry, all the monkeys raised their weapons at Reina, as if they would attack him if he forced his way in.
But at that moment, some strange noises seemed to come from inside the passage.
"Boom boom boom..." The sound grew louder and louder, and the monkeys began to hiss uneasily, appearing somewhat restless.
"What...what is that sound?" Reina asked, somewhat surprised.
“It seems… something is rolling this way!” Marco said after listening for a moment.
"Chirp chirp chirp..." At this moment, the white-haired monkey seemed to breathe a sigh of relief and roared a few times at the monkey troop. The monkey troop immediately scattered and disappeared in a short while.
"What...?" Reina and the others looked at each other, not understanding what these monkeys were doing.
"Look! What's that?" Just then, the sound from inside the passage grew louder and louder, and soon, several huge spherical stones rolled out of the passage.
"Roar~~~!" After the stone sphere rolled out of the passage, it slowly unfolded and turned into huge stone men, which roared at Reina and the others.
"A stone man?" Reina stared in surprise at the scene before him; it was somewhat unexpected.
"Chirp chirp chirp..." Upon seeing the stone man appear, the white-haired monkey that hadn't left roared a few times before jumping directly behind Reina, pointing at a passage and chattering incessantly.
"Let me use this passage?" Reina asked, finally understanding what the white-haired monkey meant.
The white-haired monkey nodded and urged Reina on as if to hurry up and go inside.
However, Reina was not in a hurry. Instead, he turned to Dr. Assie and said, "Doctor, something is strange here. You take Olga and retreat outside the ruins. Let's go in and take a look!"
Dr. Asie nodded, and although Olga was somewhat reluctant, she and Dr. Asie left under the protection of several ordinary crew members.
"Boom!"
As they were talking, the stone golems attacked, but Jozu punched one of them into pieces. However, the stone golems that had been reduced to pieces slowly gathered together and became new stone golems.
"Joz, I'll leave this to you. Marco, let's go!" Seeing this, Reina told Joz to stay behind and hold off the stone golems while he led Marco and the others toward the passage indicated by the white-haired monkey.
After entering the passage, guided by the white-haired monkey, they moved forward quickly, following the monkey's directions each time they passed a fork in the road.
However, Reina also secretly had someone leave a mark so that if anything went wrong, at least they wouldn't get lost in the ruins.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, they finally passed through the maze-like passages and arrived at a magnificent, golden hall.
The entire hall was brightly lit by torches all around, and in addition to some murals on the walls, there were also some strange carvings on the pillars.
In the very center was a small mountain of gold, and there were many skeletons on the ground. Judging from the clothes and equipment left next to the skeletons, most of them belonged to pirates.
"Wow~ So the treasure is here! This gold is probably worth at least one or two hundred million Berries!" Laqué exclaimed in surprise when he saw the mountain of treasure in the hall.
"Why did you bring us here?" Reina asked, puzzled. Did the white-haired monkey just bring them here to search for treasure? It couldn't be that simple, could it?
Sure enough, as soon as Reina finished speaking, the white-haired monkey started baring its teeth at the pile of treasure, as if it owned something there.
"Oh~ Hehehehe... You haven't given up yet?" A dark figure appeared at the top of the treasure, his words seemingly full of disdain.
The white-haired monkey seemed quite afraid of the dark figure, baring its teeth at it while taking a few steps back in fear.
"Who are you?" Reina asked with some curiosity.
"Ignorant fools, it seems you're just another bunch of unlucky souls lured here by the promise of treasure! I am King Siro Willis! Foolish creatures, become my slaves!"
A dark figure emerged from the shadows atop the treasure trove; it was a neatly dressed monkey holding a scepter.
"Hahaha...it's actually a monkey!"
"How dare a monkey speak so arrogantly?"
The ordinary crew members who followed Reina and his group in all pointed at Ciro Willis, who called himself king, and burst into laughter.
"Hmph, rude!" Silo Willis stomped his scepter, and the stone figures they had seen before reappeared around them.
This put Reina and the others on their guard.
At first, he thought the other person was just a monkey who ate the Human-Human Fruit, like Chopper, which was why he could talk.
I didn't expect that the other party could control these stone men. It seems that the other party's ability is a bit strange.
"Marco, go up and try it first!" Reina winked at Marco beside him, signaling him to attack the opponent first.
Marco rolled his eyes, but still took a step and headed straight for his opponent.
However, the opponent seemed to be prepared. When Marco made his move, Ciro Willis waved his scepter, and a stone golem immediately blocked his way, stopping Marco's attack.
"Huh? These stone golems are stronger than the previous ones!" Marco thought he could kick the stone golems blocking his way and shatter them, but they didn't budge at all.
"Regardless of the circumstances, if we want the treasure here, we need to take them down first!" Reina said directly upon seeing this.
So everyone launched an attack, but these stone golems were much stronger than before, and even Reina couldn't shatter them with a single punch.
"Oh~ Hehehehe... Capture them all! These guys are pretty strong; they'll be even more powerful if we turn them into new stone golems!" Ciro Willis, who had retreated back to the top of the treasure pile, laughed as he directed the stone golems to attack Reina and the others.
"Hmph~ What a troublesome fellow!" Reina glanced at the stone golem and saw that quite a few ordinary crew members had already been defeated. So he covered his arms with Armament Haki and attacked the stone golem again.
"Reina, these stone golems must be under that guy's control. Leave this to us, you go and take him down!" Vista, who was standing to the side, cleaved a stone golem in several pieces with his sword, creating an opening, and shouted to Reina.
"Alright, leave it to me!" Reina kicked a stone golem on the head and used the rebound to run towards the monkey at the top of the treasure.
Seeing this, Ciro Willis showed no intention of running away. Instead, he raised his scepter and shouted at Reina.
"Turn me to stone!"
A beam of light shot straight at Reina. Reina was shocked and dodged the beam with a spin, landing on the ground from the air.
The beam of light that was originally aimed at Reina struck an ordinary crew member, and then, in front of everyone, the crew member slowly began to petrify until he was completely turned into stone.
"Boom boom boom boom..." The surrounding rubble began to slowly converge on the crew member who had turned completely to stone, and in the end, he too became a new stone man.
"Damn it!" Reina felt a chill run down his spine. If that beam of light had hit him, he would have been petrified too.
Although the Black Emperor's ability allows him to absorb energy of any form, he can only absorb the kind that causes direct damage. He certainly cannot absorb petrification abilities like this.
"Sharingan...activate!" Just in case, Reina activated his Sharingan immediately; he didn't want to turn into a stone man here.
Marco and the others, having witnessed what had just happened, became even more vigilant.
"Oh~ Hehehehe... How about it? Shocked by my power? That's not all! There's even more fun waiting for you! Come out! My most loyal servants!" Standing atop the treasure, Ciro Willis began to wave his scepter rapidly.
