Pirates on Rocks' Ship 996

So after greeting Reina and arranging accommodations for Shirahoshi, who was visiting for the first time as a guest, he happily prepared to bring Crescent Moon Island to the surface.
Although life underwater is quite nice, humans still need real sunlight and interaction with people outside.
As for Shirahoshi's accommodation, Reina wasn't worried at all. Frank would arrange it perfectly. The Whitebeard Pirates weren't without their own enormous members, so Shirahoshi's presence was no problem for them.
Frank acted quickly. When Reina returned to his room and hadn't even finished washing up, he sensed that Crescent Moon Island had begun to move.
"First mate, are you home?" Just as Reina was about to take a good rest, a woman's voice rang out from outside the door.
“It’s you! Lucian!” Reina opened the door and saw Lucian, Señor Piqué’s wife, who had returned to normal.
“Well! I heard from Mr. Frank that you were coming back today, so…” Lucien touched his nose shyly and said, “So I would like to invite you to dinner to thank you!”
“Hahaha…” Reina chuckled and said, “It’s just having dinner together, of course no problem, but I don’t think you have anything to thank me for!”
“Then it’s settled! I’ll be waiting for your arrival at home!” Lucien said with a smile.
“Alright! Have Pike prepare the drinks. I won’t allow it if it’s regular rum!” Reina nodded and replied.
“Of course!” Lucien said, bowed to Reina, and then left happily.
It wasn't until evening that Reina arrived at Lucian's house with the gifts he had carefully selected.
"Hey~ Piqué! It's you preparing the food? I thought it would be Lucien!" To Reina's surprise, it wasn't the hostess Lucien who was preparing the food, but her husband Señor Piqué, who was preparing the food at Lucien's house.
"Hehe... When I was sick, he learned to cook, but when I woke up, I found that my cooking skills were no match for his! And... he always felt that I shouldn't be too tired, so he did all the housework!" Lucian said with a bit of helplessness, "First mate, please have a seat, we'll be eating soon!"
“No need to be so polite, just call me Reina! You are residents of Xuan Yue Island now, and so am I. Let’s treat each other as neighbors!” Reina waved his hand, handed the gift to Lucian, then casually found a seat and sat down, saying, “However, some enemies have recently set their sights on Xuan Yue Island, so I need to move Xuan Yue Island to the North Sea to ensure the safety of the island’s residents!”
"Is there any trouble?" Señor Piqué had just finished cooking and was serving the last dish when he asked, "Do you need my help?"
“No need, just take good care of Lucian and yourself! It would be best if you could have another baby soon. You know Marco’s child is still young and lacks playmates!” Reina replied with a light laugh.
Chapter 963 Vegapunk and Dragon
After leaving Señor Piqué and Lucien's house, Reyner returned to his own house. The second floor was the room he had prepared for Robin, which he rarely went up to. However, in their house, servants usually came to clean regularly, so even though they hadn't been back for a long time, there was no dust or odor.
After a full night's rest, when Reina woke up the next morning, he discovered that Frank had raised Crescent Island from the seabed to the surface and was planning to head towards the Calm Belt.
Meanwhile, inside the Revolutionary Army's base, Dragon was on the phone with someone.
"Hey Dragon, are you contacting me at this hour because you know I'm about to die?" A strange voice came from the Den Den Mushi, sounding like someone sticking out their tongue.
"Vegapunk, stop making jokes like that. If there's anyone in this world who can live without dying, it's you. So stop saying you're about to die!" Dragon said, somewhat exasperated.
"Hahaha..."
On the other end of the Den Den Mushi was Vegapunk, the world's greatest scientist.
"That's why I said... I'm about to die! It's just that some things haven't been resolved yet, which is really regrettable!"
"What exactly happened? Is the World Government planning to target you?" Hearing his old friend's words, Dragon became serious and asked.
If the World Government truly intends to take action against Vegapunk, then he must make a trip to the New World, even if it means giving up his territory in the North Blue, because he knows what Vegapunk means to this world.
“No, my friend, don’t misunderstand!” Vegapunk said with a light laugh, “This is just a necessary stage in the life form process. I really want to see what kind of achievements that great kingdom of yesteryear has made! By the way, how is that little girl you helped… that child named Nico Robin, doing now?”
Dragon was silent for a moment before speaking: "Her name is Benedict D. Robin!"
"Huh?" Vegapunk was taken aback, then burst into laughter and said, "Hahaha... This is really interesting. No wonder the Whitebeard Pirates were so concerned about Ohara back then, now I understand! But why didn't you tell me sooner?"
Dragon's face darkened, and he said in a deep voice, "The whole world knows about this now, and Robin's background has been known throughout the entire sea for several years!"
"Eh? Really? Oh~ Sorry, old friend! You should know that I've been here all these years, and the sounds of the outside world don't reach me!" Vegapunk said somewhat dejectedly, "So, can you tell me about it now?"
“There’s nothing to say. You should know that our world is under invasion, so everyone must put aside their grudges and focus on protecting our world first!” Dragon shook his head and replied.
"You mean those strange guys? The ones called... extraterrestrials?" Vegapunk asked curiously.
The World Government had also told him about extraterrestrial visitors and even tried to get him some test subjects. Unfortunately, the bodies of those extraterrestrial visitors decomposed quickly after they died, so he wouldn't be able to research anything if he didn't come to the front lines in the North Sea.
“Yes!” Dragon sighed and said, “If it weren’t for these guys, the World Government would probably be in a complete mess right now!”
Both the Revolutionary Army and the pirates shifted their focus here because of the appearance of the extraterrestrial visitors.
So now the World Government has discovered that apart from the North Sea being somewhat chaotic, the rest of the world is just too quiet, and they want this quietness to continue!
This is also why the World Government and even the Navy did not send too many people over; all they needed to do was trap the extraterrestrial visitors in the North Blue, as well as trap the pirates and the Revolutionary Army in the North Blue.
However, the recent actions of the Destroyer have annoyed them. Although it was a misunderstanding caused by Reina's conspiracy, the World Government is still somewhat displeased. Those idiotic aliens actually managed to get their hands on Mary Geoise, which is the greatest humiliation for them.
Dragon naturally ignored the Celestial Dragons. If it weren't for the fact that fighting these extraterrestrials would strengthen their Revolutionary Army, and if these extraterrestrials really wanted to destroy the planet, he wouldn't have gotten caught up in the vortex of the North Blue.
That being said, Dragon understood that the World Government would collapse when the extraterrestrial visitors were driven away.
Although the Revolutionary Army was not led by Whitebeard when they arrived in the North Blue, their overall strength increased dramatically, even before he could see it.
If in the past, the revolutionary army needed various schemes to overthrow a kingdom, now they can simply attack with basic attacks.
Long ago, Dragon also hoped that people could understand his ideas. He hated war, hated fighting, and hoped that everyone would stay away from war.
But after what happened in O'Hara, he realized that sometimes words alone aren't enough!
Ohara, the world's largest intellectual mecca, was easily wiped out by the World Government because it lacked its own armed forces. Although they had brilliant minds and a diligent spirit, their lack of weaponry led to their tragic end.
Dr. Clover, the administrator of Ohara, was an academic adventurer in his youth. Dragon had the privilege of meeting him several times, and the two had very pleasant conversations. However, this wise man fell on the road to pursuing his dream.
Dr. Vegapunk also felt great regret over Ohara's demise.
Even after the Ohara incident, Dr. Vegapunk personally went to Ohara to see if there were any survivors, but unfortunately, the place had been razed to the ground.
However, the books that those scholars risked their lives to protect in their final moments have indeed survived.
Those fools in the world government have no idea what those books mean; they are the real treasure.
However, Dr. Vegapunk did not retrieve those books, not because Dragon was there, but because someone else had started the work before them.
Those are the giants of Elbaf!
The giant Haguval D. Sauron who escorted Robin away turned around and fought Aokiji after Robin left, but was defeated by Aokiji. Everyone thought he was dead, but only Aokiji knew... that he had held back!
Afterwards, Saron returned to Elbaf, and in order not to cause trouble for the giants, he never left Elbaf, and there was no news of him in the world again.
Neither Robin nor Reina knew that the giant who had once saved Robin was still alive.
Chapter 964 Vegapunk's Demand
"If you need anything, you can contact me anytime! Although the Future Island where you are is difficult to deal with, believe me, no matter how much resistance there is, I can take you away from there!" Dragon said firmly to the Den Den Mushi.
“Of course, I don’t doubt your strength! But what use is it for you to rescue me from here? Can your poor and dilapidated Revolutionary Army provide me with the funds for my experiments? Without funds, what use is it for me to leave here?” Vegapunk laughed and said, “So this is the only place I can stay. It was decided from the moment the World Government found me!”
Dragon did not refute this. Even with the wealth of the World Government, they had to restrict Vegapunk's funding in many areas. Otherwise, once this guy started his research seriously, the resources and funds he consumed every day would be terrifying.
Although his research achievements were impressive, no one could bear the weight of Vegapunk's genius mind, and he himself understood that this was his fate.
Vegapunk wasn't bothered by Dragon's silence, and instead said with a smile, "Do you have any way to let me see that kid named Robin? I want to see if Ohara is really dead!"
“Ohara has never died!” Dragon said in a deep voice. “And… if you want to see that child, I will arrange for her father to send her there. What do you think?”
"Oh? That pirate named Akame? I've heard he's an interesting fellow! But since we're having him deliver it, could we also have him send over one of the extraterrestrial teleporters? Didn't they capture two?" Vegapunk said with a light laugh.
"You know this kind of information very quickly!" Dragon said, somewhat speechless. "Don't even think about it. Unless you go to the Whitebeard Pirates' Crescent Moon Island to conduct research and find a way to keep your research results from being told to the World Government and the Navy, they won't let you participate!"
"Hahaha... You know, the World Government only lets me know what they want me to know. If they don't want me to know, then even if the news spreads across the ocean, I won't know!" Vegapunk said with a light laugh.
“No, in my opinion, it’s just a matter of whether you want to know the information or not. If you want to know, the World Government can’t stop you!” Dragon replied softly.
"That's a waste of time. I don't have that much time to waste on trivial things! As for Robin, I'll leave it to you!" Vegapunk said, then hung up the Den Den Mushi.
Meanwhile, Dragon stared into deep thought as he watched the Den Den Mushi being disconnected.
Dragon was at a loss as to what to do about Vegapunk's news that he was about to die.
He believed in Vegapunk; that man was always so intelligent, so intelligent that it was normal for him to know when he was going to die.
But he was wondering whether he should intervene. Losing Vegapunk would be a huge loss for the World Government and the Navy, but an even greater loss for the world.
This is why Vegapunk did not take any action after choosing the World Government.
However, it's too early to talk about these things now. He plans to finish what Vegapunk asked him to do first, and maybe things will change by then.
So the first group he contacted was his son's Straw Hat crew, because the person Vegapunk wanted to meet was there.
"Hello, this is the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, this is Vivi!" Princess Vivi's voice came from the other end when the Den Den Mushi was connected.
As the temporary manager, she also has the Straw Hat crew's communication Den Den Mushi, which Nami specifically gave to her.
"I am Dragon of the Revolutionary Army. Let Luffy speak to me!" Dragon said in a deep voice.
"D-Drag? Is he Mr. Luffy's father? Please wait a moment, I'll go get him right away!" He paused for a moment, then immediately remembered who the other person was.
Soon, Luffy, who was having a banquet, was summoned over by Vivi's people.
"Moshi moshi... This is Luffy!" Luffy casually took the Den Den Mushi and said.
"Vegapunk wants to see Robin from your pirate crew!" Dragon didn't waste any words and stated his purpose directly.
"Vegapunk? Who's that?" Luffy asked in surprise.
Princess Weiwei, standing to the side, almost popped her eyes out.
“Luffy, Vegapunk is a great scientist. It’s said that his IQ is five hundred years ahead of ours!” Princess Vivi explained softly.
"Huh? Five hundred years? Is it that powerful? Even more powerful than that gas guy?" Luffy asked in surprise.
The only scientist he knew was M. Caesar Clown, the user of the Gas-Gas Fruit!
However, Vivi didn't know who the Gas Man Luffy was talking about was, but she still nodded without hesitation and replied, "In the field of science, no one in the whole world can rival him! He is the world's number one!"
"I see? But why does he want to see Robin? If he wants to see Robin, he should just come here himself!" Luffy said to the Den Den Mushi after thinking for a moment.
"Anyway, tell Robin about this and give me an answer. If she's willing, have her contact Reina and have him escort her to Future Island!" Dragon didn't explain anything to Luffy, just finished speaking and hung up the phone.
"What?!" Luffy was completely confused as he looked at the Den Den Mushi that had been hung up, but he still took the message with him and Vivi to the party where his crew was having a banquet, and told Robin the news.
"Vegapunk?" Unlike Luffy, who was completely oblivious, Nami, Robin, and Franky were all taken aback when they heard the name Vegapunk.
"Eh? You all knew all along?" Luffy chuckled as he saw this. "Then you can decide for yourself!"
"Um... Luffy, can I come along?" Franky suddenly became a little hesitant and asked.
"Ah~ this~ I don't know either!" Luffy shook his head and replied.
"Luffy, did your father say why Vegapunk wanted to see me?" Robin asked after a moment of silence.
