It's almost like a wedding ring.

Although this ring is too shocking for a wedding ring, it is undoubtedly a "token" belonging to the two of them.

"Okay, fine."

Sagan put the collar back around Nefair's neck.

The iron block that can seal magic and make Nefarian belong to him is full of ferocity just by its appearance.

But for him and her, it was a token with both positive and negative significance.

After that, Neferpitou turned his head away in a daze.

"Excuse me, Mr. Sagan."

"What's up?"

"If they're not slaves, servants, or disciples, then what kind of relationship is it?"

Sagan's face stiffened.

-- I'd rather ask someone else about something like this!

Sagan, who wanted to become a couple but couldn't confess her feelings, was conflicted once again.

--As the Demon King, I have married a slave elf. How should I express my love?

He sincerely hoped that someone could teach him these things.

Afterword to Volume

Hello everyone. This should be my first time appearing on HJ Bunko. I am Shichi Teshima, the author of "I, the Demon King, Married a Slave Elf. How Should I Confess My Love?"

This story is a pure love epic about a man who gains great power but lives a tragic life, who meets a beautiful but ill-fated girl, and the two develop feelings for each other (grammatical error).

Okay, enough joking. This time, it's a long-awaited, authentic fantasy world. There are swords and magic, elves, winged beings, orcs with animal ears, even gods, demon kings, and demons. The currency is gold and silver coins, and if you're broke, you can just rob someone. And the boy who has been stealing food and getting beaten up since childhood is the protagonist of this story.

After falling in love at first sight with the elven girl, the boy realized that some things cannot be obtained through power. Indeed, a magician who spends all his time holed up in a dimly lit research lab certainly doesn't possess any communication skills.

And for such a deeply unforgettable first love, please continue to support them on their journey together.

[Note] It's been two years since I last wrote an RPG-style isekai fantasy novel, which makes me both nostalgic and a little embarrassed. (Editor's note: The following refers to the Japanese publishing situation.)

Speaking of the long hiatus, COMTA, the artist in charge of this work, also illustrated the "Shadow Butler Mark's Mistake" series, making this their second collaboration. Therefore, there's no need to worry about the illustration quality. It's truly reassuring to be spared that concern.

Regarding future plans, the first volume that will be published in February is the second volume of the novel version of "Takusuki no Tsurugi", "Toss Blowing Fairy".

Next, I'll be handling the novel adaptation of the anime "Frame Arms Girl," which will premiere this spring, and it will be published by Famitsu Bunko at the end of April. I also have another new work from me available at Famitsu Bunko, which should be published around the same time.

Besides these, there are a few other new titles in development, but that's about all I can report. Those other new titles should be released before the rainy season.

Next is an acknowledgment of gratitude to all parties involved.

To editor K, who provided many suggestions for establishing this project; to illustrator COMTA, who provided beautiful illustrations; to everyone involved in cover design, proofreading, promotion, and all other aspects of the project; to the children who have recently managed to cook me even omelet rice; and finally, to all the readers who have supported this work.

Thank you so much everyone!

One night in January 2017, when I wanted to assemble a model, I thought of Shimio Teshima.

Prologue of Book Two

Taiwanese version reprinted from Late Night Book Club

Published by: Late Night Book Club

"Sester Liqqvist—all your authority as Paladin Commander is frozen indefinitely, effective today."

Cardinal Griffith, the church's chief of the Chinnold branch and Shestie's direct superior, announced the news three days ago.

This was essentially a suspension, but she was not imprisoned.

Having no place in the church and not knowing where to go, Shesty wandered aimlessly into an alley in Chinnoind.

This is the place where she met a down-on-her-luck girl again.

"...I was so stupid."

She muttered to herself, all alone.

She no longer carried the holy sword on her back, nor had she removed the baptismal armor that symbolized her paladin identity. Three of her knightly subordinates offered to be her bodyguards, but she refused them all.

Because she is no longer a knight, but just an ordinary person.

Two weeks ago, a new Demon King was born.

His name is Sagan. (From *The Illusionist Killer*, Sagan)

The so-called "Demon King" is not the king of demon monsters, but the title of a king who has thoroughly explored the principles of magic.

They are the irreconcilable enemies that the church is determined to eradicate.

However, Shesty refused the mission to defeat the Demon King and even objected, arguing that the Church should not fight against Sagan.

The result is the current situation.

Even if I did so much for him, Sagan probably wouldn't feel any gratitude.

A man like him would never deign to receive help from an enemy, and might not even have the concept of gratitude.

He is a person who only believes in his own strength and overcomes all difficulties by his own power.

—Even so, she still hoped to do something for him.

Whether it was because he saved her twice, or for some other reason, Shess herself couldn't say.

She knew she would be silenced sooner or later. The Church could not tolerate the wielder of the Holy Sword rebelling, and would likely seek revenge against her with an even stronger determination to defeat the Demon King.

Now, she has become the public enemy of an organization called the Church, which exists solely to eliminate magicians.

Shess is actually timid by nature, so of course she would be afraid of this kind of thing.

Incredibly, Shirley had no regrets. She lived by her beliefs and was proud of who she was.

But she would be happier if Sagan could at least remember her existence.

In his heart, there was only that white-haired elf girl.

Shess did not intend to become a third party.

She only hoped to see him live a good life, build a family, and be happy. If Sagan could still think of her occasionally, she would be content.

She made this self-satisfying wish, and their images appeared before her eyes.

A fierce-looking young man, as always, and a pure white elven girl, with an adorable daughter sandwiched between them. Holding hands with the two, she seemed to resemble Sagan, a cute little girl with a fierce look in her eyes.

"Hehe, Sagan will definitely be a very doting father in the future."

Shessie knew that the man had a gentle nature deep down.

"Do you like this outfit?"

"Yes. Thank you, Sagan."

That does sound like something a new dad would say.

But was it a hallucination? Only after hearing these words did Shesitie come back to her senses.

"Sagan?"

She was completely taken aback to meet him here and exclaimed in surprise.

This action seemed to draw her attention from the other side, and the young man looked over.

It turns out that everything was not an illusion.

But somehow, a little girl of about ten years old appeared between them.

"W-How is this possible...? Your relationship has progressed to the point of marriage and having children...?"

Seeing Shess's astonished expression, the young man's face gradually turned red.

"Stop, stop saying such filthy things! Neferi and I haven't even progressed to that level yet..."

As he was talking, his gaze met that of the elven girl beside him, causing him to quickly turn his face away again.

Shess felt like she was being flaunted by her partner's affection, which made her furious.

Just as both sides were at a loss, the little girl pointed at Shestie.

"Sagan, who is she?"

Although her speech was unclear, there was a certain trust and intimacy in her words.

The young man nodded to the girl, then turned to Shessty.

Was the look in her eyes nostalgia, or awkwardness stemming from facing a complex enemy? Shestie couldn't help but swallow silently.

Unexpectedly, the young man said the following:

"Your question reminded me. By the way, who are you?"

Something seemed to go blank in Shirley's mind at that moment.

—I can't believe this guy doesn't remember me at all...!

This is just too much, isn't it?

Her tears finally broke free and streamed down her face.

The whole story begins a few days ago.

Volume Two, Chapter One: Even a Demon King Shouldn't Be Harsh on a Child

"—The Mark of the Demon King—"

In the library with its many newly added books, Sagan reads out a word by himself.

This is the library in Sagan's residence. It already had a considerable collection of books, but now it's piled high with all sorts of books that can't fit on the shelves.

It turns out that more than half a month ago, Sagan inherited the legacy of the former "Demon King" Magasiah, and the books piled up here were just the tip of the iceberg. Sagan only picked out some books related to the things she wanted to investigate, and that's how this scene came about.
