"But seeing that you're still alive, I can finally feel a little relieved."
"You were too careless. Look at you, you have no one to blame but yourself for being ambushed."
At first glance, Raphael seemed to be plotting against Shesty, which made her cheeks twitch slightly.
"Uh... he meant that because you never know who might betray you or when, it's dangerous to be careless. That's roughly the idea."
Sagan calmly provided his explanation, and Raphael nodded dramatically.
"As expected of my king, his talent is truly extraordinary."
"No, I can understand what you just said... Wait, you just said 'My King'?"
Shessty looked surprised, while Raphael nodded nonchalantly.
"So, I haven't mentioned it to you yet. I have accepted Lord Sagan's offer to become his steward, and therefore, effective immediately, I resign from my position as Paladin Commander."
"Eek eh ...
Sagan covered his ears at Shesty's scream, while recalling Raphael's conversation with Fael.
"I've come to offer you my head, as promised."
Exhausted at the city gate, Raphael triggered Sagan's barrier, prompting the three others besides Shesty to rush to greet him. These were the first words he spoke upon their arrival.
This man wasn't the one who killed Orobas, but he certainly could be considered an enemy. Therefore, the decision on how to deal with Raphael rested with Fal.
Frustrated by the time it takes for the second hand to complete one revolution, Fa'er finally came to this conclusion—
"In that case, you should serve Sagan and Neferpitou. That's best for me."
And so Raphael remained in Sagan's city to work for him.
—The research on the "Demon King's Mark" should make a leap forward in the future.
While some knowledge about the Holy Sword was gained from the Magasian legacy, the lack of a physical artifact makes a world of difference in research. If the patterns on the Holy Sword can be deciphered, the truth behind the "Mark of the Demon King" will one day be revealed.
Even disregarding that, there wouldn't be enough manpower to manage this castle and the Demon King's Palace.
Sagan had no objection to having any trustworthy subordinates, whether they were magicians or paladins.
—And there's something he feels he can't stay out of.
If Sagan hadn't met Neferpitou, he might have ended up like Raphael.
At that moment, Farah was looking up at Raphael.
"What's up?"
"Won't it be inconvenient without hands?"
"Hmph, that's none of your business."
"……Wait me a moment."
After saying that, Fael left Shestie's room. Shestie, who had originally said she was going back to church, probably missed her chance to leave and stood there awkwardly fidgeting with her fingers.
After a while, Fa'er returned, carrying a huge suit of armor in her left hand. It turned out to be the empty suit of armor from "The Undead," which she had left unattended since entering the castle.
"...Kneel down."
"Um?"
As soon as Raphael knelt down, Far put the armor on his left shoulder and then chanted something, causing the hollow armor to glow faintly.
"That should allow it to move."
"Whoa whoa……"
Raphael exclaimed in admiration.
That was the magic Fael used to control the armor to impersonate Varefal. It seems Raphael can control it now too.
"I never imagined that after Orobas, I would receive such a great favor from his daughter. I will dedicate my life to you."
"...You're exaggerating."
Fa'er turned her head away, but a faint blush had already crept onto her cheeks.
Just then, Shestie said, somewhat unconvinced:
"Excuse me... so am I the only one who has to leave here?"
"Well, I guess so."
"No, but...!"
Even though it was her own decision, Shess is going to start crying again.
Sagan had no choice but to say:
"Just come again when you have time, right? Nefi and Fael would love to see you."
"...Would you welcome me too?"
"Aren't you welcoming her?"
Fa'er looked unwilling to admit it, but she didn't deny it outright.
Shestia looked up at Sagan.
"Sagan, what about you...?"
Sagan's eyes widened in surprise at her question. But he scratched his head and reluctantly replied:
"...Okay, I think so too. You can come and have a drink with me."
Shessty immediately beamed with joy.
"Okay! Then I'll have to work really hard!"
Leaving those words behind, the Holy Sword Maiden truly departed this time.
"I can't stand her, she's so incredibly noisy... huh?"
As Sagan spoke, he walked to Nefertari's side, but for some reason she turned her head away, her cheeks slightly puffed out, as if she was sulking.
"Nefertari?"
"What's up?"
"...What are you angry about?"
Nefi tilted his head as if he didn't understand what he was talking about.
"Do I look angry?"
"That's why I asked..."
Before he could finish speaking, Nefi opened his arms and hugged Sagan tightly, as if he had caught him.
"Then, you can guess the reason yourself."
A soft touch pressed against me. My heart was beating much faster than usual from there.
If you look closely at the slightly reddened tips of her ears, you can see that they are trembling slightly.
—It seems that although she's angry, she's also expecting something?
Neferpitou's difficult request annoyed Sagan for a moment, then he gently touched her cheek with his hand.
"I'm sorry I left you alone last night."
Neferpitou's eyes widened in surprise, then she gently rubbed the hand.
"...Mr. Sagan is really cunning."
Sagan still didn't know if her answer was right or wrong, but Neferi seemed to have calmed down.
"...Raphael, you're blocking my way."
"Fa'er, that's too early for you."
The intimate interactions between the two were clearly seen by the castle's new tenants.

Postscript to Volume Two
Hello everyone, it's been a long time. I am Shichi Teshima, the author of "I Married a Slave Elf as My Wife 2".
This time, the two young people have a daughter! In short, this episode includes how to love a little girl who is not good at expressing her emotions, playing the "Guess Who I Am" game with their eyes covered, investigating the demon race and the holy sword, and the appearance of a cowardly female knight and a fierce knight, with both duels and cooperation with them!
Regarding my upcoming book publishing plans—I actually have a new book coming up next month, but I don't have enough pages to introduce it, so I'll leave it out for now.
Now, let's move on to the acknowledgments. To our editor, Mr. K; to our illustrator, Ms. Comta (Fara is so adorable!); to all the kind people who helped with the cover design, proofreading, and promotion; to my children; and to everyone who has chosen to read this book—thank you all so much for your support!
In April 2017, on a Saturday when the concept of holidays had almost disappeared, Shimō Teshima wrote...

"Nefi, I want to eat that."
"No, Fa'er. It's almost dinner time."
In the trading city of Chinnoind—
In the streets bathed in the glow of the setting sun, Neferpitou led the little girl by the hand. After shopping, they had stopped by to visit their friends Shestie and Manila, and were now on their way home.
The girl, Nefi, is a rare race called elves. She has pointed ears, azure eyes, and long, pure white hair that reaches her waist, tied with a red bow. Today, this elf is dressed like any other, in a navy blue dress, a white apron, and magic boots to relieve fatigue.
Neferi wore a rough collar around her neck that seemed out of place with her frail body.
That was a slave's collar, and also the most important token of her bond with her master.
The person holding her hand and pointing to the candies displayed in front of the roadside shop was Fa'er.
The little girl, Fa'er, looked to be only about ten years old. Her tender green hair, like new shoots, was covered by a hood with cat ears. She wore an exotic outfit with white and red as the main colors, but there were actually two horns hidden under the hood.
