The nine henchmen huddled together, hugging each other tightly.

"What am I going to do? Of course, I'm going to beat you up and then make you wash your mouths properly."

"No, please spare us."

The nine henchmen immediately cowered, kneeling in a row and begging Oga for forgiveness in a dogeza (a traditional Japanese kneeling posture).

"Even if you line up in a pyramid shape with your knees bent in a dogeza posture, I will not let you off the hook."

Just as Oga was about to capture the first henchman and throw him into the river, he saw a huge object floating on the river.

"What's that?" Oga shaded his eyes with his hand, looking at the light.

A middle-aged man with a rugged face, a mustache, and a muscular build, wearing only a vest and shorts, was floating on the river.

An arrow was stuck in the middle-aged man's chest, and blood was flowing out, staining the river red. His eyes were lifeless, as if it would be too late to save him if he wasn't rescued soon.

"Have I stumbled upon a crime scene?" Oga was startled.

Seeing this, the other henchmen also thought it was a corpse floating on the river. Terrified, they ran away while wetting their pants, looking utterly pathetic.

Although Oga was a little frightened, he judged from the man's heaving chest that the man was probably not dead yet, so he mustered up his courage, grabbed the man's feet, and dragged him out of the river.

Then... a bizarre scene unfolded. After glancing at Oga, the dying man's body suddenly split in two from his chest.

The torn chest contained no flesh or organs, but rather a white light. Enveloped in this white light, an infant appeared before Oga.

Chapter 269 Devilish Nanny

At Furuichi Takayuki's house, Furuichi looked at Oga and the baby in front of him with a bewildered expression and said, "So, this is the origin of this child."

Furuichi retorted, "Do you think I'm an idiot? What? An old man floats into the river, and then a baby pops out after the old man splits open? Do you think I would believe such an absurd thing exists in the world?"

"I'm telling the truth, Furuichi!" Oga said helplessly as the baby tugged at his hair.

Furuichi scoffed, "I'd rather believe that God will grant me a girlfriend dressed in gothic attire than believe your nonsense."

After Furuichi finished speaking, Oga suddenly froze.

On the balcony of the old town, the wind blew through the curtains, and a beautiful woman dressed in a gothic maid outfit and carrying a parasol appeared.

"Wow, is heaven really so powerful? Furuichi, look, your wish has come true!" Oga exclaimed in surprise.

With his back to the balcony, Gu Shi didn't see the beautiful woman arrive and said with disbelief, "Don't try to fool me."

“I’m telling the truth!” Oga grabbed Furuichi by the neck and twisted it around: “Look, isn’t there a beautiful woman on the balcony?”

Furuichi saw her: blonde hair, large breasts, gothic attire—a beautiful girl who perfectly matched all his aesthetic preferences.

Furuichi's eyes instantly turned into the shape of hearts.

Tears streaming down his face, he knelt down devoutly: "Heavens, thank you for your blessing... Beauty, I'm here."

Despite being quite good-looking, Furuichi has been single for over a decade, and his only romantic relationships in the first half of his life have been with gay men. He suddenly pounces on a beautiful woman like a vicious dog.

But then the beautiful woman showed a look of disgust, as if she were looking at excrement, and stomped hard on Gu Shi's face with her high boot.

"Humans, especially male humans, are disgusting and should die!"

The blonde beauty, a demon maid named Hilde Garda, brutally ravaged Furuichi before pointing her parasol at Oga: "Human, hand over your master."

"Huh? Who are you? Acting so arrogantly in someone else's house, you're going too far!" Oga watched his friend get a beating but didn't lift a finger. He just picked his nose and said with a disgruntled expression.

"I am the demon maid who takes care of the young master, my name is Hilde Garda..."

Oga stopped picking his nose, and Furuichi looked completely bewildered.

demon?

This woman claims to be a demon?

Hilde continued, "The child beside you is the future king of our demon race. His name is Caesar de Ampilena Belzebabu IV. In other words, this child is the Demon King."

As the words "Demon King" echoed in the room, Oga and Furuichi felt as if a thousand elephants were running wild in the wilderness.

Believe it or not?

After his ordeal at Ishiyama High School, Oga realized that the world was not so simple.

But at least everything at Ishiyama High School can be explained by high technology, while the Demon King thing is a bit outrageous!

But when he thought of the old man who had split open by the river and the white light inside his body, Oga began to believe in the identity of this beautiful girl demon.

Oga and Furuichi looked at each other, communicating their thoughts with just their eyes.

"Hey, is this guy serious? Trying to convince this kid he's a demon king? Demon king my foot! He doesn't look like a demon king at all."

"I do not know!"

"Didn't you pick up this kid? Explain yourself, you idiot Oga!"

"Idiot, Furuichi, you're the idiot."

The two started arguing with their eyes.

Ignored by them, Hilde's forehead creased with fury: "Enough, you two foolish humans, hand over the young master to me now."

Oga and Furuichi ended their telepathic connection. Furuichi scratched his head and said, "You mean Miss Hilde? I'll call you that for now. You came here just to take this child away, right?"

“That’s right,” Hilde said impatiently.

“That’s great. Actually, we’re also having a headache dealing with this brat. It would be wonderful if you could take him away.” Furuichi pointed to the little Beelzebub on Oga’s body.

Oga did not hesitate or feel reluctant about sending Beru away.

Ultimately, Oga and Furuichi are both still underage high school students, and it's impossible for them to raise a child of unknown origin. Letting the child's guardian take him away is the best option.

Hilde breathed a sigh of relief and stood up: "You guys know what's good for you."

She walked to Oga's side and said to the little boy who looked like a young Roronoa Zoro, who was hanging on Oga's body, "Young master, let's go, be good and leave this place with me!"

Little Beelzebub turned its head away, buried its face in Oga's chest, and didn't look at Hilde. It just held tightly to Oga's clothes and refused to let go.

"Young Master, you can't disobey!" Hilde reached out to hug Little Beru.

However, although Little Beel appears to be an infant, its true form is a demon king with incredible strength. It clings to Oga's clothes and won't let go, even though Hilde tries her best to pull it off.

"Young master, please come with me and leave this place!"

Hilde used a sliver of magic to try and separate Oga and Baby Beel.

However, her actions backfired. Little Beel instinctively released his magic power, using Oga as a medium to fight against Hilde. The immense magic power of the demon king's cub was transformed into a terrifying electric current, instantly knocking Hilde and Oga to the ground.

Ten minutes later, Hilde and Oga finally awoke from their unconsciousness...

The three of them sat cross-legged around Little Beru, looking worried.

Hilde's plan to take Little Beel away failed, and she said dejectedly, "It's no use. Young Master Beel has already chosen you as the Demon King's father, and we can't let him leave now."

Oga asked, looking confused, "The Demon King's father? What is that? What does it have to do with me?"

Hilde sat up straight and said, "Beelzebub's biological father, the Great Demon King, is unable to find the time to destroy humanity due to his busy schedule."

So they sent his son to Earth to destroy humanity, and you were lucky enough to be chosen as the young master's father and guardian on Earth, responsible for raising him to adulthood and then destroying humanity.

Oga was stunned again: "No... don't joke around, what kind of demon king's father, guardian, destroying humanity? I don't want to get involved in these things for no reason!"

Hilde's expression turned cold as she slowly drew her umbrella sword, saying, "So you're going to refuse? If you refuse, then you might as well die! I don't want the young master to just casually choose someone like you as his father!"

Hilde wasn't joking; she really did draw her umbrella sword and slash at the two of them.

The title of "Father of the Demon King" is incredibly prestigious. Theoretically speaking, Hilde, as a demon maid, is of lower status than the Demon King's human father.

To expect the proud and noble Hilde to submit to a weak human? What a joke! How could she possibly agree to that?

The best solution is to kill Oga and choose a powerful human as a foster father for Beelzebub.

There are also powerful beings among humans whom even the demon maidens cannot defeat; such individuals are the best candidates to be the Demon King's father.

Oga and Furuichi were enveloped by Hilde's murderous aura, their hair standing on end, and they dodged Hilde's slashes by rolling and crawling.

Oga, carrying Baby Beel, jumped out of the window, shouting as he fled in a disheveled manner, "Hey, are you serious?"

Behind him, the rooms in the old city had been hacked to pieces. Looking at the building shrouded in smoke and dust, Oga knew without Hilde's reply that she was serious.

The demon, capable of slashing houses to pieces, was no match for Oga, who turned and ran without hesitation.

"Trying to run? How could a human possibly escape the clutches of a demon?"

Hilde leaped over ten meters and landed on a utility pole. Her posture and the condescending expression she gave the two of them earned her full marks from both Gilgamesh and Itachi.

Watching the two figures disappear into the distance, Hilde didn't give chase, but instead shouted, "Akubaba! Kill them!"

A high-pitched bird call echoed from the sky.

A shadow loomed over the two men on the ground, then gradually expanded, like a fighter jet rapidly swooping down on them.

When Furuichi looked back, he saw a strange bird flying in the sky and almost peed his pants in fright.

It was a strange bird with a lizard's tail, resembling both a vulture and a pterosaur. Its head was about the size of a human, its wingspan was over ten meters, and its enormous claws were sharper than a dinner knife, making it look extremely difficult to deal with.

There are real-life news reports of giant eagles snatching lambs from the sky, dropping them to their deaths, and eating them.

This strange bird in front of us is larger than any other bird of prey on Earth. It could probably grab an adult, let alone a lamb.

Looking into Akubaba's crimson pupils, Furuichi was now completely convinced that demons existed in reality.

Faced with Akubaba's dive, Furuichi chose to crouch down with his head in his hands.

However, Oga, fearless, charged bravely towards Akubaba.

"Roll it away, you dead bird!"

Oga kicked the strange bird in the head, not only stopping the swooping Akubaba completely, but also sending it flying.

The enormous, strange bird swerved sideways and crashed into the roadside iron railing, instantly denting it.

"This... how is this possible? A mere human actually kicked Akubaba away with one kick."

Hilde's impression of Oga changed slightly, but his strength was still not enough.

In the Demon World, Akubaba is merely a beast of burden. While a human being who can defeat a beast of burden in the Demon World is certainly considered quite powerful, they are still far from being able to become the father of the Demon King.

Seeing the two fleeing, Hilde personally set off to chase after them.
