Chapter Forty-Nine: The Last Meeting

Berlin, Mingus Base

The traces of battle were everywhere: countless bullet holes and spent cartridges, signs of smoke and fire everywhere, and most of the emergency lights were destroyed. The dim, gloomy environment, the occasional glimpse of corpses, and pools of blood proved that this place was no different from hell.

The fighting on the upper levels of the underground base has basically ended, with only sporadic resistance remaining in a few fortifications.

But it's only a matter of time before it's all cleaned up.

Compared to this, the more worrying thing is that the undead creatures emerging from all corners have formed a vast "Undead Legion" and are heading towards Berlin. These undead creatures, who have an extreme thirst for fresh flesh, seem to be afraid of something, and none of them dare to set foot in Mingus base, which undoubtedly reduces the burden on the Allied forces in the base.

Da da da!

Ta-da!

The muzzle, spitting flames, was aimed at a tall, dark figure. As the bullets from the muzzle approached the ghostly figure in military uniform, each metal bullet seemed to be struck by an invisible blade, disintegrating in mid-air and losing its lethal kinetic energy before clattering and falling to the ground!

boom!!

They clenched their hands together abruptly, unleashing a thunderous roar! Caught off guard, the five Allied soldiers in the combat team coughed up large amounts of blood from their mouths, noses, and eyes, collapsing limply to the ground, lifeless!

"Damn trash!!"

[Heavenly Thunder] His terrifying face, like that of a demon, was brewing a chillingly vicious emotion. He raised his hand again and created a sonic wave, tearing the corpses of the dead Allied soldiers into several pieces before he could vent some of his anger.

During the pursuit of Captain America, there were always some clueless fodder running out to die. Although they couldn't cause him any real harm, they slowed down his chase, causing him to lose sight of Captain America. Twenty minutes of cover passed quickly, and Thunder had to return to the bottom level to escape the base with Red Skull.

After escaping this base, they launched the Third Reich's final declaration of war against the world!

He slightly calmed down his violent emotions.

With his charred military uniform and terrifying demonic face, Tian Lei ran quickly in another direction.

Meanwhile, Captain America, who had been constantly chased by lightning, accidentally broke through and rushed into the vicinity of the final entrance to the Mingus base. The multiple iron gates blocking his way were rendered useless by the explosive power of the bombardment machine, and the closer he got to the lower levels, the weaker the will to resist of the German soldiers became, with few of the stubborn and determined soldiers who had fought to the death like in the first few levels.

"That was really close."

Dressed in a cool and alluring outfit, Ellie stepped on the crater left by her own explosion, standing imposingly at the breach, surveying the final level of the Mingus base. The danger she spoke of was that she and her companions had been relentlessly pursued by the lightning, barely able to fight back. Had their captain not been such a muscular giant, they might not have been able to outrun that monster.

"Is this the last floor?" Fio, the big-breasted bespectacled girl who peeked out from behind Eri, was a little slow to realize what was going on. She blinked her big, watery eyes as she looked at the last floor of the Mingus base.

"That's right, it's the last floor."

The captain, holding the shield, also looked around the base's lower levels with a hint of amazement.

The layout of this base was completely different from the previous layers. This lowest level occupied a vast area, the exact size of which even the captain didn't know. With his exceptional eyesight, he couldn't even see the edge at a glance from the high platform at the entrance; it was very spacious and displayed many large aircraft.

Looking down from a height of over thirty meters, one feels a sense of dizziness that is both terrifying and unsettling.

As the captain scanned the area below, his gaze was inevitably noticed by certain other superhumans. Although the explosion of Mile was quite loud, confirming identities was not an easy task.

As the captain's gaze swept over a certain spot.

The crimson pentagram flickered in the eyes of the Depriver, who was directing the Undead Legion outwards from the lowest level. He looked up to the limit of his vision and saw Captain America and his two companions. Suddenly, a sharp, needle-like pain shot through his eyes, causing the Depriver, who had never suffered any serious injury before, to bend over in agony and grimace. It took him a while to recover, and he beckoned to the female officer beside him to support him.

The female officer, with her curvaceous figure and long, wavy blonde hair, supported the "Depriver," intentionally or unintentionally rubbing her soft, high breasts against his arm.

[The Depriver] disregarded the stares of others, wrapping his weight around the female officer's slender waist and draping himself over her. Naturally, some touching was inevitable during this process. The pricking pain quickly subsided, and [The Depriver] looked at the blushing, alluring female officer with a playful glint in his eyes.

He knew that this busty, curvy woman with a wasp waist was a secret agent recruited by Red Skull.

But who cares about all that?

In this increasingly crazy world, there is naturally something to enjoy. Otherwise, why would we hold back our happiness for the sake of ridiculous and illusory morality?

"Contact Commander [Red Skull], our enemy is upon us. The final plan can be initiated." Giving instructions to the communications officer beside him, [The Depriver] sensed the escalating danger in the air. He knew that those who had no way out would eventually face another battle.

Having pondered this, [The Depriver] turned to look at the beauty beside him. "Will you stay with me until the end?"

The female officer, who was wearing an impeccable and charming smile, suddenly froze.

Everyone's just putting on an act.

This slight stiffness naturally did not escape the notice of [The Depriver]. He pressed the female officer's head down and gave her a lingering, deep kiss. A certain flame within him, far from being extinguished, actually intensified. After the deep kiss, [The Depriver] was no longer infatuated or intoxicated as before. Instead, his expression turned serious, and he pushed the tall, beautiful female officer away.

"You go."

The female officer, who had been pushed aside, was a little unsteady on her feet, her face flushed unnaturally. She suddenly felt that this man had lost some of his frivolity and superficiality, and gained a mysterious and profound quality that was difficult for outsiders to understand.

[The Depriver] tugged hard at his military overcoat, as if that would make him appear more upright. He felt a strange unease, and couldn't help but think of that otherworldly being.

It wasn't about possessiveness or love.

Rather, it was a kind of jealousy that the "Depriver" was unwilling to admit. While he despised his fellow human for living like a native, he was also jealous that the other could live so authentically in the world he had traveled to. This extremely contradictory feeling had no one to confide in, so the "Depriver" decided to see that fellow human one last time.

Chapter Fifty: To the East

At this moment, Huang Quan was unaware that another transmigrator from the world of Divine Comedy was still thinking about her.

She has focused most of her energy on her own system.

The system found it utterly incredible that the host had managed to overcome the fourth-tier lifeforms of the Divine Comedy world through sheer faith and courage, albeit by sheer luck. It should be said that Huang Quan had used a clever trick to persuade the fourth-tier lifeform, Westcott. Although Westcott didn't explicitly say he would abandon his beliefs, he undoubtedly acknowledged a possibility described by Huang Quan. Of course, this wasn't just a simple acceptance…

Since that future has been depicted.

Whether she likes it or not, this is Huang Quan's power at a turning point in the world's progress, and she must strive for that future to come.

'Then you are truly full of conscience...' In the consciousness space, Huang Quan sarcastically praised the system's conscience.

Here's a joke: the system's conscience.

The reason Huang Quan was so blunt in mocking the system was because the system had just clearly told her that she absolutely could not stay in the Divine Song World's doomsday countdown for that long.

In other words, her efforts were destined to yield no results.

Efforts yielding no visible results can be a devastating blow to one's motivation. The system hopes Huang Quan won't invest too much in this world, because it's not worth it. A world worthy of a qualified transmigrator's complete dedication and passion for change is a rare and precious find!

'All actions of the system are for the benefit of the host.'

Faced with Huang Quan's sarcasm, the system's lifeless, inorganic voice responded calmly.

To be honest, its relationship with its host isn't exactly great, but it's impossible for it to plot against or even fight to the death. The system still wants to nurture Huang Quan towards perfection. Although the [Demon Contractor] class is currently going astray, suppressing the growth of another lineage, it's not without hope of redemption.

Sarcasm is sarcasm.

It's an undeniable fact that the system is truly useful, and extremely so. Huang Quan, after all, is a highly self-disciplined and rational individual; once his initial emotions subsided, he began considering how to achieve perfection.

'How many world quests will I need to complete before I can return to the world of Divine Comedy to fulfill my promise? How much time does this experience translate to?'

'The world of Divine Comedy, AD 1945. The aftermath of this mission world is extremely uncontrollable, unpredictable, and should not be touched. The host's questions have exceeded the system's limits. The system is not an omnipotent wish-granting machine; the host is advised to make good use of all the powers at their disposal.'

The world of Divine Comedy is dangerous.

The world itself is dangerous, as are the prying eyes of the outside world, the ancient malice that corrupts it, and even the existence of superhuman beings in this world! Originally, the Divine Comedy AD1945 shouldn't have been this terrifying, but after two or three waves of time travelers caused trouble, there are far too many uncertain and dangerous aspects for newcomers.

If you travel to other worlds and still view them with the same old perspective, you'll suffer a terrible fate.

An amusing anecdote once surfaced during high-dimensional communication: a time-traveling monster, who had somehow struck it rich, accidentally returned to a world he had previously deployed interference variables to. Without prior reconnaissance using variables, he assumed that world remained unchanged and generously dumped all his variables into it. As it turned out, that world was abnormally interfered with, causing its entire civilization to leap forward, leaving the poor time-traveling monster with nothing.

Even if a time-traveling monster loses everything, he can still make a comeback.

But systems are different; their high-dimensional nature dictates that they only have one variable (the host). If the host is finished, the system is basically half dead as well.

'It is recommended that the host guide the chosen one of the world's most promising individuals, Eric, to inherit the host's ideals and complete the transformation of the subsequent world. This is the optimal solution analyzed by the system so far.'

Upon hearing this, Huang Quan slightly turned his head to glance at Eric, the boy behind him.

Indeed, from any perspective, this is currently the best solution. Leaving aside some hidden reasons the system is unwilling to disclose, it's a good compromise.

Huang Quan's cold, sharp gaze as he turned his head startled him!

Eric shrank back sharply. Clearly, the scene of Huang Quan and Westcott chatting and laughing had left an indelible impression on him. Constantly having his supernatural power suppressed, he was like a lamb to the slaughter. Who knew if [Raven] would make him cripple or kill him if he was unhappy!

The ferocity and terror of the crow had penetrated deep into Eric's heart.

After all, he was a sage who could face the Golden Dawn without flinching. Such a person would be revered by all, not only in this era but even in the Age of Gods!

'Am I really that scary?'

Noticing Eric's strong reaction to his cold glance, Huang Quan couldn't help but wonder. Could such a seemingly immature young man truly achieve great things?

The system suggests the host be kind.

The system didn't directly answer Huang Quan's question, but instead offered a more tactful approach. From the perspective of normal social interaction and charm, Huang Quan had effectively used his personality to negate his physical advantages.

Based on the female ghost swordsman's appearance template, Huang Quan can basically greet everyone she meets in human society with a high degree of friendliness.

Good looks are everything!

The system advises the host to make good use of all the power at their disposal. The true meaning is that it hopes Huang Quan will broaden his horizons as he continues to advance, and not be confined to simple violence. Sometimes, the system believes that if the host, Huang Quan, were to be slightly more flexible and adaptable, he would solve problems more smoothly.

'I'm not suited to be a teacher.'

After thinking for a moment about how to guide Eric, Huang Quan sighed again that his personality was not suited to being a teacher.

'But I'm willing to give this world a try!'

After Huang Quan described an ideal world to Westcott, she became deeply invested in it. In fact, transmigrators like Huang Quan are often called those who have fallen into delusion or are deluded by reality. Whether transmigrators should hold such a dangerous mindset is a subject of ongoing debate in higher dimensions.

“Eric, I told you before, I would tell you the answer.” Huang Quan suddenly placed her hand on Eric’s little head; she was willing to give it a try.

"Answer……"

"If I have the chance later, I will go with you to verify it. If I don't have the chance, I hope you can go to the ancient Eastern country, find an organization, join them as a mortal, and learn their spirit. When you realize the power of mortals, recall my conversation with Westcott today, and you will know the answer."

Everyone's answer will be different; Huang Quan can only provide a general approach.

Chapter 51 Armed Support Recovered

The final battle was a grand spectacle.

It should be said that since the last Crusade, the world of Divine Comedy has never seen so many extraordinary beings gathered together, divided into two camps, eyeing each other with hostility! The resilience displayed by various nations and races after the awakening of national consciousness during World War II terrified the enemy!

This resilience has also been passed down to the extraordinary individuals.

It's a fight to the death!

The gunsmith who was locked in combat with the demonic shadow was eventually worn down and killed by the half-demonized shadow, who ran out of ammunition and supplies. Faced with an enemy who was still standing stubbornly even after losing his life, the demonic shadow, bleeding and shrinking back, couldn't help but feel a deep sense of admiration.

He took off his cowboy hat and bent down slightly.

May you rest in peace in heaven, buddy.

The Shadow appeared to be the last member of the Justice League to reach the lowest level of the base. The Allied and Nazi superhumans stood facing each other through the fortifications, seemingly hesitant to act as if they were wary of anything.
