Siji tilted her head and thought for a moment, then suddenly looked at Yuan Yuan with an expression that said, "Ah! I've been tricked!"

"Yuan Jun is bullying me. To avoid being rejected by the world when I descended, I used a completely human body without any special abilities. I'm only able to stand in the air because of Yuan Jun's help. If I really chose to wander around, wouldn't I be immediately captured and eaten by the monsters below, and then forced to return to my original world?"

"He's not stupid to the core."

Yuan Yuan glanced at Siji, a cold smile appearing on his lips.

"I brought you into this world so that you could be my assistant. If you were to run around the world like a madman, I might as well just kick you back to the other world and save myself the trouble."

Visibly, Shiki's aura waned, but after a few seconds, she suddenly slapped her forehead, looking as if she had just realized something, and regained her radiant demeanor.

"How could I forget? The most interesting person in this world right now is Yuan Jun. That means the most interesting things will definitely happen around Yuan Jun. As long as I stay by Yuan Jun's side, I'm sure I'll discover something interesting! I really am a genius!"

Yuan Yuan's eye twitched. He didn't bother to investigate how Siji had come to such an unreliable conclusion. Instead, he took out a hairy jade from his body.

Yuan Yuan was initially reluctant to enter the Inuyasha world in his true form because there was another world within his body, and rashly entering another world would cause intense conflict. However, Yuan Yuan has now resolved this issue and successfully descended into this world in his true form. In other words, he brought his research institute with him, which will undoubtedly make his research much easier.

Looking at the jade creatures before him, Yuan Yuan's eyes gradually filled with fanaticism. Grabbing a jade creature in one hand and taking out a bottle of blood-red potion in the other, Yuan Yuan gently poured the blood-red potion onto the jade creatures.

Mao Yu's body structure was extremely simple; apart from its external facial features, it consisted only of a core mass of flesh, lacking any organs such as eyes, ears, or nose. However, when the blood-red potion touched Mao Yu's body, this large ball of flesh trembled violently. In less than a minute, all the fur on Mao Yu's body fell off, and the core mass of flesh swelled hundreds of times, transforming into an enormous, irregular ball of flesh.

Suddenly, dozens of cracks of varying sizes appeared on the surface of the fleshy ball. These mouth-like fissures opened wide, emitting a piercing shriek. Even the most insensitive person could hear the pain in the sound.

Of course, its suffering did not last long. Soon, the large fleshy ball turned into a pool of pink liquid, which was held in mid-air by Yuan Yuan's spiritual power and floated quietly.

No matter how pitiful Mao Yu's cries were, Siji, being a world consciousness that was born without the ability to feel compassion, naturally did not feel sorry for Mao Yu. She simply watched Yuan Yuan's actions with great interest.

While Yuan Yuan may not be less emotional than the world consciousness, he is incapable of pitying his experimental subjects; he simply observes their changes in silence.

Once Mao Yu had completely turned into liquid, Yuan Yuan made another move. He gently waved his hand, and immediately dozens of different plants and dozens of different monsters, which were called "Gastrea" by the humans of this world, flew into the sky.

Under Yuan Yuan's control, the pink liquid was evenly divided into nearly a hundred portions, each of which accurately flew towards the life forms that had been lifted into the sky. Upon contact with the pink liquid, both plants and animals completely absorbed it within seconds.

After absorbing the pink liquid, the plants did not show any obvious changes, but the gastrulators that were originally struggling violently quickly entered a state of dormancy.

A slightly late closing remark

The Inuyasha world has temporarily ended, and we've entered the Black Bullet world. After the Black Bullet ends, we'll return to the Inuyasha world, and then the Inuyasha storyline will begin again.

To be honest, writing this volume wasn't very smooth. On the one hand, various problems arose halfway through the writing process. On the other hand, the results were really unsatisfactory. Not only were subscriptions low, but donations and monthly tickets had become rare items, appearing only a few times a month.

Many friends advised me to abandon the project or finish it quickly, but perhaps I'm not smart enough or wise enough. I always felt that this book was very important to me, and I didn't want it to end so hastily or even as a humiliating project. So I chose a path that my friends couldn't understand—to continue writing the book.

In short, I won't waste any more time on nonsense; it's the same old story.

If you find the writing acceptable, please subscribe.

If you think it's well-written, please give it a reward or a monthly pass.

If you feel there's anything poorly written, and you're still willing to continue reading, feel free to give me suggestions in the book review section.

If you don't like it or don't want to continue following it, just part ways amicably and leave quietly.

That's all we wanted to say.

The initial changes in Chapter Two

Watching the pink liquid flow into the bodies of various creatures, Siji originally thought that these creatures would undergo drastic changes like the experimental subjects she had seen in Yuan Yuan's laboratory, such as growing organs that did not originally exist, certain parts becoming deformed and swollen or atrophied, or even being able to breathe fire.

But reality was completely different from what Shiki had imagined; all the creatures remained unchanged, without any alteration. Shiki blinked, then asked hesitantly,

"Mr. Yuan, is this... a failure?"

Yuan Yuan glanced at Siji in surprise, not understanding why she would ask such a stupid question. However, the success of the experiment had improved his mood considerably, so he unusually refrained from verbal abuse and instead asked in a "slightly" gentler tone,

"Failure? How could you possibly fail? Is there something wrong with your eyes? Do you need me to lend you my glasses?"

Siji blinked again, glanced at the glasses on Yuan Yuan's nose that always emitted a cold light, then looked at the creatures floating in the air. Confirming she wasn't mistaken, she spoke this time.

"But nothing has changed. What is this if not failure?"

Yuan Yuan then understood why Siji thought his experiment had failed. Rubbing his temples, Yuan Yuan explained somewhat helplessly,

“Not all experiments will produce significant changes. Like this time, my goal was simply to integrate the components of Mao Yu into the bodies of these native life forms. As long as these native life forms do not die after integration, it means success. And the less the native life forms change after integration, the less burden the integration process places on their bodies, and the more successful the experiment is.”

Finally, Yuan Yuan added, "As my assistant, you must master these basic common sense points as soon as possible. Otherwise, when my experiments officially begin, you won't be able to help, and I'll kick you back."

"I knew it! How could Yuan Jun be so kind and patient in explaining things to me? So that's why."

After hearing Yuan Yuan's clearly threatening words, Siji suddenly realized what was going on. Instead of being annoyed, she clapped her hands excitedly.

"Don't worry, Mr. Yuan, I will master the necessary knowledge as quickly as possible and then participate in your experiment. Just thinking about Mr. Yuan's experiment is so interesting."

Despite the enthusiasm of the four seasons, Yuan Yuan showed no reaction. He pushed up his glasses, then summoned hundreds of hairy jade creatures from his body. He then used the same trick as before, sprinkling the medicine that stimulated their rapid growth on them, creating a large puddle of pink liquid floating in the air.

Because the core of a normal jade is smaller than a baby's fist, even though these hundreds of jade pieces increased in size hundreds of times before turning into liquid, Yuan Yuan didn't actually get much liquid.

"Although it's not a lot, it's enough considering the current state of the world."

As he spoke, Yuan Yuan took a deep breath. Although Yuan Yuan was still in human form at this moment, in his true form, he could exert the abilities of his original form if he wished. Therefore, as Yuan Yuan inhaled, a large vacuum instantly formed in the high sky. After pausing for less than a second, a large amount of air rushed into the vacuum area, creating a large hurricane.

Although the hurricane was raging, none of the creatures high in the sky or the pool of liquid were affected. After the hurricane gradually subsided, Yuan Yuan came to the liquid and slowly exhaled the air he had inhaled.

Although it was described as "slowly," that was relative to the giant python of the mortal world. In fact, Yuan Yuan's exhalation created another gust of wind.

A violent hurricane swept across the surface of the liquid, carrying away the layers of liquid not protected by Yuan Yuan's spiritual power. As they flew further and further, the liquid particles became smaller and smaller, eventually becoming invisible to the naked eye, tiny particles that could enter living beings through respiration. In this way, Yuan Yuan reduced the layers of protection for the liquid layer by layer, and the liquid flew away layer by layer.

Finally, when the liquid in front of Yuan Yuan completely disappeared, the extremely fine particles composed of Mao Yu's flesh had spread throughout the entire Earth.

"The initial setup is complete. What follows are some complex follow-up steps. Let's go, Four Seasons. First, let's find a human settlement, and then we can proceed with the subsequent steps slowly."

With that, Yuan Yuan waved his hand gently, sending the first batch of experimental subjects, which were still floating in the air, back to the ground. Then, he teleported with Four Seasons to a human settlement called Tokyo.

Before leaving, Yuan Yuan's lips curled into a cold smile, his eyes seemingly glancing unintentionally at the forest beneath his feet.

The moment Yuan Yuan's figure disappeared into the sky, the first batch of sleeping test subjects also woke up.

The Gastrea, with dragonfly wings on its back, a head resembling a raptor but filled with sharp teeth, and eight spider legs on its abdomen, was the first to stand up. Its six large, blood-red eyes, which were originally filled with savagery, bloodlust, and madness, now gleamed with the light of reason. Although the eyes were still red, they were now as clear and bright as the finest gemstones.

Following the Gastrea, the other test subjects, who had been dormant, also began to stir. Some remained unchanged, surveying their surroundings in a dazed and confused state before following their instincts and rushing into the depths of the jungle.

Some of them became much larger, with more organs for attack and defense. However, their eyes were more ferocious than those of ordinary Gastrea. After awakening, they roared and charged toward the nearest living creature, launching a frenzied attack.

Only a small number, like the first experimental subject to stand up, had a glint of intelligent thought in their eyes.

The changes in the plants were even more obvious. Apart from those that did not change regardless of the weather, most of them had increased in size considerably, and many had grown organs on their bodies that could kill enemies. Some had even become mobile.

The first Gastrea to stand up glanced coldly at the Gastrea that stood up a step later, which appeared extremely violent and was frantically supplying life to the Gastrea around it. After a strange light appeared on its body, its figure slowly disappeared from the spot.

If anyone saw this, they would definitely exclaim in surprise, "Isn't this optical camouflage?"

The Gastrea, now concealed, stood silently, watching the ferocious figure attack everything in its path as it charged into the distance. Only after confirming that the creature was far away and would not return did it remove the optical camouflage covering its entire body.

Turning to gaze at an ancient tree beside it, another test subject of Yuan Yuan's experiments, the Gastrea, clearly possessing intelligence, opened its mouth and emitted a piercing, insect-like chirping sound. Seemingly sensing something amiss, the Gastrea stopped, its throat constricting before speaking again in a slightly somber, male voice.

"I think we should talk, shouldn't we?"

Chapter Three: The Original Plot as I Expected

After the Gastrea spoke, the seemingly ordinary ancient tree's bark rippled and quickly formed two crescent-shaped structures resembling human vocal cords. The two wooden crescents rubbed against each other, and surprisingly, they also spoke human language.

"I'm puzzled. I haven't shown anything unusual. How did you discover that I also possess intelligence?"

Unlike intelligent Gastrea, the ancient tree also made sounds similar to human speech, but the sounds were extremely harsh and dry.

Of course, the only two intelligent beings present wouldn't care about such a trivial matter.

As if anticipating the ancient tree's question, the intelligent Gastrea answered it almost without hesitation.

"I naturally have my own special identification method, but this method involves my personal talent and ability, so I'm sorry I can't tell you."

The ancient tree didn't dwell on that question. After the Gastrea refused to answer, it paused for a moment and then posed a second question.

"So, what do you want to talk to me about, Gastrea?"

"Don't call me Gastrea. From the moment I gained intelligence, I broke away from that inferior race. Now I am an independent individual. You can call me White Night."

With a frenzied swing of its razor-sharp forepaws, the Gastrea, calling itself White Night, stared intently at the ancient tree before it with its six large, blood-red eyes, and spoke in an even more sinister voice.

"You are the same. From the moment you gained wisdom, you were no longer an ancient tree or a plant. You are a completely new and independent individual. I advise you to give yourself a name, otherwise I won't know what to call you."

The ancient tree fell silent once more, before finally emitting a dry, unpleasant sound after a long while.

“What you say makes some sense. Well then, I’ll call myself Guluo. I like this name. Now, please answer my question: what would you like to talk to me about?”

Upon hearing the ancient tree name itself Gu Luo, a glint of "I knew it" flashed in Bai Ye's eyes. After his eyes flickered red several times, he said...

"We both have the bloodline bestowed by that lord, so in a sense we are family. That's why I wanted to greet you and connect with you."

Bai Ye's reasoning seemed reasonable, but Gu Luo raised a questioning voice.

"Relatives? What are those?"

Bai Ye suddenly froze, his body stiffening, then he seemed to regretfully mutter to himself,

"Damn it, I forgot that Guro hasn't even had contact with humans yet. Guro who hasn't had contact with humans isn't the same Guro who loves his family and is known as the Eternal Sage. Damn it, was I too hasty? No, there's still a chance to salvage this."

As he finished speaking, Bai Ye's eyes lit up again, and he explained without revealing any unusual thoughts.

"Family is a concept I learned from the minds of humans when I devoured them; it's used to describe individuals who share the same bloodline. Family members will never betray each other,"

Suddenly realizing that Gu Luo might not understand the meaning of betrayal, Bai Ye quickly changed his words and continued,

"We will never hurt each other, and we will support each other when attacked. In short, family members are individuals who share the same blood and can accompany each other forever."

The branches of the ancient tree swayed, and Gu Luo's voice became somewhat excited.

"Is this what family is? Are we family? Can you stay with me forever?"

Bai Ye nodded heavily, a serious expression appearing on his bird-like face in a surprisingly human way.

"But,"

Guro asked hesitantly,

“That Gastrea was of the same bloodline as us. Why didn’t you stop it? If it had been charging around like that, it would have died very quickly.”

Bai Ye turned to look at the path that the ferocious Gastrea had carved out of the forest, and said with considerable disdain,

"Although that Gastrea shares the same bloodline as us, it has no reason or intelligence whatsoever, and can't be considered our family at all. Only those that have awakened intelligence are qualified to be our family."

Guro let out a short, dry "Oh," indicating that he understood.
