Infinite Anime Strategy Guide

Kikunojo Tendo nodded, wanting to say something more, but was interrupted by Lin Yu's simple two words.

"can."

Lin Yu's answer stunned him. He had been prepared to bargain with Lin Yu, but he didn't know what Lin Yu wanted, so even he was unsure.

To everyone's surprise, Lin Yu agreed so easily before he even mentioned the price.

"As for the cost, we haven't decided yet. We'll talk about it when we do. Of course, you can back out then."

Just as Lin Yu said, he really couldn't think of what Kikunojo Tendo could give him. After all, he didn't care about power, and money? He could easily get it with a little thought, so why bother asking others for it?

"Don't even think about it." Lin Yu glanced at Kikunojo Tendo. "The only reason we're helping you is because we want to. Otherwise, you can't expect us to help you no matter what price you pay. Just consider it a recent hobby of doing good deeds!"

This guy would never admit that he agreed because he wanted to see what Kinoshita looked like in her loli form. Yeah, definitely not!

Kikunojo Tendo stared at Lin Yu for a long time, and Lin Yu glared back without backing down. If it weren't for the large age gap between the two, they might even be mistaken for gay.

"I understand."

Kikunojo Tendo nodded and said, "I'll go too!"

"Don't you trust us?"

Lin Yu narrowed his eyes slightly.

"No, I must go and check on my loved ones myself!"

Kikunojo Tendo's voice was firm, and Lin Yu then remembered that this guy seemed to have a very good relationship with his wife, otherwise he wouldn't hate the cursed child with Gastrea genes so much ten years later.

"Alright, alright, I'll take you with me."

Everything in the original story will happen ten years later. At present, Kikunojo Tendo is just an old man who cares about his family. If possible, Lin Yu would not rule out saving his wife's life. That way, maybe the cursed child will have a better time in the Tokyo area ten years later.

I've seen those little girls, who were at most ten years old, living in rags and hardship in anime. If I had the chance, I would rather not let that scene happen.

Therefore, Lin Yu agreed to Tendou Kikunojo's request.

"Wait, Lord Tendo, what do you mean?"

The captain who issued the order could no longer contain himself after overhearing the conversation between Lin Yu and Kikunojo Tendo.

"Don't you plan to bring your troops with you?"

Kikunojo Tendo's expression remained unchanged. He glanced at the captain and said, "There are a large number of Gastrea near the Tendo main clan. The advance of the troops will be slow. How many people do you think will be left in the Tendo clan by the time the troops arrive?"

A rhetorical question left the captain speechless. He opened his mouth reluctantly but found that he had no reason to keep the old man.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine with us here."

Lin Yu patted his shoulder, then walked up to the Holy Emperor, bent down, and ruffled her hair: "It's not good to always call you little sister. The name Holy Emperor is hereditary, and I don't really like it. From now on, I'll call you Little Saint. Be a good girl and wait for your brother and sister to come back!"

Although Lin Yu really wanted Shana to stay and accompany the Holy Emperor, he wasn't confident that he could safely leave with a little girl and an old woman who might still be alive if there were too many Gastrea. Therefore, he could only ask the little Holy Emperor to make do for now.

"come on!"

Shana gave the Holy Emperor an encouraging gesture, then got out of the car with Lin Yu and Kikunojo Tendo. From here, they would have to walk to the Tendo main residence...

089. Let's fight for Shana's reward!

[Thank you 'Half an Acre of Sky' for the generous donation!]

"Let's go, hopefully you won't hold us back."

Lin Yu glanced at Kikunojo Tendo, who was holding a katana. The original work never mentioned that this old man had any combat ability. Even Lin Yu only learned about this when the guard team was besieged by Gastrea.

But that was all; Lin Yu didn't know what level his true strength could reach.

"Don't worry about me. Although I'm not as good as you and this young girl, I'm still more than capable of dealing with ordinary Gastrea."

Kikunojo Tendo is definitely a man of great courage. Before the Gastrea Wars broke out, he was already known as a National Treasure of Humanity. Now it seems that he is not only exceptionally intelligent, but also a force to be reckoned with.

"I hope so."

Lin Yu withdrew his gaze. To prevent accidental casualties, the armored forces had slowed their attacks in this area, resulting in a large number of Gastrea surrounding them.

"It seems we're only at Phase I. Shana, we've been apart for so long, how about we have a competition?"

Lin Yu looked at Xia Na provocatively, and the corners of her mouth curled up slightly with a hint of pleasure. She was never afraid of challenges!

"Then let Xiaoyu see how much I've grown during this time!"

Shana's expression turned serious. This seemingly young girl was always so serious when fighting, but this time there seemed to be something more in her eyes than before.

That was a desire to reveal everything about oneself!

For Lin Yu, they had only been apart for a day, but for Xia Na, several months had passed. At this moment, she was eager to let Lin Yu see her growth!

"Our target is the Tiantong family; let's settle this with numbers!"

Lin Yu seemingly casually announced that this match was bound to be lost. He was not fighting against Xia Na for the sake of victory or defeat, but only for the result of the two of them fighting together, nothing more!

"Now!"

As they spoke, the Gastrea pounced on him and Shana, both gripping their weapons tightly. The next second—

"start!"

Puff!

As soon as she finished speaking, Shana and Lin Yu attacked simultaneously. The slender and agile Shana cleaved the attacking Gastrea in two. Shana glanced at Lin Yu out of the corner of her eye. Although he was slightly slower than Shana, the vampire's huge and heavy sword swept out, annihilating the four Stage I Gastrea in front of her at the same time.

"Even though it's only been a day, I haven't been standing still!"

Lin Yu smiled confidently at Shana. In terms of the results of the first attack, Shana had only killed one Gastrea, while Lin Yu had killed four.

"If you can beat me, Xiaoyu, I'll give you a reward!"

Although she was still temporarily behind, Shana already had a confident expression and even said something that surprised Lin Yu. If he hadn't reacted quickly, he might have been injured by a Stage I Gastrea.

Just as Lin Yu was about to ask what the reward was, he realized that Shana had already gone far away.

"Who cares, let's win first!"

Lin Yu originally only wanted to fight alongside Shana when he made the match, but he never expected Shana to give him such a big surprise—it was Shana's reward!

"We cannot afford to lose this match!"

Lin Yu's desire for victory was burning fiercely, and nothing could stop him from achieving it. At this moment, all the Gastrea became his targets!

"Here we go! Take care of yourself, sir!"

To obtain Shana's reward, Lin Yu was willing to go all out, regardless of the safety of Kikunojo Tendo...

If he were still concerned about the safety of this villainous leader from the original story at a time like this, he could probably become rich.

Hmm? You're asking why?

Given the gentlemanly personalities of those people in the group, it would be strange if they didn't send razor blades! And they sent them by the dozen!

"Such skillful swordsmanship! At such a young age, your skill with the sword has already surpassed mine?"

Kikunojo Tendo had completely ignored their conversation. Given his personality, he couldn't possibly say something like, "That's youth." He was only focused on Shana's swordsmanship!

Although Shana appears young, as a Flame Haze, she has been on a long journey to defeat the Crimson Denizens. Before meeting Lin Yu, although she was a bit impulsive, her fighting prowess was undeniable.

In the original work, Shana appeared somewhat weak in the early stages because her mind was disturbed as a Flame Haze, and she was subjected to too many distractions, which prevented her from fully unleashing her combat power. Keep in mind that she defeated Mystice 'Tenmoku', who was like a natural disaster and could even kill a weaker Crimson Lord with a single strike, right after becoming a Flame Haze!

Kikunojo Tendo's surprise was not surprising at all. Shana, who was already powerful, was beyond the reach of ordinary Flame Haze warriors even without the power of Guren, let alone in this world where there was nothing mysterious about her.

"This young man is no ordinary person either. That sword is ridiculously heavy, isn't it?"

Kikunojo Tendo's eye is incredibly sharp. The sheer force of the wind generated by Lin Yu swinging the vampire sword already demonstrates its terrifying weight. Its large size alone cannot explain why the sword seems to carry a layer of wind pressure with every swing. The only explanation is its astonishing weight!

To be precise, each of Lin Yu's swings did not kill the Gastrea, but rather tore it apart completely like a blunt weapon!

Every Gastrea that died by his sword was basically torn to pieces and scattered all over the ground, so badly that they couldn't be put back together!

"45 heads!"

Lin Yu slew the two Gastrea in front of him with a single sword strike and nodded in satisfaction. He then looked behind Shana. Although the two were competing, they had not forgotten their mission. Neither of them would slow down in an attempt to kill more Gastrea. All their killing was based on continuous progress.

Now, Shana was surrounded by Gastrea that she had slain. Compared to dying under Lin Yu's sword, dying under Shana's blade was far better. These Gastrea, whose regeneration level was not high, were not without fatal weaknesses. At least, they would die without their heads. Shana's Zangetsu precisely beheaded every Gastrea that stood in her way, without any unnecessary attacks. It was agile and efficient!

Lin Yu glanced at the number and realized it was no less than 50, possibly even 60. His earlier joy instantly vanished; there was still a gap between him and Shana.

"It seems I won't get the reward unless I work my hardest."

Lin Yu would not be discouraged. Xia Na's achievements only fueled his fighting spirit. He adjusted the strength of his sword strikes again and again, sparing no effort to improve the efficiency of the battle. The outcome was still uncertain!

090. The Crisis of Loli Kisara!

"The 134th one!"

The greatsword, accompanied by a powerful gust of wind, slashed down both Gastrea simultaneously, without affecting Lin Yu's movements in the slightest.

"You were able to bear the weight of the vampire at first, but are you starting to struggle now?"

Lin Yu frowned and swung his sword again.

Puff!

The sharp blade sliced the charging Gastrea in two, but Lin Yu's brows furrowed even deeper.

"No! I used too much force. Not only did I waste excess power, but I also couldn't control my strength precisely. That sword strike didn't even hit any vital points!"

For Lin Yu, killing a Stage I Gastrea would be an easy and enjoyable task, but that's only Stage I. What if it's an enemy he can't crush with brute force?

He had actually encountered such an enemy before, namely the only enemy he met in the world of Re:Zero, 'Gut Hunter' Elsa!

In terms of pure attack power, Lin Yu was far superior to her, but in actual combat, Elsa could almost crush Lin Yu. This was not simply because Lin Yu used a greatsword, which had powerful attack power but was relatively slow.

This is similar to the difference between an ordinary strong man who has never experienced combat and an elite special forces soldier who has fought life-and-death battles on the battlefield. Even if the strong man is much stronger than the special forces soldier, the special forces soldier who is proficient in combat skills will definitely be the final winner. No matter how strong you are, you have to be able to hit the opponent to have any effect. Otherwise, it's all for nothing!

"My strength is indeed formidable, but my combat experience is still too lacking. So, even if it's only Stage I, let it be my experience points!"

Sword after sword, Gastrea surged towards Lin Yu like a tide, but he simply kept swinging his sword.

"He actually honed his swordsmanship amidst an attack by Gastrea!"
