Settsetse! The Pirate Nemesis
Page 29
A punch was thrown, producing a whooshing sound. But before Moria's fist could even touch Sett's head, a fierce gust of wind roared in from Moria's side.
bump!!!
The blow to his long, thin head sent Moria's body flying like a rag doll. He skidded more than three meters across the concrete toilet floor. The pungent smell of the toilet filled his nostrils, and the excruciating pain shooting through his head left Moria's mind reeling.
In response, Sett, having forgotten to bring toilet paper in his haste, stood up, pulling up his pants with one hand. He snorted and spat on the nearby floor tiles, his face full of impatience; "I thought someone was here to steal my poop, which startled me! Turns out, just another clueless piece of trash!"
"asshole!!!!"
Moria scrambled to his feet, his eyes filled with shock and rage—losing to Kaido in the New World was one thing; after all, Kaido was a renowned pirate. But here? This was just the West Blue! The West Blue, a place so isolated that even the common people didn't know about Devil Fruits! And here he was, repeatedly suffering defeats?!
This is absolutely not my fault!!
"I've had enough! You can all die!!!"
With a roar, Moria's shadow surged. The already dimly lit toilet became increasingly filled with shifting shadows. Then, this eerie scene spread throughout the entire block. Everyone noticed their own shadows beginning to exhibit strange, almost sentient movements.
Gecko Moria. Paramecia-type Shadow-Shadow Fruit user. Instead of immediately engaging Sett in direct combat, he transformed into a blur, swiftly flashing across the entire block with a slashing sound. With each swing of his longsword, shadow after shadow was forced to sever completely from its master!
But just as Moria's figure swept past the tavern, the longsword in his hand was instantly cleaved in two.
Holding a wine glass in his hand, he drank alone, so elegantly that he didn't seem like someone who would secretly get up early to take a dump.
Without turning his head, Mihawk said, "Take your knife and stay away from me."
His voice carried a hint of disgust—as a pure swordsman, Mihawk's obsession with the sword far surpassed that of ordinary people. Just as Sett was fond of close-quarters combat, Mihawk was equally devoted to the pure swordsmanship.
Moria's behavior of merely using swords as tools to unleash his Devil Fruit powers—meaning Moria is currently Sett's prey—otherwise, Mihawk would have personally made him replace the blade with something else.
Upon hearing this, Moria instinctively flew into a rage. However, after seeing Mihawk's sharp hawk-like eyes, he still snorted coldly—that redhead was no pushover either; he'd deal with him first, then take down this hawk-eyed guy!
With this thought in mind, Moria turned around. Aiming at Sett from afar, he waved his hand. Instantly, the shadow in his hand split into countless bats that surged towards Sett!
Without shadows, the people's bodies began to burn under the sun. Instinctively, they ran to the shade, thus avoiding being turned to ashes—this was one of the main reasons Moria didn't kill these civilians.
The more living people are in a place, the stronger Moria's power becomes!
In response, one could see the large swarm of shadowy bats flying in, their dark fangs clearly visible in the distance.
"You fucking..." Sett clenched his fist, his gaze sharpening in an instant: "What kind of trash is this now?!"
A force that penetrates the body!
boom!!
A cone-shaped area erupted with a hurricane-like force. The deafening shockwave pulverized the swarm of black bat shadows upon contact!
82·Bounty
A true expert's skill is immediately apparent.
Having already been on high alert when facing Sett after receiving his earlier attack, Moria was now even more wary upon witnessing the hurricane-like force of this casual punch. His resolve instantly turned serious.
The bathroom was too dark, so I couldn't see it clearly before. But now that it's outside and the light is better, Sett's ears are finally in sight—could he be a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user?!
It can only be said that the Mink Tribe in this world rarely appears in front of others, and Sett has very few Mink Tribe characteristics, so the first reaction of anyone who has seen Sett is that he has a Zoan-type Devil Fruit.
"You've got some skills! But I won't let you get away with this!" Moria stared intently at Sett. Under normal circumstances, Moria might have considered recruiting Sett to work for him. But unfortunately, Sett's previous actions had angered Moria far too much.
Pirates are inherently unruly, and in his anger, Moria waved his hand, instantly creating a curtain of shadows that covered Sett entirely.
Film box!
Like the Shadow Bats, they attack through materialized shadows. Confined within the shadow box in complete darkness, the pitch-black bats are invisible, their outlines completely obscured. They appear to dart back and forth like shuttles, each strike tearing away a piece of flesh!
The shadow's perception was connected to Moria's; within Moria's senses, it could clearly feel Sett's body being torn apart, leaving streaks of blood—
This brought a cruel smile to Moria's face—that's it! Let them be devoured by bats in the shadow box!!
Unfortunately, before Moria could even rejoice, the bat he sensed was suddenly grasped in his hand. Moria, expecting it to be instantly destroyed, was even prepared to sever the connection. However, he discovered that Sett I didn't immediately launch an attack.
Then came a warm sensation.
"?"
Moria was momentarily stunned, followed by a stench. Instead of attacking immediately, Sett used the airtight box to grab a few bats and clean the filth he hadn't had time to wipe from his rear. The bats felt surprisingly good, like quite resilient toilet paper.
Immediately afterward, Sett kicked open the wall where the shadows were, and strode out with a furious expression; "You think you're so great?! You portable toilet!"
Impenetrable, completely isolated from outside observation. It can even produce its own toilet paper. So, for Sett, who desperately needs to relieve himself, isn't the so-called "shadow box" or Moria, who possesses this ability, practically a portable toilet?
While this was merely Sett's honest opinion about using the product, it was an absolute insult to Moria!
"You have utterly enraged me!!! Shadow Mage!!"
As Sett spoke, the shadow beneath Moria's feet twitched. Then, some of them rose from the ground, appearing as dark figures staring intently at Sett.
Possessing the same power as Moria, and due to its shadow nature, it is immune to all physical attacks. During battle, it can attack simultaneously with Moria's main body.
Sure enough, Sett threw a punch, the force of which shattered the Shadow Dancer. But in the next instant, those shadow fragments transformed into swarms of bats, circling in the air before flapping their wings and lunging at Sett.
Sett didn't even glance at the ferocious bats, letting them ravage his body. His amber eyes were fixed on Moria's true form, his displeasure and agitation almost tangible. Blood flowed freely, but his actions grew increasingly brutal. The controlled shadows around him were blasted to pieces the moment they approached.
Unconsciously, a sense of fear rose within Moria, and he took a step back without even realizing it.
Just as Moria realized what was happening, before he could even feel ashamed of his actions, Sett's body flashed across the forty-meter gap in front of Moria with a deafening roar.
Subduing the enemy's power, holding them invincible!
A vicious punch slammed into Moria's already impressive beer belly—Ever since his defeat by Kaido, Moria had been somewhat dejected.
The immense force surged through Moria's thick layer of fat, causing his obese body to visibly sag, and the impact of the iron fist was clearly visible on his back.
Like a cannonball, Moria flew through the air and crashed into a row of shops with a clanging sound. He scrambled to his feet amidst the commotion, his stomach churning, and Moria uncontrollably vomited bile.
"You dog!" Sett spat, his face full of impatience as he looked at Moria. "You can't even keep up with the good stuff, and you dare to interrupt your hobby of taking a dump!"
After taking a sip of his drink, glancing at the newspaper in front of him, and then at Moria lying to the side vomiting bile, Hawkeye said nonchalantly, "This guy's worth a lot of money."
As he spoke, he threw the newspaper and the accompanying wanted poster at Sett like a dart.
"One hundred and seventy million."
"One hundred and seventy million is all?" Sett's face was full of disdain.

83. The Reality of the Loser
Sett took the newspaper that Mihawk had thrown at him, his face filled with suspicion and disdain.
It wasn't that Sett suspected Mihawk; it was simply that when he was studying with Zeff in the elite naval training program, Sett had learned about bounties from other people.
Generally speaking, a bounty exceeding 20 million in the Four Seas is considered sufficient to establish a powerful pirate force. However, due to various reasons, the West Sea is more chaotic than the other three seas, resulting in an average bounty of over 50 million for great pirates there.
In other seas, especially in the East China Sea where the people are most honest and simple, a pirate with 20 to 30 million coins can be considered a great pirate, and no one would doubt that he can call himself the "Overlord of the East China Sea".
In the Western Sea, claiming to be the overlord with a bounty of only 20 or 30 million would be laughable—it's only the bounty of a mid-to-high-level cadre.
He picked up the newspaper and glanced at it. The story of Kaido defeating Moria was seven years ago, so there was no record of it. However, because he had returned to the West Blue during that time, the West Blue newspaper specifically highlighted Moria's danger and bounty.
A bounty of 170 million is enough to make one stand out from the crowd, not only in the West Blue, but even in the first half of the Grand Line.
"This kind of trash deserves a bounty of 170 million? The Navy's purity is way too low!"
Sett stared blankly at the news in the newspaper, muttering things like "trash" and "rubbish" repeatedly, which filled the eyes of those around him with horror.
The initial group of old farmers were particularly shocked and speechless when they learned that Moria's bounty was so high. However, seeing Moria lying on the ground, they were puzzled—why was someone with a bounty of 170 million so easily defeated?
People were whispering amongst themselves, and listening to these voices, Moria's heart, which had long been numb from failure, suddenly stirred—was he destined to continue down this path of despair? He knew all too well that even people from a worthless place like the West Sea looked down on him!
Gritting his teeth, Moria got up from the ground. When he raised his head again, his gaze towards Sett was filled with hatred.
Sett showed no fear whatsoever. Instead, after sensing the anger, he chuckled and casually tossed the wanted poster aside: "Not bad eye! Keep it up, and I'm starting to believe your bounty."
“He should have some connection with Kaido.” As a bounty hunter, Mihawk knew more than Sett, and he also knew Sett’s lazy nature, so he simply added, “Kaido is a very famous pirate in the New World. I heard he’s very powerful and is a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user.”
"It seems this guy was defeated by Kaido but survived, so his bounty has increased."
Upon hearing this, Sett's initial amusement vanished by half; "The bounty went up because he lost? Have those old men in the Navy, Zeff and his gang, lost their minds?"
Completely disregarding the impact of his rude remarks on those around him, Sett brazenly declared, "A defeated foe gets a bounty increase? To be honest, it's a miracle that the enemy even escaped and that guy named Kaido's bounty wasn't lowered!"
"And they even raised the bounty!" Sett said disdainfully. "This is the first time I've ever seen a navy that gives pirates so much face. Surrendering at lightning speed, are they from France? Good thing I didn't join, or I wouldn't dare go out to the bathroom!"
Hearing Sett's words, Hawkeye paused for a moment, then nodded thoughtfully; "Indeed... it is a bit strange that pirates' bounties are increased because of something like this."
How come I hadn't noticed this before? Hawkeye wondered—perhaps it was an additional effect of the arrival of the Great Pirate Era? People instinctively regarded pirates as symbols of freedom, as if they were naturally superior to the Navy…
When Sett suddenly brought this up, even Hawkeye, an outsider, felt that the Navy was a bit embarrassed.
As they spoke, they paid no attention to Morgans, the new furry reporter who was watching from a corner, scribbling furiously... Morgans' journalistic instincts told him that this was a huge, explosive news story!
"You bastard! Who do you think you are?!" His voice was filled with shame and indignation. Losing to Kaido was clearly a disgrace—or so Moria had thought at first. But with each and every time people learned of his ability to escape from Kaido's clutches and marveled at him, he somehow began to see it as a source of pride.
He's someone who survived under Kaido, the Grand Commander of the Beasts Pirates! How proud we are!!
But now, Sett's blunt words have shattered all his illusions, glory, and dreams.
The stark reality is laid bare before me—the reality of the loser!
Slowly, the hatred in his eyes faded. Moria stared intently at Sett, his eyes filled with seriousness.
"I will defeat you!!!"

84. Breathtaking
"Roar~ Roar~"
Sensing Moria's unwavering fighting spirit, Sett stroked his chin with considerable interest.
"Not bad, you've gone from trash to complete noob!"
Perhaps it was the humiliation that rekindled Moria's previously dejected spirit. The determination in his eyes even made Hawkeye, who was watching the show from the sidelines, raise an eyebrow—but that was all.
There are also differences among the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
