The purple-haired girl wanted to say something more, but Dora interrupted her.

"There are some things that are beyond our control, so we shouldn't meddle. Just maintain a good relationship."

Dora put her finger to her lips, her eyes half-open, her serious expression carrying a silent warning.

The purple-haired girl was silent for a moment, then lowered her head and spoke softly.

"Yes, sir!"

"If you're not busy, get to work. This huge thing will keep us busy for a while."

Dora got up and looked at the Blood Demon outside the window; the weariness on her face deepened.

The purple-haired girl nodded slightly, then turned and left the room.

Dora, who remained in the room, tossed her notebook onto the table and let out a long sigh.

"That's what they say, but... Bloodclaw has been making more and more noise lately, and the pressure is immense."

"I really want to change jobs!!!"

While Sister Dora was still fretting about her work, Shelley and Noah had already returned to Snow Eagle City.

Unaware that they had almost become targets of surveillance by the Snow Eagle City guards, the two were still preoccupied with their own affairs.

Shelley walked ahead, and Noah followed behind, keeping a certain distance between them as they headed towards their home.

It wasn't that Noah didn't want to walk with Shelley; every time she got close, Shelley would quicken her pace and widen the distance again.

No, what did I do to make Lord Shelley so angry? I don't understand!

Noah was completely confused. In the past, when he joked around, Lord Shelley would forgive him quickly. Why couldn't he do it this time?

"Lady Shelley, please don't be angry. I was wrong, I was really wrong."

Noah smiled wryly and stepped forward to admit her mistake.

"Oh, you're wrong? Where did you go wrong?"

Shelley stopped and looked at Noah, his pale blue eyes gleaming in the moonlight.

Noah was startled, and cold sweat immediately broke out on her back.

She was indeed admitting her mistake, but Noah didn't know what mistake she had made.

When in doubt, admitting your mistake is always the right thing to do.

However, Shelley's words immediately shut her up.

"That...that's the mistake, that's the one I often make..."

Noah pouted and said with a guilty look on his face.

"Which one is that? Explain yourself, you idiot!"

Shelley was speechless, her face utterly bewildered.

"I don't know what I did wrong, but please forgive me, Lady Shelley! I'll do anything!"

Noah rushed forward, squeezed out a few tears, and said with great emotion.

"Starting today, I'll do some things for Lord Shelley that I've never done before! Like warming your bed or something. Please treat me as your favorite body pillow, and then do whatever you want!"

"You perverted maid, you're clearly trying to take advantage of me... Okay, I'm not angry, and you don't need to apologize."

Shelley sighed softly, looked up at the bright moon, and said softly.

"I was just thinking about my own things..."

"Is Lord Shelley's matter...something very important?"

Noah paused for a moment, then asked softly.

"nothing……"

Shelley, lost in thought, looked at Noah, her face flushing red. Her pale blue eyes rippled like pebbles thrown into a calm lake.

"But speaking of which, Noah, aren't you worried that the Blood Demon will expose you? After all, you're the one who beat him up."

Shelley smoothed her hair and said softly.

"There's no need to worry about that, because I performed an A-level memory erasure on that guy!"

Noah said with a confident expression.

"A-level memory erasure, what is that?"

Shelley said curiously.

"It involves punching and kicking the target's head repeatedly, which will cause the target to lose thirty days of memory!"

Noah raised his head and said with a proud expression.

"This is one of the 9,999 life hacks that maids must remember."

"What you did was pure beating, what does it have to do with life? Do you often do this kind of thing?"

Shelley was even more speechless, and she complained loudly.

"If Lady Shelley wants to learn some tricks, Noah can teach you."

"Absolutely not!!!"

Shelley resolutely refused.

"But when it came to erasing memories, I was so angry at the time that I went to such extremes."

Noah touched her chin, trying hard to recall what had just happened.

"What is it? Something that made me very angry... I remember now!"

Noah looked as if she had just realized something, then she knelt down on the ground, supporting herself with her hands, and negative emotions surged out of her again.

"The duck that turned its mouth away has flown away...gone...gone...even though I tried so hard to say it..."

"Noah, you should be recovering from that state by now, right?"

Shelley looked at the dejected Noah and said with a hint of helplessness.

“Lord Shelley, some things, once missed, are missed forever, leaving only an empty shell.”

Noah shrank back slightly, and responded with an air of artistic flair.

"It's all because you're so useless... Sigh, I just can't do anything with you."

Shelley sighed, walked up to Noah, and spoke softly.

"Alright, stop lying on the ground. If there's anything, get up and we'll talk."

"Lady Shelley, please leave me alone for now. I need some peace and quiet. Don't ask me who Jingjing is."

Noah said dejectedly.

"Ah, isn't this Dora? What have you been doing, sneaking around following us like that?"

Shelley looked behind her and said in surprise.

"Oh, Sister?"

Noah immediately stood up and subconsciously looked behind her. As soon as she turned around, she smelled the scent of lavender.

Then a soft, warm touch landed on her face...

Chapter Fifty-Seven: I'm a Fool Too

"Ugh?"

Noah gasped softly, her entire body frozen in place.

The soft touch lasted only a moment before disappearing, and Noah abruptly turned to look at Shelley.

"Ah, I misread it."

Shelley looked into the distance and murmured something.

She appeared calm and composed, but the blush rising on her cheeks, the deep redness behind her ears, and the white steam rising from her head betrayed Shelley's true thoughts.

"Lord Shelley, you just now..."

Noah touched her cheek, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke softly.

"What's wrong? Noah, do you have any questions?"

Shelley's seemingly calm answer clearly conveyed the message, "Don't ask, don't ask, or you'll face the consequences."

"Lord Shelley, what would you like for dinner?"

Noah swallowed back the words she was about to say and spoke gently.

"Dinner time, Noah. Is there anything you can do for me?"

Shelley thought for a moment, then spoke softly.

"I would do anything for Lord Shelley."

Noah said softly.

"I want to eat the cheesecake from the West Street corner, Uncle Rum's East Arat noodles, and Aunt Sig's fried onion rings..."

Shelley looked very happy. She rattled off a long list of dishes, her pale blue eyes sparkling, and her steps became much lighter.

Noah didn't speak, but watched quietly. In the moonlight, Shelley truly shone brightly in his eyes.

"Noah, why are you staring at me like that?"

Shelley and Noah met eyes, and she said somewhat shyly.

"Because Lord Shelley looks very happy."

Noah answered.

"Has Lord Shelley done something to make you happy?"

"What happy thing... there's nothing..."
