After tearing the nameplate off the other person's collar, Bai Ai Na continued, "Don't worry, I am a very moral person. I cut off your hand just now purely out of desperation. It was definitely not because I have a bad character that I did it on purpose."

“Edward? That’s a really common name.” Bai Aina quipped enthusiastically, then added seriously after a moment’s thought. “Don’t worry, when I have time, I’ll find you a good and powerful mechanical prosthetic limb. After all, I’m not a bad person.”

Chapter Seven: Close Your Eyes When It Gets Dark

Although it took a lot of time, Baina managed to persuade Edward to open the door for her. The road to the intensive care unit was unobstructed, as if nothing had happened.

Suddenly, chaotic footsteps sounded at the gate ahead. Baina's keen senses broke down the footsteps and re-examined them. She concluded that there were about a dozen people, their steps disordered and chaotic, and judging from the sound, their weight ranged from one hundred to four hundred pounds.

The alloy door behind her slammed shut. Bai Aina casually tossed Edward's right hand to the ground, glanced at the surveillance camera behind her, controlled her facial muscles, forced a kind yet strange smile, and then walked forward.

Ahead on the road, there was still a door, but compared to the alloy door behind it, this plastic door looked more like a decoration.

The plastic door suddenly burst open and flew several meters away. Bai Aina, who was in the flight path, dodged to the side and bumped into a dozen or so people coming towards her.

A dozen or so men, some shirtless and others dressed in prison garb, emerged one after another. Leading them was a tall, muscular man wearing a black mask, the mask connected to him by numerous tubes. His physique was like a human tank, a bulging, muscular mass – this was the supervillain Bane. One of his most infamous feats was breaking Batman's back, and being defeated after having his straws broken, a tactic he never repeated.

For some reason, this guy had acquired his own equipment. Enhancement fluid was continuously injected into his body through three pipes, making his size grow larger and larger.

Behind the group of patients was a large alloy door, which had now come down because Bai Aina had closed the passage.

Now, in this narrow passage, only Baina and a group of men are standing there facing each other.

To the patients in Arkham, all they saw was a short, white-haired girl wearing the same hospital gown as them standing in front of them.

The patients certainly wouldn't underestimate someone who suddenly blocked their way. After all, their notoriety in Gotham City was well-known. However, they hadn't left the city for almost a year, which made them extremely irritable. And the presence of such a cute little girl as Bai Na standing in front of them only aroused the perverse desires of some of them.

"What do I see? A lovely girl!" The man codenamed "The Cannibal" laughed hysterically, but his trembling hands and excited expression betrayed his eagerness. "Don't you dare try to take her from me!"

"Don't waste time. If she's in your way, she has to die!" said a white man nicknamed Great White Shark, dressed in an orange prison uniform with features smaller than others.

Killer Croc, who seemed to be the neighboring Lizard Man, sensed something was wrong. He said breathlessly, "Alright, if we don't get out now, it'll be too late. Once Batman gets here, none of us will be able to leave."

"Kill him." The one who made the decision was naturally Bane. Wearing a mask, as one of Batman's notorious nemesis, his seniority and fighting prowess were unmatched by anyone present. The previously excited ogre immediately deflated, looking quite displeased.

There's no need to introduce the other smaller fish, as they're about to die.

"Want to eat me? My flesh isn't very tasty," Bai Aina blinked, smiling as she spread her hands. "But I don't think I've even given my name yet, so it doesn't matter..."

That's good... Baina swept her bangs up and used a piece of green grass she had cut from the roadside to hold her hair in place.

"My name is Bai Aina..." Two items appeared in her hand from the spatial card, and Bai Aina slowly finished speaking. "...Representing your end!"

The two cans, one green and one purple, were covered with distorted writing, which startled Bain.

Before Bane could issue a warning, Baina made the first move.

"As a gift for our first meeting, I'll give you two mixed packs, they'll definitely be powerful!" A sinister smile involuntarily appeared on Bai Aina's face. Her fingers trembled, but she excitedly turned the switch and threw the cans in her hands out one after the other, which landed right in the crowd and on their path.

"Charge! That's nitrous oxide and fear gas!" A bad feeling welled up in his heart. After shouting a warning to the patients next to him, Bain took the lead in retreating. Although he was huge, his speed was no less than that of a sprinter.

They immediately turned and ran away, the patients of Arkham Asylum running faster than rabbits seeing an eagle. Perhaps the fear of the gas would only make them look bad in public, but no one was unaware of the potency of the Joker's laughing gas.

Once someone inhales the nitrous oxide modified by the Joker himself, the only outcome is to laugh themselves to death. None of the Arkham patients present were willing to experience that feeling.

Therefore, they can turn and run without hesitation, leaving no dignity behind, even if the person standing in front of them is just a seemingly harmless little girl.

But how could Baina give them that chance? A freezing pulse gun appeared in her hand, and with a sweep of white pulse beams, an ice wall completely blocked their retreat. More white, frigid air spread, even turning the nearby ogre into an ice sculpture.

Before they could turn and give chase, Baina continued firing with a nonchalant air. The white light swept across the corridor, forming a 30-centimeter-thick wall of ice. This completely blocked the Arkham patients' path forward or backward, trapping them in nitrous oxide and poison gas.

The pulse gun she was holding, though of medium power, was powerful enough to easily freeze a human body and freeze an entire room.

Perhaps due to inhaling some nitrous oxide and toxic gas, Bai Aina felt her mind was somewhat hazy, and various white humanoid figures appeared before her eyes. But more than anything, she experienced a strange and indescribable sensation; an electric shock-like impact struck her brain, instantly bringing her back to her senses.

"Hahahahahahahaha!!" The great white shark lying on the ground let out a hysterical laugh, but drool was dripping from its mouth, its eyes were wide open to the limit and bloodshot, like a child who had encountered a nightmare in its sleep.

Hysterical laughter erupted from everyone's mouths, the air thick with green, yet unable to conceal the distorted features and expressions of utter despair on their faces.

With two empty clicks as the pulse gun ran out of energy, Bai Aina casually tossed it aside, knowing that the battle was not over yet.

"Get out of the way!" With a sweep of his arm past the laughing and crying patients beside him, the crocodile man, whose physique was stronger than that of a normal person, clenched his right fist and made a crisp sound of his muscles contracting. He punched the ice wall, ice shards flew everywhere, and spider web-like cracks penetrated more than three inches into the ice wall.

Immediately afterwards, his fists pounded out like a machine gun, and the killer crocodile, panting heavily, had his chest heaving violently like a bellows. The ice wall in front of him was smashed into pieces, but it remained standing.

Next, Bane's right arm, under the injection of the enhancement fluid, became deformed, with veins swelling up menacingly as if about to burst through. His right wrist, now brimming with immense kinetic energy, slammed out like a cannonball, shattering the ten-inch-thick ice wall and creating a gap large enough for a person to pass through.

In just a few short seconds, these patients were rendered unable to get up from the ground. If it weren't for Bane and Killer Croc's superhuman physiques, they would probably be lying on the ground laughing hysterically right now.

Having just crawled out of the fault line, Killer Croc burst into uncontrollable maniacal laughter. His frenzied attack to break through the ice wall had made his breathing more rapid and his blood circulation faster than before. The maddening laughing gas and fear gas he had inhaled earlier quickly took effect, and this two-meter-tall mutated human was now roaring helplessly, mixed with hysterical, maniacal laughter.

Standing behind the ice wall, waiting patiently for Bane to arrive, Baina was not in a hurry. Instead, she leisurely examined the human chariot in front of her.

“You bastard…” Compared to the other patients, Bane’s condition was clearly much better. His special enhancement fluid not only strengthened his power, but also greatly enhanced his recovery and immunity, so he wasn’t overly affected by the madness-inducing laughing gas and fear gas. “Who hired you? Lei Xiao Aug? Or the Joker?”

“It’s nothing, I just…” Taking a step forward, swinging her arms in a fighting stance, Bai Aina answered with her back to the surveillance camera. “I just felt I should do it.”

Speaking of which, this move was originally called "Radiant Slide Blade"? That's too much of a mouthful, let's just call it "Radiant Blade" instead. Even with a formidable enemy at hand, Bai Aina couldn't help but drift off into her own thoughts.

Although Baina looked like an ordinary girl, even one who could be described as weak and helpless, Bain had no intention of being arrogant. Instead of rushing in for close combat, he turned around, grabbed a block of ice, and then spun around, using the force of his rotation to smash the ice block at Baina with all his might.

Tsk, what a hassle. Instead of meeting him head-on, Baina kicked off the wall, used the reaction force to get close to the ceiling, and then stomped on the ceiling with one foot, adjusting her angle as she charged straight at Bane.

Chapter Eight: Please Don't Die Now

Facing Baiana rushing towards him, Bain spread his five fingers and waved his large, fan-like hand, crushing her to death as if he were swatting a mosquito.

Unable to change course in mid-air, Beaune was not pinned down by Bane's hand. With a flick of her left wrist, her almost broken arm lashed out like a chain gun, and her five fingers together pierced the giant's right eye like a sword.

Despite his exceptionally tall stature and bulky muscles that made him appear incredibly bulky, Bain possessed astonishing agility and reaction speed that completely contradicted his appearance.

Facing the palm sword thrusting towards his eyes, Bain showed no fear or panic. He changed course midway with his fan-like hand, grabbing Baina's outstretched hand and simultaneously exerting force, producing a crisp sound.

With just that one grip, Bane's monstrous strength, enhanced by venom, unleashed incredible power. Enveloped and squeezed by the large palm, Baina's left hand was crushed to pieces, her metacarpal bones reduced to fragments embedded in her flesh and nerves. Even without doing anything, the excruciating pain was enough to make one wish for death.

She frowned, not because of pain, but because Bane's reflexes were beyond her expectations. The Venom-enhanced Bane not only possessed superhuman physical abilities, but also reflexes that were equally outstanding.

His chain palm strike was undeniably tricky, yet Bane defended it with such ease? Fine, he might as well give it a try. As for the Pillar Men's other special abilities…

"Kid, where are you from, cyborg? How did you manage to infiltrate Arkham?" A deep voice asked. Just as Bane was about to test how long Baina's arm could stretch, he felt a sharp pain in his palm, as if he were holding not a little girl's hand, but a red-hot iron.

Bane flung the crushed hand aside, revealing that his broad hand was covered in transparent mucus. Under the digestive juices of the Pillar Man, corrosive wounds began to spread from the skin to the nerves below, and a dark hole appeared on his palm, the flesh inside disappeared, and the edges were covered with a horrifying yellowish-brown pus.

"Damn it!" Bane increased the dosage of venom injected into his body. With the support of a large amount of enhancement fluid, his body's regenerative abilities were correspondingly strengthened, and the hole in his palm quickly filled up. "Fine, whoever it is, I'll just crush you now."

“I’m sorry, but I can’t die here.” With one hand, she took out a small freeze gun from her storage card and pulled the trigger before Bane could attack. “Without corresponding enhancements, even this body can’t compare to you.”

A white beam of light burst forth. Despite his seemingly enormous and clumsy body, Bane was incredibly agile. He simply dodged the incoming beam of freezing light by sidestepping, and at the same time reached out and grabbed the ice wall next to him, pulling himself behind the ice wall to hide.

Having temporarily dodged the freeze gun beam, Bane then raised his powerful thigh and kicked the two-meter-high ice wall. With a deafening roar like a bomb exploding, the ice wall was sent flying. The whistling ice wall crashed down on Bai Aina, who let out a hiss, then quickly ducked down and stored the freeze gun in her storage card.

With her cheek making zero-distance contact with the ground, Bai Aina successfully avoided the several-ton ice wall, thus avoiding being smashed into a pile of minced meat.

The ice wall that slammed into the alloy gate shattered into countless tiny fragments scattered all over the ground, and the alloy gate also developed visible dents from the impact of the ice wall.

"!" A piercing sound of wind rang out from above. Although she didn't look up, Baina could guess that it was Bane's foot. With his size and strength, this kick could crush her head like a watermelon.

She rolled on the ground in a very unseemly manner, dodging Bain's stomping feet with several side rolls. When one of his attacks failed, he continued to stomp his feet, determined to crush this damned brat into a pulp.

One, two... three! As she rolled away from Bane's feet for the third time, Behaina pressed one hand to the ground, and with the help of the Pillar Man's regenerative abilities, her other hand successfully returned to its original shape, launching a metallic blade from the side of her arm and slicing towards the tendons in Bane's foot.

He had never expected his opponent to have such a formidable regenerative ability. His hand, which had been almost crushed into a pulp, returned to normal in less than half a minute. With a splatter of blood, the tendons were severed with pinpoint accuracy, and Bane immediately fell to one knee on the ground.

"Fuck your mother! You had a good time just now, didn't you? Now it's my turn!" Before Bain could reach for the ice block next to him, Baina pulled out the freeze gun from her storage card and pulled the trigger. The distance between them was no more than three meters, and the opponent was big enough that even a StarCraft player could successfully hit her.

Raising his arm to shield himself, Bain's thick arm was instantly frozen by a large block of ice. Before he could make any other move, Baina flicked her wrist, and the white light of the freeze gun enveloped the tall man completely.

The temperature inside the cramped room plummeted, making it feel like an ice cave; the biting cold made Baina uncomfortable. Before her stood a small iceberg, encasing Bain's entire body within it.

"Hoo..." Bai Aina exhaled a breath of hot air and felt something unusual in her body. It seemed that the Pillar Man's body was automatically heating up the blood in her body in order to adapt to the sudden low temperature generated inside the alloy channel.

Feeling a little dizzy, maybe she hadn't adjusted yet... Baina shook her head; she could sense that Bain in front of her was not dead.

The other person's body temperature remained above a certain level, and the blood flow and heartbeat did not stop.

However, the small iceberg that sealed him was three inches thick, and it completely blocked all possibilities of his movement. With his whole body frozen, Bane couldn't even fart to shatter the ice sculpture.

I picked up the freeze gun from the ground and examined it. A fully charged small freeze gun can probably freeze a room, and the mess I just made used up about a third of its power. It still has plenty of power now.

Should we thicken the ice wall and kill this guy outright? Baina looked at Bane behind her and couldn't help but wonder.

Although the fight looked tough, if Baiana really wanted to, she could have killed Bane within five moves. Indeed, in terms of strength, agility, and reflexes, her opponent was far superior.

However, if Baina wanted to, she could easily 'drill' into Bane's wound when she cut open his tendons, and then use the Pillar's digestive abilities to devour him completely.

Even disregarding that, Baina still had a large bottle of enhancement fluid in her storage card; using it would be more than enough to tear Bane apart. Even if drinking it directly had some toxicity, it wouldn't kill her, as a Pillar.

But that seems a bit of a bad deal. After all, she's going to turn Gotham upside down later. If Bane, this comedian, dies now, wouldn't that be too boring? Baina shook the freeze gun in her hand and began to think.

"That's settled then." Bai Aina spoke after a moment of thought. She took out a piece of white paper and a marker from her storage card, wrote a few words in a crooked manner, and then tore it up and rewrote them.

Although the writing is rather sloppy, the English text conveys this meaning.

"Please don't die now, live on."

Seemingly feeling that writing only this much wasn't enough, Bai Na added another sentence: "I'm planning to put on a stage play in Gotham City, and it will be very boring without you, so please don't freeze to death in there."

Chapter Nine: Be a Scumbag Once

She casually ripped off Killer Crocodile's hand, walked to the surveillance camera, and used her bloody wound as a pen and her crimson blood as ink to write a blood letter on the wall, denouncing the injustice of this dark world.

“Killer and Punisher—Jason Todd, this city fears me simply because I have seen its true face, and darkness will devour those who gaze into it.”

After finishing the task, Baina saw Edward writhing on the ground in pain. Summoning her courage again, she picked up the tranquilizer rifle from the ground and used it as a crutch, struggling to go outside to report the news.

“Hey, my friend, you look pretty energetic.” Baina walked up to him eagerly. Edward’s face turned as black as a rag the moment he saw her, and he looked like he had seen a ghost. He was so scared that he immediately fell to the ground.

"Don't come near me! Aaaaaaah!" Edward, who had completely lost his mind, roared, his gun barrel trembling wildly as it searched for a target, but Baina suddenly stepped next to Edward, a syringe in her hand.

"Ugh!" With a hysterical scream, the syringe plunged into Edward's shoulder. The needle broke off under the force and remained lodged in his scapula. In excruciating pain, he twisted his head and passed out.

"Sorry, I forgot to anesthetize you during the amputation surgery. It's not too late to add anesthesia now." Looking at the broken syringe in her hand, Bai Aina casually tossed it aside, then took out Edward's severed limb. "Oh right, I almost forgot to return this to you. It's not too late to get a replacement, is it?"

Seeing that Edward had already fainted, Baina didn't say much, but simply stuffed the severed limb into his arms.

"Don't worry, I'll come back to you later. I'm an honest and trustworthy person, and I'll definitely help you find a prosthetic leg."

Judging by the time, Red Robin or Nightwing should have already arrived at Arkham Asylum, but Baiana still had things to do. So she went up to the upper floor of the building, to the monitoring room, and started working on the computers there.

After rummaging through drawers and cabinets, she found a USB drive, downloaded all the data from Arkham Asylum into it, tossed it into her storage card, and then jumped out of the window.

It started raining in Gotham at some point, and dark clouds covered the land. Wearing only a thin hospital gown, Bai Na walked along the main street of the mental hospital, the raindrops hitting her and sliding coolly down her skin to the ground.
