Pokémon: Starting with Lucario and Gardevoir

This is her first time hosting a Challenge League match.

This truly stirred a subtle flutter in her heart!

"Next, let's give a warm round of applause to welcome the winner of this year's Rainbow Phantom Tournament."

"And also the protagonist of today, the first person to challenge the league in twenty years!"

"The first Gym Leader of Slateport City, renowned throughout the entire Pokémon world!"

"A righteous trainer who destroys evil organizations that wreak havoc in the Hoenn and Kanto regions."

"The hero who saved Fuyan Town and twice turned the tide in Kaina City!"

"He is Haoyan!"

Inside the venue, all the lights went out, and then dozens of lights converged on Haoyan as he slowly walked onto the stage.

With his signature warm smile and clean attire, he looked young and handsome.

A huge round of applause and cheers erupted at the scene.

Once the applause subsided a little, Vivian began her introduction.

Because it has been so long since anyone challenged the League, many people have forgotten what the rules of the League are.

Vivian explained in detail for three minutes before she finished.

Many of Haoyan's fans were worried after hearing about the rules.

To challenge the League, you need to fight five opponents at once, defeating the Four Heavenly Kings in order, and finally defeating Mikoto.

There is no chance of recovery during this process.

This is a heavy test for both trainers and Pokémon.

This is also the most difficult part.

Seeing that the explanation was almost complete, Vivian said, "Without further ado, according to the rules, it's the first round of challenges."

"It is a battle between Director Haoyan and Mr. Huayue, one of the Four Heavenly Kings."

"Let's give another round of applause to Curator Haoyan and wish him all the best!"

Then he stepped back, handing the battlefield over to Haoyan and Huayue.

... ...

"Right side confirmed!"

"Left side confirmed!"

"Control confirmed!" The entire league is taking this game very seriously.

Five referees were specially assigned to oversee the scene from different directions.

There is also a head referee who is constantly monitoring every move on the battlefield from the main station.

"Haoyan challenges the league, first match begins!" the referee announced.

With the referee's call, Haoyan took his first step toward the highest peak in the Hoenn region.

... ...

Chapter 477 He's a Heavenly King, at least give him some face.

Elite Four member, specializing in Dark-type Pokémon.

There are many types of Dark-type Pokémon, and they are quite comprehensive.

Unlike Steel-type Pokémon, which are mostly bulky, Dark-type Pokémon have excellent defensive Pokémon like Tyranitar and Umbreon.

Other damage dealers include Weavile, Houndoom, Absol, and others.

Dark-type has decent coverage and is only weak to Fighting and Bug-type.

Another characteristic of Dark-type Pokémon is that they excel at fast-paced attacks.

"Director Haoyan, please give me your guidance!"

As the Alliance's first 'gatekeeper', Hua Yue usually stays in Caiyou City and doesn't have much contact with Hao Yan.

"King Huayue, please give me your guidance," Haoyan replied with a smile.

The two weren't very familiar with each other, so they decided to settle things with a fight.

Kagetsu threw out his Poké Ball first; it was an Absol.

As soon as the battle began, Kagetsu activated the Mega Ring on her arm: "Absol, Mega Evolution!"

Pokémon: Absol (Mega Evolution)

[Attribute]: Evil

[Level]: 85 (Early Champion)

[Ability]: Magic Mirror (Pokémon with this ability will reflect the opponent's status move back to them. Furthermore, the status move used by the opponent will be nullified.)

[Description]: The energy of super-evolution transforms into a menacing aura, spreading in all directions. The timid will be frightened to death.

... ...

Absol is the symbol of the Flower Moon Pokémon.

"Come out, Lucario." Haoyan released Lucario.

For this challenge league, conserving energy is key.

So, I chose to use Lucario right from the start.

In terms of attributes, Lucario has a clear advantage.

Fighting is effective against Dark, and Dark-type damage is only half as powerful against Steel.

Huayue was not surprised that Haoyan used Lucario in the battle.

Hua Yue never thought she could defeat Hao Yan.

His job was to exhaust Haoyan's Pokémon's stamina as much as possible.

To create opportunities for those who come after.

Huayue quickly commanded, "Absol, use Flame Burst!"

Huayue watched the match between Hiroki and Daigo yesterday.

We no longer care about tactics, since Haoyan will see through any tactic anyway.

It would be better to just use your ultimate move right from the start!

"Little Ou undergoes a super evolution, quickly engages in close combat, and defeats the opponent."

"Immediately exit the super-evolution state from the opponent's current state." Hao Yan commanded using his Aura Power.

It's a battle of pure physical prowess, a test of who's faster and stronger!

Absol quickly mobilized its energy and used a powerful fire-type move, Flamethrower.

Hanazuki believed that if it hit, it could cause considerable damage to Lucario.

Hao Yan's Lucario left a footprint on the ground before quickly leaping away.

He broke through the flames and arrived in front of Absol.

"Absol, watch out!" Kagetsu shouted immediately.

After Mega Evolution, Lucario withstood a Fireball, then used its Extreme Speed to teleport in front of Absol.

The punch has arrived.

Upon getting close, he immediately unleashed a fierce combo attack, sending Absol flying.

The results were outstanding.

After Absol collapsed, he never got up again.

"This...this..." Huayue looked at Absol, who was lying on the ground, in disbelief.

"So fast!"

"So strong!"

"How rude!"

Lucario didn't use any fancy tricks; he instantly defeated his opponent!

This is completely unlike Haoyan's previous fighting style!

Everyone in the guest seats was dumbfounded.

The first round was over in less than ten seconds?

... ...

Returning our attention to the battlefield, Kagetsu found it hard to accept the fact that his Absol had been instantly killed.

He shook his head vigorously, as if trying to expel the negative emotions from his heart.

He looked at Haoyan with a serious expression.

"Please, Weavile!" Huayue released his second Pokémon.

Weavile always has a mischievous look, yet it possesses a unique kind of cuteness.

However, in terms of attributes, it is still completely countered by Lucario!

Ice and evil take four times the damage of melee attacks, and their defense and endurance are already weak.

They are high-attack, high-speed assassins.

But Huayue had no choice; if she didn't use the faster Mavila, she simply couldn't keep up with Haoyan's pace.

"Mavila, use..." As soon as a Mavila was equipped, Huayue immediately gave the order.

They wanted to launch a preemptive attack.

But he hadn't finished speaking.
