"I heard that you're in charge of Boss Xia's security department. Are you already doing all this at such a young age?"
"When I was on the snowfield, I was the team's top marksman. Now that you know that, why don't you let me go!"
Yelena struggled a couple of times, but whether as a sniper or a sorcerer, she wasn't exactly a melee fighter and couldn't break free from the little tiger's grasp.
Let alone her, it's questionable whether Lao Xia can even break free. After all, she has the superhuman strength to swing a piano like a hammer. Judging from this, if Lao Xia really marries her, he'll probably have some fun in bed.
"Could you arrange a tactical exchange for me..." Little Tiger whispered affectionately in Yelena's ear, "My men need some training, especially in their security and search capabilities..."
"Are you sure you want my Yeti squad to train with your people?" The white rabbit stopped moving, a very strange expression on its face. Do you know what you're saying?
Are you pitting the Yeti squad, who are accustomed to using exoskeletons and Originium-powered armor and are skilled in breakthroughs and infiltrations, against your Lungmen trash guards in a breakthrough and infiltration battle that they excel at?
"Okay, I promise you. What time and what place?"
"You arrange the time, and as for the location, the lower deck of Lungmen City. I'll clear that area out."
"How do I clear that area?"
"Buy it..."
"O.O? (Bunny in shock ojpg)"
“If the old city renovation is completed, a connecting bridge and a traffic bridge will be needed to connect the two district modules. I’ll buy it and turn it into an underground commercial pedestrian street. Boss Xia is recruiting so many people and paying them so high salaries. There will definitely be a lot of people who will come to spend money after get off work. I won’t lose money,” Little Tiger said matter-of-factly.
"Even if there isn't enough foot traffic, converting it into a paid parking lot can still break even."
"Ah, this..." The white rabbit was even more surprised, and looked at the little tiger carefully. "I know why you and Old Xia get along so well."
Damn it, how can two people who don't care about money and can be Versailles to each other not get along? If you put White Rabbit in her shoes, she might not be able to accept this way of spending money—after all, she is an ordinary person born in a mining village and a middle-class family in Ursus.
Just as the instructor couldn't understand why Cat Head would use her snack money to buy a box of etched bullets, or even what kind of snacks she ate that were so expensive, White Rabbit felt an invisible wall blocking them, and Old Xia happened to be on the other side of that wall.
"Alright, three days from now, in the underground city. Make sure your men are prepared to be taught a lesson..."
"Yes, they deserve to be taught a lesson. By the way, do your men need their equipment upgraded? How much is the payment for each cooperation?" Personal favors aside, business is business; Little Tiger pulled out his checkbook.
"Hmm... just pay the normal training price." White Rabbit didn't want it at first, but she swallowed her words.
She doesn't need it, but the Yeti Squad warriors do. She has Old Xia to support her, while they need to support their families and save money for their weddings. In Lungmen, where land is incredibly valuable and living costs are exorbitant, it would be extremely difficult without money.
“I understand…” The little tiger nodded and began signing the checks quickly. “18 Lungmen Dollars each time, consider it a small discount on me.”
"Okay, sure." 18 Lungmen Dollars is a fairly normal expense for training, even a bit stingy.
However, Swire had never seen the Yeti team fight at full strength, so she could only offer this price. If it were the normal price of 24 to 30 per battle, she would have directly hired a professional training institution.
"Just a reminder, be prepared to get beaten to tears." "Don't worry, I trust the Lungmen Guard Bureau operators, and I trust my subordinates," Little Tiger said confidently.
However, the white rabbit thought to herself, "You can only believe them after they see my people!"
[Lungmen Annihilation: Guard Bureau Underground Training Grounds]
enemy:
Yeti Squad Scouts:
A high-speed reconnaissance operative equipped with a mobile exoskeleton and camouflage cloak; Block -1, Movement Speed: Fast, Attack A, Defense D, Magic Resistance D, Health C.
Yeti Squad Elite:
Elite operators equipped with mobile exoskeletons cannot be blocked except by heavy armor. Their attack speed doubles when their health is below half. Movement speed: Fast, Attack: A, Defense: B, Magic Resistance: B, Health: C.
Yeti Squad Citybreakers:
A heavy-armored operator equipped with power armor and siege weapons, reduces all damage from all sources by 50%, discards the armor after 60 seconds of entry, and increases all damage from all sources by 50%. Attack: S, Defense: S (A), Magic Resistance: S (B), Health: S (A), Movement Speed: Slow.
Yeti Squad Ambush:
A sniper who quickly ambushes targets, cannot attack until blocked, deals area damage, can attack while moving, movement speed: medium, attack: A, defense: C, magic resistance: C, health: C;
Yeti Squad's Firepower Taker:
A fast-firing damage dealer that quickly suppresses targets. When attacking, it stays in place and continuously deals damage to the target. Movement speed: Medium, Attack: B, Defense: B, Magic Resistance: A, Health: A.
Yeti Engineer:
The engineer who sets up the electromagnetic ballista and tactical facilities has no offensive capabilities. He will stay near the ballista and will not move forward. His defense is B, magic resistance is A, health is S, and his movement path is towards the ballista.
Froststar:
Needless to say, the first phase is sniping, the second phase is casting, and everyone understands the mechanics of the floor demolition. In the first phase, the sniping mode attacks all friendly operators on the field, regardless of range. No matter where they are positioned, they can attack the last deployed operator (including those behind tactical cover). (Castrators and snipers can probably take down an operator in two hits at most.)
terrain:
Electromagnetic crossbow:
Randomly deployed high ground every 60 seconds, prioritizing heavy units. Up to 4 cannons can be deployed. When an operator is next to one of them, control is gained. If an enemy engineer enters within one tile of a ballista, the operator controlled by the operator will be instantly eliminated. The enemy will prioritize attacking the ballistas controlled by the operator.
HP 4000, Defense 230, Attack 2000, Ignores 50% of defense and magic resistance, Attack speed: Slow;
Tactical bunkers:
Costs 5 Elixir. Creates a Dragon Gate Tactical Bunker on any low-ground tile, lasting 45 seconds. It functions as a heavy unit, providing unlimited blocking, 7500 HP, and 940 defense. Only a maximum of two tactical bunkers can exist at a time. (Can benefit from buffs from units like Nian and Reddy.)

Chapter Thirteen: The Battle of Longmen (Part 2)
Chapter XIII
The exercise location was set in the underground city, which was indeed the connection between the old city and the management area. Swire's construction team spent two days building a terrain of varying heights using various foam boards and lightweight composite boards, and laid rope nets under the connecting bridge.
Since the Yeti Squad is playing the role of rioters launching a raid, rather than a regular army, some commonly used equipment and certain tactics are prohibited. This is also a drill for the Yeti Squad.
They also train how to deal with elite sniping forces, and how to face elite troops in urban warfare and street fighting.
If it becomes merely a way to show off one's equipment advantage, then there's no point in doing so, as it won't serve any purpose for training or drills.
Moreover, an exercise is still just an exercise. The Yeti can't actually drag the molten cannon and electromagnetic machine gun up, and Lungmen can't really treat them like wooden stakes and bombard them with the most powerful spells and explosive bolts. This means that many of the Yeti's advantages can't actually be utilized.
For example, heavy units wearing Originium-powered armor are given a defense rating set by Swire according to the standards of steam knights. If they are hit by a certain number of dyed sponge strips representing explosive crossbow bolts and fluorescent bullets representing destructive spells, they are considered to have lost their combat capability.
Yelena had no objection to this, because even in actual combat, the weak firepower of the Lungmen police would not be able to threaten these big guys, but that did not mean that the Yeti Squad would be dealing with "police-level" counter-terrorism firepower in the future.
Not to mention that if Talulah is controlled by the Black Serpent again for some reason, they will have to face the can opener that is the molten weapon. Swire's setting of the number of hits that represent the loss of combat ability is even an overestimation for the Yeti Squad.
If the goal is to achieve the effect of an exercise, it's impossible to make them actually face the situation as if the other side is using non-lethal weapons like rubber bullets, as this would foster very bad tactical habits.
Originally, White Rabbit didn't even plan to use vehicles or armor. However, Swire indicated that they had just taken down Rhine Lab's smuggling network together, and might take some retaliatory actions.
Therefore, it is quite normal for the attackers to have vehicles, firearms, elite Sarkaz mercenaries, and explosive weapons.
The exercise was divided into two parts. One part was a pre-determined battlefield, in which the Guard Bureau was tasked with protecting important facilities from rioters and undertaking defensive work. Compared to a military exercise, they also needed to protect civilians. The attacking side's objective was to storm the facilities and kill as many civilians as possible.
One was a demolition and breaching tactical drill conducted by the Guard Bureau, while the Yeti conducted an indoor drill for VIP protection and defense. Both were rare opportunities for both sides.
After all, the Guard Bureau rarely has the combat force of this caliber to undertake this offensive mission, and the Yetis have almost no security experience, especially in urban indoor areas.
"Swire, are you really going to make me go all out?"
“Yes, we must shatter their arrogance in the first match and make them take it seriously.” Swire nodded. “Besides, didn’t we already discuss the various settings and numerical issues for the exercise?”
"That's true... but it's still a bit beyond the scope of the curriculum..."
“That’s why it’s called a lesson.” The little tiger opened his folding fan to cover his mouth. “Besides, I also made advance arrangements and agreed on your attack direction and path. In real combat, there’s no such thing as a free lunch.”
"That's true. If it really is a breakthrough operation, your people..."
They would probably be wiped out in no more than three minutes. The Yeti squad would not obediently follow the exercise route and charge the pre-set position from the connecting bridge. Their grappling hooks and small drones were enough to allow them to launch a breakthrough attack from any point.
"Then I'll go prepare. You should also tell your people to be mentally prepared. Our Ursus style might be a little different from Lungmen's Spring Breeze." Seeing that the little tiger was determined to teach his subordinates a lesson, Yelena could only leave helplessly.
"Did you all hear that? Our benefactor told us to give it our all. If anyone drags our feet, don't blame me for being ruthless later." Yelena stood on the spare equipment box, holding a megaphone, and lectured the Yeti team one by one. "If you still want to get the full 18 LMD reward, then you'd better put in every ounce of your strength."
"No problem, big sister, we'll definitely squeeze the shit out of them."
"Don't say anything about shit or anything like that, that's so vulgar. You should say you beat them until they couldn't help themselves."
"Incontinence? You're being a bit too elegant. I can barely make out what it is."
"Hey, hey, it's almost time! Hurry up and get ready. What are you all doing here?"
"Weren't you here to perform comedy?" The Yeti Squad exchanged bewildered glances. "We're here for an exercise! You bastards!" Telling jokes before the battle was meant to lighten the mood. Soon, the Yeti Squad prepared for a full-scale attack.
"A bridge, with its varying elevations, pre-positioned defensive forces, and fixed attack routes, is bound to cause a lot of deaths."
"We're playing the role of rioters launching a full-scale assault, so it's normal for us to suffer heavy casualties. Besides, we can't really treat the other side like cops. Our leader said we should treat them as a blocking force composed of Ursus' elite Shield Guards."
"Ahem, thirty seconds countdown," the drone hovered overhead, and Swire's voice, as the exercise director, echoed across the battlefield, "Ready..."
Thirty seconds passed in the blink of an eye. Explosions rang out, signaling the attacking side to begin entering their designated positions. Fireworks spewed flames and thick smoke, quickly covering the set set up on the other side of the connecting bridge.
This is an advantage for the attackers. Under the cover of the thick smoke, they will try their best to cross the long bridge and launch an attack on the safe zone guarded by the guards. The area covered by the thick smoke is the chaotic zone occupied by the rioters.
"Whoosh!" Two trucks burst through the thick smoke, marked by the sponge strips and fluorescent grenades fired by the guards. With a sudden stop and a fishtail, the Yeti Assault Troopers, already wearing powered exoskeletons, stepped out of the trucks in two steps.
Although they also carried crossbows that fired sponge strips and sparklers that fired fluorescent bullets, and even set the "damage threshold" to a rather low level, it did not restrict their tactical reactions and mobility.
"Idiots, suppressive fire with alternating fire! Are you fresh out of school?!"
The guards were clearly nervous as the Yeti Assault Troopers, who moved swiftly and rapidly, using cardboard boxes piled up to represent obstacles and barricades as cover, approached the long bridge.
Almost every high position was firing as much as possible, but the firepower was so concentrated that although several Yeti Raiders left the battlefield covered in stains and grime, the follow-up troops were able to quickly enter the battlefield by truck.
"Force feedback, normal...fire control, normal..." The metal gauntlets made a crackling sound, with sparklers swirling around them like rocket nests.
The Yeti Citybreakers, already inside their power armor, were lowered to the ground by a makeshift crane on the back of the truck. These 1.7-ton Citybreaker power armors would be difficult to transport and deploy without mechanical equipment.
Its combat time is very limited. If all modules are equipped, a single Originium fuel rod can only last for less than 30 minutes, and it is only used to break through the defenses of mobile cities for siege warfare.
These metal monsters, carrying sponge sticks on their backs, approached the Guard Bureau's position with slow but firm steps. "Click!" Folded shields unfolded on their arms, blocking almost all of the incoming fluorescent bullets and dyed sponge strips.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" A string of fluorescent bullets fell on the Guard Bureau's defensive positions like a meteor shower. Even though they instinctively countered and dodged, some overly greedy high-ground snipers were forced to withdraw from the battlefield.
Other Yeti snipers and combat personnel followed closely behind the city breachers, rapidly advancing and creating a similar effect to a combined arms assault, with heavy armor at its core.
This tactical and combat pressure, similar to that of a regular army, manifested in the officers of the Guard Bureau as a complete forgetting that this was just an exercise. Their expressions became extremely panicked, and some even prepared to abandon their defensive positions and flee.
"How embarrassing!" Swire slapped herself in the face. It seemed she had made the right choice in hiring Yelena's people for training.
Although in theory Skadi's power armor, which sacrifices sustainability for maximum defense and penetration, shouldn't be a problem with conventional magic, the guerrilla warlocks found that it would take at least two or three ordinary spell bullets to hit a single point to penetrate the seemingly thin folding shield.
Not to mention, with their W-designed, Xia-manufactured, Skadi-modified grenade launchers, it's hard to say who would blow whom up first compared to the unprotected or poorly protected sorcerer troops.
