Why is my anime art style so weird?

The opponent will obviously also be teleported to that so-called final altar, and the final battle is about to begin.

While Xu Ming was deep in thought, the two little ones flew to his shoulder and sat down.

"here we go."

Bai Zhen suddenly blurted out a sentence.

Before he could finish speaking, Xu Ming immediately felt a familiar dizziness and couldn't help but close his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, he was in another place.

The sky here is blood red, with a pitch-black sun above.

The place he was in was an altar that resembled the ancient Roman Colosseum, with a high outer ring and a low inner ring.

The altar floor was paved with an unknown grayish-white rock, engraved with complex and mysterious patterns that emitted an ominous blood-red glow. It was actually a huge magic circle with a diameter of over thirty meters.

Just as Xu Ming was observing his surroundings, a red beam of light appeared on the opposite side of the altar, and then a familiar figure wearing a fox mask walked out from it.

"Tsukiyomi fate!"

Xu Ming gave a low shout and immediately summoned all his shikigami. The shadows beneath his feet writhed and throbbed, as if they were eager to fight.

'Tsukuyomi' seemed surprised that Xu Ming would appear here, and paused slightly in her steps.

She managed to collect seven class-specific chess pieces so quickly by cheating; how did Xu Ming manage to do it?

No one knows who gave her the courage, but she quickly recovered and continued walking forward to face Xu Ming.

Just as Xu Ming was rubbing his hands together, ready to teach her a lesson, a series of unhurried footsteps suddenly sounded outside the empty altar.

There are still people here!?

who is it?

Xu Ming quietly took out his phone and held it in his hand, his defensive spell ready to be activated at any moment.

To his surprise, 'Tsukuyomi no Mikoto' seemed to know very well who the visitor was.

She took a step to the side, then stood upright and bowed deeply.

"It's you!?"

Xu Ming's eyes widened suddenly as a figure he never expected appeared there.

A snow-white pine and crane patterned chimney, a golden ceremonial crown, a pretty yet familiar face, elegant, serene, and dignified yet approachable...

"Why you!? Kato Megumi!!"

Xu Ming clenched his fist tightly, his nails digging deep into his flesh, staring intently at the beautiful young woman opposite him.

Good evening, Ming.

Kato Megumi smiled faintly and said:

"I think you've probably guessed it by now."

Xu Ming remained silent; he did indeed have some doubts.

The Exorcists Association, representing the official forces of Japan, was unable to do anything to an underground organization and was constantly being led by the nose by them.

This in itself is the biggest point of suspicion.

Even if Ashiya Dōman is an old monster who has lived from ancient times to the present, and a big shot who can go toe-to-toe with Abe no Seimei.

But no matter how powerful an underground organization is, it can't possibly stand against an entire country; that's the reality.

Don't be fooled by the illogical settings in movies and animations.

Even the most powerful underground organization might be able to deal with one or two large villages, but it is definitely no match for a country.

The resources available to the two are vastly different, by more than just one or two dimensions.

Unless, of course, this underground organization is parasitic on the state itself.

For example, the 'Root' in Naruto.

Xu Ming had also suspected that this mysterious underground organization might be connected to the Japanese high command.

But he never expected that the mastermind behind this underground organization was actually Kato Megumi.

"why?"

Xu Ming suddenly asked, his voice tinged with a strange bitterness.

Kato Megumi didn't answer, but looked up at the black sun above the altar.

The appearance of the red and blue beams of light seemed to have triggered a mechanism, and the magic circle on the altar floor suddenly started to operate, with the patterns carved on the stone slabs emitting an eerie blood-red light.

Then a beam of light shot out from the magic circle and struck the black sun in mid-air.

The black sun suddenly burst forth with iridescent black light, its eerie colors resembling black oil floating on water.

As the light reached its zenith, a dark golden holy grail appeared and slowly descended.

Before Kato Megumi could speak, Tsukuyomi took out the Holy Grail of the Star and the Holy Grail of the Moon that she had stolen, knelt on one knee, and raised the two Holy Grails high with both hands.

The three Holy Grails seemed to have formed some inexplicable connection, emitting a dim, colorful light.

The Star and Moon Grails seemed to be drawn to the Sun Grail.

The three Holy Grails converged and began to spin rapidly, causing the magic circle on the ground to glow even brighter.

Finally, it was as if a rainbow had burst open, with colorful light spreading in all directions.

The three Holy Grails merged into one crystal-clear Grail, seemingly made of gemstones.

The jeweled chalice floated above the magic circle, constantly radiating a dazzling rainbow of light.

At this moment, Kato Megumi withdrew her gaze and looked at Xu Ming opposite her.

Do you remember the World War seventy years ago?

Xu Ming nodded slightly. This was a major war that affected the whole world; how could he not remember it?

"Besides the surface world, a great war also broke out in the underworld, and just like in the surface world, Japan suffered a crushing defeat..."

Kato Megumi began to speak slowly.

Xu Ming wanted to know the reason, so he could only patiently listen to her explanation.

"The Western underworld, led by the Holy Church, joined forces with the underworld of the Celestial Empire to construct a terrifying magic circle in Japan as punishment."

This magic circle draws in negative energy from all over the world and then constantly washes over Japan's spiritual energy network, thereby diminishing Japan's national fortune.

The negative energy scattered throughout the world was absorbed, and various 'strange phenomena' greatly decreased, allowing people to live in peace and prosperity. Only Japan was affected by the magic circle; the number of 'strange phenomena' surged, and the nation's fortune was greatly weakened, leading to a series of disasters…

"That's wonderful! The world where only Japan was injured is now complete!"

Kato Megumi seemed somewhat agitated as she spoke, her calm gaze turning sharp.

Xu Ming snorted coldly, "If it weren't for the Japanese courting disaster, things wouldn't have come to this."

Xu Ming even considered saying: "Well done, please increase the intensity."

"So what? You want to take revenge on the whole world?"

Xu Ming asked coldly.

Kato Megumi quickly regained her calm and composed demeanor and gently shook her head.

How can one country possibly stand against the whole world?

I just want to restore everything to its original state.

"I will use the power of the Holy Grail to destroy this magic circle!"

Kato Megumi's eyes were filled with determination.

Because of their differing stances, Xu Ming knew that things couldn't end peacefully today.

If Kato Megumi destroys the magic circle, the neighboring Celestial Empire and even the whole world will be affected.

Other countries can be ignored, but it's unacceptable for China to be affected!

So you Japanese should suffer on your own!

Kato Megumi seemed to have discerned Xu Ming's attitude from his expression.

'Tsukuyomi' suddenly turned into a puddle of mud and quickly merged into Kato Megumi's shadow.

She is actually Kato Megumi's shikigami.

Meeting Xu Ming's somewhat surprised gaze, Kato Megumi gently brushed her fingertips through the strands of hair at her temples.

"The moon is simply the shadow of the sun."

And I... am the sun!

As soon as she finished speaking, a dazzling golden light suddenly burst forth from Kato Megumi's body.

Xu Ming couldn't help but cover his face with his hand; for a moment, he even had the illusion of looking directly at the sun.

Finally, the light disappeared, and a completely different Kato Megumi appeared before him.

The snow-white Qianchen was adorned with golden threads, and the pine and crane patterns on it had quietly transformed into a sun-like design, while the crown on her head shone brightly.

The biggest change was to Kato Megumi herself; her once neat and tidy black long hair had turned into a luxurious and dazzling platinum blonde, reaching all the way down to her waist.

Her pupils had turned into dark gold vertical pupils, radiating an unparalleled oppressive force that made people afraid to look her in the eye.

The change in her demeanor is even more astonishing. Originally, Kato Megumi was a quiet girl next door, but now she is more dazzling and aloof than the Empress.

Alarm bells rang in Xu Ming's mind, and his keen senses clearly told him: the girl opposite him was stronger than Athena!

Xu Ming knew that Kato Megumi was strong, but he didn't expect her to be this strong.

They really hid it well!

Xu Ming took a deep breath and looked directly into Kato Megumi's eyes.

"One last question... why have you been helping me all this time?"

Kato Megumi laughed, her laughter carrying a hint of madness she had never seen before.

"Ming, this is the first and last lesson I will teach you:"

There is never love without a reason, nor is there hatred without a reason.
