Why is my anime art style so weird?

"Looks like I need to get serious."

Kato Megumi sighed, slowly straightened up, then took off her former headdress and threw it on the ground.

hum!

A golden halo appeared behind Kato Megumi, and her aura suddenly surged.

Xu Ming sensed something was wrong and quickly launched another attack.

However, when he swung his sword at Kato Megumi, Kato Megumi did not dodge or evade.

Whoosh!

Before the blade could even touch her, Kato Megumi transformed into a ball of golden light. The light flew to the side and then coalesced again, unleashing a powerful punch at Xu Ming.

"!!"

Xu Ming quickly raised his twin swords to block the incredibly strange attack, but was immediately knocked back.

The ball of light transformed back into Kato Megumi, who gazed at him calmly.

"Stop now, Ming."

I am the light.

You...can't beat me.

Xu Ming's heart sank to the bottom.

I never expected that Kato Megumi would still have such a strange and sharp ability.

Xu Ming clenched his teeth and slowly uttered two words through the gap between them.

"Don't even think about it!!"

Kato Megumi shook her head.

"Then I'll have to deal with you first."

Before he could finish speaking, a beam of light appeared in front of Xu Ming in an instant, followed by a fist that came crashing down on him.

In the blink of an eye, the balance of power shifted again, and Xu Ming was suddenly at a disadvantage.

How to do?

What else can be done?

While fending off Kato Megumi's attacks, Xu Ming's mind raced.

Ding!

Just then, a crisp sound rang in my mind, followed by a system notification.

—The Holy Sword of Physics has been upgraded. Please check it, host!

A glint flashed in Xu Ming's eyes, and he threw all the skills from his other equipment at Kato Megumi in one go, while he retreated and quickly checked the attributes of the newly upgraded Physics Holy Sword.

When Kato Megumi casually tore the angelic phantom summoned by the cross in two, Xu Ming, who had already checked its attributes, finally made his decision...

Three minutes later, Xu Ming's momentum instantly vanished.

It seems the outcome is already decided.

"Give up, Ming. You have no chance anymore."

Kato Megumi said calmly.

Xu Ming laughed.

"What are you talking about? The battle has only just begun."

—Is it confirmed that the 'Sessho-seki' will be used to abandon the human body and transform into the 'Nine-Tails' clan?

'confirm!'

Colorful light instantly enveloped Xu Ming's entire body.

Kato Megumi suddenly felt uneasy. She flashed in front of Xu Ming and threw a punch.

call!

With a piercing noise as if the air was being torn apart, a small fist covered in golden light slammed into the colorful light... but the fist did not feel like it had hit anything solid.

Just then, a slightly pale and clean hand grasped Kato Megumi's hand.

Kato Megumi's unease was gradually spreading.

Disregarding everything else, she transformed into light, attempting to escape the grip of the hand.

But she failed.

An ordinary-looking crowbar suddenly appeared and tapped her lightly.

An incredibly eerie feeling washed over me.

Kato Megumi has discovered that her ability to transform into light has vanished!?

It wasn't sealed away, it completely disappeared!!

What did you do?

Kato Megumi stared in astonishment at Xu Ming, who emerged from the colorful light and looked even more handsome.

"It's nothing, I just changed the 'rules'."

Xu Ming smiled faintly.

Physics Holy Sword - True (Level ? Equipment): The ultimate weapon forged by an unknown evil god.

Law Master – Able to forcibly alter the laws governing a target. (Note: Consumes corresponding amounts of life force depending on the target's strength and the ease with which the law can be altered.)

And then... it's gone.

This is the attribute of the upgraded Physics Holy Sword. All its effects are condensed into this one attribute, which is also the most overpowered one.

However, such immense power comes at a price.

Life—that is the price to pay for using the 'True Sword of Physics'.

The system explicitly told Xu Ming that if he wanted to change the laws governing Kato Megumi, even if it was just to slow her down or reduce her strength, the life force required would be measured in years.

Fortunately, he possessed the 'Killing Stone,' which could transform him into a member of the Nine-Tails clan. The Nine-Tails clan possesses incredibly vigorous vitality, almost inexhaustible, and it will further increase as their cultivation level grows.

Now is the time for Xu Ming to make a choice.

Should they choose to remain human and perish together with Kato Megumi, or should they choose to become members of the Nine-Tails clan?

My older sister has become a 'mysterious being' of level 8 or higher, possessing a near-infinite lifespan.

Xu Ming's choice was, of course,...

I'm not human anymore! Kato Megumi!

Thus, the holy sword of physics defeated the incomparably powerful Kato Megumi as soon as it was unsheathed.

There were no fancy lighting effects, no explosive sound effects, just a simple, unpretentious tap...

Xu Ming placed the holy sword of physics on Kato Megumi.

"I won."

"Yes, you win."

Kato Megumi sighed, the light covering her body disappeared, her platinum blonde hair turned back to black, and her scorching aura vanished completely.

Kato Megumi gave up resisting and even closed her eyes.

Xu Ming looked at Kato Megumi, who was waiting for his final judgment, with a serious expression and a very complicated look in his eyes.

He slowly pulled a tattered amulet from his pocket and spoke in a hoarse voice.

"You say you've been using me all along, then tell me, what is this?"

Kato Megumi opened her eyes, and when she saw the amulet clearly, a hint of panic flashed in her eyes. She pretended to be calm and said:

"Since I want to use you, of course I have to ensure your safety..."

"you are lying!"

Xu Ming narrowed his eyes slightly and forcefully interrupted her.

Kato Megumi immediately pursed her lips.

Seeing Kato Megumi adopt an attitude of being at her mercy, Xu Ming's lips twitched.

He was killed, but people helped him more than once, and even saved his life.

Since he wasn't an ungrateful wretch, he naturally couldn't bring himself to do it.

If he lets her go, I'm afraid Kato Megumi will cause trouble again in the future.

So the only option is to keep her by my side and monitor her for the rest of my life.

"Your life is mine now, so you'll stay with me for the rest of your life!!"

Xu Ming announced in an irrefutable tone.

To everyone's surprise, Kato Megumi showed no surprise whatsoever, nor did she offer any rebuttal.

She simply bowed deeply to Xu Ming with a calm expression.

"Ming, I hope to continue to guide you for the rest of my life."

"Um……

Um!?"

Xu Ming replied casually, then suddenly felt something was off.

I feel like I've been tricked!

Xu Ming couldn't help but look up at Kato Megumi, who had her head bowed and eyes lowered. It seemed that a barely perceptible smile had just flashed across her face.

Could it be that my choice was also part of her calculations...?

Thinking of this, Xu Ming couldn't help but let out a wry smile.

"Hmph! What's the point of keeping such a wicked woman around? Just kill her!"
