Only then did Anivia turn her gaze to Mo Ling. When Anivia looked at him, Mo Ling felt as if his body was about to be completely frozen.
With a rumble, a giant hand rose from the ground, blocking Anivia's view.
“Anivia, you’re going to bother other people.” Murphy slowly emerged from the mountain.
"I just want to know who named you. It's not nice at all, not even as good as what Volibear gave you." Anivia said, turning her head away and flapping her wings twice, as if to apologize, but she didn't seem to apologize at all.
Mo Ling had no interest in pursuing Anivia's matter. He watched as a giant stone golem, estimated to be several hundred meters tall, crawled out of the mountain and was speechless. Good heavens, compared to the enormous Murphy, he was indeed just a small guy.
"That's not important. Why did you wake up early and wake me up too?" Murphy asked, squatting down. Even though he was already sitting down, his height still made the mountain seem much taller. Anivia's figure looked like a tiny butterfly in front of Murphy.
"I don't want to look people in the eye when I talk to them, so can't you shrink a little? Or do you want me to grow bigger too?" Anivia was a little dissatisfied; she had already been giving Murphy face.
If Anivia were to transform into a giant ice phoenix a hundred meters tall, she would probably have to trample this mountain. After all, unlike Malphite, she can't easily control the power of the ley lines and distribute her body weight into all the soil beneath her feet.
“I forgot.” Murphy scratched his head, then shrank rapidly, becoming about the same size as Mo Ling in the blink of an eye.
Anivia shook her head; Malphite looked much more comfortable this way. "When I was sleeping, I heard some guy named Laufy saying he was going to team up with Thanos. Volibear and Ornn aren't here. What are you thinking?"
"...Who is Laufey? Who is Thanos?" Malphite scratched his head, and pebbles fell from his head. He was completely confused.
"Laurence is the leader of the Frost Giants, and I don't know Thanos either," Mo Ling whispered a reminder.
"Frost Giants." Malphite smacked his hand, seemingly understanding, "Aren't they your creations? If you don't want them to cooperate with others, just tell them not to cooperate, right?"
Anivia was taken aback. Although what Malphite said seemed to make sense, she still felt that these frost giants didn't seem to have much to do with her. Perhaps it was because she had been away from this planet for too long? Had she become rusty?
“I don’t think they’ll listen to me,” Anivia said.
"If we disagree, let's discuss it. That's how we always resolved things when Volibear and the others were around," Murphy asked, puzzled. He seemed to be wondering why Anivia had disappeared so suddenly and even forgotten their traditional methods.
Anivia paused, then suddenly realized, "You're right. Maybe it's because I've been spending too much time with those guys from the Human Alliance that my thinking has been influenced by them. But I might not be able to discuss this with them alone. You'll have to come with me."
“I’m not going. You still haven’t told me who Thanos is? Who is the Alliance of Men? And why do you disagree?” Malphite shook his head. Among the four elemental gods, he had the best temper, but he was also the most stubborn. He definitely wouldn’t move until he understood the background.
“Thanos is a despicable guy who wants to kill half of all life in the universe. The Alliance of Man is an organization; I even joined them. They're a pretty interesting group, and the things they do are quite interesting.” Anivia explained as concisely as possible, knowing Malphite's temperament.
“Ah, that’s a bad guy,” Malphite commented on Thanos. “What about Volibear and Ornn? I haven’t seen them.”
“While you were asleep, we got bored and decided to travel to other star systems. When I came back more than six hundred years ago, they hadn’t returned yet, and we don’t know where they are now.” Anivia was getting a little impatient and urged Morpheus, who was still asking questions, “Just tell me if you’re coming with me or not!”
"Huh? Let me think about it." Murphy was a little reluctant. It was freezing cold, and he just wanted to go back to sleep.
"Don't even think about it! Don't even think about it!" Anivia flew onto Malphite's head, her two claws stomping on his skull. "Give me an answer right now, immediately!"
“Okay, okay, I’ll go with you, but not until tomorrow,” Murphy quickly replied. If Anivia kept stomping on it, the mountain would crack. “I want to sleep a little longer today. Oh, and let’s balance the elements, I’m a little cold.”
Anivia was a little speechless, but she didn't say anything. Let Murphy sleep if he wants to, and she'll wake him up tomorrow.
As Anivia took flight, her wings stirred the ice elements around Monolith Mountain. Under her control, the snow in this area stopped, a rare occurrence, and the temperature rose sharply.
Chapter 387 Suddenly a Few "Ancestors" Appeared?
As fate would have it, while Murphy was still fast asleep and hadn't even prepared to discuss things with Lauf, Lauf arrived in the area first.
"Mo Ling! Come out!" Lao Fei's loud voice completely woke everyone up. The mountain giant gripped his weapon and surged out of the tribe, aiming at Lao Fei who was floating in the sky.
Having stayed in Jotunheim for so long, Lao Fei's body has grown to a height of forty or fifty meters thanks to the amplification of the ice element. Even Mo Ling only reaches his waist. Therefore, anyone who isn't blind can easily spot this arrogant guy who makes no attempt to hide.
"Laofei, this is the territory of the Mountain Giants. What do you want to do?" Mo Ling asked, clenching his fist and looking at the Mountain Giants' greatest enemy.
"Heh." Lao Fei looked down at Mo Ling with great disdain. "I am the king of Jotunheim. All land under heaven belongs to the king. This is just a piece of land that I have given you as a place to stay. Don't really think of yourself as the master of this place."
“If you’ve come here just to spout nonsense, then on behalf of the Mountain Giants, I express my utmost disapproval of you!” Mo Ling stretched out his hand, and a massive mountain rose directly from the ground. Mo Ling stood atop the mountain and pointed at Lao Fei as he spoke.
Mo Ling's disrespectful words directly angered Lao Fei, who was just an old man who was about to die, yet he dared to be so arrogant here.
"Looks like I should let you know who the king is here!" Lao Fei clenched his right hand, and the ice surged behind him, forming a giant wave that crashed down in front of him.
With a thunderous roar, a gigantic hand emerged from the mountain behind Mo Ling, then surged forward, shattering the continuous crashing snow waves, and struck Lao Fei with immense power.
Lao Fei was startled. He hadn't felt any fluctuations when the attacker launched the attack, and he put his hands in front of his chest to block.
Snapped!
Murphy's giant hand slammed down on Lauf, swatting him away like a mosquito. The force contained in his hand sent Lauf flying, slamming him into the ground dozens of meters deep before he stopped.
"Murphy doesn't like guys like you who make a racket late at night!" Murphy stood up and roared.
The sheer imposing presence of his hundreds-of-meters-tall height was unmistakable; even standing atop the mountain, Mo Ling was no taller than Murphy's thigh.
"If this is what you're relying on, then let me tell you, you've completely miscalculated!" Lao Fei rushed out from underground, clenched his fist, and threw a punch.
The dazzling blue light completely froze the air in the area, and in the blink of an eye, a huge ice ball, tens of meters thick, was placed in Lao Fei's hand.
Murphy raised his leg; his massive foot seemed to lift slowly, but in reality, it moved incredibly fast. Then, he delivered a powerful kick.
Laufey thought he could scare him? He was far from it. Volibear was much fiercer than him. When they fought, it was like lightning and thunder, and the sky and earth collapsed. Murphy was used to it.
Without dodging or avoiding, Laufeld brought the hammer down head-on, wanting to test just how much Murphy was capable of.
As the fist and leg collided, a crack spread from the point of contact all the way to Murphy's thigh. From that point down, all of his limbs shattered into pieces. Laufey was also badly hurt; his ice fist was shattered, and he was once again stomped back into the ground.
Before Laufey could even rejoice at pulling his head out of the ground, he saw the shattered rocks float in the air and re-coalesce onto Malphite's body, making Malphite look exactly the same as before.
Such incredible regenerative abilities! Where did this guy come from? I've never seen him before.
While he was thinking, Lao Fei did not stop moving. Murphy's attack did not hurt him much. It was just that the difference in size made Lao Fei look a little embarrassed.
Laufey raised his right hand high, and a funnel-shaped vortex formed in the sky. Under the influence of the vortex, the surrounding temperature dropped by tens of degrees, freezing not only the bodies of those around him, but also their minds. Of course, this did not include Murphy and Moring.
A perpetually frozen world!
Lao Fei shouted, forcefully swinging his right hand down. His eyes gleamed with bloodlust. He seemed to already see these daredevils who dared to challenge his authority turned into spoils frozen in ice. He would display these things at the gate of his territory, so that everyone could see what would happen to those who disobeyed him, Lao Fei.
After a few seconds of contemplation, Lao Fei suddenly sensed something was wrong. The chill didn't descend with his movements but remained suspended in the sky.
Looking up, Lao Fei saw a phoenix spreading its wings and flying in the funnel-shaped vortex.
The next moment, Anivia cried out, and Laufey's "Permafrost World" was sucked directly into her mouth while spinning, leaving no trace in the sky.
What the hell is this thing?!
While cursing inwardly, Lao Fei also felt a little uneasy. It seemed that he had stirred up a monster's den. In the blink of an eye, two legendary-level guys had appeared, plus that old but immortal Mo Ling. He felt that he was being a bit too presumptuous to rush in alone.
"So it was you who disrupted the balance of the elements and even allied with Thanos?!" Anivia landed and stared at Lauf as she asked.
While Malphite slept, Anivia took a walk around the planet and discovered that the ice element on this planet was so concentrated that other elements could not condense. The earth element was slightly better, since it had the earth as its foundation. In contrast, the fire and wind/thunder elements were suppressed to the point of being invisible.
As the saying goes, yin cannot grow alone, and yang cannot be born alone. Elements are similar. Before the cycle was disrupted, the four elements were connected and mutually generated, constantly improving the planet's foundation. But now, although the ice element seems to be excessively vigorous, the overall elemental level of the entire planet has actually decreased significantly.
"And who are you?" Laufey asked, arms crossed, looking at Anivia who was questioning him.
Anivia was furious. "What the hell?! Have intelligent life on this planet become this outrageous?!"
The ice sparkled!
A giant ice ball shot out from Anivia's mouth, instantly reaching Rauf in front of her before exploding. Dense cold air enveloped Rauf, and time and space seemed to freeze under the extreme low temperature.
The frost was biting cold!
Gusts of cold wind swept out from Anivia's wings, forming icicles in the air that shot towards the frozen area.
With a few cracking sounds, Lao Fei, who was riddled with icicles like a hedgehog, broke free. He didn't understand why he couldn't control Anivia's ice, and he also vaguely felt a sense of suppression, like a subordinate relationship.
Bo, bo, bo, Lao Fei pulled out the icicles one by one, and the wounds healed instantly.
"Useless, useless, useless! No ice can harm the Frost King!" Lao Fei stretched out his right hand, and a halberd fell into his hand.
Anivia hated Laufey even more. She didn't even dare to say those words, yet this guy spoke them so fluently. What was even more annoying was that, in some ways, Laufey was actually right.
Despite Anivia's appearance instantly negating Rauf's ultimate ability and creating ice that broke through Rauf's defenses, she actually did no damage. It has to be admitted that, in terms of the relevant rules, Rauf and Anivia are now evenly matched.
The slight suppression on the battlefield is only due to the fact that Anivia has a certain advantage in controlling the rules as an elemental life form, while Laufe also has his own advantages. His strong body may make it relatively difficult for him to control the elements, but it brings more attack modes and more non-elemental attack capabilities.
A flash of cold light appeared, and Laufey appeared above Anivia, brandishing his halberd before slashing down.
The crescent-shaped attack split Anivia in two, but the two pieces reassembled behind Lauf, one of the advantages of elemental life forms: strong immunity to physical attacks.
Huhuhu~
Several ice balls were spat out of Anivia's mouth and into Lauf's mouth, each containing the freezing cold that Anivia had extracted.
Without turning his head, Lao Fei flicked his wrist, and the halberd spun around him. A diagonal white line appeared on all the ice balls, and then the ice balls split in two, and the cold air inside dissipated.
Murphy, who was standing nearby, wasn't just watching either. One after another, huge rocks were thrown from Murphy's hands, leaving a trail of fire in the air. Under the high temperature, extremely hot magma formed on the surface of the rocks. This is the origin of Murphy's original title, Lava Beast.
With a whoosh, the shadows of the halberds stretched across the air, shattering all the boulders upon contact and freezing the lava on them completely.
Lao Fei shouted wildly, "It's useless, useless, useless..."
*Smack!* A foot, seemingly appearing out of nowhere, kicked Lao Fei in the face, sending him flying before he could even finish a complete sentence.
After somersaulting more than a dozen times in the air, Lao Fei finally regained his balance, and then his face swelled up.
Mo Ling patted the frost off his feet, rolled over and landed on Mo Fitter. Although he was a bit old, he wasn't so lazy that he couldn't move at all.
As expected, we couldn't beat them. Three against one, these guys went too far!
Lao Fei's face twitched twice. "Mo Ling, do you want to start a full-scale war?!"
"Don't misunderstand, I don't have the ability to invite two ancient elemental gods. You caused this mess yourself." Mo Ling smiled, finally able to kick Lao Fei without too many worries. He had been waiting for this day for far too long.
"Want to continue discussing?" Murphy sat up and asked. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have woken up in the middle of the night."
Laufee's eyes darted between Anivia and Murphy.
He memorized their faces deeply, then turned around and disappeared from their sight.
"Huh? What does he mean by this?" Murphy didn't know what to say. In his memory, no one had ever acted like this when discussing things, not even Anivia, the softest of the four elemental gods, would suddenly turn around and leave.
“Haven’t you had enough of being beaten yet?” Anivia said coldly. Her opinion of Laufey had plummeted to an all-time low, which also affected her opinion of the Frost Giants as a whole.
thump~
Murphy plopped down on the ground. "Halftime break, perfect, I can take a nap."
Anivia was at a loss for words. This was not the kind of halftime break that used to be. In the past, it would be when one of the elemental gods involved in the discussion suddenly had something to do, so the discussion would be paused. Anyway, they often fought for many years. But the situation with Rauf was obviously different. However, in Murphy's eyes, the two meant the same thing.
On the other side, Lauf pushed aside the guards and went straight into the library, which was the largest library in Jotunheim. If the relevant books were not here, they would not be found anywhere else.
Lao Fei had read most of the books here, but he only glanced at some of them, especially some history books, which he considered useless.
Yang Qiu also made some moves here, taking advantage of Lao Fei's notorious bias.
An ordinary, unremarkable book is like an introverted classmate with mediocre grades—no one will remember it.
