"No, no, I probably just didn't sleep well. I'll be fine after a rest." Volstagg realized he had done something wrong, scratched his head, and looked at Thor sideways.
Thor had a strange feeling that something was wrong, but he didn't know what it was; the cheers around him were just a bit jarring.
"okay!"
Odin shouted, and the cheers immediately stopped. Thor stood there, somewhat bewildered.
Loki, on the other hand, was secretly delighted, feeling that he was about to take another step forward.
“I’m sorry you saw this, gentlemen,” Odin said, leaning back in his chair.
"It's nothing, he's probably just nervous because of the sudden audience," Jax said, making an excuse for Vostagg.
"Yeah, yeah, it was a really good game," Olaf chimed in.
Dude! Shut up!
Jax really wanted to shove Olaf's axe into his mouth. Didn't he see Odin's face twitch every time Olaf spoke?
Give them some face!
Sigh… Jax let out a long sigh.
Just when Jax thought he was going to fail this time, Odin spoke again.
"Gentlemen, would you be interested in coming on stage to warm up?"
Olaf jumped up and exclaimed, "Great!"
Shut up! Sit back down!
Jax stared at Olaf until he sat back down in his seat.
"This isn't really appropriate, after all, we..."
"I'll agree to the loan if you can win one game."
Jax was speechless. Odin, are you serious? Thor right now, he could easily defeat him with one hand.
“And…” Odin looked at Jax and Olaf, “If you win one game, your loan will increase by fifty percent; if you win both games, your loan will double!”
"The boss is so generous!" Olaf jumped up.
Then, realizing he had gotten too excited, he quickly sat down.
“Of course, I also have a request: they need to see the outside world. No objections, right?” Odin continued.
Jax pondered for a few seconds, then stood up, took off his coat, and said, "Since you've put it that way, I'll gladly accept your offer."
The soldiers nearby immediately brought over a weapon rack, which was filled with all sorts of weapons, including firearms.
"no need."
Jax walked over to the decorative streetlights as he spoke.
If we're going to make a move, we need to be assertive enough and let these Asgardians see the power of Midgard now.
Jax pulled up the streetlight and chopped off both ends with a couple of quick snips.
Weapon Master's exclusive domain activated!
A weapon that is designated as a primary weapon by the Weapon Master will automatically be upgraded to a legendary item until it is abandoned by the Weapon Master.
Call ~
Jax swung the lamppost around, finding it fairly easy to handle, and then with a whoosh, jumped from the stands to the opposite side of Thor.
Chapter 151 Jax: Extraordinary Skill
Volstagg, with remarkable shrewdness, discreetly slipped away from the center of the arena, leaving Thor and Jax locked in a standoff.
“Uh…” Thor scratched his head. “I am Thor, the God of Thunder of Asgard!”
Cheers erupted all around him, and amidst the cheers, Olaf moved his position forward, making sure he could jump down at any moment to start the second round.
"Earth, Clock Tower, Weapon Master, Jax." Jax remained calm and unaffected by the cheers.
Woohoo!
Olaf waved his hands, effectively silencing the thousands of Asgardians.
Jax's lips twitched twice. He almost broke down because of his own teammate, Olaf, that idiot who wasn't afraid of social death!
"Earth... Midgard?" Thor thought for a moment before remembering what Earth represented. "Are there warriors in Midgard?"
Jax's face darkened; he had to teach Thor a lesson.
"Uh...no..." Thor realized he'd misspoke and quickly corrected himself, "I mean, there are capable warriors in Midgard too?!"
……
It seems one lesson isn't enough; we need at least two!
Whoosh! Jax lowered his body and beckoned to Thor as he swung the lamp in his hand.
"Enough talk, let's get started, Thor."
Jax's words were laced with sarcasm; Thor was far weaker than the Thunder God of the Celestial Court.
"Hmm...Are you sure you don't want to switch to a different weapon?"
Thor felt he was going to win unfairly, but Jax ignored him.
Thor had no choice but to raise his Mjolnir.
A bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, winding around Thor along Mjolnir.
Immediately afterwards, Thor's hammer was swung out, bringing with it a burst of lightning that surged toward Jax.
Jax stared indifferently at Thunder Dragon, his fingers twirling the lamppost once.
Just as the lightning reached Jax, the rotating streetlight pierced directly into the lightning dragon, stirring the entire dragon.
Guided by the streetlight, the Thunder Dragon circled once in the air. Jax flicked his wrist, added a little something, and flung the Thunder Dragon back the way it came.
Before the astonished Thor could react, he was sent flying by the Thunder Dragon.
Ahhh! Boom!
Thor, who underestimated his opponent, was pushed directly into the wall surrounding the arena.
Oh my gosh!
A cheer erupted in the arena, and amidst the cheers, an Asgardian nudged his companion.
"Didn't Thor get knocked away? Why is everyone cheering so enthusiastically?"
"Don't you think it's great?!" his companion shouted back. "And you don't really think the prince would lose to a Midgardian, do you? No way, no way! It's just a little accident!"
Whoosh! Thor sped out of the dust. He admitted that this Midgardian was skilled, but he was Thor, the God of Asgard! He wouldn't lose!
"I will uphold the glory of Asgard!" Thor shouted as he circled around Jax, bolts of lightning flying toward the stationary Jax.
Eh… Jax shook his head, a little disappointed in Thor.
Counterattack Storm!
In Jax's hands, a street lamp seemed to have the ability to multiply, its shadow appearing in any corner around Jax at any moment, ready to ignite any incoming lightning bolts.
Under Thor's repeated attacks, Jax seemed to have a constantly surging ball of lightning around him, and the energy flashing on this ball of lightning made the Asgardians in the stands involuntarily take a step back.
Counterattack Storm - Stage Two!
Jax paused, and the controlled lightning ball immediately disintegrated.
Clusters of violent energy rained down, and during this process, an ordinary street lamppost lashed out at them repeatedly.
Thor made an abrupt change of direction and flew erratically in the air, but Jax seemed to have a predictive ability, and every burst of energy accurately hit Thor in flight.
*Slap slap slap!* All the people saw was Thor twitching in the air, like a tennis ball being hit by countless rackets.
Ha! Jax fired the last energy ball, which traced a strange arc in the air and slammed Thor directly into the ground.
The surrounding arena was completely silent; this seemed to be no surprise…
Olaf wasn't surprised at all in the stands. His double axes could deflect Jax's attacks, let alone the attacks from that little Thor. Even Ryze wouldn't dare to throw spells carelessly in front of Jax; he'd be taught a lesson in no time.
Cough cough! Thor got up from the ground, feeling a little dizzy, but he wasn't hurt.
Jax only improved slightly at this point. His technique, strength, and attack power were not very good, but he was quite durable.
Aaaaaah! Thor grabbed Mjolnir and charged straight in. Since ranged attacks were useless, he decided to go for a real, hand-to-hand combat!
Olaf didn't even want to look at it anymore; it was another self-destructive move.
Just as he expected, the lamp in Jax's hand seemed to come alive, easily deflecting Thor's attacks each time, and then the lamp would strike Thor.
Thor, who wanted to engage in hand-to-hand combat, was completely immobilized after entering Jax's attack range. He was constantly being thrashed around without even a chance to catch his breath.
Crack! Boom! A massive burst of energy erupted from Thor's body, and surging lightning filled the entire sky.
Jax wanted to see what other tricks he had up his sleeve, so he retracted the streetlight and sent Thor into the sky.
The thunderclouds in the sky gathered more and more, and Thor's eyes turned purple, shining with the power of the god of thunder.
Jax below sighed again. Who taught him this? Guiding for so long when his strength was suppressed and he had no teammates?
He originally wanted to see Thor's ultimate move, but if he kept waiting like this, his IQ would be on the same level as Thor's.
Leaping slash!
Jax leaped up and smacked Thor on the head.
Ruthless strike!
Jax unleashed a full combo on the bewildered Thor, swinging the lamppost in his hand faster and faster.
They moved so fast they seemed to merge into one, looking as if countless streetlights were shining down on Thor.
A powerful strike is about to land!
Jax took a small step back, gathering all the shadows left by his previous attack into his weapon, and then slammed it down.
boom!
A large crack appeared in the arena floor, and Thor lay unconscious in the center. His Thor armor also cracked inch by inch under repeated blows, shattering into pieces.
