As they were talking, footsteps suddenly echoed down the corridor. Almost immediately afterward, Dumbledore pushed open the door and appeared before Fudge, Rufus Scrimgeour, and the others.

Upon seeing Dumbledore appear before him, Fudge immediately put on a smiling face, went to greet him, and said:

"Oh, Albus, it's good to see you. What brings you to the Ministry of Magic this time?"

In response to Fudge's question, Dumbledore replied calmly:

“I received Rufus’s letter, so I immediately Apparated over to see if the victims were the same guys who attacked me and my students that night.”

Having said that, Dumbledore ignored Fudge in front of him and walked straight to the center of the crowd, examining the corpses on the ground.

Seeing this, a hint of embarrassment flashed across Fudge's face, but he quickly concealed it. Then, Fudge casually walked to Dumbledore's side and said, feigning embarrassment:

"Albus, I'm very happy you could come, but this case is still under investigation, and for some reason, you can't be ruled out as a suspect, so I'm sorry, I'd like to ask you..."

However, before Fudge could finish speaking, Dumbledore interrupted him and said:

“Minister, I think you’ve got it wrong. I’m not here in a private capacity.”

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Fudge was taken aback and, somewhat confused, said:

"Albus, I don't quite understand what you mean."

Dumbledore looked at Fudge, and through Dumbledore's spectacles, Fudge felt as if Dumbledore could see right through him, which made him very uncomfortable. Dumbledore then continued:

“Minister, this is a serious matter that no longer concerns the Auror’s office. Now, I represent Wizengamor, because I am Wizengamor’s chief mage!”

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Fudge was momentarily stunned, but Dumbledore ignored the bewildered Fudge and instead turned to Rufus Scrimgeour, speaking to him:

“That’s right, Rufus, just like you said, these guys are the same group of wizard hunters who attacked me and my students before.”

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Rufus Scrimgeour first bowed to Dumbledore, then said in a neither humble nor arrogant manner:

"I'm sorry, Headmaster Dumbledore, please forgive my rudeness, but could you please tell me where you have been and what you have been doing since last night? Is there anyone who can testify on your behalf?"

Upon hearing Rufus Scrimgeour's question to Dumbledore, Fudge, who had been standing to the side in a daze, quickly came over and listened carefully.

Dumbledore seemed unconcerned by Rufus Scrimgeour's question, simply nodding slowly before speaking:

“After dinner last night, I returned to the headmaster’s office at Hogwarts and then summoned our Potions professor, Professor Snape, to commission him to create a special potion.”

"We talked for a long time, almost until late at night. After Professor Snape left, our Hogwarts Vice-Headmaster, Professor McGonagall, came to me to discuss teaching issues for the next period of time. I came over as soon as I received your owl."

Upon hearing Dumbledore's answer, Rufus Scrimgeour nodded noncommittally, then said:

"Thank you for your answer, Headmaster Dumbledore. If you don't mind, we will verify this with Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall later."

Dumbledore smiled and said without hesitation:

"Of course, I have no objection."

Just as Dumbledore was about to leave after the questioning was over, Rufus Scrimgeour suddenly spoke up and asked:

"So, Headmaster Dumbledore, where is your student Wentworth tonight?"

Chapter Ninety-Two: The Man Who Beats People and the Secret Passage

When Rufus Scrimgeour asked him a question, Dumbledore answered without changing his expression:

"Of course he's in his dormitory, Rufus. You know, Hogwarts students are strictly bound by the school's curfew rules."

Upon hearing Dumbledore's reply, Rufus Scrimgeour nodded noncommittally and then said nothing more.

Seeing that Rufus Scrimgeour was no longer asking questions, Dumbledore also stopped and strode outside.

Seeing Dumbledore turn and leave, Fudge quickly followed and moved closer to Dumbledore, seemingly wanting to explain something.

While Dumbledore kept nodding in agreement, he never stopped walking.

Seeing Dumbledore and Fudge leave at the same time, an Auror couldn't help but walk up to Rufus Scrimgeour and ask:

"Boss, do you think Dumbledore could be the murderer?"

Faced with his Auror subordinates' questioning, Rufus Scrimgeour remained silent for a long time before finally answering slowly:

"I don't know who the murderer is; ultimately, we'll have to find the answer ourselves."

At this point, Rufus Scrimgeour paused for a moment before continuing:

"But in my opinion, if Dumbledore really wanted to kill them, he could have done it without anyone noticing, without making things like this. The fact that they left the bodies at the entrance of our Ministry of Magic is more like a... provocation!"

As Rufus Scrimgeour finished speaking, silence fell over the Auror office.

But soon, a huge uproar swept through the entire magical world.

Almost overnight, all the wizards in Britain received news that a group of skilled wizard hunters had been wiped out in a single night.

Moreover, this group of wizard hunters had just rendered the Aurors of the British Ministry of Magic helpless not long ago, but in the blink of an eye, their corpses were neatly arranged at the entrance of the British Ministry of Magic.

There were even rumors that the person whose name could not be revealed had returned. This rumor immediately terrified the British magical world, especially many high-ranking pure-blood families, who lived in constant fear.

Even many dark wizards who usually hide in the shadows are trying to escape Britain by various means.

Several days later, another rumor began to circulate in Turndown Lane, claiming that the incident was actually the work of the long-disappeared UMNO party, but that's another story.

While the outside world was in turmoil, Hogwarts remained as calm and peaceful as ever.

After a long and anxious wait, Wentworth finally welcomed the weekend. Today was also the day that Dumbledore and Wentworth had agreed upon: the day Dumbledore would take him to meet his new teacher.

Early in the morning, Wentworth and Cedric went together to Dumbledore's office. Along the way, Cedric looked rather grim and seemed somewhat nervous.

Seeing this, Wentworth offered words of comfort:

"Don't worry, Cedric. Professor Lupin is a very good person and an excellent wizard."

Upon hearing Wentworth's words, Cedric asked in surprise:

"Do you know that werewolf?"

"do not know."

Wentworth answered very decisively.

"Then how do you know he's a good person?"

Cedric asked, puzzled.

Wentworth chuckled and replied mysteriously:

“Cedric, have you forgotten? I am the Prophet!”

As they spoke, the two arrived at the Headmaster's office at Hogwarts, where Dumbledore was already waiting for them.

"Oh, you're here really early, young men. Have you had breakfast yet? Would you like some honey pudding?"

Wentworth and Cedric both shook their heads, with Wentworth saying with particular concern:

"Headmaster Dumbledore, eating so many sweets over a long period of time is probably not good for your health!"

In response to Wentworth's concern, Dumbledore simply smiled kindly, then replied jokingly:

"Thank you, Wentworth, but for a man over a hundred years old, the most important thing is to be happy every day. And sweets can make people happy."

Upon hearing Dumbledore's response, Wentworth could only shake his head helplessly.

Then Wentworth and Cedric, led by Dumbledore, headed toward the Forbidden Forest of Hogwarts.

Seeing this, Wentworth couldn't help but wonder if Dumbledore had hidden Lupin in the Forbidden Forest. While it was true that Lupin's status made it inappropriate for him to be inside Hogwarts Castle, it seemed a bit excessive to leave him in the Forbidden Forest with wild beasts.

Of course, Wentworth was also a little excited. After so long since the start of the school year, there weren't many places Hogwarts hadn't visited, and the Forbidden Forest was one of them.

However, Dumbledore did not lead the two directly into the Forbidden Forest. Instead, he brought them to the edge of the forest, and as the three of them walked forward, a huge willow tree came into Wentworth and Cedric's view.

"That's... the 'Hit-and-Beat Willow'?"

Cedric said with some surprise.

Upon hearing Cedric call out the name of the willow tree, Wentworth suddenly realized what Dumbledore was thinking.

Sure enough, led by Dumbledore, the three of them arrived at the Willow of the Brawler. Dumbledore pressed a knot on the tree, and Wentworth and Cedric, who were watching from a distance, were surprised to find that the Willow of the Brawler, which had been somewhat irritable, instantly quieted down.

The two then rushed over and, guided by Dumbledore, discovered a hidden tunnel entrance at the base of the Willow of Men.

"I never imagined Hogwarts had a place like this!"

Seeing this, Cedric couldn't help but sigh.

Wentworth thought to himself: Hogwarts isn't as serious as you seem!

"Alright, kids, let's go down together!"

Dumbledore beckoned Wentworth and Cedric to enter the secret passage together. The three of them walked through the passage one by one, and Dumbledore said from the front:

"This secret passage leads all the way to the Screaming Shack in Hogsmeade Village. Your future teacher lives in Hogsmeade Village, and he teaches you in the Screaming Shack every weekend."

Hearing Dumbledore's words, Wentworth was alright, but Cedric stiffened, saying in disbelief:

"The Screaming Shelter? They say it's haunted!"

Dumbledore, upon hearing this, simply laughed and offered no explanation. However, after a moment, he added:

"You must remember this path. If you encounter any danger, immediately return to Hogwarts via this path. Don't worry about anything else. Do you understand?"

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Cedric and Wentworth exchanged bewildered glances. Ahead, the light of the exit was already visible.

Chapter Ninety-Three: Lupin the Werewolf

Wentworth and Cedric followed behind Dumbledore, and the three of them climbed out of the tunnel one by one. A dilapidated shack appeared before Wentworth.

Not far inside the shed, a figure stood with his back to the three, seemingly scrutinizing the shed.

"Remus!"

Dumbledore called out to the figure, who visibly paused, slowly turned around, and looked at Dumbledore.

"Headmaster Dumbledore, I'm sorry, I didn't notice you had arrived."

At this point, Lupin's gaze swept across the entire Screaming Shack, and he said with some emotion:

"It's been a long time since I've been here. Seeing this familiar scene always reminds me of the old days and the people from the past."
