Chapter 138 The First Meeting with Luna

As the banquet began, Wentworth, the new leader of the Malay Party, accompanied by Rozier and Abernathy, had a cordial conversation with the wizards present.

Basically, it was just Abernathy and Rozier introducing Wentworth to these Masonic wizards. After all, as leaders, they couldn't possibly not even recognize all their own subordinates, could they?

It must be said that the Greengrass family, as one of the Twenty-Eight Holy Families of England, does have some merit, while the Weasley family is an exception.

The lavishness of the dishes at the banquet was in no way inferior to the Hogwarts opening dinner.

After finally meeting all the wizards present, Wentworth was quite hungry.

Just as Wentworth was devouring his food, a blonde girl walked over.

At first, Wentworth assumed she was the child of a UMNO member, as he had seen many such cases that evening. But then the girl walked up to Wentworth and suddenly spoke:

"Hello, Wentworth Grindelwald, my name is Luna Lovegood."

Upon hearing the other person's self-introduction, Wentworth nearly spat out what was in his mouth.

Luna? How did Luna end up here? But considering that Cedric could join the Musikverein, Wentworth thought Luna's presence here wasn't entirely unacceptable.

After seeing Wentworth finally manage to swallow what was in his mouth, Luna suddenly spoke up:

"You adapt very quickly!"

"what?"

Wentworth was puzzled, unsure what Luna was referring to.

Luna pointed to the spot where Wentworth had been standing and said:

"You were nervous at first, but in the end, you seemed to have completely adapted and even seemed to be enjoying it."

Hearing Luna's words, Wentworth was silent for a moment, then a slight smile appeared on his lips as he said:

"Yes, you're right, I'm starting to like this feeling! It's like a fine wine, the more you drink, the more intoxicating it becomes."

Luna tilted her head, sized up Wentworth for a moment, and then suddenly spoke again:

“My father said that everyone here is a dark wizard, and you are their leader, so he told me to stay away from you.”

Hearing Luna's blunt words, Wentworth couldn't help but smile wryly. He glanced at Xenophilius Lovegood, who was searching for Luna everywhere, and slowly said:

"Sometimes, our appearance is determined by others. But it is very important that we remember what kind of person we are."

Hearing Wentworth's answer, Luna seemed somewhat puzzled. After thinking for a while, Luna asked again:

"So what kind of person are you?"

Wentworth gazed into the distance, where many wizards he hadn't seen in a long time were joyfully exchanging heartfelt words. Without turning his head, Wentworth said to Luna:

"I thought I was a tourist, and this was just a journey with no end in sight. But unexpectedly, I suddenly found home halfway through."

Luna seemed to want to say something more, but just then, Xenophilius Lovegood finally came over, nervously looking Wentworth up and down, and took Luna's hand, leading her away.

After Luna left, Rozier slowly walked over and looked at Luna's retreating figure, saying:

“I’ve heard Abernathy mention their family. This little girl is interesting. Once she goes to Hogwarts, she might become another Cassandra?”

Upon hearing Rozier's words, Wentworth seemed to just remember something, quickly put down the small cake in his hand, and asked Rozier:

"Has the British Ministry of Magic made any moves?"

Upon hearing Wentworth's question, Rozier immediately gave Wentworth an approving look and said:

"Wentworth, it's really, really good that you thought of that!"

Wentworth: ? ? ? What the heck? ? ?

Unaware of the bewilderment beneath Wentworth's calm expression, Rozier continued:

"Don't worry, Wentworth. We have people specifically assigned to keep an eye on the British Ministry of Magic. If they take any action, we will definitely find out. There will absolutely not be a situation where our witchcraft party is gathered here and we are wiped out by the other side."

"Moreover, unless the other side is an idiot, they would never make the decision to attack here at this time. After all, all the elite wizards of the British Sorcerer Party are here. The Aurors from the British Ministry of Magic alone would definitely not be able to return!"

Hearing Rozier's words, Wentworth knew that Rozier had misunderstood him, but Wentworth did not intend to correct him. Instead, he continued to ask:

"Does the British Ministry of Magic have any news about Thomas Revol, the former head of the Auror office?"

Upon hearing Wentworth's question, Rozier recalled for a moment before slowly shaking his head and saying:

"No, at least our people haven't seen him at the British Ministry of Magic. What happened?"

In response to Rozier's question, Wentworth slowly pulled out the invitation Cassandra had given him from his pocket and explained:

“Cassandra said her father had returned home safely, and to celebrate his safe return, Cassandra decided to hold a banquet at their family estate in two days.”

Upon hearing Wentworth's explanation, Rozier solemnly took the invitation from Wentworth's hand, examined it carefully, but found nothing unusual.

But Rozier still said:

“Wentworth, I think there might be something wrong here.”

Wentworth nodded in agreement, saying:

“That’s right. If Cassandra’s father hasn’t returned to the British Ministry of Magic for a long time, then there must be something strange going on! I just wonder what role Cassandra is playing in all of this?”

"Has Thomas Revol really returned? And is it really Thomas Revol who has returned?"

Seeing Wentworth seemingly lost in thought, Rozier patted Wentworth on the shoulder and said casually:

"Wentworth, your thinking still hasn't changed!"

Seeing the puzzled look on Wentworth's face, Rozier continued with a smile:

“Wentworth, you need to understand that you are not alone. Behind you is the entire Bastard Party, waiting to serve you! Since you want to know if Thomas Revol has really returned, it's simple, just send someone to check!”

Then, before Wentworth could react, Rozier waved Abernathy over and told him about their conversation.

After hearing this, Abernathy said to Wentworth:

"In that case, I'll go there myself and see if Thomas Revol has returned. If he has, then is it really him who has returned?"

After Abernathy finished speaking, he turned to leave, but Wentworth stopped him.

“Grandpa Abernathy, you must be careful. Thomas Revol was, after all, the head of the Auror Office of the British Ministry of Magic. His manor is probably not so easy to raid.”

Wentworth said with great concern.

Rozier, standing to the side, smiled and comforted him:

"Don't worry, you're underestimating Abernathy! Abernathy's a professional at this kind of thing! Back then, he pulled off a switcheroo with his master under the watchful eyes of countless Aurors at the Magical Congress of America!"

Abernathy smiled and said somewhat dismissively:

"Don't worry, I'm just the head of the Auror office at the British Ministry of Magic. If I wanted to, I might be the president of the Magical Congress of the United States."

Despite this, at Wentworth's repeated insistence, Abernathy once again summoned several more Muscat wizards as backup.

After Abernathy left, the fraternal Christmas party continued until nightfall, when the fraternal wizards left in batches.

Of course, some wizards who lived far away also chose to stay overnight at the Greengrass family's manor.

Considering that Abernathy had not yet returned, Wentworth, on Rozier's advice, also chose to stay overnight at Greengrass's family estate.

Because he was worried about the situation in Abnersey, Wentworth couldn't fall asleep for a long time. Instead, he was looking through a notebook that someone had placed at his feet earlier that day. It contained a lot of knowledge about spells.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Wentworth thought it was Abernathy returning and hurried to open the door. But as soon as he opened the door, he found a little girl dressed in Lolita fashion standing in the doorway, holding a tray in her hand.

"What's wrong, Astoria, so late?"

Indeed, the person who arrived was none other than Astoria Greengrass, the youngest child of the Greengrass family.

Astoria nervously raised the tray in her hand and said to Wentworth:

"My brother sent me to bring you some sherry juice soda."

Upon seeing this, Wentworth frowned instinctively. He knew perfectly well what Austin Greengrass was up to.

Of course, it's not that Austin Greengrass is trying to push his sister into a fire pit. After all, Wentworth is not yet twelve years old and cannot do anything too outrageous.

However, it's certain that they'll want to take this opportunity to use Astoria to increase their favorability.

Even so, Wentworth couldn't directly reprimand him. Although he hadn't experienced it himself, Wentworth knew that for a superior, managing relationships with subordinates was a complex art.

Wentworth then put on a smile, took the tray from Astoria with both hands, and instead of letting Astoria into his room, said with a smile:

"Thank you, Astoria. Please also tell Austin that the banquet today was very well prepared, and I am very satisfied. Under his leadership, the Greengrass family will surely have a bright future!"

Upon hearing Wentworth's words, Astoria seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, then pinched the hem of her clothes, bowed to Wentworth, and quickly ran away.

Wentworth watched Astoria's figure disappear at the end of the corridor, and just as he was about to close the door, the door next to him suddenly opened, revealing Rozier's amused smile.

"Grandma Rozier, you're still up? Would you like to have some sherry juice soda with me?"

Wentworth gave an awkward laugh, then gestured to Rozier.

Rozier waved his hand, his words carrying a deeper meaning:

"No, this is something for young people like you. It's obvious that this was specially prepared for you! Austin Greengrass really went all out to impress you, not only covering all the expenses of this banquet by himself, but also having his own sister bring you drinks late at night!"

Wentworth blushed slightly at Rozier's words and was about to explain when he saw Rozier's smile fade, and he said somewhat seriously:

"But Wentworth, remember this: never let anyone else's voice drown out yours. In the Mughal Party, only one person can speak out, and that person's surname is Grindelwald!"

Upon hearing Rozier's words, Wentworth knew that Rozier was teaching him how to become a true leader, so Wentworth nodded repeatedly to indicate that he understood.

Just then, footsteps sounded again from the end of the corridor. Hearing that someone was coming so late, Rozier frowned subconsciously, but the next second, Abernathy appeared at the corner of the corridor.

"Grandpa Abernathy!"

Upon seeing this, Wentworth instinctively tried to walk toward Abernathy, but Rozier stopped him midway.

“Wentworth, how can you be so sure this person is Abernathy?”

Upon hearing Rozier's words, Abernathy, who was walking towards Wentworth, stopped in his tracks with a hint of resignation, then raised his hands and urged:

"Rozier, hurry up! I still need to report today's results to Wentworth!"
