“Wentworth, this is my father!”
Seeing this, Wentworth waved for Austin to release the man in his arms, and Rozier and the others turned around and left together in perfect unison.
Cedric, who was in the distance, wanted to come over and say something, but Green beside him pulled him back.
"This is a matter between the two of them, let them handle it themselves. You have to trust Wentworth, he's from Hufflepuff."
"Green said to Cedric."
Cassandra stood somewhat timidly in front of Wentworth, seemingly afraid to look him in the eye.
At this moment, Cassandra's father, Thomas Revol, spoke up:
“Wentworth Grindelwald? I know you. All of Cassandra did this because of her useless father. Please forgive her. If someone has to pay the price, I think it should be me!”
Upon hearing Thomas Revol's words, Cassandra immediately panicked.
"Father……"
But before Cassandra could finish speaking, her father stopped her with a gesture.
At this moment, Wentworth spoke up:
"Cassandra, why don't you help your father to sit down and rest for a while?"
Upon hearing Wentworth's words, Cassandra slowly nodded, then helped Thomas Revol to a corner of the hall to sit down, poured her father a glass of water, and then returned to Wentworth's side.
Walking up to Wentworth, Cassandra said cautiously:
"Based on the message on your origami crane, I responded by placing a flying broom at the door as a reminder. I didn't mean to harm you, but who knew you would still come in."
Hearing Cassandra's words, Wentworth smiled slightly and said:
“If I were just Grindelwald, I should leave and let our sorcerers raze this manor to the ground with magic.”
“But I am Wentworth first, and Grindelwald second. My classmate is here, and I have a duty to come in and save her.”
Upon hearing Wentworth's answer, Cassandra trembled slightly, then said with tears welling in her eyes:
"why?"
Wentworth, however, dismissed the comment, saying:
"Why? Because I'm from Hufflepuff!"
Cassandra: "...What would you have done if I hadn't left the flying broom by the door?"
When Cassandra asked him a question, Wentworth's smile faded as he replied:
“Then I will come in too, but I will follow behind the so-called shamans of the shamans. As for what will happen inside, that is not my concern.”
Having received the answer, Cassandra remained silent for a long time, then bowed very respectfully to Wentworth and said:
"Thank you."
In response to Cassandra's thanks, Wentworth waved his hand dismissively and said:
"No need. Just like you said, you didn't really want to harm me. You just wanted to save your father. If I were you, I might make the same choice. You should spend more time with your father."
After saying that, Wentworth patted Cassandra on the shoulder and turned to leave.
But after taking only a few steps, Wentworth stopped and turned to Cassandra, saying:
"I'm really not used to your pitiful look. I still prefer your proud self!"
After saying that, Wentworth walked out without looking back, while Cassandra burst out laughing.
After laughing, Cassandra turned and walked back to Thomas Revo's side, but unexpectedly, Thomas Revo's first words were:
"Cassandra, stay away from him from now on!"
"Why?!"
Cassandra asked her father, her face filled with shock and confusion.
Thomas Revol, however, said with a dejected expression:
"After this incident, I realized that nothing is more important than our family being able to live together safely."
Hearing her father's words, Cassandra remained silent for a moment, then said to Thomas Revol expressionlessly:
"Father, you're getting old. Don't forget, I'm a Slytherin!"
"I'm a Slytherin too, so what?"
Thomas Revol asked with a puzzled look.
Cassandra then said, word by word:
"As a Slytherin, you either become great or follow the great!"
Upon hearing Cassandra's words, Thomas Revol stood up abruptly, his anger blazing as he said:
"You think he's great? He's just a dark wizard!"
Facing Thomas Revol's rage, Cassandra remained unfazed, looking directly into her father's eyes and saying:
"This is the dark wizard you're talking about; he just saved you and your daughter today!"
Upon hearing Cassandra's words, Thomas Revol immediately lost his temper, but still managed to say something:
"Cassandra, you'd better think this through. He's the leader of the Sorcerer Party, and his future is destined to stir up a storm in the wizarding world!"
Hearing her father's words, Cassandra turned to look in the direction Wentworth had left, and said:
"No, you're wrong, Father. He doesn't stir up the storm; he is the storm!"
"And I, I willingly become a ray of light in that storm!"
Hearing Cassandra's answer, Thomas Revol, knowing his daughter's temperament well, knew he could no longer persuade the determined Cassandra. He seemed deflated, slumping back into his chair, his face full of resentment, and said:
"Why? I want to know why you did this, Kassandra? Just because his last name is Grindelwald?"
Cassandra turned to look at her father, slowly shook her head, and said gently:
“No, because his name is Wentworth! Grindelwald’s name once resounded throughout Europe and America, but that wasn’t enough to impress me. I choose to follow him simply because his name is Wentworth Grindelwald!”
"I believe that one day, Grindelwald's name will resound throughout the world again, only this time, it will be in the name of Wentworth Grindelwald!"
Meanwhile, Wentworth had already walked out of the gates of Revol Manor, and Christine and her wizards had also disappeared.
Wentworth looked up at the fairly bright sunshine and couldn't help but stretch. Just then, Cedric and Green walked over. Seeing his two friends standing beside him, Wentworth suddenly felt a pang of longing for Hogwarts.
Chapter 153 Returning to School
After returning from Cassandra's manor, Wentworth spent a few days relaxing. Originally, Wentworth wanted Rozier and Abernathy to continue teaching him magic, but Rozier refused.
“Wentworth, we have all seen your hard work and we know that you have a lot on your shoulders. But a few more days won’t make a difference. I would prefer that you do more of what people your age should do and take a rest these few days.”
Rozier spoke earnestly to Wentworth.
So Wentworth took a rare few days off at home, but on the night before he was to return to Hogwarts, he knocked on Rozier's door.
"Wentworth? What brings you here?"
As they spoke, Rozier welcomed Wentworth into his home and poured him a glass of honey lemonade.
"I'm packing my things. We'll take the Hogwarts Express back to Hogwarts together tomorrow. Have you packed everything?"
Rozier asked.
Wentworth remained silent in response to Rozier's question.
Seeing this, Rozier put down the clothes he was holding, sat down next to Wentworth, and asked softly:
"What happened, Wentworth? Don't you want to go back to Hogwarts?"
When Rozier asked him the question, Wentworth remained silent for a moment before slowly shaking his head and explaining:
"Grandma Rosier, I hope you won't come back to Hogwarts with me! Just find some excuse to resign from your position as professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts."
Faced with Wentworth's request, Rozier was taken aback at first, then said with a smile:
"What's wrong with you, Wentworth? Oh, I know, is it because of the rumor about Voldemort's curse on this position? Don't worry, that's just hearsay, there's no way there could be such a curse!"
Wentworth waved his hand, indicating that wasn't what he meant. After thinking for a moment, Wentworth explained:
"Grandma Rozier, not long ago, I saw a glimpse of the future in my dream. The professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts next semester might be in serious trouble, and it seems to be related to Voldemort's return!"
Before Wentworth could finish speaking, Rozier interrupted:
"So, you're still worried about me. Since the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is changing next semester, something must have happened to me, right? Don't worry, Wentworth, I'm not so easily defeated!"
Unexpectedly, Wentworth looked into Rozier's eyes and slowly began to speak:
"Of course I know your abilities, Grandma Rosier. I was just afraid you would change the outcome, which is why I wanted you to leave Hogwarts!"
Rozier looked slightly puzzled by Wentworth's request.
Wentworth then went on to say:
“Grandma Rosier, I hope Voldemort returns to England, or even appears before Dumbledore. That would be best! Because if Dumbledore knows that Voldemort is back, then I will actually be safe at Hogwarts.”
"I don't think that even with Dumbledore's power, he would fight against both the Death Eaters and the Mafia at the same time!"
Upon hearing Wentworth's words, Rozier's face first showed a hint of excitement, but then a touch of感慨 (gǎnkǎi, a complex emotion encompassing admiration, regret, and a sense of awe), as he said:
"Wentworth, thank you for your hard work. If the master hadn't been away, we wouldn't have needed to go through all this trouble! If anyone voices object, then beat them into submission! But now, all the pressure is on your shoulders!"
Wentworth just smiled and said nonchalantly:
“It’s alright. If you want to wear the crown, you must bear its weight! And I believe that it won’t be long before I can do what my grandfather did.”
Hearing Wentworth's words, Rozier nodded emphatically.
So the next day, Wentworth went alone to Platform 9¾ in London, where he met up with Cedric and Green. The three of them then took the Hogwarts Express back to Hogwarts.
On the train, when Hogwarts and Green heard that Rosier would not be returning to Hogwarts to become the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, they both expressed great regret.
After all, Rozier, a wizard with decades of practical experience and a high level of skill in dark magic, could greatly benefit a group of teenagers by teaching them even just a single sentence or a small spell technique.
Of all the people there, Green was the most frustrated. Now that both of them had joined the Mafia, Green felt that if a Mafia leader could become a professor at Hogwarts, Hufflepuff's chances of winning the House Cup would undoubtedly increase significantly.
After all, Hufflepuff did a lot of work in Defense Against the Dark Arts last semester, just like Slytherins did in Snape's Potions class.
