Name: [Three-Part Crystallization]
Description: A special material that helps evolve rare weapons. Collect three to synthesize a Honkai Crystal.
(An aggregate of Honkai energy, extremely rare)
"Honkai energy! It's that stuff again!" Yae Ji narrowed his eyes, shifting his gaze to the shattered crystal.
(Within the exquisitely beautiful fragmented crystals lies a negligible amount of Honkai energy.)
What is the relationship between these two things? Yae Ji was unsure of what to do.
If that's the case, then what he obtained from the Grand Assistant last time was a complete Honkai Crystal, which Sakura Blizzard absorbed and used to evolve. Because the weapon's strength drops to zero after evolution, special materials are needed to push it to its limit before it can absorb another crystal to complete the evolution.
That's roughly the idea, Yae Kiyoshi thought.
But how come such dangerous things are everywhere?
"No~"
Hearing someone groaning from the direction of the big tree, Yaeji quickly dealt with the scene and came to the side of the three unconscious people.
Just as Yae Ji walked over, the boy with the broken left arm woke up first.
"hiss--"
The pain from the fracture was transmitted to the central nervous system the moment the boy regained consciousness; this excruciating sensation was probably a first for him.
"Your left arm is fractured. If you don't use a splint to stabilize it, there's a high chance that your hand will become deformed in the future."
A clear, melodious voice entered the boy's ears, and he subconsciously looked up in the direction from which the voice came.
What first captivated the boy was those incredibly eerie eyes. The blue-purple hues were even more dazzling than the crystals on the demon's body.
Above it were a pair of eyebrows with a sword-like charm, adding a touch of special heroism to the pretty girl.
Her pink, ear-length bob makes her look crisp and neat, her fair skin is as smooth as mutton fat jade, and her thin lips under her high nose bridge are like the white tip of a cherry blossom, the transition is very natural.
The young man didn't know what adjective to use. He had seen many girls raised by the major clans in Longcheng. Even if they were comparable in beauty, the lively spirit brought by their blend of strength and gentleness was something that those major clans couldn't cultivate.
It must be said that the rapidly beating heart and surging blood in his chest proved that the boy was smitten with the girl in front of him, so much so that he temporarily forgot the nerve pain caused by the broken bone.
The initial fleeting glimpse was far less stunning than the appreciation that comes from careful savoring.
Yae Ji raised an eyebrow, wondering if the child had damaged his brain from the fall. Why did he blush so much whenever he saw him, his face as red as a monkey's bottom?
"Hello~"
"Hey~" Yae Ji waved her hand in front of him, "Doesn't your hand hurt anymore?"
"Well?!"
The boy realized what was happening and immediately looked away. His face quickly cooled down as the pain from the fracture began to assault his central nervous system again.
This time, however, the boy held back from making a sound and instead gave Yae Ji a strong smile, like someone who had been constipated for a long time and couldn't poop.
"If it doesn't hurt anymore, it means the nerve is very likely dead. I suggest you have it amputated."
The clear and beautiful sound rang out again, giving the boy the illusion of being bathed in a spring breeze, and he nodded silently.
Yae Ji looked at the boy with admiration and asked again, "Do you really want an amputation?"
nod.
Do you need my help?
nod.
"Alright." Yae Ji drew a katana forged from stone ore from his waist. As for Sakura Fubuki, he had already tossed it into his backpack.
With a sharp "swoosh," the blade, gleaming coldly in the sunlight, snapped the boy out of his reverie, causing him to involuntarily shiver.
"Hey, what are you trying to do?"
Yae Ji raised the knife, looking at him strangely, "Didn't you just ask me to amputate your limb?"
"Amputation? What amputation?" The boy looked completely bewildered. "Let's put down our weapons and talk things out. I didn't say I wanted an amputation!"
Yae Ji shook his head. He thought this person had gone insane. The half-baked knowledge he had learned in the dream had finally found a target to exploit. This experiment could also lay the foundation for treating Rin in the future.
The blade was aimed at the boy's broken arm, and the general location was glanced at.
"stop!"
After the explanation, Yaeji silently put away his knife, seemingly unaware of anything amiss.
"So you were nodding because you saw me staring at you so intently?"
The boy nodded frantically.
Yae Ji said doubtfully, "I think it's because the nerves in your arm are necrotic, which is causing your nerves to be disturbed. In my opinion, we should amputate it."
"No, no, no! You've got it all wrong!"
"Hmph~"
The short swordsman who was unconscious next to the boy let out a muffled groan. Yaeji glanced at him and said, "He'll wake up soon. You guys discuss it yourselves."
After saying that, Yaeji walked away without looking back.
As a child, he received countless praises from the village. Almost every villager who met him would praise him as "cute", "beautiful", or "handsome".
Ever since his father announced Yaejiro as the next head priest, the villagers have used a different word to describe him, such as "handsome".
Yae Kichi knew he looked remarkably like his mother, a boy with feminine features. However, he still didn't believe it could bewitch someone. He remained convinced it was a hallucination caused by nerve necrosis, and that person should follow his advice and undergo amputation immediately.
Yae Ki sat down next to Sakura and asked, "Would you like some water?"
Sakura and Rin shook their heads at the same time, then stared at their older brother.
Yae Ji touched her face in confusion, "What's on my face?"
Both little girls shook their heads at the same time.
Yae-ji felt completely bewildered.
"Brother," Sakura tugged at his sleeve and asked softly, "What did you and that person talk about?"
"I thought his arm was necrotic and should be amputated, but he..."
Sakura and Rin listened to Yae Ji's long-winded explanation from another world with completely bewildered expressions, because this was not what they wanted to hear at all!
On the other side, the short swordsman was kneeling on the ground, begging for forgiveness.
"It's alright, anyway, that monster was killed by the shrine maiden. Come and take a look at my arm, I feel like it's broken," the boy said weakly.
The short swordsman raised his head and said seriously, "Sir, every generation of shrine maidens at Yae Shrine is skilled in healing. Shall I invite her over for you?"
Chapter Fifty-Six: Innocence and Innocence
The boy's face darkened. "Why did you bring him here? To amputate his leg?"
"No need, just help me reset it and then find something to hold it in place."
The short swordsman paused for a moment, then said respectfully, "My apologies, sir."
The boy glanced in Yaeji's direction, enduring the pain and trying his best not to scream.
The short swordsman flattered him, saying, "Sir, you have such willpower at such a young age; you are destined for greatness!"
The boy nodded, then glanced at Yae Ji, only to find that the other's attention was not on him at all, and a sense of disappointment welled up in his heart.
These subtle movements were all observed by the short swordsman.
The short swordsman chopped down several tree branches with his knife, then tore off pieces of cloth from the corpse, wrapped them into long strips, and fixed them to the boy's broken left arm.
"My lord, the conditions are poor, and I am not knowledgeable in medicine. Why not let the shrine maiden of Yae Shrine take a look at you?"
"Take a look?" The boy's expression changed again, with sounds of amputation and other such things surrounding him. "Forget it, we'll find a doctor in the city. No need to bother them."
"Yes!" The short swordsman bowed, his mind seemingly wandering, knowing that he had just made a fool of himself by flattering the wrong person.
Did something happen between the adult and the priestess while he was unconscious?
'I woke up at the worst possible time!'
The boy sitting under the big tree was obviously unaware of the short swordsman's thoughts. He moved his fractured left arm, but another wave of pain hit him, so he had to give up.
The boy touched his clothes with his right hand, and his expression changed drastically—the item was gone!
His eyes widened as he scanned his surroundings.
"Koizumi!" the boy said urgently, "Go and search the surrounding area for the goods we've transported this time."
The short swordsman named Koizumi's expression also changed drastically, and he quickly accepted the order to search the surrounding area.
Before long, another unconscious cavalryman woke up and joined Koizumi's team, beginning to search for the goods being transported in the dead forest.
Not far away, Yae Sakura tugged at Yae Ji's sleeve again and whispered, "Brother, when are we leaving?"
Yae Ji glanced at Rin before replying, "That man is a big shot in Longcheng. We can rely on him to find a skilled physician."
Sakura stopped talking; Yae's reasoning had completely moved her.
Rin stood to the side with her head down, lost in thought.
More than ten minutes later, Koizumi and the cavalryman, both covered in sweat, reported to the boy:
"My lord, we've searched the area around the battlefield, but we still haven't found it."
The young man frowned. He knew the importance of this shipment. Although he, as the young lord of Longcheng, wouldn't be punished for losing a shipment, those goods belonged to Westerners! Who knew what kind of trouble they might cause?
"My lord," the last remaining cavalryman in the entire force said cautiously, "they haven't been searched yet, should we..."
The boy glared at him, then turned to the short swordsman, "Koizumi, go ask him, but be sure to be polite."
"Yes."
"Black box? What black box?" Yae Ji looked blank. "I just smashed the crystal on the wolf demon's body. That was my trophy."
Koizumi smiled obsequiously, "Your Highness, you've misunderstood. I just wanted to ask a question, since that shipment is very important to us."
Yae Ji rolled her eyes. "Who knows what black box it is? You guys ran so fast when you escaped, maybe it fell somewhere."
"Yes, yes, you are right."
