She held her phone screen up to Yuuyo Mirai's eyes, and there it was—a news article:

Heinous Murder Case: Six People Brutally Murdered Late Last Night; Bodies in a Horrible Manner.

Besides the blurred images of the corpses, the article also introduced the identities of the deceased, who were the same people that Izayoi Mirai killed last night.

"Then congratulations, sister." Yushou Mirai smiled. Although such things wouldn't disappear in the future, he was now qualified to protect his sister in the darkness.

“By the way, let’s change the manager,” Izayoi Mirai suggested. “That guy is probably in cahoots with that old bastard.”

He originally intended to take care of that agent yesterday, but he lived too far away and could only travel by prying open bicycles on the roadside. Even after kicking the bicycle to pieces, he only managed to kill six people. Not to mention a bunch of editors who lived in other cities and escaped with their lives because of the distance.

"Of course I know that!" Miku puffed out her cheeks. "I'm the older sister, don't talk to me like a brother lecturing his younger sister!"

"Twin siblings are basically no different from each other, right? The difference is only a few minutes."

"Today I'm going to show you the power and authority of an older sister!"

Miku rushed forward and pinned Izayoi Mirai down on her back.

Soon, several days passed, and to Mirai's surprise, the police had not come even once.

Even if there's no suspicion, they couldn't possibly only come once, right? You know, Miku is arguably the cause of this case. Even if they suspect them of harboring a fugitive, they should at least come and take a look once or twice, right?

It wasn't that Yosuke Mirai was hoping the police would come; it was just that today was his last day at home. If the police came after he left, it would undoubtedly amplify the suspicion, because he simply couldn't explain where he had gone.

Isn't this exactly the same method used by criminal suspects?

Ding-dong-

Doorbell rang.

When Izayoi Mirai opened the door, she was stunned. Standing in front of her were the two police officers who had visited before, as well as a rather young girl.

She had short white hair, a pretty and delicate face, and an expressionless face like a doll.

Those were characters I had seen in works before.

—Origami Tobiichi.

However, he skillfully concealed his expression and looked at Inspector Megure with a puzzled expression: "Is this also a colleague of the officer? Isn't he a bit too young?"

“No, she’s helping us with the inspection.” Inspector Megure looked a little nervous. “Yes, it’s a very special testing device that only authorized personnel can use. We’ve already obtained the search warrant, so please cooperate.”

“Okay.” Izayoi Mirai nodded and stepped back.

Origami Tobiichi remained silent, carrying a strange testing device in her hand. She first waved it around Mirai Izayoi, and after seeing no reaction, she walked straight into the house.

Is it suspected that the elves were behind this?

Yoyo Mirai smiled silently.

While writing this chapter, I realized why I was so insistent on making Izayoi Miku the older sister. (Lost in thought)

Chapter 1, First Mission

The test results naturally found nothing, and Inspector Megure expressed that there was "no suspicion" and "I won't come back again," so Mirai Izayoi could finally leave with peace of mind.

But before that, he had to leave a letter for Miku. He had wanted to tell Miku this several times before, but he couldn't bring himself to say it. He thought he might as well leave a letter and hoped that she would not be angry when he came back.

If he can come back.

Miku went to the company to clarify matters. Yoyo Mirai helped her prepare dinner, wrote a note and placed it on the table. Returning to her room, after confirming nothing was missing, she said to the system:

"Let's begin."

"Teleportation initiated."

The system's mechanical voice rang in his ears. There were no special effects. After a rollercoaster-like shift in time and space, he appeared at a street corner. The sky was pitch black, the starlight was extremely faint, and the streetlights cast long shadows of him.

Is this another world? Izayoi Mirai glanced at it, a chill running down her spine.

"Ah-"

He sneezed, hugged his shoulders, and shivered from the cold.

Izayoi Mirai finally realized her mistake. In order to cope with the possibility of appearing in a harsh environment, she brought food, water, medicine, flashlight and so on in her personal space. She even brought a few doses of adrenaline, but she didn't bring a cotton coat.

Am I going to freeze to death here?

Yushou Future trembled with fear.

"Time travel complete. Current world: Type-Moon. Current time: January 28, 2004."

Main quest: Win the Fifth Holy Grail War.

Encountering this kind of cliché that has been overused in fanfiction, Izayoi Mirai didn't feel any excitement, because his current strength was really low, and without a Servant, he most likely didn't have magical talent.

Needless to say, given the current situation, he will either freeze to death on the street tomorrow, or he will faint and be taken to the hospital by kind people, receive IV drips for a few days, and then lie in bed for the next seven days.

"System, what will happen if I fail to complete the task?"

"Nothing will happen, but the teleportation function can only be activated after the mission is completed."

The implication is that if he doesn't complete the mission, he will have to stay in this world forever and say goodbye to his sister.

Perhaps he should have left a will.

The cold wind blew, like ice blades scraping his bones, sweeping over his entire body and mind.

Should we give up? Escape Fuyuki City and eke out a living in this world, or—

After a long silence, he exhaled a breath of air filled with the smell of ice crystals: "I'll get that broken cup."

There's no need to complain. The system just helped him solve the most important problem two days ago. Complaining now would be too ungrateful. Besides, he can't even get a broken cup. If he faces that first spirit who is suspected to be Jehovah in the future, he will die anyway. It's just that he'll die a few months earlier now.

He moved his legs, which were almost numb from the cold, and walked in a random direction. His immediate priority was to ask someone for directions. Asking someone to take a stranger home was a bit unreasonable, but asking where the hospital was was a perfectly reasonable request.

Generally, hospitals have staff on duty. Presumably, the doctor on duty wouldn't mind letting someone who's almost frozen to death bask in the warmth of the heating. After all, it's the middle of the night, and it's nice to keep them company and chat with them.

However, it was probably because it was the dead of winter and people were reluctant to go out at night, or perhaps the nights here were not very peaceful. Even though Yushou Mirai was so cold that she couldn't feel anything, she still didn't encounter a single person.

When he turned another corner, he finally encountered the first living person he had ever seen since he came into this world.

Unfortunately, the living person was lying on the ground and was about to die.

In the dim light, a cloak, indistinguishable in purple or black, wrapped the person, beneath whom lay a large pool of blood.

Murder case?

This was the first thing that came to mind for Yoyo Mirai's somewhat fuzzy brain, but she vaguely remembered that this seemed to be a key figure. Suppressing the urge to turn around and run away, she walked over.

After he crouched down and touched the person's body, a strange heat spread out. Although it didn't warm him up, he could at least feel that the person's body was warm.

Despite being only slightly more warmly dressed than him, her body temperature was unexpectedly normal, which made Yushou Mirai feel very strange. However, this also caused the wounds on her body to continue to heal, and blood continued to seep through her clothes.

Yoyo Mirai lifted her cloak and pulled open the clothes underneath.

Suddenly, a dazzling expanse of snow-white skin appeared before him, along with its beautiful curves.

However, Yosuke Mirai had no romantic thoughts. Anyone who saw the girl with half her body covered in blood and a long wound wouldn't have any strange thoughts, not to mention that he was almost frozen to death and would probably freeze to death if he dared to take it out.

"Identity confirmed, it should be Medea, the Caster of this Holy Grail War." Looking at those elfin-like pointed ears and that iconic purple robe, Izayoi Mirai recognized the injured person's identity.

"For a good-for-nothing like me who can't remember spells or draw magic circles, this is probably the only Servant I can obtain." With trembling hands, he took out Yunnan Baiyao powder from his personal space, sprinkled it on Medea's wounds, and then took out a bandage to tie it up.

Although the bandage looked terrible, at least the bleeding was stopped.

He picked up Medea, her warm body dispelling the chill from his own body, and walked forward unsteadily, thinking that he should find a safe place to hide first.

Perhaps it was good luck, but before Yosuke ran out of energy, he finally found an abandoned building. Although it was dilapidated, at least it could keep out the wind.

Medea's body could only bring warmth to the places it touched, and along the way, Youxiao Mirai's body had several cracks from the cold.

Having had some rest, Yusei finally had the time to carefully observe Medea, and he finally understood where the warmth emanating from her body came from—

Ethereal spiritual particles continuously emanated from Medea and drifted into the air.

After pondering for a few seconds, Izayoi Mirai came to a conclusion: Medea, who has lost her master and is seriously injured and cannot get her magic replenished, is going to die, right?

Is his mission going to fail before it even begins?

Youxiao Mirai pursed her lips and took out a small knife.

In the Type-Moon universe, life force contains magic power. Even ordinary people possess this power, but they cannot use it because they lack magic circuits. However, since Ryunosuke was able to draw a magic circle to summon Heroic Spirits using human blood during the Fourth Shinobi World War, his blood should also be able to replenish Medea's magic power.

Yoyo Mirai slowly slit her wrist, and blood gushed out.

Anyway, there's no other way.

He put down the knife, stuck his fingers into Medea's mouth, and pried her mouth open. He aimed the wound on his right hand at Medea's mouth, and blood slowly flowed in. The rate at which the spiritual energy dissipated from Medea's body slowed down.

efficient!

Hope shone in Yosuke Mirai's eyes. Whenever his wound was about to heal, he would stretch out a finger and scratch it hard, causing it to reopen.

After an unknown amount of time, just as Izayoi Mirai was feeling dizzy from blood loss, a pair of blue eyes opened.

I know many people write for Type-Moon, and you're all getting a bit tired of it, but I assure you, no one has written my formula before, at least I haven't found one. Anyway, it's free, so give it a try.

Chapter Two: Unhealthy Hobbies?

As dawn broke, Mirai Izayoi, holding a map of Fuyuki City that she had "taken" from a convenience store, fell into deep thought.

The crisscrossing, intricate routes above gave him a headache. In this era without mobile phone navigation, it was extremely unfriendly to someone with a poor sense of direction.

“My Lord of the Future—” Seeing his troubled expression, Medea, who was completely shrouded in a cloak, stepped forward and came within a step of him, almost touching him. “Let me try.”
