During wartime, everything is kept simple, so it's impossible to prepare anything too lavish. However, the nutritional balance is quite good, which helps to replenish physical strength to the greatest extent.

Having fought several battles during the day, Yushou Mirai was already starving and thanked his adjutant.

He was eating when he noticed that his adjutant hadn't left and kept glancing at him. "Has my charm increased again?"

“Mr. Yuxiao—” the adjutant began, her eyes gleaming with gossip, “What is your relationship with Major Himeko?”

“A fellow alumnus,” said Mirai Izayoi. “And of course, my date today.”

"As expected!" The adjutant clenched his fist. "Did you chase her all the way to St. Freya? That's really touching. She's quite busy now, but she still has a lot of free time, and she's actually a very nice person."

Youxiao Mirai swallowed the food in her mouth and said quite honestly, "Actually, I'm studying philosophy, and I'm still an undergraduate. I don't know what I can do after graduation. Your school principal didn't even ask about my major and just hired me. He even mysteriously said that I can't back out. I guess it's a secure job, worth jumping for."

The adjutant's smile froze. This was completely different from the beautiful love she had imagined! Logically speaking, after going through hardships together, shouldn't their feelings be growing stronger?

Izayoi Mirai glanced at her adjutant and shook her head: "You're still single, right? Never been in a relationship before?"

The adjutant nodded with difficulty.

"So, you're just too young," Izayoi Mirai said, holding her chopsticks as she imparted life experience to the adjutant. "Would you really fall for a man who doesn't even have a job? It's one thing if he can't afford a house or a car, but you have to pay for his food and lodging, and he never gives you any holiday gifts. Would you really want to date him?"

The adjutant shook her head. Get as far away from this gigolo as you can!

Yuuyo Mirai nodded with satisfaction: "See, isn't it perfectly fine for me to find a job first?"

The adjutant nodded, but then stopped, feeling that something was amiss.

Chapter 10 was a filler chapter based on the original plot.

As night fell, Hyperion floated silently above the city, which was now shrouded in darkness. The once brightly lit and bustling cityscape had been reduced to ruins. The stars and moon cast faint shadows that stretched long and menacingly across the ruins, like monstrous creatures that tirelessly roamed the streets, searching for any possible survivors.

On the second floor of a building, a black-haired girl with a ponytail was kneeling on the ground, with a gray-haired loli with double helixes resting on her lap. Papers, pencils and other miscellaneous items were scattered all around her.

Her slender fingers gently stroked the little girl's hair, a relaxed smile on her face:

"After running all day, I can finally take a break."

"Hmph, Mei is a liar!"

A voice interrupted from the side, carrying the innocent charm of a young girl. A white-haired, blue-eyed girl was squatting by the bed with her knees drawn up, her cheeks puffed out, "It should be very comfortable."

Still concerned about what happened during the day? Kiana is really like a little kid.

Mei was both amused and exasperated. She had been injured during the day, and Kiana had licked her injured area twice, saying it must feel very good. Although it did feel very good... how could she possibly admit to something like that?

Kiana glanced at the little girl resting her head on Mei's lap and said with considerable jealousy, "She dares to sleep on Mei's lap; we shouldn't have picked her up in the first place!"

"Don't say that. If it weren't for Bronya, we wouldn't have had such a smooth day."

"Yes Yes Yes."

Kiana said unhappily, "Bronya is the best, and Mei likes her the most."

Mei smiled and said, "Yes, that's my favorite."

Kiana was hit hard, her cheeks puffed up like a hamster's. She had only said those words in anger!

Seeing Kiana's somewhat anxious expression, Mei smiled gently, like a breeze rippling across a pool of spring water: "I like Kiana the most too."

"Really!"

Kiana rushed over excitedly and grabbed Mei's hand.

The girl smiled radiantly: "Of course, Kiana is my savior."

She leaned against the wall, her mind filled with a myriad of thoughts. The sudden disaster and the girl who reached out to help her—everything that had happened today felt like a bizarre dream.

"It's our first time meeting, but it feels like we've known each other for ages..." Mei said softly. "I just hope we can get out of here safely."

"Certainly possible!"

Kiana grabbed Mei's hand. "Don't worry, Mei, I'll protect you!"

Rumbling--

Glass shattered, the outer walls were cut open, rubble and debris rained down, and a white giant sword swung in violently, tearing a huge gash in the apartment building.

A red and white Honkai Beast, as tall as a building, held a shield in one hand and a cone-shaped giant sword in the other, ready to hunt down the three surviving humans.

The loli on Mei's lap instantly regained consciousness. Bronya floated up, her right hand outstretched, pointing at the giant Honkai Beast: "Heavy Bunny 19C, Fire!"

A bizarre robot with arms and a head emerged from the void and immediately confronted the Honkai Beast. The two collided, creating a tangible gust of wind.

"Bronya, watch out!"

A white mark flashed by, and Mei was pushed aside. Before her was Kiana's smile: "If you're always thinking about Bronya, I'll get jealous."

Blood blossomed on Kiana's back, and a long, deep wound appeared from her left shoulder to her right waist, revealing white bone.

Blood splattered all over Mei's face. Feeling the warm blood on her skin, a tremendous fear overwhelmed Mei: "Kiana..."

"waste!"

An arrogant voice echoed in his mind, "Since you can't do anything, then leave everything to me!"

Another will forcefully took over Mei's body, with violent lightning flashing and dark purple eyes filled with killing intent.

Bilibili... Bilibili...

A crackling sound of electricity rang out as the electrons filling the air were taken over by her will, forming a strong electromagnetic field around her. Four wings stretched out from her back.

Mei loosely clenched her right hand, and a dazzling white current surged around her, ionizing the atomic clusters in the air. Positive and negative ions gathered together to form a spherical plasma.

"Disappear, you scum—"

The plasma was flung onto the Honkai Beast, and dazzling lightning and scorching flames exploded in an instant, engulfing the Honkai Beast.

The Herrscher core within her body trembled violently, resonating continuously with the Honkai energy in the air, and a towering pillar of light shone, waking the city from the night.

The Honkai Beasts and zombies throughout the city sprang into action, gathering towards the source of the Honkai. This time, they were not there to eliminate living beings, but to pay homage to their queen.

Kiana's back wound stopped bleeding, and Mei placed one hand on her body, meticulously manipulating the magnetic field to maintain the normal flow of blood in Kiana's veins.

"To get injured protecting that coward, that's pathetic, Kiana."

Mei held Kiana in her arms, surrounded by dazzling lightning. "Wake up, Kiana! You are not allowed to die without my permission. Only I can take your life!"

Suddenly, she looked up and gazed at the warships in the sky.

"An extremely strong Honkai energy reaction was detected."

Alarms blared across the Hyperion. The adjutant adjusted his glasses and reported to Himeko and Theresa, "The Honkai Source value has surged. Honkai Beasts in Changkong City are converging on the Honkai Source."

"As expected, there are law enforcers."

Himeko pursed her lips, her expression sharp as a blade. "Looks like I've hit the jackpot this time."

"Major Himeko, it's not too late to retreat now."

"The word 'retreat' doesn't exist in my dictionary," Himeko commanded. "Operation commence. All ships, Level 1 combat readiness!"

The Herrscher, wielding lightning, ascended into the sky, countless arcs of electricity slithering around her like snakes. Himeko waved her hand:

"Suppression operation commences! Lock all gun ports!"

The engines roared as they squeezed Honkai energy from the power reactors and poured it into the guns throughout the ship.

Before the cannons could be properly aligned, thunderbolts rained down, striking the Hyperion.

A deep, electric light flashed in Mei's eyes: "Annoying bug, who gave you permission to be above me!"

"Warning! Warning! External armor is severely damaged!"

"Damn it, does this guy even know how expensive it is to repair a warship?!"

Himeko gritted her teeth, while Theresa, who was taller than her, said, "Activate the force field protection. Leave the Herrscher to me!"

Himeko hesitated for a moment: "But that's a Herrscher."

Theresa patted her chest, her eyes full of confidence: "So what? I'm an S-class Valkyrie. A mere Herrscher is nothing to me."

I've been thinking about this for a long time, but without Kiana's perspective, the sudden introduction of the Herrscher feels a bit abrupt. I need to fill in some space...

Even so, I still wrote for more than two hours. I'm probably exhausted.

Chapter Eleven: We found a little girl, so we can...

Once the entire ship was on high alert, Izayoi Mirai was leisurely paddling along. Although he really wanted to contribute, as an outsider, the most he could do was stay quietly and not cause any trouble.

Not to mention he's only just entered the Hyperion. His identity is that of a survivor from Changkong City and Himeko Murata's junior. His file hasn't even been properly investigated, yet he wants to interfere? He should at least earn people's trust.

So, besides reading, he only had two options: taking walks within a limited area or sleeping. As the captain, Himeko was naturally commanding the Hyperion's battles, and Fu Hua had disappeared somewhere.

"So boring—"

Bored, Izayoi Mirai ran into the control room, where there were scenes of battle outside.

As soon as he entered, he saw Theresa on the screen beating up the Herrscher Mei, her enormous Judah sword swinging with ferocious power.

Because she was holding Kiana in her arms, Herrscher Mei's ability to exert force was limited, and she was temporarily at a disadvantage.

Wow, Theresa, who failed at the hands of the pseudo-Herrscher, is actually this capable?

Yushou Mirai was slightly surprised. The lightning bolts shot out by Herrscher Mei were deflected by Judas. This Divine Key, made of Soul Steel, seemed to be unable to conduct electricity, or perhaps it was rejecting lightning according to its master's will.

However, Herrscher Mei can fly.
