In the game: I stole Groudon at the start.

At this moment, the smoke and dust in the battlefield slowly dissipated, and as no one expected, the dragon lay on the ground and began to spin its eyes in circles.

"Lapras is unable to fight, Lugia wins."

The referee announced the result of the match directly.

Crimson silently withdrew his dragon without saying a word; he had already anticipated this.

After all, Lugia's aerial blast was just too powerful, so it's understandable that Lapras couldn't withstand it.

But to his surprise, Lugia managed to break free from absolute zero so quickly.

And it seems that it doesn't have much of an impact?

Absolute Zero is the top-tier Ice-type move, and Lugia is actually weak to Ice.

Is the physical strength of a high-level legendary being really that terrifying?

"Next..."

Crimson took out his third Pokémon and, without hesitating for long, tossed it high into the air.

"Pikachu! I choose you!"

The Poké Ball flew out, and a small Pikachu nimbly jumped onto the bumpy ground.

Despite being an extremely cute Pokémon, Pikachu's little face was filled with a serious expression at this moment.

"Pikachu."

Bakura raised an eyebrow and carefully examined the Pikachu.

Completely different from the Pikachu that's primarily cute and secondarily battle-scarred, this Crimson Pikachu is the real powerhouse!

Bakura remembered it quite clearly: when he was playing HeartGold and SoulSilver, and went to Mt. Silver to challenge Red, Red's lead Pikachu almost wiped out his team...

A level 88 Pikachu! Level 88! That's an absolutely insane level.

So Bakura really had a deep impression of the bright red Pikachu.

It's not that Pokémon are weak if they don't evolve to their final form; some Pokémon just don't like evolving by nature.

While most non-evolving Pokémon are not strong, there are a few exceptions.

The most typical examples are Gu Liu's ace little wild boar, the crimson Pikachu, and the slightly dim-witted Pikachu, which can also be considered one...

"Since it's Pikachu, let's start with a little gift."

"Lugia! Storm!"

Bakura's lips curled slightly as he gave Lugia an order.

Strictly speaking, Electric-type is super effective against Flying-type Lugia, but similarly, Pikachu cannot fly.

On the surface, neither has a clear advantage or disadvantage.

But Lugia is a high-level legendary! That racial level alone is an advantage.

"Woo~"

Lugia cried out loudly, flapping its wings heavily.

A raging hurricane instantly formed and swept towards Pikachu.

"Pikachu, thunder!"

Without the slightest hesitation, Crimson shouted at Pikachu.

Pikachu is small in size and very light in weight compared to other Pokémon, which is both an advantage and a disadvantage.

The advantage is its flexibility, while the disadvantage is also simple, such as the current situation.

If Pikachu is suppressed by a storm, it's essentially frozen in place by the wind pressure, unable to even get up.

Pikachu gripped the ground with all four limbs, sparks flying from the electric sacs on its cheeks, and a massive bolt of lightning shot out from its body, meeting the storm head-on.

Lightning attack!

The storm and thunder collided violently in mid-air, and finally exploded.

"Pikachu, surf!"

As the smoke and dust exploded, Crimson didn't hesitate at all and decisively shouted at Pikachu.

Pikachu stood up, raised its arms high, and with a splashing sound, a huge wave rose from the ground, carrying Pikachu towards Lugia.

"Huh? Pikachu can learn this?"

Ash, who was watching the battle, was stunned. He pointed at Pikachu standing on top of the surfer in the middle of the battlefield and asked in disbelief.

Holy crap, why doesn't my Pikachu know how to do this?

Ash's electric mouse was also stunned, tilting its head and staring blankly at its kind in the arena.

"If a red Pikachu can learn, your Pikachu should be able to too."

Xiao Gang was a little stunned, then he rested his chin on his hand and thought for a moment before replying.

Although I never knew that Pikachu, that energy hog, could learn Surf, since Red Pikachu actually used it, Ash's Pikachu should be able to learn it too, right?

"That's great!" Ash's face was full of smiles and joy upon receiving the affirmative reply.

Surfing looks so cool and sophisticated!

……

"Surfing is a skill that's useless against us."

"Lugia! Aerial Blast!"

Bakura chuckled as he watched the menacing Pikachu approach.

Lugia roared again, the air hissing incessantly, and in an instant, a huge beam of energy shot towards Surf.

boom!

The aerial explosion utterly shattered the surf, and amidst the splashing water, the entire water flow collapsed.

"Volt Attack!"

However, just before the surf collapsed, Pikachu had already leaped high into the air, its entire body enveloped in intense electricity, and was hurtling towards Lugia at top speed.

Extremely fast!

"So he just wanted to use this as a way to get close to Lugia."

Bakura was not surprised at all, and the smile on his lips remained unchanged.

Pikachu cannot fly, so if you want to attack Lugia, you have to find a way to get close to Lugia, that's for sure!

Or are you suggesting we have Pikachu and Lugia in the air compete in a battle of firepower and skill accuracy? Don't be ridiculous.

While Pikachu is indeed the symbol of Pokémon in some respects, any Pokémon fan knows how powerful Pikachu is.

Pikachu is practically useless except for its speed; it has low HP, low attack, and weak defense.

The strength of a Pokémon depends entirely on the trainer, but even a red Pikachu cannot change its essential nature.

Using special moves also consumes stamina. No matter how strong Pikachu is, it can't change the fact that it is a Pokémon with very low stamina. It can only go for an agile and explosive style, making it compete with the high-level legendary Lugia in terms of firepower.

Putting aside whether they can win the battle, even in a game of hide-and-seek where they have to fight for attack power, Pikachu would likely collapse from exhaustion before even hitting Lugia.

Getting close to Lugia isn't that easy.

"Lugia, use Psychic!"

Bakura shouted to Lugia, because Lugia was indeed in a weak position right after using Aerial Blast. No matter what Pokémon it is, the moment right after using a special move is when its opening is at its greatest!

However, it depends on the situation. For example, if it's just a probing attack, then it means that preparations were made in advance.

Lugia is the same; although Pikachu's Surf is powerful, it's not so powerful that Lugia would need to use its full power to use Aerial Blast to destroy it.

Lugia's eyes flashed with a deep, psychic blue light, and a beam of seven-colored light shot towards Pikachu.

Aggressive psychokinesis!

At this moment, Pikachu is at the height of its power, and the control-type Psychic is not suitable for dealing with Pikachu.

Psychic attacks and Volt attacks were continuously launched at the opponent.

"Pikachu!"

Seeing this, Crimson suddenly shouted at Pikachu.

And with their long-standing tacit understanding, Pikachu instantly understood Red's thoughts.

Just before it was about to collide with Psychic, Pikachu adjusted its dash direction, avoiding a head-on collision with Psychic.

"Ok?"

Bakura glanced at Pikachu in surprise. Was he going to adjust his direction now?

You should know that Pikachu cannot fly! It also doesn't have the ability to stay airborne.

This also means that without any leverage points in the air, Pikachu can only control the slight direction of the Volt Attack with great difficulty.

At this moment, Pikachu forcibly changes the direction of its Volt Attack dash and charges diagonally upwards, which means that Pikachu can no longer attack Lugia!

Since the two are now very close, it's impossible for Pikachu to change direction again in such a short period of time.

"They really are brothers."

But Bakura quickly understood Akane's purpose, chuckled, and shook his head.

And the Pikachu in the air confirmed his guess.

Using the momentum from the Volt Attack, Pikachu landed above Lugia, and then deliberately withdrew the Volt Attack.

Without the momentum of Volt Attack's charge, Pikachu immediately fell from the sky!

And below it is Lugia!
