"Snapped!"

Mo Mo snapped his fingers lightly, and countless white lights shifted wildly. Various kinds of substances began to replace the original Lost Home, transforming into things that the little cat demons had never seen before.

The ground, which was originally gravel and dirt, has been transformed into frosted marble, and the surrounding thatched huts have disappeared, replaced by walls made of a bright, smooth, pale yellow material. Even the stone slabs under the cat demons' bottoms have become soft, warm blankets.

Not only that, but to the astonishment of all the little cat demons, they were originally eating outdoors, since such a small village could not possibly have a large house big enough for a dozen or twenty cat demons to move around in together.

But now, when the cat demons looked up, the bright sky had disappeared, replaced by a towering ceiling with magnificent chandeliers, clearly belonging to a grand palace.

Wait... a palace?

Cheng suddenly stood up, even dropping the cod she was holding. As if she had thought of something, she nimbly ran straight towards the distant gate.

Soon, amidst the puzzled gazes of the cat demons, Orange ran out through the two heavy, massive doors, arrived outside the enormous room, and turned back to look...

The dilapidated thatched huts that had served as their dwelling place had vanished, replaced by a colossal palace. The palace was many times larger than the most luxurious house Orange had ever seen—the Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Cheng felt her mind go blank. She seemed to understand what was happening, but she couldn't believe it, even though it was all so close.

Could this be another gift that Mo Mo gave her?

You must be kidding!

How could something like this be called a gift?

How could a monster possibly do something like this?

and many more……

A thought suddenly popped into Cheng's mind: Could all of this be an illusion?

Could it be that she was trapped in a hallucination from the very beginning, and was under Mo Mo's influence?

Yup!

That's a very reasonable guess!

Momo is most likely one of those hallucinogenic monsters. This guy is definitely trying to trick me in this way!

That must be it!

Thinking of this, Orange's face filled with anger. She then walked to the door, looked at Mo Mo's hateful smiling face deep in the hall, and opened her mouth to reveal her fangs...

It bit down hard on its own greasy cat paw.

"Meow meow meow meow, it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

Immediately, Orange let out a scream. Looking at her bleeding paw and feeling the pain, tears streamed down her face.

This became her motivation. She stormed into the palace again, heading straight for Momo, seemingly to question him about why he had done this.

However, she had only taken a few steps into the palace when she slowed down because she heard a series of cheerful laughter and meows.

She turned her head and looked around, and that's when she realized that on both sides of the palace were pieces of special furniture that looked like they were for playing with cats.

There are caves, trees, and various interconnected platforms that resemble a jungle. Even the chandeliers on the ceiling have become a playground for the cat demons.

Moreover, since these items are produced by Momo, the materials used are naturally high-end and excellent. As long as these cat demons don't use their demonic power to test the sturdiness of the materials, they won't be ruined by these little cat demons.

The little cat demons, having eaten and drunk their fill, were bewildered when they saw Orange rush out. They didn't understand the situation, but instinctively noticed the things that looked quite amusing.

Having eaten their fill and then playing was the happiest thing for them, and they had no reason to refuse. This was their happiness, and it was what they longed for most when they couldn't even get enough to eat before.

Now, in an instant, all their goals have been achieved, and all that remains is their most joyful laughter.

Cheng watched all this with her lips pursed, realizing it wasn't a dream. She vaguely sensed the unease beneath Mo Mo's immense power and the enormous gift, yet now she didn't know how to refuse it all.

It wasn't because she couldn't refuse Momo, or because she was afraid of seeing Momo sad or upset. Rather, it was because she couldn't take away from her happy compatriots the things that could transform their lives.

On one hand, there's the choice between rejecting material wealth for the sake of willpower and spirit; on the other hand, there's the choice between rejecting spiritual and willpower perseverance for the sake of material wealth. This dilemma has troubled countless races and creatures since ancient times, and it's definitely not something that a cat demon with the wisdom of a child like Orange could answer.

Cheng didn't know how to answer, so she could only instinctively approach Mo Mo and walk towards him, hoping to get the answer from him.

Meanwhile, Momo's gifts to Cheng were not yet finished.

Clusters of white light reappeared, and figures emerged from them. They wore robes similar in style to the one Cheng wore, but these were tailored and uniform.

The moment these people appeared, they seemed to know what they were about to do. They lined up on either side of the red carpet, men on one side and women on the other. Although their eyes were somewhat vacant, they moved without the slightest difficulty. After the twenty people—ten men and ten women—were in place, they bowed to Orange in unison and said, "Welcome back, Lord Orange."

Orange was startled by these people's actions, but having already been greatly frightened by the castle that Mo Mo had conjured up, she was now quite immune to it.

She forced herself not to think too much about what had happened, and instead walked past the formation of ten people with her chest out, arriving at Mo Mo's side.

"Who...are they?"

Cheng asked Mo Mo in a low voice, and Mo Mo smiled faintly and said, "They are not human, they are NPCs, some guys with human appearances, but who only operate according to programs. Perhaps, calling them cyborgs would be more appropriate?"

These people were created by Momo based on NPCs from the afterlife. However, although they appear to be living people, to avoid ethical issues, Momo designed their brains to be mechanical, so they are essentially robots with humanoid appearances.

However, Orange obviously couldn't understand these terms, so Momo said directly, "Of course, Orange, you can think of them as the lowest-level shikigami who only know how to work. From now on, Orange, they can be responsible for your and your compatriots' daily life, as well as the maintenance and operation of the castle."

"After that, they will also cultivate the land around the castle and grow food. Even if I leave, you and your people can still live an easier life."

"Orange, do you like the little gift I gave you?"

118 There's big news here.

Cheng stared wide-eyed at Mo Mo, completely at a loss for words.

She was determined and still wanted to refuse Momo, but faced with Momo's enormous gift, the word "refusal" could not be uttered from her lips.

After all, Momo's gift was far too substantial. Cheng believed that even if she sold herself or worked as a laborer for hundreds of years, she probably couldn't achieve such a result.

Orange's dream, her deepest desire, had been so easily fulfilled by Mo Mo. Watching the cat demons frolicking carefree, Orange felt the joy of her fellow cats from the bottom of her heart.

Seeing that Cheng had no intention of giving them orders, the humanoid bio-robots created by Mo Mo took the initiative to act.

A few people went to clean up the leftover plates from the cat demons' meals, while the rest left the castle with more tools in their hands, seemingly ready to start cleaning up everything around the castle.

Orange wholeheartedly believed Momo's words that these NPCs would later begin cultivating fields and planting crops, providing the Lost Home with a more stable source of income. In fact, Orange would have no doubts what Momo said now.

Mo Mo was like a god who fell from the sky, came to Cheng, asked about Cheng's wish, and then fulfilled that wish without reservation.

As for the price, it was Momo asking Orange if she wanted to become his shikigami. Orange could have answered this question easily, but now, as Momo kept pushing the issue, Orange could only choose to remain silent.

"What, is that not allowed?"

Mo Mo bent down, while Cheng lowered her head as if in fear. She wasn't afraid of Mo Mo, but rather afraid that if she had firmly agreed to Mo Mo's request, she would then refuse again, causing everything before her to vanish like smoke.

Intense emotions clashed and intertwined within her, and helplessly, Orange finally realized that tears had been slowly dripping from her eyes.

"I understand."

Mo Mo smiled slightly at this moment. He placed his hand on Cheng's head and gave it a good rub.

"Okay, stop crying. It's like I'm forcing you to make a decision. We're friends. Since you're in such a difficult situation, why would I demand a definite answer from you?"

Mo Mo's words startled Cheng. She suddenly looked up, her eyes brimming with tears, and looked at Mo Mo's smile, seemingly unable to keep up with his train of thought.

Mo Mo sighed slightly. Although he wouldn't admit it, he had indeed been constantly increasing the stakes and pressing Cheng relentlessly.

The reason for doing this was certainly not because Mo Mo wanted to drive Cheng to the brink, nor was it because Mo Mo wanted to tease Cheng. Rather, Mo Mo was clinging to a sliver of hope that her gift might actually move Cheng.

However, it turned out that Momo's initial guess was correct. Although Cheng was very young and not very intelligent, the concept of loyalty and righteousness had already been deeply engraved in her heart.

If it weren't for the sake of the happiness of her compatriots, the things Momo brought out would probably only have put Cheng in a difficult position.

Cheng didn't speak, but her attitude was clear: she refused.

At this point, Mo Mo felt that it was about time. If he increased the pressure any further, he might really push this little loli cat, Orange, into having problems.

Momo's enemy is not this cute cat-eared girl.

"Since you're unwilling, then I won't say anything more. I can only lament that I'm late."

"I……"

Cheng hurriedly tried to say something, but Mo Mo patted her head again, interrupting her, and said, "No need to apologize, and no need to say anything more. We're friends, aren't we? Consider these things as a gift to you as our friend."

"Don't be upset by the value of these things. As you can see, they are merely a reflection of my abilities. We are friends, and the bond between friends is priceless, just as I cannot buy the connection between you and Yakumo Ran, can I?"

Mo Mo smiled faintly, and at that moment, Cheng felt incredibly warm and friendly. The pressure that had been weighing on her heart was instantly broken by Mo Mo, and a sense of relief welled up in Cheng's heart, finally making her smile through her tears and nod heavily.

"Ok!"

"We're friends!"

After saying that, Cheng took Mo Mo's hand and led her to the stairs, saying, "Hey, show me around, I want to see my new home!"

……

Are you really going to walk alone?

Once Orange was familiar with the castle's layout, Momo chose to say goodbye. The two of them, still holding hands, arrived at the castle gate.

As for the rest of the little cat demons, they had already entered their respective rooms under the guidance of the NPCs, enjoying comfortable beds and drifting into sweet dreams.

On Cheng's side, it seemed that she had gotten out of her dilemma thanks to Mo Mo's persuasion. However, seeing her clinging to Mo Mo and looking reluctant to let go, Mo Mo knew that the dilemma in her heart was not so easy to let go of.

After all, Cheng didn't do anything for Mo Mo!

Friendships are reciprocal, and so is friendship. Momo has done so much for her and her people, while Orange couldn't even offer Momo anything decent to treat her to.

Mo Mo squeezed Cheng's soft palm. Although it was in human form, Cheng's palm was different from its thin body. It seemed to have inherited the paw-like characteristics of a cat's paw and was still a bit chubby, which felt very comfortable to squeeze.

"Ah, hahaha, stop fooling around!"

And here, it seemed to be Cheng's weakness. When Mo Mo tickled her palm, she couldn't help but burst into laughter, her ears and tail trembling incessantly, and her cheeks flushed red from laughing.

However, despite being teased by Mo Mo, Cheng still gently held Mo Mo's large hand and showed no intention of letting go.

They're friends after all!

Moreover, Momo is leaving soon, how could Cheng bear to let her good friend Momo go?

“A smile is good!” Mo Mo laughed and said, “You still have your compatriots to take care of. Don’t worry about me. I’ve already booked a guide, and she will be coming to find me soon.”

"As for your hospitality, I'll keep it in mind. Once those NPCs have cleared the land, you and your fellow countrymen can cultivate a small portion yourselves, and then I can taste the vegetables and fruits you grow!"

Cheng's smile faded, and she nodded helplessly, knowing that Mo Mo was determined to leave. So, she turned her attention to the guide Mo Mo had mentioned.

"Do you know anyone else? Isn't this your first time in Fantasyland?"
