Chapter 148: The Giant Whale

The first wave to leave consisted of the six subordinate officers of the Second Blade and the six Shinigami, each of whom had found their own opponents. But at that moment, Zabimaru reversed direction, suddenly wrapped around Kinon and pulled him down from the air.

Renji Abarai looked at his broken sword, narrowed his eyes, and said, "Is that so?"

"Bear with the snake tail pill."

Renji Abarai said softly, then suddenly plunged his broken sword into the ground.

As he moved, the blades scattered around Qinong slowly flew up and circled around him.

"Baboon teeth and iron bite."

Bang, bang, bang

Six blades shot towards Qinong in an instant, and a violent impact rang out. Qinong was instantly slashed with six bloody gashes and fell heavily to the ground.

This was a technique used against Aizen, but it didn't cause him any damage.

Renji Abarai breathed a sigh of relief as Zabimaru transformed into a long sword and returned to his hand.

With a roar, Qinong braced himself with his arms, and the snake tail that was wrapped around him broke off inch by inch, falling around his body.

With a cold snort, Qinong raised his fist, ready to smash it at Renji Abarai.

"Sigh, why can't you ever forget the lessons learned?"

Renji Abarai sighed and softly called out, "Baboon Fang Absolute Bite."

With his low groan, the scattered bone joints flew up one by one, shooting towards Qi Nong's body.

Upon seeing this, Qi Nong covered his face with his hands.

The sound of impact rang out, and Qinong was engulfed by bone joints. But after the smoke cleared, Qinong's body was covered with wounds, and his arms were covered with bloody cuts that were deep enough to expose the bone.

This epic battle can't just be about Xia Yan's fight, so I've assigned opponents to everyone and adjusted some of the matchups. Those battles identical to the original will be briefly mentioned, while those different will be described in more detail. For example, Renji Abarai and the Giant Whale, or Soi Fon and Ulquiorra. The adjustments mainly considered three aspects: first, the battles should be as unfamiliar as possible; second, both sides should be engaging; and third, their abilities should have a counter-relationship. Therefore, I spent a lot of time creating the matchup schedule, revising it repeatedly.
