Madarame Ikkaku nodded emphatically, climbed over the courtyard wall, and ran off into the distance.

"Little Sword, Ikkaku is gone."

Kusajiro Yachiru jumped off the courtyard wall and returned to the training room, where a figure sat leaning against the wall, holding a sword in his hand, but with a lonely expression on his face.

"If he fails, I will make my move tomorrow," the figure said coldly.

Inside the room, the candlelight flickered, casting a dim, yellowish glow that illuminated the space, but left two shadows on the wall.

"Have you made up your mind?"

Zhibo looked at her husband with a hint of reluctance in her expression.

Shiba Kaien said with a smile, "Of course I'm going. Am I his older brother?"

Shiba nodded, walked over to Shiba Kaien, straightened his collar, and said, "Be careful."

Rukia and I both have natural-type Zanpakuto, one water-type and the other ice-type. If we cooperate, we might be able to withstand Captain-Commander Yamamoto's flames."

Rukia Kuchiki also said, "Yes, let's do it this way. Captain Kaien and I will lure Captain-Commander Yamamoto away."

Because Soi Fon chose to follow Natsuhiko to hunt down the Soul King, she was sentenced to death as Natsuhiko's accomplice.

Tomorrow, Soi Fon will be executed.

The goal of Shiba Kaien and his four companions is to rescue Soi Fon.

But the only problem facing them was Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni, who was personally guarding Soi Fon.

Chapter 311: Rescue

The night was deep and dark, with dark clouds covering the sky, obscuring the moonlight, and the space in front of me was completely black.

In Seireitei, five people ran through the streets toward the Penitentiary.

The other four answered in unison, and the five immediately split into two teams. Shiba Kaien, Kuchiki Rukia, and Madarame Ikkaku rushed towards the Penitentiary, while Abarai Renji and Kira Izuru hid outside the Penitentiary.

Kaien Shiba led Rukia and Ikkaku to the foot of the Penitentiary, where two gatekeepers immediately shouted, "Who goes there?"

Madarame Ikkaku rushed over and knocked both of them to the ground with a single punch.

Then, Madarame Ikkaku gripped his Zanpakuto tightly and shouted, "Bankai, Ryumon Hozukimaru!"

The Zanpakuto in his hand instantly grew to enormous size and cleaved directly into the gate of the Palace of Penitence.

The massive iron gate shattered, and the door opened, revealing a spacious hall. Inside, a spiral staircase ran along all four walls, ascending to the horizon.

Madarame Ikkaku sheathed his Zanpakuto, the three of them gestured to the back, and rushed in first, stepping onto the stairs and running upwards.

The staircase went around once, and platforms appeared on both sides, lying across the wall, which could be reached by spiral staircases.

Several guards stood on these platforms, and upon seeing the three people, they immediately rushed over.

Ikkaku Madarame charged forward and knocked them down. The three of them then continued forward and reached the third circle, where a second platform appeared, leading to another circle of rooms.

After clearing out the guards, they went up the stairs again, reaching the last spiral staircase, which was the fourth floor.

There are only a few rooms here, each of which is enormous and extends upwards to form a spire.

At the end of this circle of stairs, there was only one person: Yamamoto Genryusai Shigekuni.

He sat there cross-legged, looking at Shiba Kaien, Kuchiki Rukia, and Madarame Ikkaku, and said softly, "Shiba Kaien, I'm disappointed that you came. As a captain, you actually tried to save sinners."

Shiba Kaien gripped his Zanpakuto tightly and said, "Natsuhiko has disappeared. He's my brother, and I have to go save Soi Fon. Besides, she did nothing wrong. The cane shattered, revealing a Zanpakuto. The Zanpakuto struck Hozukimaru with Ryumon, instantly shattering one of Hozukimaru's blades.

Madarame Ikkaku was blasted away by the immense force, fell to the ground, and then coughed up blood incessantly.

"Wow, that's amazing."

Madarame Ikkaku tried to stand up, but to no avail; he felt his arms were shattered.

"Next are you two, you two fall down too."

With a roar, Yamamoto Genryusai leaped towards Shiba Kaien and slashed down with his sword.

"Roar, Sujian!"

As Shiba Kaien spoke, the surrounding waves surged and rose high, blocking Shiba Kaien and Kuchiki Rukia's path.

Yamamoto Genryusai's Zanpakuto struck the waves, shattering them with its force, but the current instantly replenished the water, blocking Yamamoto Genryusai's attack.

At the same time, waves swept across the entire Confession Palace, lifting a corner of Madarame and carrying it towards one of the rooms on the fourth floor.

Seeing this, Yamamoto Genryusai turned around to chase after him, but in an instant, the direction he was facing was enveloped by a curtain of water, which swept him up and sent him out of the Palace of Repentance to the Hill of Twin Calamities.

Then they saw one of the walls of the Palace of Penitence shatter, and the ocean surged up, rolling towards the Hill of Two Calamities.

Also appearing on Twin Hill was Rukia Kuchiki, who floated on the water's surface with a force rising from her toes, requiring little effort.

"Let's fight here."

The battlefield was set in motion, and Shiba Kaien slowly emerged from the water, gripping his trident tightly.

Rukia Kuchiki and Kaien Shiba stood on the water's surface, while Genryusai Yamamoto hovered in mid-air, too afraid to touch the water.
