Xia Yan led Rukia in without any hindrance and went straight to the Kuchiki family's house, knocking on the door.

The old man nodded, closed the door, and left.

After waiting for a while, footsteps came from behind the door. The door opened, and a tall, slender man appeared in the doorway.

The man was handsome, with long hair and a headdress worn only by the highest nobility. He also wore a silver-white floral veil around his neck. His face was cold, but his light purple eyes revealed a hint of anticipation.

He saw Rukia, raised an eyebrow slightly, and asked, "Did you agree?"

Rukia whispered, "I'm willing to join the Kuchiki family."

Kuchiki Byakuya nodded, stepped aside, and said, "Then come in."

Rukia glanced at Natsuhiko, saw him nod at her, and entered the Kuchiki family's gate.
