"Don't doubt me, buddy. I really am Merlin, the court magician Merlin." Merlin explained to Anno behind him, "I just came here to relax today."
Anno didn't answer, but simply followed behind Merlin.
Merlin didn't mind, smiled indifferently, and continued to lead the way.
After walking for a short while, the two arrived at a huge and beautiful lake.
A ripple appeared in the center of the lake, as if something had fallen into the water.
"Oh dear, he dived into the water before he even saw me..." Merlin looked quite troubled.
“Sacred Lake…” Anno deliberately kept some distance from Merlin, squatted down to touch the lake water, and sorted out all his memories of Britain in his mind.
The memories of the past are incredibly clear; it's probably about them again.
Anno used to have one or two friends who were so-called "Moon people" and would often come to him crying about things like "Wang Hachi has sunk" and "Ereshkigal has sunk." So he had naturally come into contact with Type-Moon culture, and the most well-known part of Type-Moon culture is the legend of King Arthur from Britain.
The sacred lake is an integral part of the Arthurian legend.
The Lady of the Lake raised Lancelot, the Knight of the Lake, and after King Arthur's sword in the stone broke, she gave him a holy sword—Excalibur (the sword of Excalibur).
There are even rumors that the Lady of the Lake was admired by the wizard Merlin, but unfortunately Merlin was not her type.
Shaking his head to dismiss the boring gossip, the only information he knew so far was that this was Britain, the Britain of King Arthur's legend, and that he needed to create his own legend here and become a Heroic Spirit.

Chapter Five: The Fairy of the Lake
After considering his words, Anno looked at Meilin, who had already sat back down by the lake.
Merlin seemed not to notice him, simply maintaining a smiling expression as he looked towards the center of the lake. That smug expression reminded Anno of a creature called a "pervert."
Merlin remained silent, essentially waiting for Anno to speak.
“Mr. Merlin?” Anno, who was also sitting on the ground, greeted Merlin.
"Hmm? Is there something you need, sir?"
Anno scratched his face: "Come to think of it, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Anno, and that's all I remember."
"Hmm." Merlin waited for Anno to continue.
"I...want to return to human civilization. Can Mr. Merlin help me?" Anno tried to make his tone sound less nervous.
"Hmm, Anno, you want to go back to the Kingdom of Britain?" Merlin asked in return.
"If you help me, I'll consider it a favor I owe you, how about that?" Anno was gambling that Merlin, the renowned magician, had seen through his odd behavior in order to entice him to invest.
Merlin was indeed tempted. Upon closer examination, he realized that humans protected by the restraint force were unheard of, and the only thing involved was helping him get into human civilization—it couldn't be simpler.
"Sure, is there anything else I can help you with?" Merlin smiled.
Anno breathed a sigh of relief; it was good that they were willing to help.
"Please, Mr. Merlin, help me find some clothes and some food..." Anno said, blushing slightly. He had nothing, yet he had the audacity to say that he owed someone a favor.
“Simple. Food can be prepared now, as for clothes…” Merlin thought for a moment.
"Would you mind owing me another favor?" Merlin winked at Anno.
"Huh? No, I don't mind." Anno didn't quite understand what Merlin wanted to do.
Merlin stood up, walked to the lake, and silently chanted, "O fairy dwelling in the sacred lake, will you appear and hear my wish?"
No sooner had Merlin finished speaking than a head popped out from the middle of the lake: "What are you still doing here, you stinky man?"
Although only half of her head was visible, Anno could be fairly certain that she was a stunningly beautiful woman just by looking at her eyes.
Is this the Lady of the Lake...?
"It was I who called you, but it's not me who needs your help," Merlin said with a charming smile.
"Have you seen that little boy by the lake?" Merlin pointed to Anno, who was sitting on the shore.
"Hmm, I see it, a leaf skirt?" The Lake Fairy glanced at Anno in the distance, paused for a moment, and couldn't figure out what Merlin was planning.
"He wants a set of clothes now, but the price is that he'll owe you a favor."
"Human favors? Well..." The Lady of the Lake was about to mock Merlin when Merlin interrupted her.
"Don't rush to refuse. Listen to me, this child has some extraordinary qualities. His favors might be surprisingly valuable," Merlin added.
The fairy in the lake paused for a moment and carefully observed Anno.
"Wait for me a moment." After saying that, she pulled her head back.
About half an hour later, the fairy in the lake resurfaced, this time revealing her true appearance.
She had long, light golden hair, a beautiful face, and a noble air.
Anuo, who had never been in a relationship, couldn't stand this overwhelming aura. Her face flushed slightly, and she didn't dare to look at the fairy in the lake.
The Lady of the Lake paid no attention to Anno, but instead handed the item in her hand to Merlin.

Chapter Six: The Knight
"Oh my, this time I've really gotten something good from you." Merlin was slightly surprised as he took the clothes the fairy handed him.
The fairy in the lake rolled her eyes at Meilin, said nothing more, and sank back into the lake.
Merlin didn't mind, took the clothes back to the lakeside, and showed them to Anno.
Anno examined the dress carefully. Since it was a dress that the legendary Lake Fairy had traded to him in the name of a favor, it must have something extraordinary about it.
It's more accurate to describe it as armor than clothing.
The armor is entirely bright silver and is designed as chainmail, but the clasps are so small that they look like scales. It also comes with matching skirt armor, wrist guards, and boots.
Merlin somehow found Anno another set of cloth clothes to wear underneath, and then Anno put on this strange set of armor.
Anno was finally dressed in normal clothes, although it looked a bit strange.
"Hmm, not bad." Merlin instructed Anno, "This is the armor made by that fairy. It usually looks like this, but if you can control it... it will look like this."
As Merlin spoke, he placed his hand on Anno's shoulder, and the armor that sensed Merlin's presence instantly changed its appearance.
The originally bright silver chainmail became compact and heavy, and in appearance it was actually a plate armor, tightly protecting Anno inside the armor without any leaks.
"This..." Anno clicked his tongue in amazement as he looked at what seemed like magic.
"How about it, not bad, right?" Merlin's lips still curled into a smile.
Merlin lowered his hand from Anno's shoulder, but the armor did not revert to its original form. It took about five seconds, until he was sure Merlin's hand would not come up again, before it returned to its original chainmail shape.
Anno nodded subconsciously.
Merlin then asked, "In what capacity do you wish to return to human society?"
Anno remained silent.
Honestly, given the current situation, no matter how calm you are, feeling lost is inevitable.
Arriving in a strange world, destined to save it...
Setting aside distractions, Anno decided to throw the question back at him: "Mr. Merlin can arrange it."
Merlin stroked his chin and smiled: "Why don't you become a knight?"
"A knight?" Anno asked, puzzled.
"Well, knights are a noble class in today's society, you know. So, are you interested?" Merlin's tone was full of enticement.
Anno did not agree immediately, but thought about it carefully.
“Knights need to be physically strong, and I’m afraid I’m not up to the task.” After considering his small stature, Anno shook his head and rejected the tempting offer.
“Hmm, this is a problem…” Merlin observed Anno carefully.
He is about 1.75 meters tall and his build is not muscular, but he is not fat.
Becoming a knight is indeed very difficult.
"If I have a way to give you a powerful body, Anno, would you agree?" Merlin thought of a plan.
He's now full of mischief in mind. What if he puts Anno, this obvious variable, next to the future king? Would things get interesting?

Seeing Merlin's enthusiasm, Anno didn't know what he was thinking, but he couldn't refuse, so he nodded and agreed: "That would be perfect."

Chapter Seven: A Year Stained with Blood
......
A year has passed since Anno arrived in Britain.
"You damn Merlin! How long are you going to leave me here?!" Anno shouted angrily, using the curses he had learned from his classmates when he was still on Earth.
Anuo considers himself to be of good character and is usually refined, easy-going, and elegant, but recently he is really on the verge of a breakdown.
After he and Merlin agreed to become knights, Merlin first stayed with Anor at the sacred lake for a month, teaching him the etiquette and creed of knighthood. Then, due to a summons from King Uther of Britain, Merlin left first. Before leaving, Merlin took Anor to the goblin settlement and left without saying a word.
Then, Anor, wearing the armor of the Lady of the Lake and wielding an iron sword, single-handedly fought his way in and out of the goblin settlement seven times.
Goblins and humans are mortal enemies, so they're bound to have designs on Anno who's all alone.
The goblins themselves are not very strong, and with Anno wearing the armor, encountering small settlements is not a problem.
Real combat is the best teacher. In addition, Anno himself is a Root Thread and has the protection of the Suppression Force, so Anno's strength has improved rapidly.
At first, Anno was very disgusted by this, but too many goblins wanted to kill him, so Anno had no choice but to kill one, vomit a few times, and then he completely adapted to the rhythm of the slaughter after a few days.
They ate raw meat and drank blood, hiding during the day and going out at night.
When even hordes of goblins could no longer pose a threat to Anor, Merlin reappeared. After being chased and beaten by Anor, Merlin threw Anor into the orc settlement.
The rest is history.
At this moment, Anno was sitting on the corpse of an orc, exuding a fierce aura.
When Anno first entered this region, the orcs always wanted to hunt him down. Now, however, Anno has to actively seek out orc settlements.
A year has passed. Anno has grown a few centimeters taller. Although he can't be described as having explosive muscles, he at least looks quite robust. His once bright silver armor is now stained with blood, and he has grown a beard. There are also several fine scars on his face, giving him a menacing look. The handsome young man from a year ago is no more.
