Chapter 001 The Transmigrator Scott Trollope

1992年9月1日,伦敦国王十字车站,9又3/4站台。

This day marks the annual enrollment day for new students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the only magic school in England.

For young wizards who are currently studying at Hogwarts or about to attend, taking the train from King's Cross Station is the only way to get to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

This resulted in the entire platform being packed with people, making it exceptionally lively.

Students of different ages and their parents, who were seeing them off, walked along the platform with large and small bags of luggage.

An owl flew overhead, dropping a few feathers.

Several cats were nimbly moving around under people's feet.

A dark red steam locomotive was parked next to the platform.

The sign on the train reads: [Hogwarts Express, 11:00].

In a quiet carriage near the back of the train, a boy sat alone in a compartment, resting his chin on his hand and looking out at the crowded people.

He has slightly curly but not messy black hair, just like his clothes, giving a clean and neat first impression.

He wore a plain wizard's robe with a blue badge embroidered on his chest.

In addition to a bronze eagle, the badge also features the word Ravenclaw.

At this moment, although he was looking out the car window, the noisy scene was not reflected in his clear blue eyes; his thoughts were wandering.

Scott Trollope, born into an ordinary family in Hastings, a port town in southeast England, is 14 years old and a fourth-year student at Ravenclaw House, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Besides these, he also has a secret identity that is different from ordinary people—a time traveler.

Fourteen years have passed since he was reborn into this world with memories of his past life.

Scott had no idea why he had died unexpectedly in his previous life and then been reborn in this world with his memories intact.

To this, he could only sigh and say – all the things of the past life are beyond our reach.

In this life, his upbringing before the age of eleven can be described as unremarkable.

He wasn't a renowned child prodigy, nor the world's richest man. He didn't rush to publish the Harry Potter novels, nor did he buy Apple stock, nor did he learn hacking skills to empty the Bank of England's coffers... He didn't even have the system that's standard for time travelers.

He simply accepted his new identity after his brain fully developed and he was able to think independently during infancy, and then grew up step by step.

The first thing I noticed was the sudden surge of magical energy.

The details of what happened need not be elaborated upon, but in short, he quickly accepted yet another new identity after that—probably a junior wizard.

He didn't think of himself as a mutant or someone with superpowers awakened—the feeling of a magical outburst was so clear, and since he was in England, he would naturally choose the most likely explanation from among the many options that could explain the magical outburst.

When he received his acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the age of eleven, his parents, Michael and Amelia, also gladly accepted the fact.

They didn't make a fuss, nor did they regard their wizard son as an outsider.

It should be emphasized that the Trolop family is an all-Muggle family—Michael and Emilia run an antique shop together.

Neither their relatives nor friends are wizards or Squibs, and there are no hidden secret rooms or magical paintings in their homes.

After confirming his hypothesis about the world, Scott was only slightly disappointed that his memory of the Harry Potter story was reduced to a brief outline, but he did not feel anxious about it.

He wasn't a fan of the Harry Potter series of novels and movies; in his previous life, he had only read the entire series bit by bit during his student days out of curiosity.

Even with the globally popular film series adaptations, he only watched the first two when he was still very young.

But he felt that he was already lucky to still remember the outline, and he should be secretly pleased with his relatively outstanding memory—after all, it was already quite remarkable to still remember the general outline of the whole story after many years of reincarnation.

In short, Scott first boarded the Hogwarts Express at the age of eleven in 1989, and was then sorted into Ravenclaw by the Sorting Hat at the Sorting Ceremony.

He originally thought that his easygoing personality would get him sorted into Hufflepuff House by the Sorting Hat.

But he didn't expect that the Sorting Hat could see that his intelligence was significantly more prominent than his easygoing nature.

It should be emphasized that Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry does not practice Legilimency against young wizards.

Neither the Sorting Hat nor Headmaster Dumbledore seemed to have any interest in the young wizard's unremarkable memories.

Scott believed that since they could easily judge a person's abilities and character, memory was not so important.

He knew that as long as he acted openly and confidently as a student at school without being too outrageous, no one would pay special attention to him.

Conversely, if one is constantly suspicious and displays an excessive level of defensiveness, it will only arouse suspicion, like "protesting too much."

Just as he expected, Scott had safely completed three years of wizarding apprenticeship since entering the magical campus life.

woo woo woo...

The long whistle interrupted his thoughts as the train started moving.

Scott snapped out of his reverie, watched the scenery receding into the distance outside the car window for a while, and then took out a book with a colorful cover from the backpack placed to the side.

"Vacation with a Mother Demon" by Gilderoy Lockhart.

Lockhart was someone Scott still vaguely remembered, and he was also the professor in charge of teaching them Defense Against the Dark Arts this new school year.

Scott remembered that he was a fraudster who stole the plots in his books by casting memory spells on the real owners of those adventures.

But even though Lockhart was a fake, Scott thought his books were still worth reading.

After all, aside from the protagonist's name being fictional, the adventures themselves were all real. Otherwise, Lockhart wouldn't have been able to gain the accolades that made him famous through these novels.

The train sped across the fields, and Scott occasionally turned the pages of the book in his hands.

He didn't look at it very carefully; he just glanced through it and then took a pen to mark the truly useful knowledge in the book.

Of course, he simply skipped over the paragraphs Lockhart used to boast.

When he was halfway through the book, he suddenly put down his pen and turned to look at the door of the cubicle.

Five seconds later, the cubicle door was pulled open.

"Excuse me..." the little witch, who was holding the door, poked her head into the cubicle and asked hurriedly, "Have you seen Harry Potter and Ron Weasley today?"

Scott noticed that she had thick brown hair and a pair of large front teeth.

He knew the girl, Hermione Granger, Harry Potter's friend.

The girl probably didn't expect that Scott was watching the door before she opened it, which meant that she met his gaze as soon as she opened the door.

She pursed her lips somewhat shyly under Scott's gaze, then leaned against the door and straightened her body.

"Harry Potter and Ron Weasley?"

Scott spoke slowly and deliberately, his voice somewhat low.

He is still going through puberty, and in order to avoid his voice cracking and embarrassing himself, he always subconsciously slows down his speech and lowers his voice.

“I’m sorry, Miss Granger, I didn’t see those two gentlemen.” He shook his head at Hermione Granger and answered her politely.

Of course, he knew that the two boys were probably flying in the sky in a car.

"Oh, thank you."

Hermione Granger quickly thanked him and then glanced at the book in his hand—"A Vacation with a She-Devil".

On the book's cover, Gerard Lockhart's photo shows her giving a silly, "charming" smile.

Scott was somewhat surprised that she hadn't left. He asked, "Is there anything else you need, Miss Granger?"

The little witch raised an eyebrow and spoke rapidly, "Were you just reading 'A Vacation with a She-Devil'? I need to apologize for interrupting your wonderful reading time, but I don't know your name yet. Oh, by the way, do you know me?"

Scott chuckled softly. "Of course I know you. Miss Granger, who protected the Philosopher's Stone with 'Savior' Mr. Potter last year and contributed fifty points to Gryffindor's House Cup at the end of the school year. By the way, Scott Trollope, Ravenclaw, about to enter her fourth year."

“Oh, thank you, Mr. Trollope. And I’m really sorry to have interrupted your reading…”

Hermione Granger continued speaking at an extremely fast pace.

Scott was about to say goodbye when he didn't expect her to finish speaking...

"...Of course, I've already finished that book, and it's really good. I mean, Professor Lockhart's books are all amazing, absolutely fantastic. This year's Defense Against the Dark Arts class is something to look forward to, isn't it? Well then, see you at Hogwarts."

After quickly finishing her long speech, she left the cubicle, closed the door behind her, and hurriedly departed.

She's such a fiery and energetic girl.

Scott shook his head and then fell into thought.

He mentally reviewed the general "plot" that had unfolded this school year—Voldemort's diary, one of his seven Horcruxes, would control Ginny Weasley, the youngest daughter of the Weasleys, to open the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin and release the Basilisk to attack Muggle-born students.

This plot is extremely unfriendly to him, a Muggle-born wizard. He can't guarantee he won't one day encounter a deadly basilisk in the school corridor.

It seems I can't get through this school year any longer—Scott thought, having already managed to do so for three years.
