The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

It was not protected by magical items.
Surprisingly, it actually worked!
Scott, who was just trying it out, smiled happily.
He used the Joy Charm, which third-year students at Hogwarts learn.
This is a kind of spell that can bring people genuine happiness. Usually, students only use it for jokes and pranks, or to comfort their friends who are heartbroken.
But Scott always felt it had many uses, and even thought the spell could counteract a lot of black magic that required negative emotions to dominate.
With Dumbledore protecting us and our opponent being a dark wizard, this is the perfect opportunity to verify our conjectures.
So he used the spell without hesitation.
He won his bet!
This is not a harmful attack spell, and it is not protected against by magical items.
But for Axley, who was currently controlling the Fiendfire, this feeling of genuine joy was fatal.
Fiendfire is the devil's flame; it requires the caster's intense hatred and this dark emotion to nourish it.
Just as Scott guessed, a person who is genuinely happy may not actually be able to use most of the dark magic.
Unless they are truly insane people who find pleasure in killing and darkness.
boom!
The raging fires were out of control, and Yaxley could no longer manage them.
They began to expand, swirling back towards Yaxley and Carlo.
"Run!"
Yaxley turned and ran, and Scott saw the happy smile on his face.
"What's going on!"
Carlo almost screamed.
Yaxley cursed with a grin, "...The Pleasure Spell! Fiendfire is out of control!"
But the two of them seemed to have underestimated the speed at which the Fiery Blaze spread; the flames, radiating a terrifying aura, caught up with them almost instantly.
Carlo's buttocks were burned, and he let out a sharp howl like a little girl, jumping high into the air.
"Help me!" he cried out.
But Yaxley ran faster, running without looking back.
At the critical moment, a rope shot out from the woods and tied Yaxley and Carlo tightly together.
Then, the two were lifted into the air by the rope, escaping the encirclement of the raging fire.
Dumbledore emerged from the woods at a leisurely pace and caught the two wands that fell from the sky.
His long, silvery-white hair and beard, as well as the crescent-shaped glasses on his nose, gleamed in the firelight.
He didn't look at Yaxley and Carol, whom he had left aside, nor at Scott.
He glanced at the rapidly spreading flames before crouching down.
"All curses end!"
The Elder Wand in his hand emitted a golden light, which he then plunged into the ground with a backhand motion.
The golden light also spread rapidly, instantly covering all the ground where fierce flames had been ignited.
The fierce flames were extinguished.
"Scott."
Dumbledore turned to look at Scott.
"As far as I know, you don't have enough time left for the challenge."
"Yes, Professor!"
Scott snapped out of his daze and quickly ran towards the spider's nest.
He passed by the two men tied to the ground and returned a smile to the beaming Yaxley.
He thought that this eloquent wizard should end up in Azkaban like his cousin Travers.
Scott ran to the spider's nest as fast as he could.
"Petrify them all!"
"Petrify them all!"
Two petrification spells flew out and struck the two large spiders guarding the entrance to the nest.
"Crushed to pieces!"
"Crushed to pieces!"
Two shattering spells turned them into dust.
Scott walked past them without stopping and entered the nest covered with white spider silk.
The spiderlings in the nest seemed unaware of the commotion at the entrance. Scott heard a rustling sound, along with the distinctive sucking sound, which made his scalp tingle.
"Flames are raging!"
The flickering flames landed, and the thick spider silk immediately burst into flames.
"Flames are raging!"
Scott walked around, setting fires at random, until the spider's nest was ablaze.
He then emerged from the flames and billowing smoke of the spiderlings amidst their mournful cries and foul odor.
Chapter 139 Doubts, Accusations, and Time Travel
After Scott left the spider's nest, he took out his flying broom again and flew around the nest.
"Clear water like a spring (Aguamanent)!"
Whenever a flame went beyond the boundary, he would extinguish it with a water-controlling spell.
He only extinguished the water by repeatedly using the Water Control Spell when he could no longer sense any magical fluctuations from the nest.
At the same time, he could clearly sense through the contract that his challenge had been completed.
The result was unbelievably smooth.
Scott didn't even feel any joy in completing the challenge.
There's definitely something fishy going on here!
He thought it with certainty.
But... what exactly is Medea's purpose?
He had always believed that Medea had done all this to make him fail in his challenge, and he was mentally prepared to fail.
But he actually succeeded?
Although the challenge involved many unexpected obstacles and troublesome battles, ...
If Medea didn't want him to succeed in his challenge, she could simply have someone capture a small spider and hide it, wouldn't that have sufficed?
Scott couldn't believe she wouldn't have thought of such a simple way to stop her!
So what exactly is her purpose?
Why present such a challenging project?
Why should he notify Carlo and Yaxley, who are hostile to him?
Why create obstacles without putting in your full effort?
Scott was completely baffled at that moment.
Just then, he sensed Dumbledore approaching.
So he put aside his complicated thoughts, landed on the ground, put away his broom, and looked in the direction Dumbledore had come from.
Before long, the dark woods lit up, and Dumbledore, bathed in warm light, appeared before him as he passed through the forest.
Several orange orbs of light floated around him, and Yaxley and Carlo, bound by ropes, also floated behind him.
Scott could see the expression on Yaxley's face; he was filled with shame, embarrassment, and anger.
Carlo, on the other hand, seemed much calmer, probably because he had enjoyed this treatment more than once.
"Professor!" Scott rushed over. "How are Professor Flitwick and Ms. Gray? Are they alright?"
Dumbledore calmly replied, "They were ambushed by an unknown wizard. I found traces of Portkey use at the scene, and Severus has already gone to the Ministry of Magic for help."
"Professor, who could take Ms. Grey away?" Scott had been curious about this question.
Dumbledore smiled. "You haven't seen enough magic, Scott."
Scott nodded, quite intrigued by the magic that could reach ghosts.
I wonder if his full-time tutor—the portrait of Ravenclaw—knew this information.
Dumbledore glanced at the completely burned-out eight-eyed spider's nest behind Scott, his eyes flashing.
He asked, "So you've already completed the challenge, Scott?"
Scott replied, “I can feel the change in the contract. I have indeed completed the challenge, Professor.”
"That's good."
Dumbledore smiled at first, then immediately looked somewhat worried.
"I have a feeling Hagrid is going to have a good cry. To be honest, he's a much tougher person to deal with when he cries than the Eight-Eyed Spider."
Is this why you've allowed dangerous monsters like the Eight-Eyed Spider to thrive and multiply in the Forbidden Forest for so many years?
Scott really wanted to just complain.
I don't believe you, you old rascal!
