He directly stated what he perceived through his magic.
"The crown contains two completely different kinds of magic, one peaceful and the other extremely evil."
"Sure enough."
Dumbledore sighed.
"Tom, that guy has defiled this treasure that belongs to Ravenclaw."
“Albus?” Professor Flitwick turned to look at him.
"Soul Weapon".
At that moment, Ravenclaw's voice rang out, and her portrait appeared on the blank wall next to the cabinet.
"I never imagined that someone would turn my crown into a Horcrux."
She stared at the gray crown on the wizard statue's head, her expression unreadable.
"Is it the Dark Lord you mentioned, the descendant of Medea, who stuffed his broken and ugly soul fragments into my crown?"
“Hordeals!” Professor Flitwick screamed. “Evil, so evil! This is unforgivable!”
Dumbledore murmured, "That's right. When I seized that notebook, I knew Tom had made a Horcrux. That's why he didn't die completely."
His expression was very serious.
"I think he may have made far more Horcruxes than just the two we've discovered."
"Dirty liar!"
Ms. Gray suddenly roared angrily.
"That wretched Riddle! He has defiled the crown! That shameful bastard! That lying fraud! That damned thief! That evil scoundrel!"
"Alright, Helena."
In the painting, Ravenclaw stops her from cursing.
"Mother……"
Ms. Gray burst into tears and curled up against the wall.
"Dear Madam Ravenclaw."
At this point, Dumbledore asked Ravenclaw a question in the painting.
"What suggestions do you have regarding the disposal of this crown?"
Chapter 169 Discussing Horcruxes with Dumbledore
In the painting, Ravenclaw glances at Dumbledore and beckons to Lady Grey, who is curled up in a ball, crying sadly.
"Come here, Helena."
"Mother……"
Ms. Gray slowly raised her head.
"come over."
Ravenclaw looked at her tenderly.
"Yes."
Ms. Gray slowly rose and floated to the portrait.
A flash of white light, and her body vanished.
Immediately afterwards, Helena, depicted as a young girl, appeared in the painting.
“Mother?” She stared blankly at Ravenclaw. “What am I?”
"Helena, my daughter."
Ravenclaw gently embraced her.
"You can live with me in the painting for now; your portrait can serve as your support."
Scott watched this scene in astonishment.
As expected of Ravenclaw, they managed to pull Lady Grey, who is a ghost, into the painting.
Such methods are utterly incomprehensible.
"This……"
He heard Dumbledore muttering in surprise.
"This is truly amazing magic..."
At this moment, Ravenclaw turned his head to look at the three people outside the painting.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “Please take the crown to the room I was in. I will try to remove that fragment of soul.”
After she finished speaking, the painting immediately sank into the wall and disappeared.
"Albus!" Professor Flitwick asked excitedly, "Horregularities... can actually be reversed?"
Dumbledore shook his head.
“I never knew,” he said with a sigh. “It seems that on the path of magic, no one can claim to have reached the end.”
He then looked at Scott.
“It seems you already know something about Horcruxes, Scott.”
Scott nodded.
“Medea also survived thanks to Horcruxes,” he said. “After hearing about it, I made a point of looking into it.”
Dumbledore nodded without asking him how he knew about it.
"What are your thoughts on Horcruxes?" he asked with great interest.
"That requires splitting one's own soul."
Scott shook his head in disapproval.
"It sounds like a lich from Muggle fantasy novels, who are usually incorrigible lunatics."
"So that's what you were thinking?" Dumbledore said with a chuckle. "But..."
He pretended to be talking badly about someone behind their back but was afraid of being discovered, saying, "I think both Tom and Medea are really crazy."
Of course, many people in the magical world also call you the old madman.
Scott thought to himself.
“To me, splitting one’s soul is tantamount to self-harm,” Scott said frankly. “I don’t think it’s a good thing.”
He genuinely believed that the integrity of the soul should be the most important thing for a person.
“Of course, you’re right, Scott!” Professor Flitwick said immediately in a praising tone.
Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction.
“Unfortunately, Tom didn’t think that way,” he said regretfully. “He got lost in the pursuit of power.”
Scott dismissively said, "That's just his personal choice."
He simply let loose in front of Dumbledore as well.
After all, he knew he couldn't fake his true feelings in front of this old man.
As expected, Dumbledore wasn't surprised by his words, but simply asked curiously, "Why do you say that?"
Scott replied, "To gain power, the Dark Lord doesn't mind becoming a monster; he believes power is the most important thing. But I've always believed that I must be a human being; being human is more important to me than power."
Humans are the most intelligent of all beings.
This idea was deeply ingrained in his mind.
"Yes, that's a novel way of putting it; it's the first time I've heard of it."
Dumbledore seemed very interested in his ideas.
"Then you must think that wizards and Muggles are both human beings and are the same species."
“That’s right.” Scott nodded. “Like barn owls and owls, although they are different, they are both owls.”
"Oh, I love your metaphor!"
Dumbledore let out a pleasant laugh.
At this point, Professor Flitwick rubbed his hands together and said, "Let's send the crown over as soon as possible."
He seemed impatient.
"Alright."
Dumbledore took out the Elder Wand and waved it, causing the crown to fly up.
They then left the huge room the way they came.
Back in the hallway, Scott opened Helena's study.
The eagle-shaped brass ring on the door seemed to recognize him and opened the door the moment it saw him.
Scott thanked him and went inside.
"You've arrived."
Scott looked in the direction of the sound and saw that Helena in the painting no longer had a lively demeanor.
"Ms. Grey?"
“Just call me Helena,” Helena said. “Ms. Grey was originally just a rumor.”
"Okay, Helena."
Scott smiled.
"Go inside, your mother is waiting for you."
Helena glanced at the crown, which was being controlled by Dumbledore and was flying through the air, and opened the door to the inner room.
