Jacob let out a long sigh and leaned back lazily on the sofa.

"Thank you, Scott."

He looked up at the starry dome of the common room, his tone somewhat indistinct.

"I feel much more relaxed, like winter has ended and I've finally taken off my heavy cotton-padded coat."

Scott laughed and said, "Being too tense is no small matter; you might age prematurely."

"Scott, Jacob."

At that moment, Luna, wearing a pair of slippers, walked over and sat down on the sofa next to her.

What are you talking about?

She stared at the two boys with wide, curious eyes.

"what?"

Suddenly, her eyes widened even more, and she leaned closer to stare at Jacob.

“Jacob,” she said evasively, “who helped you drive away the harassing horseflies?”

“A harassing horsefly?” Jacob looked puzzled.

Scott leaned back on the sofa and said with a smile, "She means you have a lot less negative emotions."

Before Jacob could answer, Luna turned to Scott and asked, "Is that how you say it?"

“You can try to communicate with them in a way that others can understand,” Scott suggested.

Luna tilted her head and thought for a moment, then shook her head and said, "But I don't want to lie."

“That’s settled then,” Scott added. “If you don’t want to, you don’t have to change yourself for someone else.”

"Oh, I think you're right."

Luna clapped her hands happily and burst into laughter.

A few seconds later, her laughter stopped abruptly.

Under the watchful eyes of Scott and Jacob, she calmly took out a magazine called "The Quibbler" from her knitted handbag and quietly began to read it.

Scott then turned around and, seeing Jacob's somewhat bewildered expression, shrugged helplessly.

Jacob pursed his lips and started talking to Scott about the problems he had encountered in his studies.

Of course, Scott realized he was actually a little nervous.

After Scott answered, Jacob visibly relaxed again.

As curfew approached, Jacob asked Scott one last question.

"If that were the time when we agreed to have three Transfiguration lessons..." he asked curiously, "If I had asked you for advice back then, like I am now, would you have answered me?"

Scott thought for a moment and replied, "Maybe, but not with the same patience as now."

"Why?" Jacob asked.

“Think about how you did that day, kid,” Scott said with a laugh.

“Well, maybe I really am not likable like that,” Jacob said. “No wonder you’ve been keeping your distance from me before.”

Scott waved his hand dismissively and said bluntly, "You should be more confident and drop the 'maybe'."

Scott got up very early the next morning.

He took advantage of the fact that most people were still asleep and went to the corridor where the Requirement Room was located.

Scott silently recited Helena's study name, walked back and forth in the corridor three times, and then the familiar door appeared before him.

"Oh, it's you, kid."

The eagle-shaped door knocker on the door opened its eyes and glanced at him.

"Go in."

"Thank you."

Scott pushed the door open, went inside, and closed it behind him.

Good morning, Scott.

Helena remained in the portrait in the study.

Good morning, Helena.

Scott glanced at her in the painting a few times.

He asked curiously, "Will you be in the painting from now on?"

“Of course not.” Helena shook her head. “My temporary abode in the painting is only due to my mother’s magic. I will return once my mother is gone.”

Scott was somewhat surprised, "You're coming back? I thought..."

“I know what you’re trying to say,” Helena said with a smile. “You think that once I’m free of my obsessions as a ghost, I’ll leave completely?”

Scott was a little embarrassed, but he nodded nonetheless.

Helena shook her head. "No, I can't do that. Although I also want to embrace death as soon as possible, I am a Ravenclaw ghost and cannot leave for the time being."

Scott inexplicably recalled the magic Dumbledore had used when he tried to bind Medea.

"Is it because of the magic that Dumbledore used?" he asked directly.

“That’s only one reason,” Helena said. “Right now, all I can tell you is that the existence of the ghosts in the various houses is meaningful.”

Upon hearing this answer, Scott knew she was about to reveal the real reason, so he stopped pressing for an answer.

Helena then said, "You may have heard of Myrtle?"

The Weeping Myrtle?

Scott nodded.

Helena sighed softly, "I did consider having her take over my position, but her personality is completely unsuitable."

Scott nodded again.

Just imagine, if a ghost who likes to crawl into toilets and only knows how to whine and cry represented Ravenclaw, that image...

“I understand, she’s definitely not a good fit,” Scott said definitively.

Helena laughed and walked into the huge landscape painting, where a door appeared behind the frame.

"Go inside first." She waved to Scott and then disappeared.

Scott stepped forward and pushed open the door.

"Good morning," he greeted the Ravenclaw figure in the painting. "Professor Ravenclaw."

"Good morning."

Ravenclaw smiled with a hint of curiosity.

"It's been a long time since I've heard a child call me professor."

“From now on, you will be my professor,” Scott said with a smile.

"Of course, my promise is valid."

Ravenclaw smiled kindly.

"but……"

She suddenly changed the subject.

"I let you in today because I was afraid you wouldn't feel at ease, so I made sure to assure you that I wouldn't break my promise."

Scott quickly replied, "Of course..."

Ravenclaw raised his hand to stop Scott from speaking again.

Scott obediently shut his mouth.

“You can go now,” Ravenclaw said. “Don’t disturb our time together, mother and daughter.”

She looked at Helena, who was in the same frame as her, her eyes filled with tenderness.

Scott froze on the spot upon hearing this.

What does it mean?

At that moment, Ravenclaw looked at him again.

“My time is running out,” she said. “Of course, after Helena returns to Ravenclaw Tower, she will bring you here again, and then the real portrait of me will be left here.”

"I see."

Scott breathed a sigh of relief.

"Then I won't bother you any longer."

He bowed.

"Professor Ravenclaw."

After saying that, he left the room.

Chapter 188 Seizing Every Opportunity

After lunch that day, Scott and Jacob returned to the empty classroom.

This time, Scott deliberately chose an empty classroom without desks or chairs.

"To be honest, I'm curious too."

Scott looked at Jacob and said.

"As a normal little wizard like you, I wonder if my magical fluctuations can resonate with your magic, and if they do, what the consequences will be."

Jacob laughed and said, "It can't get any worse than it is now."

Scott reminded him, "Be prepared that even the best-case scenario will only make your magical fluctuations a little more active."

Scott knew very well that doing so would neither enhance Jacob's magic nor improve his talents.
