He glanced back, then strode quickly toward the castle.

He went straight to the auditorium, where most of the students were already seated at the long tables.

“Here, Scott.” Roger waved to him.

Scott walked over and sat down next to his roommates.

"Where did you go?" Eddie asked him curiously.

Scott smiled but did not answer.

Eddie pouted in dissatisfaction. "Okay, all mysterious."

Scott ignored him.

At this point, Roger and Milton began to discuss Muggle life in London.

Milton isn't planning to go home for the summer vacation.

His mother left him an apartment in London.

“Milton, do you have any Muggle money?” Eddie interjected. “You have to live, maybe I can lend you some.”

Milton shook his head. "My mother left me a Muggle bank card."

He smiled and said, "Maybe I need someone to teach me how to withdraw money from a Muggle bank."

“It’s alright, I can take you there,” Roger said.

“Your summer in the Muggle world is fine,” Scott reminded him, “but what about the Galleons you’ll need next semester?”

Milton said, "Should I go to Gringotts and exchange Muggle coins for some Galleons?"

Eddie shook his head. "That's a perk only for Muggle-born wizards, and it requires a certificate from Hogwarts. Plus, the amount you can get is limited, so you have to be careful with it."

“That’s why Eddie and I both try to earn some Galleons ourselves,” Scott added.

“Perhaps Milton could ask Professor Flitwick for help,” Roger said. “Getting a certificate from the school shouldn’t be too difficult.”

Scott also thought this should work, "Go ask the professors, we only got that certificate after we enrolled."

“When we first enrolled, professors from the school guided us, and no supporting documents were required,” Eddie added.

“I understand.” Milton nodded.

After dinner, Milton went to Professor Flitwick's office.

Scott and his companions were taking a walk outside the castle.

This day is Wednesday.

Exam results will be announced on Thursday, followed by an end-of-year dinner. Early Friday morning, the students will depart on the Hogwarts Express.

With the holiday approaching, everyone is letting loose these days.

Even after dinner and it was dark, the area outside the castle was still full of students.

Scott and his companions were taking a aimless stroll when they unknowingly found themselves back at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

Then, under the watchful eyes of three pairs of people, Savannah emerged from the pitch-black Forbidden Forest.

When she saw Scott and his group, her expression immediately changed.

Scott knew... she probably thought he had called his companions to ambush her.

Isn't this just making my performance all for nothing?

Seeing her extremely wary expression, Scott quickly asked, "Sawana?"

He looked at her in surprise.

"Why did you go into the forbidden forest all by yourself?" He shook his head disapprovingly. "It's dangerous."

“Yeah!” Eddie nodded. “Even if you can punch a Slytherin, you certainly can’t punch a troll.”

Roger chimed in, "Dinner time is over now. You'd better hurry to the kitchen and ask the house-elves for some more food."

As Eddie and Roger talked, Scott saw Savannah gradually relax.

"Thank you... thank you all."

She muttered something under her breath, glanced at Scott again, and ran away quickly.

"That girl is a bit strange." Eddie stroked his chin and turned to watch the girl's retreating figure.

"I never expected that Savannah, who usually seems so quiet, would have this side to her."

Roger was also somewhat surprised.

"He punched the boy away and dared to sneak into the forbidden forest all by himself. He was bolder than the average boy."

Chapter 230 The Rat That Lived for 12 Years

After saying goodbye to Savannah, the three continued walking along the edge of the forbidden forest.

Soon, they saw Harry and his two friends coming out of Hagrid's hut.

Good evening, Harry, Ron, Hermione.

As the trio approached, Scott took the initiative to greet them.

“This is Roger, and this is Eddie.”

He then pointed to his two roommates.

Harry and his two companions stopped to greet them.

"You went to find Hagrid?"

Scott asked casually, but his eyes were fixed on the mouse that was fast asleep in Ron's hand.

Ron replied, "Oh, yes, Hagrid hasn't been in a good mood ever since those damn spiders finally died."

“Hey! Ron! Don’t say that. That’s Hagrid’s friend. He’s already heartbroken enough,” Hermione couldn’t help but scold him.

“Yeah,” Ron said, shaking his head. “Hagrid’s cannibalistic friends.”

Harry patted Ron on the shoulder and sighed. "I really wish Hagrid could make some normal friends."

Even Hermione couldn't help but nod in agreement.

But when Ron turned to look at her, she proudly raised her chin.

Scott, meanwhile, was inwardly grumbling.

As far as he knew, Professor Kettleburn, who taught the Conservation of Magical Creatures class, was retiring at the end of the semester.

If nothing unexpected happens, Hagrid will take office next semester.

Given his interests, the next semester's Magical Creatures Protection class is likely to be a complete mess.

But right now Scott is more interested in the rat in Ron's hand.

"Is this your pet?" he said to Ron. "It doesn't look very good."

“Oh…yes, this is Scabbers.” Ron lowered his head and stroked the gray mouse, saying somewhat embarrassedly, “It’s very old and useless, it’s always sleeping.”

"This is an amazing mouse. It has been in Ron's house for almost 12 years. It used to be Percy's pet."

Seeing that Scott seemed interested in the mouse, Harry helped to explain.

"It usually sleeps in its dorm room, and Ron wants Hagrid to check if it's dying."

“That’s normal, isn’t it?” Ron said sadly. “I mean, it’s old and dying, and there’s nothing that can be changed.”

As he spoke, he affectionately stroked the rat's not-so-good-looking fur.

Hermione comforted Ron, "Scabbers is really strong. I've never heard of an ordinary mouse living this long."

“12 years? Maybe it has some magical animal bloodline.” Eddie couldn’t help but lean closer to Ron to examine the rat more closely.

“No, it’s just an ordinary mouse,” Ron said, frowning. “Its only advantage is that it lives longer than other mice.”

"Can I take a look?" Scott asked, feigning interest.

“Oh.” Ron held out his hand. “It’s nothing serious, it’s just a mouse.”

Scott reached out and patted the mouse's back.

“Indeed.” He nodded. “I can’t sense any magic in its body.”

Ron withdrew his hand and sighed, "I hope it can make it through the summer, otherwise, my parents won't have the money to buy me a new pet."

At this point, Roger said, "Having pets is too much trouble. Neither Scott nor I have any."

“I remember you have a raven?” Harry looked at Scott. “Oh, and I remember it beat Malfoy.”

As he spoke, he couldn't help but laugh.

“I created that using Transfiguration,” Scott said softly, making a shushing gesture.

“Okay, I won’t tell anyone.” Harry said with a hint of schadenfreude. “Malfoy still doesn’t know whose raven pecked him.”

They chatted for a few more minutes before going their separate ways.

Once Harry and the others were out of sight, Roger immediately said, "Scott, is there something wrong with that rat?"

“I think so too,” Eddie said, looking at Scott as well.

“Why do you say that?” Scott asked.

Roger chuckled. "Heh, you're not the kind of person who's interested in rats, even if that rat is abnormally long-lived."

Eddie continued, "Not to mention deliberately touching it with your hands."

“Okay.” Scott shrugged. “You guys really know me.”

"Tell me quickly," Eddie asked eagerly, intrigued. "What exactly happened?"

Scott said directly, "I suspect that rat is some wizard's Animagus."

"what?"

Roger and Eddie stared wide-eyed and exclaimed in surprise.

“While I’m not 100% sure, I think there’s a very high chance,” Scott said.
