Rimbaud obediently landed on his arm.

“See that? My little cabin,” Scott asked with a smile.

"Oh, incredible! I saw it!" Rimbaud exclaimed excitedly, leaping into the air again. "This is so interesting!"

Chapter 268 Yaxley Reduced by Two

On the night of June 22, Rimbaud drove Scott across the dark ocean and stopped on a towering cliff overlooking the sea on the Isle of Man.

This is an island in the sea between England and Ireland.

"I never imagined there were wizards hiding on this island," Scott remarked casually after landing. "I remember this island was a British Crown Property."

He stood atop the cliff, facing the sea breeze as he looked down at the dark sea in the night.

A few crows cawed.

Scott turned to look behind him. "Are the crows here?"

As he spoke, he activated the [severed arm bone] in his pocket and waved his wand to restore Rimbaud to his normal size.

Several crows flew through the night and landed in front of him, cawing at Rimbaud a few more times.

“Come on, Scott,” Rimbaud said to Scott. “They say the Alex family’s castle is over there.”

It flew slowly toward the other side of the cliff along with several crows.

Scott touched his wand to himself, casting an illusion spell on himself.

A cool sensation enveloped his entire body, and he slowly blended into his surroundings.

"I'll catch up."

He responded and followed behind them.

The moonlight was dim, and Scott had no way to find a light, so he could only walk slowly. It took him quite a while to reach his destination with the help of crows.

Is that the place?

He stood atop a cliff jutting out over the sea, looking down into the bay at the small castle that seemed to be nestled into the rugged cliff face.

The castle was brightly lit and bustling with people. Although he couldn't hear anything from there, it was clearly very lively.

Scott took out his pocket watch, glanced at it, and said softly, "The banquet is almost over."

By the time the crows found the Yaxley family castle using the method he described, the banquet was about to begin. He and Rimbaud arrived only after receiving the news, by which time the banquet was already nearing its end.

"Closer."

Scott narrowed his eyes, activated his full magical perception, and slowly walked towards the cliff above the castle.

However, he stopped when he was about a kilometer away from the top of the castle.

He sensed the magical fluctuations ahead.

It's obvious that as the foundation of a pure-blooded family, it must be protected by powerful protective magic.

He decided to go down first and then talk about it.

Scott took a flying broom from the lizard skin bag, mounted it, and flew straight off the cliff.

He made the decision to come in person at the last minute.

Of course, he wasn't trying to risk sneaking into the castle to do anything; he just thought it best to observe it up close himself.

Riding his flying broomstick, Scott arrived at a dock hidden among the rocks below the cliff.

At this moment, a rather old and ornate wooden sailboat was moored on the dock.

Scott looked up at the castle above; there was indeed an exceptionally steep path leading directly to the castle gate.

Instead of rushing over, he left a listening bat on the rocks next to the dock, then flew away on his broom.

He circled along the cliff for a while, finally hiding in the shadows of a huge rock crevice above the dock.

Rimbaud followed him and flew inside.

Before long, he saw several flying carriages take off from the castle, piercing the night sky and heading into the distance.

It seems the banquet is over.

Scott and Rimbaud remained silent, continuing to wait quietly.

About 20 minutes later, the group followed the steep path to the dock.

Their voices soon reached Scott's ears.

Scott listened for a while, and his brows immediately relaxed.

Among the crowd were two members of the Yaxley family: Liam Yaxley, the heir to the Yaxley family, and Jacques Yaxley, the newly crowned Duel Champion. They were clearly seeing off their guests.

This is truly a rare and wonderful opportunity.

Scott made the decisive decision to take action.

He could tell that the guests were not British wizards; their accents suggested they were from France.

Scott paid no attention to the Frenchmen.

He simply watched the Frenchmen board the ship and leave, and watched the two Yaxleys wave goodbye to the departing vessel.

The sailboat accelerated away instantly after starting.

This surprised Scott, who was curious about the actual power source of the sailboat.

But he didn't have time to think about it right now; instead, he was closely watching the conversation between the two Yaxleys.

“Thank you for your hard work, Brother Liam,” Jacques Yaxley said to Liam Yaxley in a respectful tone.

Liam Yaxley simply said, "It's nothing. I just hope you can inherit everything from the Traverse family smoothly, and then my brother and I can work together to make Yaxley and Traverse prosperous."

His voice was hoarse, and he deliberately emphasized his tone, which was extremely annoying.

But Jacques Yaxley was clearly used to it, and he replied with some excitement, "I will try my best, brother Liam."

As they spoke, the two began to walk back.

The listening bat followed the two at a distance.

Scott waited quietly until they reached the bottom of the crevice in the rock where he was.

The listening bat flew up silently and slipped into Scott's robe.

At this point, Scott could directly hear the two Yaxleys talking.

He heard Liam Yax say in an unpleasant tone, "The rivals chosen by those two families also made an appearance at the dinner. What do you think of them, Jack?"

"Don't worry, Brother Liam, I am the most suitable person for Travers," Jak Yaxley said confidently.

"Hmph, of course the Travers family's portraits will choose you!"

Liam Yaxley gave a smug, cold laugh.

"Just as Father said, Travers needs a wizard who can directly take over the family, not a seedling that still needs to be nurtured."

Jak quickly agreed and showered their father with praise from afar.

Scott smiled in the darkness through a crevice in the rocks above.

He opened a seemingly ordinary matchbox in his hand.

The midges, which melt in your mouth, were already silently flying downwards under his personal control.

After Burke's death, these useful little flying insects became his "always-on weapon".

At that moment, Scott perceived that tiny insects, almost invisible to the naked eye, had taken advantage of the two Mr. Yaxleys talking to fly into their mouths.

Their outer layer is essentially glutinous rice paper, which melts when it comes into contact with saliva.

This is equivalent to the transformation being broken, and it will be restored to its original state in an instant.

The two Yaxleys came to their senses, but it was too late; the deadly poison had already dissolved in their mouths.

"What is this?!" Liam Yaxley roared in fury.

"Brother!" Jak exclaimed, then his voice trailed off, "I...I also...this..."

Scott then watched as the two men collapsed to the ground.

With a "snap," a house-elf suddenly appeared, shrieking as it dragged the two brothers away and disappeared from the spot.

Immediately afterwards, with another "snap" sound, an old man with white hair appeared.

The aged-looking wizard immediately turned to look in Scott's direction and decisively waved his wand.

Avada Kedavra!

A leaping green light flew toward the crevice in the rock.

At the critical moment, Scott, who was holding Rimbaud, activated the silver snake necklace on his wrist and vanished without a trace.

Chapter 269 The Silent Counterattack of a Minor Character

The world spins, time and space shift.

At the last second, Scott activated the portal key and traveled back to the raven territory in the Scottish Highlands forest, only to be slammed to the ground once again.

However, his performance this time was better than the previous two times.

At least he no longer lay on the ground eating fallen leaves in a sorry state; instead, he nimbly rolled over after landing and sat up.

Rimbaud had already emerged from his arms the moment he was thrown from mid-air and was now flying and circling above his head.

"Oh my god! Oh my god!" it yelled. "Scott! That green light! Was that the Killing Curse you mentioned? We almost died just now!"

"It was indeed very close." Scott was still shaken.

He hadn't expected the house-elves of the Yaxley family and that old man to react so quickly.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but touch the silver snake necklace wrapped around his left wrist with his right hand.

Without this special key that allows for extremely rapid and untraceable spatial movement, he would probably have been in serious trouble just now.

They might die from that deadly curse.
