Kayla turned to the new students and smiled. "You don't need to introduce yourselves to us, and we won't bother to remember your names."

She paused, then said to the bewildered freshmen, "There are only two ways to make us remember your names: either you make mistakes and cause us trouble, or you are so outstanding that we look at you differently."

Scott laughed, "These things will become apparent in the days to come, and hopefully you will be the latter."

After saying that, the two fifth-graders continued to stride forward with a carefree air, and the freshmen, not having time to be surprised, hurriedly jogged to catch up.

"This is the most exciting moment I've had since becoming a prefect."

Kayla whispered to Scott.

"I've wanted to try saying these words to the new students for a long time. You know, I was really nervous about these words when I enrolled."

Scott nodded in agreement.

This is the kind of perverse sense of humor that has been passed down through generations of Ravenclaws.

To accommodate the first-graders with their short legs, they deliberately slowed down their pace.

Scott glanced back again. "A smart Ravenclaw should be memorizing this route by now, so they won't be late for class tomorrow morning because they're lost."

Then he was pleased to see the freshmen's expressions change, and several of the little guys who had been looking around earlier began to seriously memorize the route.

The group walked through the corridors and turned several corners before finally arriving at the foot of the Ravenclaw Tower, located on the west side of the castle.

"This is the west tower of the castle, commonly known as the Ravenclaw Tower. Since the element representing Ravenclaw is wind, our common rooms and dormitories are located at the top of the tower."

After introducing the tower to the new students, Kayla led them inside and up the spiral staircase.

"Be careful!" she warned anxiously. "Last year when school started, a girl fell down the stairs!"

To prevent any accidents, Scott deliberately stayed behind to cover the rear.

He waved his wand. "Of course, even if you fall down the stairs, I'll catch you."

But the freshmen didn't seem comforted; instead, they appeared even more nervous.

Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened this year, and they arrived at the entrance to the common lounge without incident.

Scott stood by the door, briefly explained the eagle-shaped bronze door knocker, and demonstrated how to answer questions about it.

Will liars be honest after they die?

"No, they won't. They still lie after they die."

After entering the common room, the two faced the freshmen again and said their last few words to them.

"Congratulations on becoming a member of Ravenclaw House."

"Hopefully, your performance will earn you more recognition from the Ravenclaws in the future."

"Only in this way will your names be known to more people in this academy."

"Next, we will lead the boys and girls into your dorm rooms separately."

Scott led the boys to their dormitory door, then turned and went back to his own dormitory.

"Hey! Scott!" Eddie asked eagerly upon seeing him, "How did the freshmen react after hearing what you guys said?"

Scott shrugged. "Panic, bewildered. Just like you used to be."

Roger laughed heartily, "Eddie was worse off, after all, he was assigned to a dorm room with three second-year students."

As he spoke, he stood in the center of the dormitory and began to awkwardly imitate how Eddie had first entered the dormitory.

“Hello... I... I'm Eddie Cammitchell, a student who enrolled this year. Because... because there weren't enough dorm rooms... I was assigned here..."

He imitated Eddie quite well, only exaggerating Eddie's tone and expression several times over.

"Hey!"

Eddie gritted his teeth, yelled, and angrily pounced on him.

Scott walked past the two men who were wrestling, carrying a basket.

He took a shower and then went back to his dorm room to lie on his bed and look at the new class schedule.

“Tomorrow is Thursday, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is tomorrow afternoon,” Milton said. “I wonder how good Professor Black’s teaching is.”

Scott said, "In any case, it will definitely be better than Professor Quirrell and Professor Lockhart from the previous two years."

“It’s a pity we’re in class with Hufflepuff,” Eddie suddenly said regretfully, “so we won’t get to see Professor Black deducting points from Slytherins.”

Scott laughed and said, "Are you sure Blake will be like Snape?"

“Of course,” Roger said confidently, “he will definitely go head-to-head with Snape!”

Scott understood that at least many people in Ravenclaw were probably waiting to see Snape and Black make a scene.

Of course, Scott was waiting to see.

Bright's personality is completely different from Lupin in the "original book". He looks very flamboyant and is not a patient person.

Scott always felt that he and Snape might actually fight at any time.

Chapter 277 Eavesdropping, Development, and Letters

"I can't believe Millison missed the start of school this year."

"What, you didn't know? Something happened to the Burst family."

"Something's happened again? Is it because of the Travers family's succession?"

“That’s right, Milison’s father was attacked and is now lying in St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Injuries. We don’t know if he can be saved.”

“My dad said that either Yaxley or Foley did the attack.”

In the morning, Scott sat at the long table in the Great Hall, slowly eating his breakfast, listening to the whispers of several third-year Slytherin students.

Scott got up very early.

Before the other students arrived, he had a listening bat hang upside down under the Slytherin table.

At this point, the participants in the discussion were Malfoy and his two hulking henchmen, Ben Crabbe and Gore, as well as his admirer Parkinson.

They were discussing their classmate, Milison Burst.

Scott remembered her as a fierce, tall, and strong girl who looked somewhat like a she-devil.

What this girl looks like is not important; what is important is that her last name is Burst.

Yaxley, Burst, and Foley are three pure-blood families vying for the Traverse family inheritance.

After a summer vacation, the relationship between the three families is now extremely hostile.

The competition between them is becoming increasingly fierce, and with the silent instigation of certain underhanded individuals, this contest over the right of succession seems to be gradually turning into a war.

Especially Yaxley, who was no longer able to participate in the inheritance dispute, had already concluded that Burst and Foley had done those "shameless and vicious things".

Yaxley not only lost their chance to compete, but also a "promising young wizard," and now their goal has shifted to revenge against the two families.

Of course, Burst and Foley were also thoroughly enraged by Yaxley's mad dog-like behavior.

The conflict escalated further, with the three families recently beginning to ambush and attack each other's family members.

The man Malfoy and his companions referred to as Milison Burst's father was actually the head of the Burst family.

Even the head of the Burst family is lying in the hospital, his life hanging in the balance, which shows that things are gradually getting completely out of control.

These developments were beyond Scott's expectations; aside from initially guiding the start of the competition, Scott didn't do much in the process.

After all, he could only remotely control Rimbaud and the Crows from Spain via telephone for most of the summer vacation, and the things he could do were very limited.

But Scott had no doubt that the Ministry of Magic and other pure-blood families had fanned the flames and exaggerated the story.

Take, for example, the young Malfoy who is talking so eloquently over there now. His father, the elder Malfoy, was a cunning and treacherous fellow, and the Malfoy family has always been adept at taking advantage of troubled situations.

During this time, the crows lurking around the Ministry of Magic saw Malfoy frequently going in and out of Minister Fudge's office.

It's easy to imagine that the shrewd Malfoy must have played a significant role in this matter.

Of course, the Yaxley, Burst, and Foley families weren't that foolish.

Because Scott was unaware of the territories of the Burst and Foley families, he was unaware of their reactions.

But at least he knew about the Yaxley family's reaction.

Now, some within the Yaxley family suspect that the Ministry of Magic is secretly involved in this matter.

Especially old Yaxley, who almost gave Scott a killing curse; he's a shrewd old man.

But some things can't be stopped just because you realize something is wrong.

Having lost at least one outstanding son, the head of the Yaxley family wanted to take revenge on Burst and Foley.

In short, all three families should have noticed something amiss, but at the same time, they are all in a difficult position and unable to back down in time.

The situation is becoming increasingly unpredictable.

“My dad said that maybe the Ministry of Magic will take back Travers’s legacy,” Scott heard Malfoy say in a boastful tone. “After all, there’s no real Travers anymore.”

His two henchmen and admirers repeatedly affirmed his claims.

Parkinson also praised Malfoy's knowledge and foresight in an overly sweet voice.

Scott was getting a little tired of hearing it.

"Good morning!"

"Mr. Ravenclaw Prefect!"

Two overly lively and cheerful voices broke Scott's train of thought.

Fred and George started greeting each other loudly from the entrance of the auditorium.

They ran cheerfully into the Great Hall and, without any hesitation, sat on either side of Scott, picking up food from the Ravenclaw table and starting to eat.

"Dear Prefect."

"Why aren't you wearing your gleaming gold badge?"

Even while chewing, the two continued to tease Scott.

“Look who’s here!” Scott retorted. “Oh, it’s two very wealthy men. Good morning, Mr. Weasleys.”

Fred blinked, quickly understanding Scott's meaning. "You mean my dad won the lottery?"
