The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

He laughed as he said this.
“You’re right. Perhaps in the future we will need a lawyer who is a graduate of Cambridge Law School and is well-versed in Muggle law.”
“This all sounds amazing,” Scott said with amusement. “It seems that Lady Slytherin is a truly visionary and great wizard, working for all wizards in the wizarding world.”
William immediately said, "That's it! So why not join us, Scott!"
"I'm sorry, I don't really believe that claim."
Scott's words began to take a turn.
"After all, that lady sacrificed two wizards without hesitation right in front of me."
William said, "No..."
Scott interrupted him, "If you remember Professor Lockhart's tragic death, and as a reminder, his and Yaxley's bodies melted away like candles."
"them……"
William was about to say something when Scott interrupted him again.
“That woman was threatening me again today.” He quickened his pace. “If I can’t help her find Voldemort’s Horcrux, she will sacrifice more wizards’ lives.”
Scott chuckled again. "That woman doesn't care about the lives of other wizards; they're like livestock to her. She thinks she'd work for the future of wizards? Sorry, I find that laughable."
“Lady Slytherin wouldn’t do that!” William raised his voice.
He finished speaking quickly and loudly, only to find that Scott did not interrupt him this time.
Then his voice returned to normal, "She was just joking with you; she wouldn't sacrifice a wizard's life so casually."
“What about Lockhart and Yaxley?” Scott asked.
“The circumstances were special; if they hadn’t been sacrificed, Lady Slytherin wouldn’t have been able to walk away from Dumbledore,” William explained to Medea. “Besides, both Lockhart and Yaxley were criminals.”
Scott simply smiled at his statement.
He suddenly felt that this was very boring.
William continued, "Lockhart stole many wizards' legendary experiences using memory charms; that's how his best-selling books came about. He's just a fraud! And Yaxley wants to murder you!"
“William,” Scott said calmly, “if it were Medea herself, she wouldn’t make excuses for her actions like this.”
William was silent for a moment. "Well, it was my fault. I can't understand Lady Slytherin's ideas."
Scott felt a little disappointed; William was clearly a smart guy…
He couldn't understand why William would believe Medea's words so readily.
But William probably couldn't understand Scott's resistance either.
"Why are you resisting, Scott?" he asked, puzzled. "Even if you don't want to join us, it's still a good thing to help Lady Slytherin defeat Voldemort."
“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he emphasized.
"Hmm," Scott replied casually.
William didn't mean to hurt him; he just wanted to trick him.
William continued, "Voldemort represents the idea of 'pure-blood supremacy,' Scott. We are both from Muggle families, and you should understand that 'pure-blood supremacy' goes against our principles."
“Of course I understand,” Scott said.
"Then why did you refuse to help? Voldemort's disappearance is clearly a good thing for the entire wizarding world!" William said helplessly.
“You’re right,” Scott said, “but I can’t do it. I’ve said it before, I don’t have the ability to find Horcruxes.”
After saying that, he ended the call.
He was tired after probing William for so long and saying so much.
William wouldn't understand that while Voldemort's disappearance was indeed a good thing for him, Medea's complete resurrection was not.
If a good thing is accompanied by an even bigger bad thing, then it's better to maintain two things that are both good and bad.
Chapter 302 Shackles, Devil, Goodnight
"Do you really think Medea would harm other wizards as recklessly as she claims?"
Before leaving the Requirement Room, Scott asked his mentor a question.
“No.” Ravenclaw in the painting smiled. “That would make her a common enemy of the entire wizarding world.”
Scott nodded thoughtfully.
Indeed, William's words prove that Medea has begun to discuss ideals with her "Green Robe" organization.
Regardless of whether her seemingly wonderful ideals were true or false, there were probably quite a few wizards like William who were moved by her claims and joined her organization.
Like Katie Shafik, a Floo Networks Authority employee who once wrote to Scott, a half-blood wizard, who spoke of Medea with great reverence in her letter.
If these ideals, such as "for the future of wizards," have become the organization's code of conduct, then Medea, as its leader, must not be the first to abandon them.
Thinking about this, Scott murmured, "Medea used a set of beautiful ideals to win over some wizards, but at the same time she put herself in shackles."
In Scott's understanding, this is just like how celebrities in his previous life created personas. A good persona can certainly attract fans, but once the persona collapses, it will backfire.
And since she already has an "ideal"... it seems that Medea is ultimately not going down the terrorist path like Voldemort.
Although her actions of storming the Sir Merlin headquarters and Edinburgh Castle sound like outright terrorism, she could work to whitewash her image afterward.
Scott was certain that Medea's infiltration of the British Ministry of Magic was probably far more complex than simply being an employee of the Floo Networks Authority.
This woman has been leading the "Green Robes" to occupy Edinburgh Castle for almost a week, but the Ministry of Magic has yet to take any concrete action.
Even the Daily Prophet these past few days has only published some seemingly innocuous official rhetoric—
[No one died in this incident, including Muggles], [Researchers from the Department of Mysteries are working hard to study the magical defenses of Edinburgh Castle], [A team of elite Aurors is stationed in Edinburgh, always on high alert], and so on.
It remains to be seen how this incident will end.
At this point, Ravenclaw in the painting says, "Furthermore, Medea can only be truly and perfectly resurrected by sacrificing the complete soul of her bloodline descendant."
"Then why did she sacrifice those two male wizards before leaving Hogwarts?" Scott continued to inquire.
Ravenclaw explained, "I guess the situation was urgent, so Medea could only gain some life force in this way to transform her body."
Scott nodded. Indeed, Medea was facing Dumbledore back then.
In the painting, Ravenclaw continues, "That won't last long. If it doesn't get a continuous replenishment, her body will degenerate back into a doll-like state."
"In other words, if we can't get Voldemort's complete soul, Medea might really turn into a man-eating monster," Scott said in surprise.
He still thought Medea's earlier statement about sacrificing other wizards was just a scare tactic.
Ravenclaw said, "She wouldn't have gone this far unless absolutely necessary. I've said it before, it would have made her an enemy of the wizarding world. Besides, she now has the chance to obtain Voldemort's complete soul."
“But…” Scott naturally remembered, “the crown has already been purified by the real you.”
In the painting, Ravenclaw smiles and says, "In order not to ruin the crown's effectiveness, I have performed a gentle purification. This means that the fragments of soul within are merely expelled, not destroyed."
"Where did the fragments of the soul go?" Lascott asked curiously.
“Of course, it’s about following the connection between our souls and returning to Voldemort’s main soul,” Ravenclaw replied.
Scott left the Room of Requirement with a heavy heart.
Just after turning a few corners of the corridor, Rimbaud flew into the castle through an open window and gently landed on Scott's shoulder.
Scott reached out and stroked its feathers, then quickly left the eighth floor and finally turned into an empty classroom on the third floor.
After setting up the protective and soundproofing spells, Scott finally spoke to Rimbaud: "You went to the Three Broomsticks today? Nothing happened at William and Hagrid's meeting, did it?"
"No, everything is normal."
Rimbaud jumped off Scott's shoulder and flew to the old desk in front of him.
It looked up at Scott and said, "I came to tell you that crows flew back to Scotland from Northern Europe today. In short, the crows found the location of Durmstrang School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
“Oh… Durmstrang.”
Scott tapped his finger on the table, a smile spreading across his face.
“Did you find them?” he said softly. “So Elijah Caro and her cousin Caitlin Roll are really going to school there now?”
“It’s true. I specifically sent a few crows that had seen the cousins to Northern Europe. They remembered their faces,” Rimbaud said.
Scott laughed and said, "I really appreciate the crows' hard work. I didn't expect them to actually find Durmstrang. I have to thank them."
Rimbaud snorted, "I thought you knew they couldn't read or understand human speech!"
“Of course I know, my friend,” Scott said.
Rimbaud added, "Then you should know that the reason they can find any of those damned schools is because I taught them to tell the difference between a wizard and a magic school!"
"Of course, it's all thanks to you. You're the one I need to thank the most," Scott quickly praised it.
“That’s more like it,” Rimbaud said, becoming smug.
Scott continued with a few more exaggerated compliments, "Oh, my friend, I can't live without you. What would I do without your help?"
"Hey!" Rimbaud stared at him warily. "Are you suggesting I go to Northern Europe? I must say, that's a bit too far!"
“No.” Scott shook his head.
He really can't let Rimbaud stray too far from him right now.
Without Rimbaud leading the flock of crows and unable to communicate with them, many things would become inconvenient for him.
"So what are you going to do? If I remember correctly, Carlo once tried to kill you, and you want to take revenge on him," Rimbaud asked again.
“No rush.” Scott reached out and stroked Rimbaud’s feathers again, saying softly, “Now that we’ve found Durmstrang, there will always be an opportunity.”
There are priorities and urgency in everything.
For him, the most important thing right now is to deal with Medea's situation.
"By the way, the crows didn't notice anything unusual about the teaching assistant for the Magical Creatures class," Rimbaud said, mentioning the surveillance task Scott had given it a few days ago.
“Nothing unusual is happening,” Scott said. “Let the crows keep watching.”
“No problem, she lives in the Forbidden Forest anyway,” Rimbaud said casually.
"Then, you should go back to the forest first."
Scott stood up and opened the classroom window.
