The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

“Of course you could save Buckbeak,” Scott said in a low voice, “but that would be illegal.”
Harry and Ron's eyes lit up at the suggestion, but Hermione was the first to object, "No...we can't do that!"
She glared at Harry and Ron, "This could land you in jail!"
Ron retorted, unconvinced, "If Scott says so, there must be a way to avoid going to jail!"
"There's no way to do that!" Hermione glared at him. "Who knows if we'll get caught!"
"..."
Scott looked at the three of them with a hint of helplessness and gestured for them to be quiet.
“The only safe way is through Hermione.” He exchanged a meaningful glance with Hermione. “To be honest, I don’t recommend that you do that.”
"What's the solution?" Harry and Ron quickly looked at Hermione.
Hermione quickly said, "No, don't even think about it!"
She glared at Scott with a hostile expression. "You know, Professor McGonagall entrusted it to me out of trust, and I can't abuse its power!"
Scott smiled. "Of course, you'll have to weigh the pros and cons yourselves. Like I said, I don't recommend you do that."
Hermione was clearly angry. "You shouldn't have brought this up... I mean, it needs to be kept secret!"
"If you have a way to save that poor beast, why don't you use it?" Ron asked, puzzled.
“You know nothing!” Hermione glared at him fiercely again.
“Of course… if you don’t want to help Hagrid.” Ron’s expression also turned somewhat grim. “Of course we can’t force you.”
"I already told you, you know nothing!"
Hermione glared at Scott again, then turned and ran away angrily.
"Why is she so angry?" Ron asked Harry and Scott, looking bewildered.
Harry's expression was somewhat subtle. "You shouldn't have spoken to Hermione like that, Ron. We should talk to her properly."
"What are you going to discuss?" Ron scoffed. "Didn't you hear? She doesn't want to."
Harry turned to look at Scott, his eyes seeming to say, "See? This is all your fault."
Scott stepped forward and patted Harry on the shoulder. "Perhaps, it's the best option to let Hagrid be stronger."
After saying that, he walked past the two boys and left.
Harry asked if there was any way to save Buckbeak, and Scott gave him a solution. As for how they chose to do it, that was not his concern.
Anyway, he won't get involved in this.
When Scott returned to his dorm room, Eddie immediately approached him mysteriously.
“Scott, I specifically inquired about Carol and Roll, those cousins, from some Slytherins,” he said with a hint of pride.
Scott raised an eyebrow. "What information did you find out?"
“They did go to Durmstrang,” Eddie said. “Carlo and several Slytherins are still corresponding.”
“Anything else?” Scott asked.
Eddie put on a gossip-sharing expression, "Some people say that Carlo could have gone back to Hogwarts, but because his cousin didn't want to come back, he went to Durmstrang with her."
“How is that possible?” Roger, standing to the side, didn’t believe Eddie’s statement.
Milton said, "Carlo was expelled for attacking Scott, and he even spent some time in the Ministry of Magic's dungeons. He has no chance of returning to Hogwarts."
Scott also felt that this method was not very reliable.
Regardless, Dumbledore still had the final say in this school.
Facing his roommates' skeptical looks, Eddie shrugged. "That's just what some people in Slytherin say. They're the two who ambushed Scott with Carol on the stone bridge. They're Carol's henchmen."
"They're just bragging," Roger scoffed.
"Okay, but that's not the point."
Eddie gave Roger a disdainful look, seemingly heartbroken that Roger couldn't grasp the essence of the gossip.
Roger stared at him with an unfriendly expression.
Eddie chuckled, a smug look on his face. "What I'm trying to say is that although Carol and Roll were engaged when they were young, Carol only liked Roll one-sidedly. Roll wasn't very happy with his cousin Carol."
He emphasized, "Of course, this is real intelligence, and many people know it."
He seemed to have done a serious investigation and even found many examples from other people that could corroborate this.
For example, Raoul never had a good impression of Carlo since childhood. Even when he was forced to dance with Carlo at a banquet, Raoul would have an unwilling expression on his face.
Raoul even publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the engagement between the two.
But Carlo had always been very attentive and obedient to Roll since he was a child.
Eddie spoke of these gossips with great detail: "Roll's passive resistance to the engagement displeased the Carol family. They once considered finding Carol another fiancé, but Carol firmly rejected the proposal, even going so far as to defy his father for it."
Scott nodded.
If this isn't being a simp, then what is?
If all of this is true, then the show he planned will probably be even more spectacular than imagined.
He's already starting to look forward to it.
Roger and Milton were unaware of Scott's plans and were not particularly interested in the information Eddie had gathered.
"I don't know if these rumors are true or false. Even if they are true, Carlo will only be a little embarrassed," Roger said with some disappointment.
Milton also said, "Such news does not bring them any real punishment."
"This is top-secret information that I went to great lengths to obtain. Those two families are very careful to keep this kind of thing a secret!" Eddie said indignantly. "If this gets out, the Carol and Roll families will both lose face!"
"But it's just embarrassing," Roger said dismissively. "Besides, Carlo is probably used to it by now!"
"I knew this would happen," Eddie said, sounding dejected.
Scott quickly thanked Eddie.
He knew that Eddie had deliberately dug up gossip about Carol and Roll in order to help him vent his anger.
He couldn't help but admire Eddie.
He said to Eddie, “You’re a Ravenclaw, and a Muggle, yet you can dig up secrets from those Slytherins. That’s something only you can do. I must say, that’s quite a skill.”
Roger and Milton also strongly agreed with this.
This made Eddie extremely proud.
Chapter 322 Helena's Help
A week before the Christmas holidays, Rimbaud told Scott that he and the flock of crows had located the Carlow and Roll families.
“It wasn’t just Carlo and Roll; the Foley family hosted a banquet, and we followed the carriages and found the locations of many other families,” Rimbaud said. “Of course, that wasn’t the most interesting thing.”
“The Foley family?” Scott asked. “One of the three families vying for the Travers inheritance. Has something changed?”
Rimbaud got to the point: "Yes, the Yaxley family attended the banquet hosted by the Foley family, and I saw the head of the Yaxley family and the head of the Foley family chatting happily."
Scott was somewhat surprised to hear this.
Is this the result of the three families calming down during this period? Foley and Yaxley have joined forces?
It's not impossible.
After Jacques Yaxley's death, the Yaxley family could no longer find a suitable successor to Trevors, so their participation in the struggle was of little significance other than a matter of pride.
In this situation, the real benefit would be if they could receive compensation afterward for helping the Foley family.
With these two families joining forces, the Burst family's chances of winning are slim.
"Tsk."
Regarding the current development of the incident, Scott could only express his dissatisfaction in a small way.
He secretly orchestrated the battle for Travers's inheritance in order to take revenge on the Yaxley family, but unexpectedly, they are now showing signs of extricating themselves.
"However, this doesn't prove anything. It's still unknown who will inherit the Travers family's legacy, since other families are behind the scenes pushing the Ministry of Magic to covet it."
That's what they say, but Scott knows that, at this point, the Foley family's chosen successor is still the most likely to succeed in inheriting the Travers family.
After all, only the Foley, Bosde, and Yaxley families were related to Travers by marriage, and only their chosen heirs possessed some of Travers' blood.
Although the Ministry of Magic also got involved, it was not a legitimate or proper affair.
Moreover, the so-called Ministry of Magic is not a unified entity; its interests are complex and intertwined, and the interests of the pure-blood families hidden behind it are not aligned.
“Keep an eye on them,” Scott said to Rimbaud. “Besides the missions related to Carlo, I also want to know what made Yaxley decide to side with Foley and stop caring about Jacques Yaxley’s death.”
Rimbaud understood Scott's meaning and nodded in agreement to the request.
It made a joke, "Perhaps the Travers family discovered that Jacques Yaxley was assassinated by the Burst family."
Scott laughed when he heard this.
Others may not know how Jacques Yaxley died, but he, as the one who carried out the act, knew it all too well.
Although the process of retaliating against Yaxley seemed to have taken an unexpected turn, Scott remained calm.
The Yaxley family has probably forgotten about him, this once again insignificant little wizard, and he has plenty of time to make new plans.
After saying goodbye to Rimbaud, Scott encountered Grapland again as he left the Forbidden Forest.
However, this teaching assistant did not come out of the Forbidden Forest this time; she had just left Hagrid's cabin.
Scott greeted her first.
Grapland seemed used to Scott's habit of venturing into the Forbidden Forest, and let it go after making a couple of jokes.
On the way back to the castle, Scott remembered that he had originally wanted to ask Dumbledore about the identity of the teaching assistant.
However, meeting Dumbledore at Hogwarts is not an easy thing, after all, the old headmaster is a very busy man who only appears in front of the students occasionally.
So Scott changed his mind.
Of course, he wasn't going to the principal's office on his own initiative.
After their last conversation, Scott was actually not keen on meeting the old principal now.
