In the luxurious lounge, Scott sat alone on a large sofa, pulling out a small fireplace from his shapeshifting lizard skin bag that allowed him to contact Medea.

Pour in the Floo Powder, and watching the green flames ignite, Scott whispered, "Number 001."

The flames leaped violently, sending out a few sparks.

"Good evening, Scott," Medea's cheerful voice came from the firelight. "I didn't expect you to contact me first."

“I understand,” Scott said.

"Oh?" Medea chuckled softly. "You, a boy." She knew something.

Scott, however, changed the subject, "You've already gained most of the power in the Ministry of Magic. Now, are you going to become the new Minister of Magic, wielding the most power in the English wizarding world?"

“It’s not as simple as you think,” Medea said bluntly. “I had to overcome many forces to reach that level.”

"It's mainly Dumbledore and Voldemort, isn't it?" Scott bluntly stated.

“Voldemort is out of the question, but Dumbledore and I could potentially cooperate.” Medea chuckled again, “because our goals overlap to give wizards a better future.”

“I’m afraid Professor Dumbledore wouldn’t think that way,” Scott said.

"Tell me, boy, you didn't contact me for these reasons, did you?" Medea changed the subject.

Scott frowned.

"A thousand-mile eye," he uttered the phrase.

He wouldn't reveal the contents of the prophecy to Medea, but he could reveal new discoveries at Hogwarts.

"Oh……"

Medea was as surprised as Scott had expected.

“How do you know this?” she asked.

Scott said, "I found a strange box at Hogwarts and then opened it with the help of the professors."

“It’s a goblin’s chest,” Medea said. “So Henry hid it inside Hogwarts.”

Scott asked, "Can Merlin really see the future? Can he see the present from the distant past? Can he see our conversation right now?"

"Who knows?" Medea did not answer directly. "Perhaps the history of the magical world is in his hands. He stands in the distant past, holding all the threads of history in his hands."

“And you?” Scott asked. “What exactly are you planning to do, having gone to such lengths to leap from the upstream of history?”

“Perhaps I’m just afraid of death,” Medea said with a smile. “All my scheming is for the sake of living again.”

Chapter 367 Medea's True Purpose

Scott did not believe Medea's claim that she did it "to live."

If it was just "to survive," why did this ancestor go through so much trouble?

“You’re joking,” he said to the small fireplace in his hand. “Didn’t you say that you’re fighting for a better future for wizards? Such a grand dream has nothing to do with simply living.”

The green flames in the small fireplace danced and leaped, and a series of laughs echoed from within them.

Medea seemed to be in a very good mood, and she laughed for a while before stopping.

She asked in a mocking voice, "You don't believe I have such a dream, do you, boy?"

Scott did not answer.

Of course, remaining silent is tantamount to acquiescence.

Medea's voice turned serious, "But I want to say that I am serious, seriously wanting to change the magical world, seriously wanting wizards to have a better future."

“That’s a good thing,” Scott said dryly.

“It seems that such an explanation will not convince you.” Medea laughed again. “You must be doubting me, doubting my true purpose, and doubting that I am hiding a huge conspiracy.”

Scott said softly, "While the dream you speak of is good, the way you do it is rather unusual."

This is undoubtedly a euphemism.

What he really wanted to say was that although Medea had a grander vision, her specific style of doing things was not much different from Voldemort's, who practiced terrorism.

"Is this what you wanted to say?" Medea seemed somewhat disappointed. "If I'm not mistaken, Scott, you and I are the same kind of people, people who will stop at nothing to achieve our goals."

“Maybe,” Scott said, not denying it.

Medea asked him, "Then what can you accuse me of?"

Scott frowned. "But I won't say those nice things like 'for a better future for wizards,' much less use such slogans to deceive and win over others."

“Yes, you won’t, because you lack the desire to do great things; you can only see yourself,” Medea said.

Scott said, "I don't see anything wrong with it."

“You can certainly say that now with a clear conscience, child,” Medea said dismissively. “But what if one day you also need many helpers to achieve your goals? What will you do then?”

Scott said calmly, "I don't think I have such big goals to achieve. I don't want to be a savior to save the world, nor do I want to be a great demon to rule the world. I just want to take care of myself."

After he finished speaking, Medea burst into laughter.

"You're too naive, Scott. Many things won't happen just because you don't want them to!"

“Maybe so, you’re right,” Scott said.

For example, prophecy.

The prophecy was a sudden event, and Scott is not someone he can handle alone at this stage.

But Scott was not alone.

“I have teachers and mentors. The professors at Hogwarts are all very kind to me, and they are happy to help me if I need anything. I have friends, though not many, but each one is reliable enough, and they will not refuse my request for help if I need anything.”

Scott said with a smile.

“I don’t need to use lies to gain help from others like you do, Medea.”

"Oh!"

The green flame in the small fireplace in Scott's hand suddenly expanded rapidly.

The flames in the fireplace wouldn't cause him any real harm, but they were still quite hot.

In a moment of desperation, Scott threw away the fireplace.

The toy-like fireplace didn't fall to the ground; instead, it floated in mid-air.

Green flames rose up and slowly transformed into a human shape.

The humanoid figure formed from flames was somewhat illusory and blurry; Scott could only barely make out that it was the image of Medea.

This Medea, formed of flames, only has an upper body; "she" floats in the air, looking down at Scott.

"Then you should pray to Merlin, Scott."

She opened her mouth and spoke.

"I pray that I will never break my promise."

“I don’t think so,” Scott said. “Building a faction like you? Just thinking about it is exhausting. I’m not going to waste my energy on that.”

Medea glanced at Scott.

Perhaps knowing she couldn't convince him on this issue, she didn't pursue the topic any further.

She then changed the subject.

“You are a special child, Scott.”

Her long hair, made of flames, flowed freely.

“I have tried to win your favor many times, even giving you precious gifts and tempting you with the knowledge contained in that secret room, but I never expected that you would never let your guard down.”

Scott stood up and looked up at "her," his expression showing no fear.

"Who told you to be so unfriendly from the start?"

He said calmly.

"You traded your students' talents for a pledge of allegiance, tried to get Yaxley and Carlo to kill me during the trial to break the pledge, and finally turned two warlocks into your drink right in front of me."

Medea slowly approached Scott, staring at him with her burning eyes.

Scott felt the warmth so close to his face, but he didn't back down.

Medea asked, "Do you care? Do you care about the other students' talents in trading? Do you care about the lives of those two wizards?"

Before Scott could answer, she said with certainty, "No, you don't care. All you care about is that your life is threatened."

Scott looked at him in silence.

He didn't need to refute such words, because he truly didn't care.

Even if Milton traded his musical talent, it was Milton's own choice at the time.

Although Milton later regretted it, Scott was only trying to help him get it back.

After the retrieval operation failed and Milton accepted the situation and adapted well, Scott stopped dwelling on it.

“But you’re mistaken, boy,” the flame Medea said with a laugh. “I don’t want your life; on the contrary, I need you to live.”

Scott looked at "her" with some surprise.

"Although your cooperation with me would allow me to achieve my goal faster, it's alright."

Medea extends a hand made of flames, seemingly stroking Scott's face from afar.

“I just said you’re a special kid, Scott.”

"As long as you live and survive, it's a good thing for me."

"I'm giving you a precious gift, especially the special key you have, to ensure you can survive."

As Scott listened to her words, numerous thoughts flashed through his mind. He seemed to understand something, but he couldn't quite grasp it. He still couldn't seize the important inspiration.

"How are you feeling? Confused, clever boy?" The fiery "Medea" laughed gleefully again.

Scott ignored her bursts of laughter.

His eyes were lowered, his mind constantly thinking and reviewing all the known clues and Medea's words.

A visionary with eyes that can see a thousand miles... a great man... the scroll of history... a man who no longer exists... to live is a good thing...
