The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

“Because Caitlin wants you dead,” Caro replied, looking dazed.
"Why?" Professor Flitwick asked incredulously.
"Caitlyn wants revenge for the death of Jasmine Travers," Caro said.
“What kind of revenge is this!” Professor Flitwick said angrily. “This is completely implicating the innocent! Miss Travers’ death had nothing to do with Scott!”
Carol said, "Who knows? I don't care. I don't care what reason Caitlin has to take revenge on Trollope. All I know is that she wants Trollope dead. I'm going to do what she wants; it's proof that I love her."
“Absurd! This is utterly absurd!” Professor Flitwick exclaimed.
Scott then asked, "How did you sneak into Hogwarts? And who told you I wouldn't be in good form tonight because of dueling practice?"
Carlo answered his question honestly.
“I came in through a secret passage. My family has been studying at Hogwarts for generations, so of course we would know about a secret passage.”
"Although the exit of that secret passage was blocked, I managed to break the stone blocking the exit with Tata's help."
"Strilner told me about your situation."
“Strilner?” Scott said in surprise. “I didn’t expect that he would still be thinking about Hogwarts after he graduated.”
“He has connections with many Slytherin students, and he says he has access to information he wants to know within the school,” Caro said. “I don’t know exactly what those accesses are.”
Scott was not satisfied with this answer.
But he was dissatisfied but there was nothing he could do; Carlo clearly didn't know about Strilna either.
After thinking for a moment, he asked Carol again, "You said you attacked me because of Caitlin Roll? So, she also knew about your actions today? Where is she?"
“Caitlyn doesn’t know,” Caro replied. “Caitlyn is dead.”
"Dead? I remember she was a little girl!" Professor Flitwick was clearly extremely surprised. "How did she die?"
“It was me, I killed her,” Carlo said.
Due to the effects of the drug, he spoke terrifying words in a calm voice.
"What?" Professor Flitwick's voice became shrill.
"How is this going?"
Scott did not feign surprise, but calmly asked the question.
"Because she doesn't love me."
Carlo spoke slowly.
"Even though I attacked Troop for her, was expelled from Hogwarts, and was imprisoned by the Ministry of Magic for several months, even though I went to study at Durmstrang with her."
Chapter 382 Scott's Enemies
"I love her so much, why doesn't she love me!"
Even though he was in a dazed state under the influence of the truth serum, Carlo still spoke with a ferocious expression and full of resentment.
“We’ve been engaged since we were little. I’m her fiancé and also her cousin! I’ve been so good to her!”
He seemed to want to take this opportunity to vent all the emotions that had been building up inside him.
"I can forgive her for not loving me; no matter what, she will always be my wife! But she shouldn't have fallen in love with someone else! Especially with another girl!"
As he spoke, his voice grew increasingly hysterical.
"Why! Travers is already dead! She still can't forget her!"
"Travers is a demon! She bewitched Caitlyn with magic! She's just using her! But why won't Caitlyn wake up to reality, and even want to avenge her!"
“I received a pendant from her that Travers had a portrait of her inside!”
“I didn’t blame her at the time, I just hid the pendant. Later, when she found the pendant, she denied that it was a gift from her to Travers, and even destroyed it!”
Hearing this, Scott breathed a slight sigh of relief.
No wonder he couldn't find the pendant necklace that Carlo had made on him.
"Great," he thought, "I don't even need to destroy the evidence anymore."
"She doesn't love me, doesn't want to marry me, and has even started to hate me!"
Carlo continued to reveal more about himself.
"I can only kill her! Only kill her! Hehe, it's better if Caitlin is dead, she's become much more obedient, she'll belong to me completely!"
"I've escaped Durmstrang! I plan to join her after I kill Trollope!"
"Caitlyn has always wanted to see Trollope die. Once Trollope is dead, she will forgive me!"
"Unfortunately, I still failed."
"And Travers, that damned demon! She seduced Catelyn! If she hadn't been killed by those stupid house-elves, I would have killed her too!"
Carlo roared for a while before calming down, and then he seemed to fall into a complete coma again.
A hush fell over the headmaster's office. Even Dumbledore's face showed a rare expression of shock, not to mention Professor Flitwick.
Professor Flitwick, who was always very emotional, visibly gasped.
That's not all.
Carlo's words were like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, making the entire principal's office "lively".
On one side of the office wall, the portraits of the former principals all opened their eyes, scrutinizing Carlo and even beginning to whisper among themselves.
On the bar stool next to the desk, the Sorting Hat, which had been motionless like a hat, suddenly came to life. It opened its "eyes" and its "mouth".
On the stand placed in front of the window, Dumbledore's phoenix, which had been preening its beautiful feathers, now stretched its neck and stared at Carlo.
Scott silently activated his brain-blocking technique, staring blankly at Carlo, suppressing the surging thoughts in his mind deep within.
He didn't ask Carlo any more questions, as if he was too shocked by his words to speak for a moment.
Of the two truly shocked individuals, Dumbledore was the first to regain his senses.
"I have to say, I haven't been this surprised in a long time."
As he spoke, he reached out and took off his half-moon shaped glasses, took out a handkerchief to wipe the lenses, and then put them back on.
Professor Flitwick chimed in, "Oh Albus, isn't he a little off? I think he's gone mad!"
“I find it hard to refute you, Felius,” Dumbledore said. “Mr. Carroll certainly doesn’t seem like a normal person right now.”
Scott blinked his dry eyes as if he had just come to his senses.
“I have one last question,” he said. “Carlo, since you ran away from Durmstrang, how did you run into Stryner and get information about me from him?”
“I met him at the Pighead Bar,” Carlo said. “A few days ago, I was disguised and hiding there when I ran into him. I was the one who approached him to ask him for information.”
Scott nodded. "I see. I've finished asking my questions."
He turned to look at the two professors.
Professor Flitwick gave him a reassuring look and said to Dumbledore, “Mr. Carroll is a murderer. He should be sent to Azkaban! He should have been there long ago.”
“You’re right.” Dumbledore nodded. “I will contact Mr. Scrimgeour, Head of the Auror Office at the Ministry of Magic, as soon as possible.”
"The current Ministry of Magic..." Professor Flitwick hesitated, then stopped himself.
Clearly, he was somewhat worried about whether the Ministry of Magic, now in disarray due to factional infighting, could effectively fulfill its duties.
“Don’t worry, there won’t be much resistance to this,” Dumbledore said, not mincing words with Scott. “If the Rolle family wants to protect him, they will be left all alone in this matter.”
"That's good." Professor Flitwick jumped off his chair.
His expression was rather unpleasant.
“I must say, something about our conversation sounds off, which is quite sad,” he muttered. “Albus, we all know the Ministry of Magic can’t go on like this!”
Dumbledore also stood up. "I know, Felix, I'm trying to change the situation, but it will undoubtedly take some time."
“Of course I believe you, because you are Dumbledore,” Professor Flitwick said.
"Thank you." Dumbledore smiled.
“It’s late, Scott,” Professor Flitwick greeted Scott. “Oh, thank goodness it’s the weekend tomorrow, but you should still go back to your dorm and get some sleep.”
Scott readily agreed.
He then left the principal's office with Professor Flitwick and returned to the top floor of the Ravenclaw Tower through a secret passage in Professor Flitwick's office.
On the way back, Professor Flitwick told him, "I will keep an eye on this matter and make sure Mr. Caro receives the punishment he deserves."
Scott walked into the common room and, seeing that it was empty, completely relaxed.
Instead of rushing back to his dormitory, he walked to a window.
He looked at his somewhat blurry reflection in the slightly reflective glass window, silently taking stock of all the people he had considered his enemies until now.
He had only one criterion for identifying enemies—anyone who directly tried to kill him or threatened his and his family's safety was his enemy.
In chronological order, the first one is Jasmine Travers.
Although the other party was just a little girl, she once tried to take Scott's life directly, so Scott created the split accident and took her life.
Then there were Jasmine Travers's companions, Caitlin Roll and Morgan Avery.
Since Jasmine Travers' death, Morgan Avery has completely disappeared from the public eye, and Scott has stopped paying attention to her.
But Caitlin Raoul was different; she wanted revenge for Travers and even sent Scott a letter containing poison.
Because of her, Scott gained another enemy: Elijah Caro.
Both cousins wanted Scott dead, so Scott used a pendant necklace to amplify the darkness in Carol's heart caused by unrequited love, successfully orchestrating a "simp turning evil" drama.
The play was performed as scheduled, and Scott was fairly satisfied with the result.
Although Carlo's unexpected attack put Scott in some danger, Scott believed that this time Carlo would not be able to escape the journey to Azkaban.
Once Carlos enters Azkaban, he will have a way to kill him quietly, just as he killed Jasmine Travers' father.
In addition, there is Boking Burke, who hires people to cause trouble for the Scott family because he covets the Reiss Map, and Mundungus Fletcher, a thief hired by Mr. Burke to go to Spain.
To keep the secret of the Reiss Map and for the safety of his family, Scott decisively killed Fletcher and Burke, silencing them forever.
Besides these individuals, Scott's enemies also include the Yaxley family, who targeted him because they coveted the Travers family's wealth.
