The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

A few days later, Scott was still enjoying himself, but Emilia couldn't take it anymore.
“Honey, you should go out and play more instead of staying cooped up at home all the time,” she said to Scott. “Your Aunt Flora complains that Ramiro never comes home for summer vacation, but you never go out. I’d rather you were like Ramiro and enjoyed traveling around.”
Scott put down the game controller and turned to look at Emilia standing in the doorway.
“Where should I go for fun, dear mother?” He shrugged. “I have no friends in Madrid.”
Emilia said, "Why don't you go out with your cousin Ramiro? As far as I know, you've turned down his invitations several times."
“Alcohol, parties, girls,” Scott said helplessly. “You know, I’m not interested in any of that.”
Emilia's eyes widened. "You're only 16, my darling! You should be interested in those girls!"
Scott was speechless.
"I am indeed interested in pretty girls, but I can't connect with them."
If he wanted to find a girlfriend, he would prefer a little witch to an ordinary girl with whom he had nothing in common.
Emilia gave him a disdainful look. "You said it yourself, it's a party with alcohol. In a place like that, who's going to have a genuine conversation with you?"
Scott laughed and lay on the floor. "Oh, are you teaching me how to be a bad boy, Mom?"
Emilia entered the room and sat down cross-legged next to him.
“I just wanted to make you relax a bit.” She touched Scott’s face. “I’ve always thought you were having a tough time at Hogwarts.”
"Why do you say that?" Scott asked curiously.
Emilia tapped his forehead with her fingers. "You've matured too fast. It's as if you skipped adolescence and went straight into adulthood."
“Maybe this is magic,” Scott continued with a grin.
"Anyway, it's summer vacation now, so you should relax as much as you want." Emilia tugged at Scott's cheek again. "I've already called Ramiro, he'll pick you up after dinner."
"Oh...please let me go." Scott raised his hand to cover his eyes.
"It's settled then."
Emilia, brooking no argument, stood up abruptly.
"I'll go pick out an outfit for you to wear tonight."
She seemed rather impatient.
Scott sighed.
He only found out a couple of days ago that Emilia had bought him a lot of new clothes while he was away from home.
There are all sorts of them, some are fancy and some are not.
Although some of the clothes were too small for him to wear before he grew taller, Emilia still enjoyed them immensely.
Just yesterday, she went shopping with her Aunt Flora again and bought Scott a bunch of new clothes.
Scott slowly stood up and went to the dressing room.
This sizable walk-in closet is divided into three areas, with Emilia's clothes, shoes, and hats taking up most of the space.
In the remaining space, although Scott did not live here permanently, he clearly had more clothes than Michael.
"Come on, try this one on, or this one?"
Emilia, carrying two shirts of different colors, greeted Scott warmly, her attitude as professional as that of a clothing store sales assistant.
Scott glanced at his own clothes rack.
“Since I’m going out with Ramiro, I don’t need to wear a shirt,” he said. “I think I should dress more casually, maybe a T-shirt would be better.”
"T-SHIRT?"
Although Emilia disagreed somewhat, she still agreed with Scott's own opinion.
So she brought out several different colored T-shirts and polo shirts for Scott to choose from.
Scott casually pointed to a white T-shirt with a blue print.
"Isn't this too plain?" Emilia hesitated.
“It’s summer, Mom,” Scott reminded him. “There aren’t that many clothes to match.”
“Okay.” Emilia nodded.
But she quickly cheered up again, saying, "It's okay, I'll find some nice pants and shoes for you, and of course, jewelry is a must!"
Seeing her so enthusiastic, Scott let her do as she pleased and offered no further opinions.
But Amelia seemed to treat her son like a doll, choosing several different outfits to match the white T-shirt Scott randomly picked, and making him try it on repeatedly.
Scott could only let himself be manipulated, hoping to please his parents.
After changing several outfits, he heard Emilia excitedly say, "What can I do? Every single one of them looks so good. They are indeed clothes that I picked out, and they are indeed clothes that I gave birth to."
She clapped her hands. "But I still think the first outfit is the best."
"..."
By this time, Scott had completely resigned himself to his fate.
He silently changed into the first outfit, and then silently sat in front of the mirror while Emilia, who was still not satisfied, styled his hair.
Chapter 409 Students from Beauxbatons
After dinner, Ramiro arrived in his car.
He walked into the house with a nonchalant air, greeted Amelia and Michael, and couldn't help but laugh when he saw Scott.
"Not bad, it's rare to see you dressed like this." He patted Scott on the shoulder and fiddled with the silver necklace around his neck. "Looks like you're looking forward to tonight's event too."
He blinked. "Trust me, I won't let you down."
Scott glanced at Emilia, who was smiling with great satisfaction; he no longer wanted to explain anything.
"This time I'm taking you to a bar."
"After getting in the car," Ramiro said.
"You should thank me properly, my little cousin. I'm usually the one driving the girls around at times like this."
"Looks like last summer's events didn't teach you any lessons," Scott quipped. "And don't forget, I'm still a minor."
Ramiro seemed to recall his experience last summer, and his expression changed.
“Girls are all beautiful.” He shrugged.
“And one more thing,” he glanced at Scott, “remember, no matter what anyone asks you, you must say you are 18 years old.”
"Got it," Scott replied.
He still wasn't interested in going to bars.
Although Ramiro kept promising to take good care of him, once they arrived at their destination, his cousin led Scott to the bar, ordered two drinks, and then quickly disappeared with his glasses.
Fortunately, Scott didn't need him to play with him.
He was intently savoring his first shot of strong liquor in his life.
Although the bar was bustling, Scott sat alone in the corner of the bar, finding a sense of peace in his own little corner.
But not long after, he sensed magic in the bar, which was full of Muggles.
Scott turned his head and met a pair of brown eyes.
It was a boy who looked about the same age as him.
After their eyes met, the other person smiled at him, and Scott nodded back before looking away.
But the other person seemed to have noticed something as well, and walked straight over to Scott and sat down next to him.
“Hello,” the boy greeted Scott. “I’m Lucio, a seventh-year student at Beauxbatons School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
“Hello,” Scott said. “Scott, sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
"Oh, Hogwarts!"
Lucio's eyes lit up, seemingly very curious about Hogwarts.
Are you British?
Scott nodded.
The two started chatting about their respective schools, as Scott was also quite curious about Beauxbatons.
"...Of course, we have alchemy courses, which are a specialty of Beauxbatons. After all, Beauxbatons is a magic school founded with the support of the famous alchemist Nicolas Flamel..."
Lucio may not be as talkative as Eddie, but he's just as talkative.
Scott simply guided the conversation, and then he launched into a long, detailed explanation.
"Hogwarts is always very mysterious. Oh, of course, your headmaster Dumbledore is very famous, isn't he? Does he teach you classes? What is the most famous course at Hogwarts?"
“No, Professor Dumbledore won’t be teaching us,” Scott replied.
As for the most famous course...
Scott really wanted to answer Defense Against the Dark Arts.
At Hogwarts, this course, due to Voldemort's curse and the fact that the professor changes every year, has become far more legendary than any other course.
But it seems a bit embarrassing to talk about it with people from other schools.
“We don’t have that special feature in our most famous courses,” Scott could only answer. “Of course, every course is taught very well.”
Upon hearing this, Lucio looked disappointed, then carefully apologized, "I'm sorry, after all, Dumbledore is so famous, I thought Hogwarts would have some special, enviable courses."
His words made Scott feel subtly uncomfortable.
"Hogwarts is a comprehensive magic school where young wizards of different talents can receive the best instruction."
"Hahaha……"
Lucio suddenly burst into loud laughter.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to belittle Hogwarts."
He waved his hands repeatedly and laughed for a while before stopping.
