The three of them turned through several corridors and arrived at the place where Mrs. Lorris had been petrified.

The two lines of text on the wall were still glowing, reflected in a large puddle of water on the ground.

"Watch out, there's a big puddle of water on the ground."

Scott reminded the two people behind him.

But no sooner had he finished speaking than Fred slipped and fell into the water.

Fortunately, George caught him in time.

“You’re so sleepy you’re practically drowsy, Fred!” George said with a hint of schadenfreude.

"Damn it! Filch might really be crazy; he didn't even clean up this puddle." Fred was now completely sober and complained unhappily.

Scott held up the sensational headline and gestured against the wall, trying to find a suitable spot.

After finding a good spot, he asked the other two, "Which of you can help me hold this thing down?"

"I'll do it!"

Fred stepped forward and pressed his hand against the words formed by twisted wire.

Scott took two steps back, looked around, raised his wand, and swiftly cast a Permanent Adhesion Charm.

Fred released his grip, and the three of them took another look at the line of text that conveyed such rich meaning, and couldn't help but laugh.

“No matter who the ‘successor’ is, I’m sure that guy will be furious when he sees it!” Fred exclaimed.

George said definitively, "I think he'll destroy this thing no matter what!"

“Hopefully so,” Scott said with a smile. “We can’t be too optimistic. If the other side is too patient, this probing plan will have to fail.”

George patted him on the shoulder. “You’re too modest, Scott. I know those guys well, those wizards who claim to be pure-blooded. They value bloodlines more than anything else.”

Scott nodded, then chuckled and said, "The Weasleys are probably the pure-blood family that least likes to call themselves pure-bloods?"

George said, "Pure-blood family? That's just what those people think. You know, the book 'Pure-Blood Register' was written by the Nott family, and we've never acknowledged it. We might even have Muggle blood in our family."

Fred immediately chimed in, “Yes, we don’t care about that, and my dad really likes some Muggle stuff.”

“That’s why they call Weasley a ‘pure-blood traitor’,” Scott joked, walking off to the other side. “Next up is installing the ‘surveillance devices’.”

George and Fred followed behind him, saying with pride, "You know, we like the title 'pure-blood traitor'."

Scott said in a casual tone, "I heard your father and old Malfoy got into a fight at Flourish and Blotts over this?"

“Oh yes! It’s a pity they were kicked by Hegel. My dad was about to punch old Malfoy’s arrogant face!” Fred said, still a little excited.

George added, "But their fight wasn't just about 'pure-blood traitors'! My dad and old Malfoy have always disliked each other."

Fred added, "You haven't met old Malfoy; he's even more..."

He thought for a moment, but couldn't seem to come up with a suitable adjective, so he could only say, "You know, the Malfoys are all like that; they're used to looking down on people with their big nostrils."

Scott nodded. “I can tell how well-mannered they are from Draco Malfoy.”

He brought this up in the hope that if things went smoothly, the twins would quickly figure out where the diary came from.

He was now standing in front of a window at the end of the corridor.

He gently pushed open the windowsill, peeked out, and then turned to George and Fred, saying, "Right here. If we hide outside the window, Filch shouldn't find us and eliminate us."

"Here?" George leaned out of the window as well. "Won't the people on the ground below see us?"

Scott said, "I'll hide them well."

George then asked, "How are you going to install it? You know, there's not much room to stand after you climb out the window!"

"Use a rope."

Scott pulled out a roll of rope and handed one end to George. "You guys help me tie this end to the lamp stand."

Then he estimated the length of the rope and tied it around himself.

After he finished tying the rope, George and Fred, having also tied theirs, gave it a good tug and said to him, "All done!"

Scott smiled, took out his wand, cast an illusion spell on himself and the rope, and slowly climbed out of the window.

George and Fred huddled by the window, peering out, though they could no longer see Scott anywhere.

They whispered a reminder.

"be careful!"

"If you accidentally fall in, I hope you'll remember to cast a levitation spell on yourself!"

"Don't worry."

Scott braced himself on the lintel of the window below, using the rope tied to his body for support.

He took out the periscope he had made from the shapeshifting lizard skin bag, carefully compared its position with the outer wall, and then used a permanent sticking charm to stick it to the outer wall.

He then attached a small wooden frame to one end of the periscope and placed the camera on it.

He shifted his feet to the side again, managing to get a better look behind the camera lens.

"good."

Fortunately, the magic lights in the corridor usually don't go out, and the footage he needed was right near the light fixture. Although it was still quite dark, the resulting photos should still be barely legible.

Next, it's hidden.

He took out another piece of wood, stuck it to the wall, and then cast a transformation spell on the wood.

The wood instantly transformed into vines, which then sprouted green leaves that enveloped the periscope and camera.

"Oh, well done."

George and Fred watched as the vines stretched out onto the windowsill.

"This is the last one."

Scott then took out a large box of film and two small wooden puppets and placed them on the wooden stand where the camera was located.

"That completes the task."

He moved slowly, then climbed back through the window.

After he untied the ropes, George and Fred were still peering out the window, craning their necks to look at the two little wooden puppets.

"What's that? A puppet that takes pictures?"

"They don't seem to be moving?"

Scott untied the rope from the lamp stand and explained, “They’re like the pieces in Wizarding Chess; they can do simple things on command, but I’m going to wait until tomorrow morning when the news gets out before I secretly activate them.”

"cool!"

George and Fred said in unison.

Scott packed up the rope and said to them, "Everything is ready, we can go back now. As for the rest, we'll see if anyone tries to destroy our 'message'."

Chapter 058 Returning Home for a Night Talk, Watching from the Morning

Scott carefully opened the dormitory door, only to unexpectedly hear his roommates talking.

So he stopped tiptoeing and went inside normally.

Scott, you're back!

In the darkness, Eddie's voice carried a strange excitement.

Good evening, you guys are still up?

Scott closed the door and went to his bedside.

He placed his gloves on the table, then took off his cloak and hung it on the coat rack.

"What did you go to do, Scott?" Milton asked with some concern.

Roger added, "Eddie is deliberately acting like he knows everything, but he's also deliberately keeping quiet."

"As for me, you'll find out first thing tomorrow morning."

Scott quickly changed into his pajamas and climbed into bed.

"Tell me about this. Is there something I don't know about? Why are you discussing this until now?"

“Oh! By the way!” Roger said excitedly, “You certainly don’t know, but a strange incident happened at the classical music club.”

Scott asked in surprise, "Classical music club? Milton?"

Roger added, "No, not just Milton, I was there when it happened!"

"You?" Scott was even more surprised.

He always believed that Roger and the Classical Music Club should be two parallel lines that never intersect.

Fortunately, Eddie immediately provided him with information: "Roger's new girlfriend, Caccini Strozzi, is also a member of the classical music club. Today... oh, I mean yesterday, after the dinner party, he accompanied Miss Strozzi there."

“Okay.” Scott understood.

He then asked, "So what exactly happened at the classical music club?"

“Organ music,” Milton said in a dreamlike tone. “We heard organ music coming from somewhere.”

"So?" Scott was a little confused.

Milton explained, “You should know, Scott. The pipe organ is a very large instrument. And we’ve never seen one at Hogwarts.”

Scott understood their thinking: "So you suspect there's a hidden room with a pipe organ near the classical music club classrooms?"

That's right.

Milton's tone was filled with anticipation.

"Didn't you hear that? The piece that played tonight was absolutely beautiful! I wonder who was playing it? Maybe it was a ghost musician who has never appeared before us before."

Roger said helplessly, "Many people were terrified at the time, but Milton was the only one who stayed there to enjoy the sound of the organ."

Scott hesitated for a moment, but finally couldn't help but say to them, "Have you ever considered that it might just be someone using a wind-up phonograph?"

To his surprise, Milton, instead of being disappointed, became even more excited after hearing his words. "Is it that kind of Muggle technology that can store and play music? Oh! I really want to try it!"
