“Impressive.” Moody suddenly grinned. “Kid, what grade are you in? Ever thought about becoming an Auror after graduation?”

"Huh?"

Scott was waiting for him to ask what had happened, but he was stunned when he heard these words.

Moody clicked his tongue in displeasure. "What, kid? Haven't you ever thought about becoming a glorious Auror, active on the front lines against dark wizards?"

"Do not……"

Scott was about to speak when he was interrupted again.

"Alright." His tone suddenly became very serious. "After all, three people died, and we can't determine that you are completely innocent yet, so tell me what happened."

"Ok."

Scott began to speak very cooperatively.

Let's start with receiving a call from Michael.

However, his story was interrupted as soon as he got started.

"A cell phone? Is that a new invention of Muggles? A portable telephone, without a telephone line? That's amazing..."

Mr. Weasley's eyes widened; he was clearly very interested in the cell phone.

"Don't get in my way, Arthur!"

Moody glared at him fiercely until he shut his mouth.

Scott gave Mr. Weasley an apologetic look and continued recounting his day.

Without embellishment, he simply recounted how he returned to Hastings after receiving a phone call and fought three wizards.

However, apart from Professor Flitwick, who was aware of his strength, everyone else showed strange expressions after hearing his account of the battle, as if they were listening to a fabricated story.

“Oh, Scott, you should have reported it to the Ministry of Magic immediately after hearing about the damage to the house. The Aurors handle these cases,” Mr. Weasley interjected again.

Scott explained, "Because I wasn't sure if it was the work of a wizard, I wanted to come back and check it out first."

Moody then asked, "Can Transfiguration really achieve the level you're describing?"

Scott nodded.

Several black crows flew down from the sky, their bodies suddenly bursting into flames.

After flying around the group once, the flames on their bodies suddenly subsided, and they opened their mouths to spit out several thin lines of fire.

Although the fire lines looked thin, they were extremely hot, intersecting each other and leaving several charred marks on the ground.

"This is truly unprecedented."

Watching the Fire Raven's performance, Moody's normal eye widened to the same size as his demonic eye.

"After examination, the wounds on the two deceased were indeed caused by such a line of fire," said an Auror who had just examined the bodies.

Moody nodded.

"Now, let's go see your house."

He spoke to Scott in a commanding tone.

Scott nodded and struggled to his feet, and Mr. Weasley quickly supported his arm.

Moody left three Aurors on the cliff to handle the aftermath of the bodies, while the group headed toward the residential area where Trollope's family lived.

They encountered another group of wizards on the road.

“They are members of the Reversal of Accidents team,” Mr. Weasley said softly, supporting Scott.

A middle-aged wizard told Moody, "It's quite a commotion; there are 37 witnesses in total."

As he spoke, he glanced at Scott.

"Several people saw a fire-breathing dragon on the beach, and even a Muggle took a picture!"

Mr. Weasley told Scott, "They're in charge of erasing the memories of those Muggles."

“I’m sorry for the trouble,” Scott said.

“It’s nothing,” the middle-aged wizard shrugged. “It’s just our job.”

After saying this, he Apparated away with the members of the Reversal of Accidental Events Team.

The rest of the group continued on and arrived at Scott's house.

Moody led several Aurors directly into the courtyard and inspected the house for a while.

After leaving the house, Moody said to Scott, "It seems you weren't lying; this house was indeed destroyed by magic."

He glanced back at the dilapidated house and waved.

"Now, come with us to the Ministry of Magic."

Scott had no objection.

He was led by Mr. Weasley and Apparated to the outside of the Ministry of Magic building in London. Afterwards, he followed the group to the Auror Headquarters on the second basement level.

During this time, Professor Flitwick and Mr. Weasley stayed with him.

But upon arriving at the Auror headquarters, they were all driven out by Moody.

Scott sat alone in a small room, watching Moody walk in from outside.

The formal trial began.

Moody's began asking about many details.

Scott had no intention of hiding anything, so he answered truthfully.

This process took a while, with Moody, the old Auror, asking about the whole incident several times.

Scott forced himself to remain patient, answering the same questions repeatedly from time to time.

Moody examined his wand closely and used a flashback spell to replay the magic he had used before finally asking Stirner about his motives for planning the attack.

“I want to know why Idrick Strilner attacked you, and why he brought two relatives who had just escaped from prison with him.”

"I think it's because he hates me..."

Scott honestly recounted the origins of his past conflicts with Stryner at school, specifically the two duels at the dueling club.

"Just because of the loss in the duel?"

Moody frowned upon hearing the answer.

“It wasn’t just because I beat him,” Scott said. “It was because I, a Muggle-born fourth-year wizard, beat him in front of everyone, a seventh-year pure-blood wizard.”

He also brought up the attack on the viaduct, and how he left a "waste" mark on Stryner's forehead.

"Anyway, he didn't bother me again after that. I don't know why he held a grudge about these things until the incident when Elijah Caro broke into Hogwarts and attacked me..."

“You mean, Elijah Caro attacked you because Strilna gave him intelligence, which allowed him to track your movements?” Moody said in a deep voice. “But you’ve never said that before.”

Scott said, "This is what Carol told me herself, but I have no proof."

Moody's demonic eye stared at him for a long while before looking away.

He stopped asking questions and instead began writing something on a piece of parchment with a quill pen.

“I didn’t break the law, did I, Mr. Moody?” Scott asked. “My actions should be considered self-defense, and of course, I used only legal spells during the fight.”

“Wrong!” Moody shouted. “Don’t forget, you are an illegal Animagus!”

“Oh… I only learned it recently, just this summer, and I haven’t had a chance to register yet. The Hogwarts professors can all vouch for me,” Scott quickly said.

"That would be best."

Moody's magic eyes darted around, fixing on Scott once more.

But he did not dwell on the issue of Animagus.

"But you're a bit strange, kid."

A sinister smile appeared on his face, which was covered with horrific scars.

"A Hogwarts student, a minor wizard, why are you always in trouble? I dare say you've had more accidents than Harry Potter, that boy who survived."

“I’d also like to know why,” Scott said with a blank expression.

"If you're really okay with it..."

Moody kept his eyes fixed on Scott.

"Perhaps this is the unique destiny of geniuses; every genius who can ultimately influence the magical world grows up amidst bloodshed and turmoil."

He opened his mouth and chuckled, looking even more terrifying.

Scott didn't know what expression to make, so he could only keep a blank face.

“You can go now.” Moody’s smile faded.

Scott stood up and politely thanked him.

As he walked out of the room, Moody spoke again.

"Although you appear innocent for the time being, I don't completely trust you. I'll continue to investigate you when I have time, kid."

Scott did not respond, and walked out of the small room without stopping, until he left the Auror Command Office.

Professor Flitwick and Mr. Weasley were both waiting for him in the hallway.

“Professor Flitwick, Mr. Weasley.”

Scott thanked the two men again with great ceremony.

Professor Flitwick looked somewhat sad, but still patted his arm reassuringly.

"I'm sorry to say that this kind of thing is still happening, even now." The professor shook his head with a pained expression. "I wonder when the students of Hogwarts will stop hating each other."

Scott said in a low voice, "Professor, I'm so sorry..."

“Oh, I know it wasn’t your fault, Scott.” Professor Flitwick gave him a somewhat forced smile.

Mr. Weasley patted Scott on the shoulder, "There's no way you can hold back against three of us; that would only cost you your life."

Professor Flitwick quickly perked up and asked Scott, "By the way, where should you go now? Summer vacation isn't over yet. Oh, maybe you should go back to your parents. Of course, you can come back to Hogwarts with me for a while, and then I'll send you away from England."

“Come to my house,” Mr. Weasley invited. “Fred and George often talk about you at home. If they heard about today, they’ll be very worried about you. You two even made plans to watch the Quidditch World Cup final together, didn’t you?”
