The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

As he escaped, Sirein created another current of water, and then drifted downstream for a distance.
“Try burning them, Edgar.”
Scott gave the direct order.
"Gah!"
Edgar let out a cry, withdrew the fire that enveloped him, and then spat out a line of fire.
When the scorching flames spewed onto the dense black branches, the intertwined branches instantly shrank back, leaving several trees with bare trunks.
The flames licked at the tree trunk, leaving a mark, but failed to ignite it.
Edgar turned his head and let the fire circulate through the woods a few times, causing all the nearby branches to retract into the trunks.
With the branches no longer obscuring his view, Scott finally saw clearly the bare stone gate standing in the center of the woods.
"stop."
Scott gave the order again.
Edgar immediately stopped spitting fire.
But as soon as the fire disappeared, within seconds, all the branches grew back, completely covering the stone gate once again.
“Sirein, try [Water Blade].
Inside the water sphere, Cirque shook its tail, swam to the edge of the sphere, thrust its long jaws out of the sphere, and then opened its mouth to spit out a thin white stream of water.
The white waterline made a harsh, grating sound as it touched the black branches.
Scott couldn't help but cover his ears.
Very slowly, the water blades cut through several branches in succession, eventually reaching the tree trunk.
The friction sound became even more piercing.
The water blade, which used to be incredibly sharp, now resembles a rusty knife that hasn't been sharpened in a long time; it seems powerless after making a cut in the tree trunk.
"stop."
Sirai obeyed the order and stopped spraying water blades.
Under Scott's watchful eye, the severed branches quickly grew back to their original state.
“We can only use fire here,” Rimbaud said. “Let Edgar use it, and then we can take the opportunity to go to the next level.”
"That's all we can do."
Scott nodded.
"Edgar, fire again!"
"Gah!"
The blazing fire pierced the darkness, and instantly, the branches retreated back into the tree trunk.
“Send the crow to scout ahead,” Scott said to Rimbaud.
"Ok."
Rimbaud cawed a few times at the remaining crows.
Although the crows had narrowly escaped death, they did not disobey Rimbaud's orders and quickly flew back into the forest.
Then, they successfully passed through the strange trees whose branches had retracted into their trunks.
"It seems this is the correct way to pass the level."
Seeing this, Scott also rode his flying broomstick and descended upwards.
Chapter 499 Adventures Must Be Endured to the End
Scott had the crow holding the metal ball approach, shrinking the size of the magic barrier and allowing them to enter the Black Forest.
Then, with Edgar's help, he and Sirein successfully crossed the forest and arrived at the stone gate.
Still riding his flying broomstick, Scott circled the stone gate once, examining it carefully, only to find that the stone gate was bare, without any writing or patterns.
"Try pushing it away, Sirena."
Scott gave the order to Sirein and then stepped aside.
Sylvanas maneuvered the water sphere toward the stone gate, then accelerated slightly and slammed it against the gate with his long jaws.
Bang!
The stone gate remained completely still.
Scott frowned, dismissed Sirein, approached the stone door on his broom, and then placed his hand on the stone door through the magical barrier.
Looking at the unresponsive stone door, Scott said, "Based on my guess, I'm afraid I'll have to remove the magic barrier."
“It’s too dangerous,” Rimbaud said. “You might suffer an even more severe curse.”
Scott smiled.
He found a rope, tied the two golden acorns together, and hung it around his neck.
"Didn't Savannah say that acorns and skulls can ward off some of the curse?"
Next, he used another rope to tightly wrap the alpaca skull and tied it to the waistband of his pants.
"Now that I have personally entered the tower and come this far, I must find the [Heart of the Sacred Tree]."
As he spoke, he removed the magic barrier and then stretched out his hand, allowing the four crows to place the metal ball in his hand.
He put the magic barrier ball into the shapeshifting lizard skin bag, then reached out and pressed his hand against the cold stone door again.
"I now realize that my previous plan was based on wishful thinking."
“Even if I remotely control Sirein and the others from outside the tower according to plan, they still won’t be able to get through this level.”
Just then, the stone gate moved.
Crack... Crack crack... Boom...
The heavy stone door slowly sank into the ground, leaving Scott with only a huge stone door frame and the constantly rotating transparent ripples in the air inside the frame.
"Flames are raging!"
Scott waved his wand to summon fire, and then used the wand to manipulate the fire to form a scorching wall of fire around the stone gate.
"Your work is done, Edgar."
He looked up and called to the fire crows.
"Come on over, we're going to the next floor."
Edgar, who was overhead, stopped spitting fire, let out a cry, and flew to his side.
Scott waved his wand again, transforming Edgar and Cyrene into their smallest possible size.
He took the small wooden boxes out of the lizard skin bag and put them back in their respective compartments.
"Oh, what are you doing, Scott?"
Rimbaud watched his movements and asked curiously.
"Don't you need any help?"
"Let's see how things go." Scott didn't close the lid of the wooden box. "You should go to Horus's too."
"Oh, okay, call us again if you need help."
Rimbaud obediently crawled into the cubicle that belonged to Horus.
Scott carefully put away the box and the flying broom, gripped his wand tightly, and stepped into the stone doorway.
As he stepped over the doorway, he was met with a desolate, barren, rocky area.
When I turned around, the door frame had disappeared.
He looked up at the sky, where a starry sky that looked remarkably real.
Those twinkling stars were also the light source that allowed him to see his surroundings.
Suddenly, a shooting star appeared in the "sky".
The meteor streaked across the "sky," growing larger and larger until it finally transformed into a rapidly falling rock.
Clearly, the huge rock landed right where he was.
If he had run, Scott wouldn't have had time to dodge.
Scott immediately transformed into a peregrine falcon and flew a distance at an extremely fast speed.
Soon, he heard a loud crash of rocks hitting the ground behind him.
He flew nimbly, dodging several flying stones.
Once it became completely quiet behind him, Scott slowed down and looked back at the "sky".
At this point, the worst-case scenario occurred.
A meteor shower has begun to fall in the sky.
Countless rocks instantly grew larger in his vision, whistling as they crashed to the ground.
Scott accelerated again, weaving through falling boulders and flying rocks amidst a constant roar.
He did not attempt to use a magical barrier or armor to protect himself.
The force of such a huge rock falling from the sky was terrifying, and neither his magic barrier nor his armor could withstand it.
After what seemed like an eternity, perhaps five or ten minutes, the deadly meteor shower finally stopped.
Scott immediately transformed back into human form and sat on the ground, catching his breath.
He glanced at his mechanical wristwatch, found a bottle of stamina-replenishing potion, and tilted his head back to gulp it down.
Then, he took out the small wooden box containing the "summoned beast," took out Golza, and enlarged it with an expansion spell.
"If that Doherty from a thousand years ago died under the falling rocks, the [Heart of the Sacred Tree] must have been buried underground. Go find it, Golza, and be quick!"
Golza nodded its big head and then burrowed into the ground.
