The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

After successfully making it, he held up his finished product—
A pile of jewelry and a key were presented to the father, Michael.
"This is a ring that allows you to manipulate magic for a short period of time."
Scott first took out a ring and showed it to his father.
"This function is made possible by this gem."
He pointed to the sapphire set in the ring.
"This is a gem that contains magic."
"Oh?"
Michael put on the ring with interest.
How do I use it?
"Just one last step."
Scott made him take off the ring, then took some of his blood and used it to carve several runes on the surface of the ring.
"That's fine."
"Oh? I'll give it a try."
Michael was in high spirits.
"I'm afraid that won't work."
Scott stopped him.
“You have no magic, so I used our blood relationship to allow you to forcibly activate the ring and unleash the magic contained within the gem.”
"This also means that the burst of magic is uncontrollable, so this ring is prone to damage."
"Disposable items?"
"No, it's just..."
Scott shrugged.
"I don't know how many times it can be used."
"In addition, this ring will also activate automatically if you are in danger."
"It has three functions."
"First, create a magical barrier to repel other people and all magical attacks near you, protecting your safety."
What Scott didn't say was that the ring could create a magical barrier with spatial magic, which could even briefly resist the Killing Curse.
Of course, this is also why he judged the ring to be easily damaged.
"Second, teleport the wearers of these ornaments into the magic barrier."
Scott then took out a pile of exquisite ornaments.
There are various styles of brooches, cufflinks, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair clips, etc., and each piece of jewelry is inlaid with a magical gemstone.
However, these ornaments cannot be activated by the wearer; they will only activate synchronously when the ring's owner, Michael, activates the ring.
"Third, activate this key."
Scott then took out a long, bronze key.
"Once the key is activated, it will immediately teleport the target within the magic barrier to the [Eye of Odin] space."
"I understand."
Michael nodded.
He glanced at Scott's dark circles and patted him on the shoulder.
"Go and get some rest, son. Leave everything else to me."
Scott nodded.
Before leaving, he turned around and smiled, saying, "Among those ornaments, there is one that is special. When its owner is in danger, the ring on your hand will activate on its own."
"Is this for your mother?"
Michael laughed too.
He accurately selected the necklace from a pile of jewelry that best suited Emilia's aesthetic.
“You’re right. Even if your enemies come knocking, they won’t bypass Millie and me to go after your uncle and the others.”
With the Christmas holidays over and plans in place, Scott returned to England a day early, feeling relatively at ease.
Nothing has happened to Mr. Grevis in the past few days.
Of course, Scott did not rely solely on Mr. Grevis's notification to make his judgment.
Considering that Mr. Grevis and his son were subdued instantly and he could not be informed of their situation, he had already placed "eyes" in Mr. Grevis's house through Mr. Grevis's hands.
As Scott's alchemical skills have improved, his "eyes" can now do more than just monitor; they can also provide automatic warnings through remote communication with the [Magic Mirror].
Upon returning to Milton's apartment, Scott immediately narrowed his eyes.
Someone else has come.
Although he didn't sense any residual magical fluctuations, some things in the room were not arranged as they were when he left.
"Still not giving up?"
He muttered to himself, not understanding what the other party was doing.
There was no movement from Mr. Grevis, but he kept coming to this apartment.
Scott reached out and opened a portal of light, entering the [Eye of Odin] space and bringing Milton out.
"Your grandfather might be a troublesome person."
Scott said to Milton.
"Otherwise, why would they try to take you hostage?"
“I don’t know,” Milton shook his head. “I know nothing about my grandfather.”
Scott said, "I remember your grandfather didn't only have your father as a son?"
Milton said, "Didn't my father tell you? My uncle's family has disappeared."
“Disappeared?” Scott raised an eyebrow.
Milton said, "I heard it from my mother. Their family disappeared a long time ago, but my grandfather wasn't worried at all. My mother thought they must have gone abroad to hide."
"I see."
Scott nodded knowingly, then stood up.
"Let's go for a walk."
"what do you mean?"
"If anyone keeps watching this place, let them know you've shown up again."
Scott opened the apartment door.
"I want to know if anyone will show up directly in front of us. If they don't dare to show up, we can still find them."
"Alright."
Milton agreed.
He carried a magic wand with him, as well as a Scottish bagpipe.
Scott asked, "So you can perform musical magic with instruments other than the cello?"
Milton nodded. "Although it doesn't sound as good as a cello."
The two left the apartment and went downstairs for a walk around the nearby neighborhood.
"Target discovery".
Scott looked up at the top of a bank building across the street.
"Walk."
He took off running and came to a deserted alley behind a street, piled with trash cans. He then Apparated amidst the screams of a stray cat.
But when he reached the top of the bank building, he saw a figure in a green robe teleport away.
Milton did not follow.
A diversionary tactic?
Just as Scott was about to return to the alley, magic surged from the concrete ground beneath his feet, and the anti-Apparition spell that the other party had set up took shape.
"Tsk."
Scott transformed into a peregrine falcon and swooped down directly across the street.
But that back alleyway with its trash cans and stray cats has been erased, leaving no trace.
In his Animagus form, Scott was unable to use his magical senses. He could only land in another deserted alley, transform back into human form, and then use his magical senses to find the hidden alley.
This time, he quickly noticed something amiss.
Turning around and running, Scott circled around a distance and charged straight at a seemingly solid wall.
In a flash, he found himself back in the alleyway filled with garbage bins.
The green-robed man was waiting there, pressing his wand against Milton's temple.
"You're late, Trollope."
The man in the green robe wore a hood, revealing only his face below the tip of his nose.
"It's you again." Scott sensed it carefully. "This time it's your real body."
"Yes."
The other party laughed with an air of smug confidence.
"Don't make any moves, Trollope, or I can't guarantee I won't hurt your friend."
