"Arthur!"

Mordred roared like a wild beast again and suddenly moved.

"Arthur!"

He gripped his blood-stained lance and, like a gust of wind, ran past Scott and plunged into the forest behind him.

"Let's follow them!"

Savannah turned around, and a green halo erupted.

She grabbed Scott's wrist and started running, following behind Mordred.

Mordred runs incredibly fast, and wherever he steps, the surrounding flowers and plants wither and die instantly, and even the towering trees he passes by will inexplicably lose their leaves.

With Savannah's magical blessing, Scott and his companion barely managed to stay close behind him, always keeping a safe distance.

This journey seemed exceptionally long.

Even as Scott ran out of energy and Savannah began to pant, they still hadn't left the forest, and Mordred continued to run tirelessly ahead.

"This won't do..."

Scott stopped.

"We...must conserve our energy."

He waved his wand, and the ground in front of him suddenly rose up and deformed, turning into a two-seater sled.

As he chanted the incantation again, the sled lost its weight and floated up.

Then, he used his shapeshifting ability to create two enormous cheetahs.

"go!"

He pulled Savannah onto the sled and fastened her safety belt.

"Roar……"

Two cheetahs roared and sped through the forest, pulling the hover sled.

Scott took out a [Magic Barrier Ball] and created a magical barrier that enveloped the sled, blocking the oncoming gale.

"I didn't think about it..."

Savannah was a little embarrassed.

"Sorry, I didn't know you had this kind of lazy magic. All I knew was to drag you along at breakneck speed."

Scott waved his hand.

He was so tired that he didn't want to talk. He took out a magic potion to replenish his strength and gave one to Savannah.

Savanna shook her head in refusal, and from her hand holding the long wooden staff, specks of green light flew out and scattered, replenishing Scott's and her own strength and accelerating the recovery of magic power.

Scott assessed his recovery progress and then put away the potion.

Cheetahs pulling sleds run extremely fast and tirelessly.

Following Mordred's footprints, they soon saw him running away again.

"What do you think..."

"What do you think..."

Scott and Savannah spoke at the same time.

They exchanged a glance, and Scott gestured for Savannah to speak first.

"Is he really Mordred?" Savannah asked, her voice filled with uncertainty.

"Who knows?"

Scott, of course, couldn't determine either.

"It seems to match the records."

Savannah recalled the records of that period of history.

"At the end of the Battle of Camlann, King Arthur thrust his spear forcefully into Mordred behind his shield, piercing his body."

Scott said, "People only record where King Arthur went; there seems to be no record of Mordred's body."

Savannah said in a speculative tone, "Perhaps that gun... is the one that killed Mordred, and it belongs to King Arthur."

Scott followed her lead and guessed, "King Arthur's body was brought here for burial by the fairies who ruled Avalon. They left the spear that killed Mordred in the stream, and eventually, Mordred's blood and resentment formed a monster?"

Savannah said with a smile, "This is a common way of writing stories."

“Follow him,” Scott smiled. “Follow him, and we’ll see the real answer.”

Savannah nodded.

Scott kept estimating the time until another dusk fell, when they finally saw Mordred burst out of the dark forest and run into the setting sun.

Beyond the forest lies a meadow, and beyond the meadow lies a lake.

However, this lake is much smaller than the swamps surrounding Apple Island, and you can even see the other side at a glance.

Mordred ran to the lake and stopped, looking at the mirror-like surface of the lake reflecting the sky, and the small island in the middle of the lake.

Scott also made the cheetah stop and watch from a distance.

"On that island... are there apple trees?"

“Yes,” Savannah said, “King Arthur’s tomb is there.”

"Arthur!"

Mordred roared again and jumped into the lake.

Despite wearing heavy armor, he did not sink.

His feet were shrouded in blood-red smoke as he ran across the water as if it were flat ground, rushing towards the small island in the lake.

"Arthur!"

"Arthur!"

“Arthur…”

He didn't stop yelling as he ran, each scream becoming more and more shrill.

There were no Green Knights to stop him in the lake, and Mordred quickly set foot on the small island covered with apple trees.

"Let's go over there too."

Scott jumped off the hoversled, and after Savannah followed, he turned it into a small boat.

After moving the small boat to the water, Scott did not call for help from Sir Rein. Instead, he and Savannah rowed slowly towards the island in the lake.

"It's too quiet."

Savannah looked at the island in the lake with some curiosity.

After Mordred went up, there was no further sound.

Because the apple trees blocked their view, they couldn't see what was happening on the island.

"Medea has arrived as well."

Scott suddenly turned his head and looked at the other side of the lake shore, just in time to see Medea and Aaron walking out of the woods.

"Only the two of them?" Savannah asked, somewhat surprised.

"Are you guys okay?"

Aaron waved to the two people on the boat, a warm and bright smile on his face.

Scott didn't answer, he just nodded.

"How indifferent."

Aaron complained, seemingly genuinely but also feigning sincerity.

"My dear sister, why don't you row your little boat to fetch me?"

Savannah said coldly, "Our boat can't hold you. You can make your own boat, my dear brother."

"good idea!"

Aaron clapped his hands, took the short wooden staff hanging from his belt, and waved it.

Several green vines sprouted from the soil, twisted and bound together, and soon formed the shape of a boat before falling into the lake.

Once the boat was fully formed, the vines growing in the soil quietly separated from it.

"Please, esteemed lady."

Aaron bent down and gestured to Medea to invite her.

After Medea boarded the boat, he jumped on as well and took hold of the oar.

"Let's have a competition."

He laughed heartily.

"Let's see who can row their boat to the island in the middle of the lake first."

Scott and Savannah ignored him and continued paddling at their original pace.

Aaron didn't care. Without Medea making a move, he rowed frantically by himself and quickly caught up with Scott and Savannah, keeping pace with their boat.

Scott did not stop them.

"It seems you had a smooth journey."

Aaron sized up Scott and Savannah.

"Unlike here, several people have died along the way."

Even while talking about the dead, he always had a sunny smile on his face.

“Even my other sister, Maeve, was killed by the Green Knight while crossing the swamp. How pitiful, isn’t it?”

Upon hearing this news, Savannah turned her head and looked at him coldly.

"Don't you feel any guilt at all?" she asked.
