The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

Merlin's tone was completely flat.
“I could have saved him, and with the faith he held in England, he could have even achieved a kind of immortality, but he refused.”
"Why?" Savannah was even more confused. "He is the king. Why doesn't he care about his own death or the destruction of the kingdom?"
Merlin said, "Because Arthur is such a boring person, and he has never changed from childhood to adulthood."
Scott said, "I think there must be something more important that he was willing to sacrifice, such as... maintaining Avalon's existence."
“You are indeed very perceptive, Scott.” Merlin’s smile widened. “That is indeed the main reason.”
"Why?" Savannah asked again, curious. "What important significance does Avalon's existence hold?"
Scott laughed immediately upon hearing this. "It's a bit strange of you to ask that, Savannah. Avalon is the holy land of you druids."
Savannah glanced at him. “That is certainly true for us druids. But I don’t believe King Arthur would sacrifice himself for such a reason, and incidentally, his kingdom and nine fairies as well.”
Scott and Savannah both looked at Merlin, for only he knew the real reason.
Merlin said, "My 'all-seeing eye' not only sees the present from the past a thousand years ago, but also the more distant future that begins from the present."
He paused for two seconds, then continued, "A future where magic has completely disappeared."
"The magic disappeared?" Savannah was shocked once again. "Why did the magic disappear? Could it be...?"
Her face turned pale, and she turned to look at Scott, as if hoping to get a negative answer from him.
But Scott wasn't as excited as she was.
"I've had that guess."
He said it calmly.
"As Muggles' technology develops faster and faster, and their exploration of this planet deepens, they will gradually encroach on the few remaining living spaces of wizards."
He shrugged as he said this.
"Wizards who are now forced to hide in the cracks of the world will find it increasingly difficult to survive, and may even be discovered by Muggles."
Savannah asked him, "Do you think wizards will face destruction once they are discovered by Muggles? Do Muggles possess powers that wizards cannot attain?"
Clearly, she did not agree with this conclusion.
Scott countered, "Have you ever thought about how many wizards in the wizarding world come from Muggle families like me?"
Savannah's expression changed.
“A wizard of my lineage would never agree to war with Muggles, at least not me,” Scott continued. “Obviously, if I agreed to kill other Muggles today, another wizard might raise his wand against my parents tomorrow.”
At this point, he looked at Merlin, "That's why I founded the 'Tower of Babel' organization, trying to create a world that belongs only to magic, completely separating wizards and Muggles."
Merlin smiled without saying a word, while Savannah gently shook her head.
“Wait a minute,” she said. “What do all this have to do with King Arthur’s choices more than a thousand years ago?”
Scott laughed. "Don't you understand? Avalon is the key to this matter. The existence of this vast secret realm can become the foundation of my envisioned 'magical world,' saving me a lot of time in achieving my ultimate goal."
Savannah nodded as if she understood, "What does this have to do with King Arthur? He wasn't a wizard, he was a king."
Merlin then spoke.
He said, "King Arthur was certainly a wizard, but he chose to become a knight and a king."
Savannah still found it unbelievable, "King Arthur knew what Scott wanted to do..."
Scott shook his head. "Perhaps he just wants Avalon to remain as a fallback for all English wizards."
“No…” Savannah was completely confused. “Merlin said they saw a future where magic would disappear. Could it be because Scott failed?”
“No.” Merlin smiled mysteriously. “Scott is the only exception. He was not observed by the [Eye of the Far Side]. All we know is that he has no future.”
Savannah then thought of the prophecy about Scott.
"Yes, he is [a non-existent person]."
"The Eye of a Thousand Miles has lost its ability to observe the future, and no one knows what the future holds."
Merlin looked at Scott and said.
"I look forward to seeing what kind of wonderful future you young people will create, whether it be survival or destruction, it is better than stagnation."
“I’ll always be watching you, Scott.”
After he finished speaking, his figure vanished like a dream bubble.
“I still don’t quite understand.” Savannah ruffled her hair. “Isn’t Merlin King Arthur’s teacher? Why is he so indifferent to all this? And what exactly happened after Slytherin entered Avalon?”
"Perhaps Merlin was simply respecting King Arthur's own choice."
Scott stood up.
What he didn't say was that perhaps that's why Merlin hated a predictable, unchanging future.
They even summoned Scott, asking him to try and change the future where the magic had disappeared.
"As for Slytherin, it's simple: the Arthurian spirit he saw was fake, and his wish was ultimately just an illusion."
King Arthur's soul has transformed into a red dragon, and even if he possesses the king's body, he cannot inherit everything the king has to offer.
"I think we should go out."
"Can we go out now?"
Savannah also stood up and reached out to tidy her hair.
"Isn't anything else needed to be done?" she asked. "Didn't you say that the entire Avalon Mystic Realm was the foundation upon which you created the 'Magic World'?"
Scott said, "Through 'communication' with [the Eye of the Far East], I have gained initial control here, but the rest of the work will take a lot of time."
He turned around and extended his hand to Savannah.
"And now, we need to go out and tell everyone what's happening here. Now, take my hand."
Savannah nodded, picked up her long wooden cane, walked to Scott's side, and took the hand Scott extended.
"gone."
In the blink of an eye, the two left the flower sea secret realm and arrived at the edge of Avalon, standing under the huge oak tree.
"Go out."
Scott released Savannah's hand.
An invisible wind began to swirl around the two of them, lifting their bodies into the air.
Savannah raised the long wooden staff in her hand, and a green light shone. The tightly wrapped branches unfurled, revealing the dark passage within.
The two entered the passage together.
After a period of darkness, when the light returned, they heard shouts.
"They're out!"
"They're out!"
Scott looked down at the druids gazing up at them, smiled at the leader, Mr. Doherty, and gently landed with Savannah.
Old Doherty stepped forward and looked at the two of them, his wrinkles instantly smoothing out.
"Since you all came out unharmed, it means that you defeated Slytherin."
“Grandfather…” Savannah’s eyes instantly reddened, and her voice trembled slightly, “Aaron… he has returned to nature…”
Old Doherty paused for two seconds.
“I understand,” he said calmly. “Returning to nature is the right path for all of us.”
After he finished speaking, he turned to look at Scott.
“I think you must have gone through a lot these past few days. If possible, the old man would also like to know what exactly happened in Avalon.”
Scott nodded.
"Sawana will tell you."
As he spoke, he turned around.
"And now..."
He looked down into the dark passageway in mid-air.
Under his gaze, the passage gradually shrank and finally disappeared.
He turned back to the druids and said, "From this day forward, Avalon is under my control, and you no longer have the means to open the passage."
"What……"
The druids all wore expressions of disbelief, and some even showed signs of anger.
Just as they were about to question Scott, old Doherty raised his right hand to stop them.
"and many more……"
His aged eyes stared at Scott.
"I think you should give us a reasonable explanation."
“Of course.” Scott nodded with a smile.
A few hours later, Scott left the "Sea of Oaks" directly.
The druids became the first inhabitants of the Avalon Mystic Realm a thousand years later.
Scott skillfully tore through space and arrived at his home in Madrid.
He was greeted by a warm embrace from his mother, Emilia.
Scott patted his mother on the back reassuringly, while noticing the questioning look in his father Michael's eyes.
A bright smile spread across his face as he silently said to his father, "Everything is resolved."
Michael nodded, though he tried to remain composed, a relieved smile still showing on his face.
He walked straight over and stretched out his arms to embrace Scott and Emilia together.
That evening, Scott sat alone in his room.
On the desk by the window are a [magic mirror] and a [blank picture frame].
