The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

"A magic school?" Noah's eyes lit up.
“We’re not going!” Takkun refused outright. “Noah has already chosen the high school he’ll attend; we won’t allow him to learn any magic!”
"It's magic."
Jacob emphasized this point, then suddenly his figure flashed and disappeared from the spot.
Noah is a minor wizard.
As the sound came, Noah and his son turned around and found Jacob already standing inside their garden.
“I think you’ve already noticed this, haven’t you?” he asked with a smile. “Some inexplicable strange things are bound to happen during a young wizard’s growth.”
"What is this? It's so cool!"
Noah stared in shock at Jacob, who had suddenly appeared behind him; he was completely taken aback by Jacob's move.
"A wizard?" Tarkun was also shocked. "I thought he was just a little strange."
At that moment, Noah's mother, Zara, also came out of the house.
“Please tell us more about wizards, Mr. Kent,” she pleaded.
Clearly, she had overheard their conversation from inside the house.
"of course."
Jacob was thus invited into the house by the family.
“In the past, Hogwarts would send acceptance letters to young wizards by owl, but these owls often caused a lot of trouble when they appeared in the Muggle world, so now the teachers simply deliver them to the wizards in person.”
As he spoke, he took a letter out of his pocket and handed it to Noah.
"Fortunately, Hogwarts still only needs to guide the new students in the British Isles... Oh, thank you, ma'am."
He accepted the hot tea offered by Chara and thanked her casually.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
At this point, Noah had already begun reading the letter.
“Headmistress… Minerva McGonagall… Dear Mr. Evans, we are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
"Enclosed is a list of required books and equipment... The semester is scheduled to begin on September 1st... Please follow the teacher's guidance to complete the pre-enrollment preparations."
“Vice Principal Neville Longbottom, Yours sincerely.”
He finished reading the letter with lingering interest, then stared intently at Jacob.
"This……"
He swallowed hard.
"Is this true? I can really learn magic?"
“Of course.” Jacob smiled gently. “You know you’re different, don’t you?”
Noah nodded vigorously. "I often accidentally break things in the house. And once, I automatically returned to shore when I fell into the water. And..."
"Yes."
Jacob put down his teacup, stopping the boy from talking on and on.
"This is all because you are a little wizard."
He seemed to sense Noah's parents' unease and vigilance, so he took a small stick out of his pocket, shook it, and turned the teacup on the table into a real mouse.
"Oh……"
Amidst gasps of surprise, he transformed the mouse, which was about to escape from the table, back into a teacup.
"Young wizards must go to school to learn how to control their magic, otherwise it will harm them..."
He began explaining to the two parents the necessity of attending a magic school.
Takun and Chara seemed to understand, but were still somewhat uncertain.
"Then what will happen to him in the future?" Chara asked with some worry. "I mean, if he goes to study magic, will he be able to make a good living in the future?"
"Don't worry, the magical world has been at peace for many years."
Jacob spoke patiently.
"After graduating from magic school, he can find a job in the magic world, or he can choose to continue his studies and get into a magic university..."
He simply gave a brief overview of the current state of the magical world, but Noah listened with rapt attention.
Finally, when Jacob stood up to say goodbye, Noah was still reluctant to part with him.
"Alright, then we'll meet at the entrance of King's Cross Station in London in ten days. That's your only chance as parents to visit the Wizarding World."
After saying that, he disappeared.
"Oh, Dad, Mom, is this true?"
Noah blinked, afraid that everything that had just happened was an illusion.
Kunta and Chara exchanged a glance.
“I think it’s true,” Chara said.
In the following days, Noah felt that each day passed exceptionally slowly.
Finally, the appointed day arrived, and Noah, accompanied by his parents, took the train to London.
At the bustling King's Cross station, they finally met Professor Jacob Kent again.
At this time, there were several other families like theirs around Jacob, and each of them had a tense expression on their face.
"Alright, everyone's finally here."
Jacob waved.
"Please follow me."
With that, he turned and walked into the station.
The Evans family quickly followed behind him. Noah looked around nervously, too nervous to talk to the other children his age.
Jacob led them on a walk, not to the station hall or the platform, but to a door in a somewhat secluded location.
The door was bare and had no nameplate.
He pushed open the door and went inside.
"Good morning, Professor Kent. Are you a freshman?"
With a greeting, Noah saw the scene behind the door.
A large hall.
“Hello, Gerber,” Jacob replied to the young man who greeted him. “Yes, these are the new students and their parents.”
Gerber nodded and quickly greeted them, "Hello, welcome, please line up here."
Noah and the others followed his instructions and lined up in front of a full-length mirror.
Noah, who was ranked first, looked at himself in the mirror, somewhat puzzled, when a woman's voice came from the mirror.
"Noah Evans, Hogwarts freshman of 2022, passed."
"All right."
Jacob patted Noah on the shoulder and told him to stand aside.
"Takhun Evans, parent of newborn Noah Evans, approved."
At that moment, the mirror revealed Noah's father's identity.
“This is a necessary procedure for entering the magical world,” Jacob explained to Noah. “Your files have already been backed up.”
After everyone had passed the mirror test, Jacob led them to the center of the hall.
The ground here is decorated with intricate patterns outlined in metal and inlaid with some large, sparkling gemstones, which makes everyone's eyes widen in amazement.
"Prepare!"
Jacob spoke loudly and raised his wand.
"Time to go!"
Then, a dazzling white light enveloped them all, obscuring their vision.
"Alright, welcome to the new Diagon Alley Square!"
Upon hearing Jacob's voice again, Noah slowly opened his eyes.
Wow…
Exclamations rose and fell, everyone staring in shock at what they were seeing.
Side Story 005. Noah's Fantastic Journey (Part 2)
"WOW..."
Noah couldn't help but open his mouth wide, looking at everything before him that was beyond his imagination.
They were currently in a small square surrounded by white pillars.
There are many squares like this, and people occasionally appear in them accompanied by a beam of white light.
These smaller plazas, used as teleportation arrays, are built around a larger plaza.
This large square was bigger than any square he had seen in London.
The square is surrounded by tall buildings and has a network of roads leading in all directions.
But unlike London, there are no cars on the roads here.
The male and female wizards, dressed in robes, either walked on the streets or flew back and forth in the air on broomsticks.
On the high-rise buildings, countless shop signs and advertisements change colors.
Unlike the neon lights and advertising screens that Noah was familiar with, many of these advertisements and signs are semi-transparent and float quietly in the air.
Only a few of the screens displaying advertisements were physical structures embedded in the building, and the images in those advertisements were incredibly clear.
