After hearing his phone ring, Liu Yuyang picked it up and looked at it. When he saw the message from Chen Ling, he looked back at Chen Ling.

Just then, Chen Ling smiled at Liu Yuyang.

Liu Yuyang then laughed. However, his laugh was bitter; it was a forced smile. He and Chen Mengyao were in this state because of their own actions, and so, wanting to reconcile, he didn't know how.

"Liu Yuyang looks quite pitiful," Li Lili said softly, turning to Chen Ling.

"Yes, but he'll have to rely on himself from now on. There's not much we can do to help," Chen Ling said calmly.

"Yes, I'm willing but unable," Li Lili said helplessly.

"I'm powerless to do it," Chen Ling said.

Not long after, Chen Ling and his team returned to the company. As soon as they got out of the car, Chen Ling hurriedly said to them, "I'm sure everyone had a lot of fun these past two days of team building. At the same time, I know you're all very tired. Go back and get some rest today, and let's get back to work tomorrow."

After Chen Ling finished speaking, he quickly took Li Lili back home.

"That's great news! Let's go out for dinner tonight," Chen Ling said happily.

As soon as Li Lili finished speaking, she immediately laughed again.

So Li Lili watched Chen Ling's satisfied expression, and felt extremely happy herself. Seeing Chen Ling so happy because of her words filled her with warmth and joy.

However, Chen Ling happily hummed a little tune all the way home.

"What good news? It can't be..." Li Lili said in surprise.
