Unspeakable bubbles

"Sister, sister is gone," the little girl said, her head bowed and tears welling in her round eyes.
"...Gone? What happened?" Ignoring Aya's piercing gaze, the man decided to play the villain to the end.
It doesn't matter if he's misunderstood by younger generations or branded as a bully of children. But one question lingered in the man's mind. As a seasoned veteran, he knew that sympathy was a bad idea at this time.
The little girl turned around, walked to the bedside, picked up a roughly made black rabbit doll, and remained silent for a while.
Aya was extremely embarrassed. She wanted to say something, but found her senior's expression was cold and stern. She opened her mouth, but in the end, she swallowed her words back.
That night, Bubble was hungry.
The little girl's soft voice rang out: "My stomach keeps rumbling."
"Sasha heard that and is going to take Bubble to find something to eat."
.................................................. .....
"Silly Bubble, if you're hungry, you should eat something!" A girl who looked about 70% like Bubble, but whose tone and manner were quite different, scolded her. "If you're hungry, you should tell your older sister! Come on, let's go to the kitchen to find something to eat!"
"But, but, the dean said we can't go to the kitchen after seven o'clock." Bubble said weakly, looking at her sister who seemed indifferent.
"You big idiot! I'll cut you!"
"Eh"
The little girl covered her head after getting a bubble on it, looking at Sasha with a puzzled expression.
"Bubble is a good girl, I've known that for a long time. But Sasha isn't."
The older sister revealed a mischievous smile, "Now, naughty Sasha is going to take Bubble out to cause trouble!"
"Well"
Seeing Sasha's radiant expression, Bubble knew she had no choice but to play along.
"Let's go, let's go!"
Holding hands, the two strolled casually towards the kitchen. At first, Bubble was worried, but the journey went very smoothly. There were no patrolling aunties at night, and they didn't encounter any other children going to the toilet at night.
As Sasha approached the kitchen, she pushed the door open gently.
"Sister, you're so amazing! Did you know the door wasn't locked all along?"
Bubble was a little surprised. It seemed her older sister hadn't just acted without thinking; she was also very meticulous and...
"How was I supposed to know the door wasn't locked?" Sasha said, puzzled.
"What if the door isn't open?"
"We'll see when the time comes," Sasha said casually, looking relaxed and nonchalant.
"But, but..." The little girl was a bit confused and wanted to say something more.
"Alright, let's stop dawdling and get going!"
Sasha went in first. The dark kitchen was a little eerie, but the little girl was not afraid at all. She fumbled to turn on the gas stove, and the small flame immediately relieved Bubble's fear.
"Okay, close the door, or the patrolling auntie might see us."
As she spoke, Sasha opened the refrigerator, "There's still a lot of stuff,"
"Sister, older sister"
"We're out of eggs, but we have milk and plenty of bread."
"Sasha, Sasha!"
"Eating the leftovers shouldn't be noticed... What's wrong?"
Hearing her younger sister's voice, which sounded like she was about to cry, Sasha turned around.
"The fire is getting bigger!"
Sasha was taken aback, only then realizing that there seemed to be something wrong with the gas stove.
The small flame suddenly began to flicker irregularly, growing stronger and stronger, with a terrifying aura.
Without thinking, Sasha immediately closed the refrigerator and was about to take action, but it was too late!
"Whoosh!" The orange flames spread unchecked.
Burn, burn, burn, burn, burn, burn!
One moment of hesitation, and the situation spiraled out of control.
"Strange, this is very strange."
Sasha was completely bewildered by what she was seeing. It was all too fast, far too fast. How could a fire happen so unexpectedly, so rapidly?
"Bubble, open the door!"
Seeing her dazed younger sister, Sasha called out anxiously.
"Oh, oh"
Bubble woke up as if from a dream, turned around and ran to the door.
Just then, with a "click," someone locked the door from the inside.
Section 4, Chapter 004: The Mischievous Good Sister
"Sasa" bubble pushed the door, but it didn't budge, so she had to turn around and ask her sister for help.
"Oh dear, this is troublesome."
With her hands on her hips like a little adult, Sasha looked left and right, trying to find a way out.
"Jump out the window... no way!" In the blink of an eye, raging flames blocked their path.
"The door won't open... but the window above it can't be locked." Sasha looked up slightly and realized that the door was indeed locked, but the window above the door couldn't be locked from the inside.
Sasha quickly called out, "Bubble, let's move the chairs together!"
"Coming, coming!"
The little girl clumsily ran over and, together with her sister, dragged the chair to the door.
"Sasha, what should we do?"
Bubble was sweating profusely, her eyes reddening; everything before her was beyond her comprehension. Instinctively, she turned to the person she trusted most for help.
“A chair…” Sasha compared her height to the window, then turned around to see orange flames raging.
"There's no time left," Sasha thought with a touch of melancholy, but seeing Bubble's dependent gaze, she simply smiled.
She climbed onto the chair and beckoned to her younger sister, "Bubble, come here."
"See that window up there? Yes, that's it. In a bit, step on my shoulders to climb over. Believe in yourself, you can do it, Bubble."
"But Sasha, what will you do?" The little girl shook her head repeatedly. "Bubble can't leave her sister behind!"
"...Silly Bubble"
Sasha wiped her eyes, which were stinging from the thick smoke: "Once Bubble escapes, quickly call someone to save your sister. Her life is in your hands."
The little girl felt something was wrong, but under her older sister's repeated urging, she obediently stepped onto her sister's shoulders.
"Bubble"
"what?"
Bubble, who was half-out of the window, stopped immediately when she heard her sister speak.
"Be a good child."
Sasha's tone was somewhat inexplicable. After speaking, she jumped up and pushed her younger sister's feet with both hands.
"Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!"
Sasha was in pain all over after falling to the ground, and she didn't even think about getting up again.
Finally, after silently blessing her younger sister, she stared at the flames spreading forward and sighed softly.
"I wonder who it is..."
........................................................
As the little girl recounted her story, the room fell silent.
The 'veteran driver' rarely showed any regret; perhaps, this time he really was wrong.
Aya's eyes were already red. She walked to the bedside and hugged Bubble's little head.
"Bubble....."
"Gu, gaa ...
"Bubble is such a fool, it's all Bubble's fault. If it weren't for finding food for Bubble, Sasha, your sister wouldn't have died."
"It was an accident, honey. Cry it out, it'll make you feel better."
The man silently left the room, leaned against the wall, and lit a cigarette.
Hearing the sobbing coming from inside the room, he felt a pang of sadness.
After waiting a while, his phone vibrated. After looking at the message, the man stubbed out his cigarette and knocked on the door with a hint of helplessness.
"Aya, bring Bubble out, reinforcements have arrived."
The talking inside stopped, and soon after, Aya led the little girl out.
"Senior, since this is a misunderstanding, then Bubble,"
"I understand how you feel, but the procedures have to be followed... There's nothing I can do about it."
The three walked downstairs in silence, through the sea of flowers, and as soon as they stepped out of the orphanage, they found a group of heavily armed soldiers waiting outside as if facing a formidable enemy.
The man raised his hands, but his face showed an expression that seemed to have been expected: "Don't get agitated, it's just a misunderstanding, comrades, please remain calm."
After calming the uneasy Bubble down, Aya also raised her hands: "Calm down, don't frighten the child."
The soldiers holding submachine guns remained expressionless and motionless, as if they hadn't heard what they were saying.
After a while, a burly man dressed in black and wearing sunglasses walked towards them.
